We love getting coffee and a bagel bomb in the morning and stopping by for their lunch special in the afternoon. This place has it all!" - Ghostly Ferns

Well, besides the fact that the full menu is available here, there's also some additional perks. Those perks? Two words: Fancy Milkshakes. The milk oozes. The world is good. The peanut butter pie made me call my mother in happy tears as I finally understood how much she loved me

Google
My experience was a 10/10 we came because my sister watched her documentary and was inspired so we decided to come and visit. I ordered a blueberry cookie, and the cornflake chocolate chip marshmallow

Anthony M

Google
Grabbed a slice of cake and cookie from milk. Cake was moist and sweet but massively overpriced at 11$ for a very small slice. Cookie was average for 2$, but I'm not sure I'd go back.

Google
It was as amazing as promised. I first discovered this establishment on Christina Tosi’s episode of Chef’s Table, and it (SOFT) served.

Google
Milk Bar is an absolute gem! The service is exceptional, with staff members who are not only attentive and efficient but also genuinely friendly. Their warmth and professionalism set the perfect tone for a great experience. The atmosphere at Milk Bar is vibrant and inviting. It's a fantastic place for a good conversation, whether you're catching up with friends or meeting new people. The vibe is energetic yet relaxed, making it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy yourself. Overall, Milk Bar delivers a stellar experience with top-notch service and an unbeatable ambiance. Highly recommended!

Google
been wanting to try this place for ages and finally ordered last night. tried the red velvet cheesecake which was just ok. the cream cheese is good but the cake is kind of mid. nothing special and the portion is small for the price. definitely want to try the cereal soft serve but as for cake i can’t say i would get one again.

Google
Got the Milk Bar Pie and a truffle — both were excellent. The pie is sweet, buttery, and a little salty in the best way. The truffle was rich and super satisfying. Would definitely come back.

Google
I was here like three months ago but just thinking about this place and how good the ice cream was… I read about this in David Changs memoir so got a little lore in there. Best soft serve type ice cream I ever had. The sprinkles made me so happy cause u know I’m addicted to sprinkles! I sat on the seat outside to enjoy my treat and it was a nice experience. Will be back one day.

Yelp
Celebrations abound at milk bar! Excellent location for a birthday or just a quick treat. The decadent creations not only look good but taste good. Great service from our server however she was the only one on duty and this place is very popular so it got crowded very quickly Not a lot of space to sit so it is great for grab and go .

Yelp
I stopped by this little hole in the wall location and got the pumpkin coffee cake slice that I've been seeing all over instagram. Upon entry, I notice it was dimly lit, and really tight inside. There were 2 people ordering and then after I joined the line, two other people came inside and the store became packed. The girl at the counter was really friendly. The slice of cake itself was $11. It wasn't the biggest slice, but it was tasty. The pumpkin flavor really shined through and I get why it's really popular on social media. I probably wouldn't get it again until it comes back around next fall, but it definitely satisfied my craving.
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
I've been to Milk (Brooklyn) on a couple of occasions and decided to try the pumpkin pie bar. I highly anticipated trying this limited offering and upon trying it wasn't what I expected. I could taste the pumpkin and the spices but nothing warranting me to give another try. It wasn't anything special in my opinion. I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this specific dessert.
google avatar

Xiomara C.

Yelp
The cake was moist and arrived on time from my Uber delivery. It has a great taste and very sweet, however it's not what I expected. The Birthday Cake is not even nearly or remotely close to Birthday Cake flavor, in fact both cakes taste as if they're made with way too much cream cheese. I was definitely not expecting a cream cheese taste. Had I wanted cheesecakes I would've ordered somewhere else. The cakes are also very small for the price. It was great to try but it's a no for me. If you're looking for chocolate with buttercream or Birthday Cake flavored cake, this is NOT it. These cake slices definitely have a cream cheese type frosting as if you're eating a cheesecake. Not bad but not what I ordered or wanted.

