The Best Soups, Stews, and Porridges in San Francisco | Eater SF

"Settle into the new Marina restaurant, and order this classic Greek chicken and rice dish — the velvety egg-infused texture and light lemony flavor taste like home, even if you’ve never been to Greece. The portions are filling and hearty, but not too big — leaving enough room for the excellent skewers and mezze." - Flora Tsapovsky

Milos Meze - Review - Marina - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The Marina doesn’t have many Mediterranean spots, but with Milos Meze, the neighborhood has a fantastic option for dipping endless amounts of pita into creamy tzatziki and red pepper htipiti. Despite the somewhat stiff dining room with uncomfy emerald velvet chairs that are pushed too close together and faux-Mediterranean murals that look AI-generated, the food is what makes dining here a great experience. The menu is long, but the restaurant excels at the basics: oregano lamb chops are juicy, bubbling saganaki is so good you’ll happily risk burning your mouth for another bite, and the tender souvlaki is the best in the city. Stick to these classics and you'll barely notice having to perform airplane-seat acrobatics every time you squeeze past those green chairs on the way to the restroom. photo credit: Ricky Rodriguez" - Ricky Rodriguez

We tried this restaurant on Sunday for dinner and we loved it! The Greek food and wine were delicious! The restaurant is beautiful and the music great! The waiters seemed to be in a hurry because they kept taking our plates, even when we hadn’t finished eating! 🤣 oh and it’s pricy but the dishes are large… will definitely come back again!

We just popped in here without a reservation and seated immediately. Service is top notch even asking if we had any food allergies. Food is exceptional. Great flavors present with the beef and lamb dish. Octopus 🐙 very tasty and not over grilled. Red hummus a bit spicy but delicious. Give this place a try. I don’t feel you’ll be disappointed.

Had an amazing evening yesterday at Milos Meze with my brothers and a friend! 🥂✨ The appetizers and food were absolutely delicious, and we wrapped it up perfectly with their homemade baklava and other mouthwatering desserts. 🍽️🍯 The cozy tavern vibe and Mediterranean-inspired ambiance made everything even more special. Big thanks to Chef Ali and his wonderful team for the warm hospitality — you truly deserve every award you’ve earned! 👏👏 Can’t wait to come back! 💙

The food was excellent, every dish was full of flavor and the lamb chops were top notch. It is far too loud for me though, that alone is enough to make me cross it off my list. I had to lean in to listen to my husband on the other side of the table...I mean LOUD. So for that alone it's not my bag. The grilled Spanish octopus dish was a bit disappointing as well, size-wise. One small tentacle for the price. Other than that, great service, delicious food and beautiful interior.

Google
A great Mediterranean and Greek spot with a cozy, stylish setting. The small plates offered a nice variety, each with its own bold flavors. The chicken souvlaki skewers stood out—tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The staff was warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. With its inviting interior and flavorful dishes, it’s an easy place to enjoy a relaxed, satisfying meal.

Google
There is the cutest new Greek restaurant in the Marina. It has all the vibes. Excellent food. Excellent staff. I took my brother who was visiting from out of town, to celebrate Greek Easter. It was laid back in a beautiful atmosphere, we got a bunch of plates, wine and spilt the braised lamb. Excellent. It’s a great place to pop over for a solo date have a glass of wine, a Greek salad or to meet the girls and share apps, most definitely a great weekly date night hands down.

I had the pleasure of visiting Milos Meze today, and I can confidently say it’s the best Greek food in San Francisco. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warmth and hospitality that’s hard to find anywhere else. The customer service is simply outstanding. The owner, Mr. Ali, personally comes by each table to make sure guests are having a great time , a small but meaningful gesture that makes the experience feel personal and special. He’s incredibly respectful, attentive, and truly cares about his customers. Now, the food… absolutely phenomenal! Every dish is bursting with authentic Greek flavors, prepared with fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. Whether it’s your first time trying Greek cuisine or you’re a long-time fan, you’ll be blown away. This is also the perfect spot to bring your date. Not only will you impress her with incredible food, but the warm, welcoming atmosphere will make for an unforgettable evening. If you’re in San Francisco and want an amazing meal with top-notch service, Milos Meze is the place. Can’t wait to go back!

