"Millie’s is a casual Cuban spot in Bushwick from the same people behind a grilled-cheese place called The Wheelhouse, which is a block or so down on Wilson Avenue. The space is a nice little room with old photographs of Havana street scenes, plus ceiling fans spinning at a pace that provides minimal air flow and maximum vintage value. The menu here has classic Latin dishes like Cubanos, tres leches cake, and some really good ropa vieja - and you can also pick a protein and put it on a salad, sandwich, or platter with black beans, sweet plantains, and rice. Come here for a casual weeknight meal with a friend, or stop by to pick something up before heading straight to the couch in your apartment." - Hannah Albertine

Adorable cafe with hearty Cuban lunch. A good spot for a casual brunch, quick lunch or coffee date. I love the decor and all old photos too! I ordered three side dishes- rice, beans and maduros sweet plantains! It was a tasty meal but the beans were WAY too salty and the rice was hard and undercooked. I’d nonetheless comeback to try more food!

We heard great things about this place so we had to check it out. The design was super cute and very homey! The costumer service was welcoming but the food came out very slow. The communication and organization behind the counter was nonexistent. They messed up our order twice and it took about an hour to get everything on our table. The coffee and the food flavor was phenomenal. I know this place has great potential with the help of great leaders and a good organized system between front and back of house. We came for breakfast and it was hectic so I look forward to coming during dinner time. Hopefully, our experience resembles the amazing Cuban flavor of their food.

The food is AMAZING! The vibe is tropical. Instead of a selfie wall there is a wall that tells the story of the owner's family from their time in Cuba via pictures. You're greeted well and treated like family. Oh....and the mimosas are made with FRESH SQUEEZED OJ. Need I say more? Millie's gets 10 stars from me.

The spot is cute and quaint. The vibe is very nice. Well kept and well decorated. It is a hot summer day and this place is cool and refreshing. There is one person working the counter and he is very friendly. Short and simple menu with good prices. Free wifi. Homely little place. The portions are big! Especially the breakfast bowl.

I've always said that Cuban food would be my last meal on Earth. Give me black beans, rice and platano maduro and I'll be very happy!! Millie's Cuban Cafe is my new favorite neighborhood place for these things. It's lovely, quaint, cute and Sammy at the front is the perfect hostess! The food was very tasty and fresh. I ordered sides of black beans, rice, platano maduro and a side of spicy chimichuri sauce. Mix it up and wow!! If like me you cannot start your day without coffee, you have two choices. Traditional Cafe Bustelo or local roastery, Superlost. They even had oat milk for my latte! Warm weather is here and you can bring your own alcohol to mix with their juice concoctions. Pretty sure I'll be spending a lot of time at Millie's!!

Service was fast and friendly . Cuban sandwich was fresh with a nice crunch on the bread , tender lechon , delicious. Watermelon and mint juice was fresh and a perfect compliment.

My friend got a vegetarian bowl and the palm salsa, and I got a Cuban sandwich and an iced cafe con leche; it was all absolutely delicious. The guy working the counter was so sweet and personable. I'll definitely be back soon. Edit: Went back again today and had the mono chicken bowl. It was amazing!

I can’t believe it took me so many times passing this place to finally get around to trying it today. I had the mojo chicken bowl with mojito limeade and boy was I satisfied. I imagined in my head that it was gonna be a greasy and heavy meal...but I was completely wrong I left so satisfied! Highly recommend