Yelp
Had a sweet tooth and Milk never lets me down, food amazing and service is outstanding. Don't skimp get your self the Milk Bar Pie it's fabulous. Oh can we talk about that cereal Corn flake crunch with fudge sauce yes I said it and let's rate it 10 out of 10. Love the atmosphere and staff you will defined see me back.

Yelp
Great service by Carla and Astro! They were kind and helpful!!! Also the most delicious treats ever

Yelp
Best cookies ever!! The staff is also very lovely. I recommend trying the cereal milk soft served ice cream as well!
google avatar

Maggie B.

Yelp
I stopped in for a slice of their birthday cake and birthday truffles. The birthday cake is moist and fluffy, with a touch of lemon. The truffles are rich, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Pricey, but great for a special occasion! Employees were friendly and efficient.

Yelp
I was exploring in Williamsburg and came across this cute ice cream/cookie shop and had to check it out! It wasn't busy at all so I was attended by a nice gentleman who let me sample both the Cereal Milk & Toasted Marshmallow ice cream before deciding which one I wanted. I chose the Toasted Marshmallow ice cream with torched mini marshmallows. What a yummy combo! I also got the Cornflake white chocolate chip marshmallow cookie which was both interesting and delicious.

Yelp
Yummmmm! The milk bar truffles are honestly some of the best desserts in nyc. The birthday cake are the best, but the chocolate and seasonal flavors are also great.
google avatar

Darshak V.

Yelp
Not much really to review. Milk Bar is a well known place in NYC for dessert. They offer items ranging from single soft serve to milkshakes to full sized cakes. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but if you do, then this place is for you. I got the crunchy cereal milkshake. It tasted good, but it's definitely a lot for one person. If you're in NYC, it's something you should try, but I don't think I would actively seek it on the day to day. It's a good treat every once in a while. prices are on the higher side, but that's because you're paying for a name brand + NYC prices.

Yelp
Customer Service did reach out to make amends, and a new cake is on its way. My issue was never the quality of their products, as they are delicious, especially their gluten-free birthday cake. My problem was with the tone of their response. FedEx also contributed a huge bit to this experience because they did not follow directions. All they had to do was open a screen door like every other delivery service does. Thank you, Milk Bar, for taking the high road.

Yelp
I haven't been to a milk bar in ages. I'm glad that this place is opened so late. I was searching for a spot that doesn't close when the clock strikes 9 or 10pm. I really wanted the strawberry shortcake cake truffles, but it's seasonal so couldn't get it. The new seasonal truffle that will come out so they said to wait for that one. However, I did get the make your own or build your own pint. Really cool what goes in it! It was tasty! I don't think you can go wrong with what goes in your own ice cream pint. I will definitely go back and make it again.

Yelp
Cake was ordered in November for a set birthday in January. Cake arrived on time packed with reusable gel ice packs. It was wrapped and sealed nicely to preserve its shape. Cake tasted fresh and was a great surprise to have on a special occasion.
google avatar

Mahsa N.

Yelp
I got a slice of their birthday cake and it was honestly so mediocre. Don't know why this place is so hyped up... Their cake frosting was too sweet. The cake itself tasted old and stale, unlike what I was expecting it to be. Very basic and probably wouldn't buy it again.

Yelp
I have been avoiding writing bad reviews lately but had to make an exception for Milk Bar. For years, I've avoided going there because their stuff has waaaay too much sugar. So much sugar that my tongue is raw after eating a couple of cookies or a slice of their "crack pie" (I believe it's been renamed?). But first and foremost, they do not participate in the neighborhood Halloween tradition of handing out candy or even a cookie?? Milk Bar has made quite a name for themselves, despite my own personal disappointment with their goods, so why be such a nincompoop with kids on Halloween??? Boooooo!!! (Not the scary kind, no pun intended). Also, the thought of eating corn flakes flavored milk had always wanted to make me vomit bc it seems like I'm eating the leftovers someone else's cereal (saliva included). Ew. Hopefully Milk Bar decides to join the fun this Halloween. They seem to be geared towards marketing for kids so seems like a no-brainer. For now, I'll continue to refuse to purchase this brand on store shelves or at their storefront no matter how much my kids beg. I just ask them if they want a raw mouth and upset stomach.

Yelp
Really disappointed in customer service and quality. I'm from Florida so i was looking forward to this place. Had a pickup order set for 9:49 and showed up at 9:45. The ice cream and cake was just sitting on the table. I told them i had a pickup and the lady said "it's one of those bags right there." horrible then got in the car for a 10 minute drive and i get home to the ice cream being milk. liquid everywhere. never again

Yelp
3.5 stars. I've actually never had Milk Bar cakes before and have always wanted to try them. I got a slice of their classic birthday cake as well as a slice of the chocolate birthday cake. Honestly, I think it's overhyped. Both were too sweet and the cakes itself weren't very moist (although it wasn't necessarily dry either). The cakes were very crumbly and the frosting was definitely on the sweeter side, which I was already anticipating. The birthday cake slice had small pieces of crunchy crumbs that I actually thought was a bit too much. The chocolate cake had chocolate chips within the cake and had the same frosting. Definitely need to try yourself to judge the flavors and I'm glad I got to try it but be prepared for some sweet cakes. They also have cookies, ice cream and other popular items that I've tried and enjoyed in the past but definitely on the sweeter side.
google avatar

Joseph D.

Yelp
This place is called MILK, but in reality, it should be called SUGAR. I tried 3 different items and they were so sickeningly sweet that they had no other flavor besides sugar. The "Crack" Pie, or whatever they're calling it now, is simply disgusting. My friend tried the cereal milk ice cream and she said it was just ice cream. Overall, just awful.

Yelp
Stop and try out the Milk Bar - the Cereal Milk soft serve was phenomenal!! Rather it's hit or cold, this treat hits different and will send those taste buds in a frenzy.

Yelp
Milk Bar is a dessert lover's paradise that never fails to impress. Their Cereal Milk Soft Serve is a creamy indulgence that will transport you back to your childhood. The combination of the smooth soft serve and the delightful crunch from the cereal topping creates a symphony of textures and flavors. What sets it apart is the slight touch of saltiness, adding a unique twist that keeps you coming back for more. It's a truly one-of-a-kind treat that you won't find anywhere else. The cake truffles at Milk Bar are simply divine. Each bite-sized morsel is bursting with rich, decadent flavors that will make your taste buds dance with joy. They are the epitome of indulgence and offer a wide range of delightful flavors to choose from. However, the true star of Milk Bar's truffle collection is the truffle flavor itself. It's an absolute must-try for any truffle enthusiast. While the cookies at Milk Bar didn't quite hit the mark for me, they are by no means a deal-breaker. They tend to be on the sweeter side, lacking the perfect balance that I personally prefer. But fear not, because Milk Bar has so much more to offer. Their bday cake is a sight to behold, adorned with vibrant sprinkles that scream celebration. The best part is discovering the cake truffles embedded within the cake itself. It's a delightful surprise that adds an extra layer of flavor and excitement. In addition to their mouthwatering treats, Milk Bar provides a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to assist you in selecting the perfect dessert to satisfy your cravings. Whether you're seeking a unique soft serve experience, heavenly cake truffles, or a visually stunning birthday cake, Milk Bar is the place to be. In conclusion, Milk Bar is a dessert destination that exceeds expectations. From the delightful Cereal Milk Soft Serve to the heavenly cake truffles, each bite is a taste of pure bliss. While the cookies may not be a standout, the overall experience at Milk Bar is truly memorable. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in their exceptional flavors and enjoy the warm ambiance. Milk Bar is a sweet delight that will leave you wanting more!

Yelp
I don't know what happened to this place, but it is not even remotely the same place I saw on food network. It was sketch from the get go, so I got a cereal milk latte and pre-packaged cookie. I don't trust them to make me anything in the store. Three of us tried the coffee and spit it out. The cookie was good. Do something Christina.
google avatar

Meg L.

Yelp
Glad to be able to get a warm baked cookie even during covid. The restaurant/seating area isn't open but you can order through the window. Within a few minutes you can have a warm treat handed to you through the glass. They sell a lot of their merchandise here too. The blueberry and white chocolate cookie wasn't my favorite. They're definitely known better for their confetti or compost cookie- and it's so much better than the box they sell at target!
google avatar

Brianna B.

Yelp
I ordered the pie slice and it was pretty tasty - like butter and brown sugar flavor with a gooey texture. I was excited to try Milk Bar for the first time but the experience was a little odd. The woman working was on a phone call and I felt I was interrupting her conversation. The price is pretty high for the small size/experience but it's a popular name so that factors in a bit.
google avatar

Jenny A.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to a slice of birthday cake on my birthday trip to NYC. The flavor was great, but the pre-packaged slice was sadly a bit on the dry side.
google avatar

Cathy D.

Yelp
I had a piece of strawberry shortcake and three cookies delivered via Caviar during these pandemic times and the cake really hit the spot. The cookies not so much. I also had birthday cake delivered to a friend during the pandemic and it made her day. I ordered "for a later time" and I think it confused the system as Caviar first brought her the wrong delivery but replaced it shortly after. I also used the Milk Bar website to order a tin of cookies for a friend who lost her parent and it brightened her day. And I also used the same website to order my sister out of state a Milk Bar sampler gift box for Mother's Day and she loved it. I didn't realize it was a mixture of perishable and non-perishable items, so she needed to be there for its arrival. It's all about the cake, pie and soft serve in my opinion. Would recommend in that order.
google avatar

Urooj F.

Yelp
They don't pile up as much soft serve as the DC location but otherwise delicious as usual!
google avatar

Chelsea T.

Yelp
Completely under whelming. My son is at school and wanted to send him a treat. Ordered online. I put in 10:30am delivery time but when order was complete I saw it was changed to 1:30pm. I called right away to have it adjusted. The young women could not have been more rude. "We don't change online orders". Okay. Son said the pie was delicious. Cookie and truffles were average. For $15 it's not much and not really worth it.
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
Came here on a day they were doing a deal to get $1 soft serve and for that price I think the ice cream was alright, but I don't think I would ever pay full price for it. The cereal milk flavor is definitely underwhelming compared to the amount of hype it has. Also my ice cream was already melting quickly the moment I was handed it.
google avatar

Sepehr Y.

Yelp
I bought into the hype of milk bar and decided to splurge this year to celebrate a friend's birthday. However, after getting this dropped off by my doordash driver (delivery & packaging was great), I realized that I've been making the correct decision of not splurging all these years. The actual sponge is great, but the frosting of the cake is absurdly heavy and sweet. Was it too hyped up to me? Maybe. Am I just not the right client base for this? Probably. But I figured if it's $55, it has to be a good cake. Albeit, I was mistaken. Would pay $15 for this on a good day.
google avatar

Mitzi W.

Yelp
Behind Milk Bar is the classroom where one can assemble a Milk Bar Birthday cake! Make a Reservation online (https://milkbarstore.com/collections/classes) and you will have two hours of fun decorating your birthday cake and truffles. Highly recommend if you are a fan of Milk Bar desserts.
google avatar

fina a.

Yelp
The cookies have gone down hill since changing to pre packaged. They used to be that perfect firm, chewy cookie and now they are dry and crumbly and the taste is slightly off. The milk bar pie (crack pie) is still good tho! I hope they can reformulate the recipe for the cookies to make them enjoyable again! But they probably won't because they are like corporate now or something, right?
google avatar

Ian _.

Yelp
We got the Cereal Milk Soft Serve, it was good. Nothing really crazy to go after. would recommend trying
google avatar

Marquis B.

Yelp
Unfortunately, my most recent Milk Bar Williamsburg experience wasn't as good as my past visits. The birthday cake slice, which I was excited for, didn't taste fresh. The cake was not not moist and the icing was a bit harder than I remember, which was disappointing. Maybe I came on an off day and got an older cake? For $11 a slice, however, I was expecting more. Staff was friendly.
google avatar

Kioki H.

Yelp
My niece wanted a treat & we were definitely not disappointed!!!! She ordered the Cereal Milk Ice Cream with sprinkles and she LOVED IT!!!! The server was so smiley and sweet. We always visit in the summer and we always have a WONDERFUL experience!!!
google avatar

Sherise K.

Yelp
Came here after a disaster of a dinner date with my partner. They have peanut butter ice cream now! Although I love the cereal milk. The service is good, the shop is on the small side and seating is rather limited.
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
Stopped here to get some dessert after having dinner nearby. I always see stuff about this place so figured it would be good. The lady at the counter was very friendly. I ordered everything to go. I got a blueberry and cream cookie, birthday cake truffles and a slice of the birthday cake. I got the cookie for my daughter. I tried it and didn't think it was anything special but she enjoyed it. The birthday cake truffles were also nothing special. The slice of birthday cake was actually pretty good, but still far from the best I ever had. Overall, I found everything to be pretty average. The prices are not as bad as I would expect, I paid around $20 for all that. But I think I would try somewhere different next time I go to New York.
google avatar

Leila N.

Yelp
I was enjoying a night in and decided to order some sweet treats. I bought the sample pack where you get a slice of pie, three of the truffle balls, the cereal milk ice cream and a cookie. I paid $25 not including tip, tax or delivery. The slice of pie was really flat and thin, and the truffle balls were tiny. The cookie and ice cream were a good size. Unfortunately I didn't like any of it. As other reviewers have noted it was all really sweet and the texture of everything was very dense, sticky and wet. Like dessert cement. The Compost cookie was okay but not any better or worse than a cookie you could get at a supermarket. I had never heard of Milk Bar before, it just popped up in my TryCaviar recommendations, but I was so disappointed that I found them on Yelp to leave this review.
google avatar

Courtney S.

Yelp
Anytime you need to buy someone a cake I definitely recommend the birthday cake. I've got it for people who don't even eat sweets and they have thoroughly enjoyed it. Milkshake wise I recommend the one that has corn flakes in it.
google avatar

Shiao June Y.

Yelp
I'm also in the same boat of having wanted to try their birthday cake and was... disappointed. I do think they have the art of a standard cake down, nothing too moist nor dry. It was just a birthday cake slice and nothing more. You're probably better off buying the birthday cake mix from Betty Crocker or just boxed brands and making it yourself. The frosting was interesting, it was buttermilk like but it wasn't anything so special that it sold the cake. Additionally the cakes crunchy elements were interesting but once again, not a seller. Would not recommend, though if you're a curious soul, try it because you probably just need to get it out of your system.
google avatar

Marci A.

Yelp
Absolutely changed my mind about milk bar after coming here. The girl working in the back? Nicest, sweetest and coolest girl ever! The cookies? Absolutely delicious and the apple cider donuts? To die for. For the cookies we loved the confetti one and the blueberry one.
google avatar

Jesse K.

Yelp
Small location but same great tasting treats. Right on Metropolitan between other shops so it's easy to miss. I got a birthday cake here and it was incredible. Their birthday cake truffles made me tear up which sounds like an exaggeration but I'm not joking I love them so much
google avatar

jackie a.

Yelp
Loved the milk swirl with sprinkles and the two girls that were there we're extremely helpful, patient and such a joy. Must come for the ice cream!
google avatar

Glenn C.

Yelp
Huge disappointment. First of all at 3 PM on a Wednesday, THEY WERE OUT OF SAMMIES! How hard is it to make an ice cream sandwich. The $13 sundae was ridiculously priced for something that started melting even before we sat down to eat it. The soft serve ice cream (full disclosure, I am not a fan of) had a strange aftertaste. The sprinkles added nothing and the cookie was just so-so. Seemed like lots of hype for a disappointing product!
google avatar

Hannah J.

Yelp
Loved stopping by Milk Bar for this little guy on my Citibike ride to Whole Foods. While that last sentence definitely paints me as your average basic Brooklyn girl sometimes you need to embrace it because cereal milk ice cream is pretty damn good. I will say this place was so hyped up to me by many people that I was a little bit disappointed but it's still delicious and I cannot wait to try their other desserts!

Paige S.

Yelp
The cereal milk and toasted marshmallow soft serve had a salty/buttery taste to me and my mom. Reminded me of the ice cream in a bag that we used to make in school for a science experiment. It always came out salty lol. I really thought maybe we got a bad batch since it was late so I went back into the shop with the ice cream to let them know. It was clear the staff just wanted me to go away. I was told that's just how it taste to some people. I guess my taste buds are not calibrated for their ice cream.
google avatar

Shama F.

Yelp
I took the class with a friend after seeing the Netflix show. While it was a fun thing to do on a Saturday I don't think I would recommend it to anyone for that price (a little steep). It was just putting together an already baked layers of a cake, I thought I would learn a little bit more. I loved watching her on the documentary series and I don't feel like the class was worth it and I would rather have spent my day at one of the milk bar shops and bought cakes and pies ect. This is not a baking/design class. The atmosphere and instructors were great and full of energy and wonderful and is the reason why it gets 4 stars because of their hard work and the amount of attention they provided to each group!
google avatar

Anna Grace N.

Yelp
I decided to scope the place out because I'm thinking about ordering my birthday dessert from Milk Bar. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because they didn't have any of the cakes, truffles, and pies on display for me to see. Be warned that this location is currently set up as a order at the door for takeout only. There is some seating and be sure to ask for forks and napkins. I completely understand that times are different and this is the best way to keep the customers and workers safe! I ordered the crack pie and I was blown away. I haven't been able to stop thinking about this pie for over 24 hours. It tastes like toffee, sugar, and butter. It's very dense and rich so you only need a little to enjoy it. I'm definitely thinking this would be an amazing birthday treat. Highly recommend Milk Bar and I'm looking forward to the flagship location reopening!

Yelp
Okay, so i'm a David Chang fan as he's a chef extraordinaire who actually understands the every day man/woman, and what their palate requires. That being said, this Milk Bar offshoot by his protégé Christina Tosi, just ain't do it for me. First the good: - Cute menu with various interesting items - Friendly staff with a hipster vibe. A young staff lady in the prep area was attempting to do the Shiggy with minimal success to the Drake "In My Feelings" song that was playing. She tried it. - Nicely placed cookbooks by Chef Chang and a few other notable folks The not so great: - Milk Bar is TI-NY! So tiny. i get that a lot of folks go there just to get their items and go, but it was HOT last Saturday, okay?! My friend and i needed some respite from the sizzling outdoors, and basically had to sit adjacent to another pair of friends on this weird L-shaped bench. Bruhhhh...the struggle. Thankfully none of the 4 of us were bigger ladies cuz otherwise we'da fallen out the front window! Ain't nobody got time to be squished together on a hot azz day! - Even though it was my bday, i forewent the Birthday Cake treats in favor of the much lauded "Crack Pie". Chile please! Ain't no crack or anything else addictive in there. Just heaps of sugar and a decent crust. Underwhelmed. That joint is still sitting in my fridge 2 days later cuz i only took a bite, my friend took a bite, and cuz we ain't tryna get diabetes, i'll maybe have another bite in a few days. Just too sweet and lacking in other flavors. Also, of her 3 Bday Cake truffles, my friend only ate 1. She too wasn't impressed. Overall: i don't really recommend Milk Bar when there are so many great dessert places in our fair borough. If i'm in the neighborhood, i'll stop in again to try their shakes, but i'm NOT going out of my way.