I don’t even know where to start, but here goes so I walked in and couldn’t decide what to order so I ordered everything and I have no regrets. Every dish that came out was better than the next so much flavor, fresh and perfection. easily my new fav.

Yelp
What an absolutely delightful place. So glad I was able to stop by and enjoy their food. The ambience is cute and inviting. I'm not sure if it was the time of day or just my good luck, but I made reservations for dining but didn't need them as the place was filled, but not crowded. What I Ordered: - Spanakopita: Traditional filo pies of spinach, feta, leeks, and dill. $12 This was very tasty. Had a perfect flakiness to them with delicious inside. Highly recommended. - Zucchini Fritters: Zucchini with feta cheese fresh dill and eggs ,flour mint serve with tzatziki $15 It wasn't over fried or too filling. Nice balance of ingredients. I really wanted the Arnisia Plevrakia (slowly-cooked lamb riblets, lemon, oregano, and tzatziki), but they said they were out of this meal at the moment. So instead, I had the house recommended most popular lamb, - Arnisia Paidakia: Grilled lamb chops with lemon-oregano vinaigrette and Kokkari potatoes. $42 Now this was delicious! My only critique is that I wanted more. I felt it was cooked to perfection (as Chef recommended). I enjoyed the natural juices and flavoring of the meat, however, my friend did state they wish it had a tad more seasoning to it. I however, thought it was authentic to the region. And because I was hungry when I ordered. Also had... - Greek Fries: French fries, with mild spicy garlic yogurt fondue. $9 This was the one dish I would have sent back. The fries were fried super hard and technically inedible. I appreciated the light topping of feta cheese as the rest of the dishes were so heavy with feta and yogurt sauces. Wine: Semeli Mountain Sun 2021, Greece $16 I ask if they had a house wine, to wish they replied they did not. I was recommended to try a sampling of this wine. It had an aromatic fruity scent. However, felt it was a bit dry for my liking. There was a touch of spice, noble tannins, and a long aftertaste.

Yelp
Made reservations for a weekend evening last minute; the restaurant was quite busy & there was only outdoor seating left once we sat down. Their menu was compact; the food menu was a page and the drink menu was another page. My friend and I shared their Spanakopita, Arnisio Souvlaki, and Horiatiki salad. Our main entree Arnisio Souvlaki was brought out a lot later after our mezethe and salate dish, which was a bit odd but kept me hungry for more. The Spanakopita was dense and flavorful, with a classical combination of spinach, feta, and leeks. The Horiatiki salad was good but nothing special. As for our main entree, although I very much enjoyed the quality of the lamb skewers, there were only two skewers with minimal meat compared to what I was expecting for the price. The dishes show quality and I'd love to try one of their desserts in the future too, such as their Baklavaki!

Yelp
I have walked by this place a million times and finally decided to check it out and I am so glad I did!! The staff was incredible knowledgeable about allergens on the menu and very accommodating. The owner stopped by to check on us, too! Will be back!

Yelp
This place is my home away from home. The service, the food, the ambiance. Is all just perfect!! I love coming with a group and ordering like 10 appetizers to share. Our favorites are the spanakopita (not pictured because we ate too fast), keftedes (also consumed before photo), and the tzatziki!! Can't go wrong here. They keep me coming back for more!

Yelp
This is a No bs review Came here on a day trip to sf after walking around and building up an appetite. Ive been wanting to come here after seeing a post. Not more to say then this place is worth your money. The service was great we were attended consistently as it barley opened we went in at around 4:10. Ambience was nice not loud at all but again went in when service started. Now the food, menu is isn't overwhelming with a thousand options which usually helps with consistency. So basically we ordered the whole menu lol But the ribeye was great. Spanakopita also, loved the bread putting as my dessert .

Yelp
We had an excellent dinner here last night. It was very busy for a Sunday evening & although we didn't make reservations, we were seated pretty quickly. The murals of Santorini & other Greek islands added to the restaurant's charm. Complementary pita & cheese spread is brought to the table. We started with dolmas (grape leaves stuffed with rice) which was delicious & tender & grilled oktopadi (octopus), which was also tender & flavorful with a nice char on it. I had the moussaka (Greek version of lasagna) as my entree which was delicious & saved half for dinner tonight. My dining partner had the lamb meatballs, side order of veggies & roasted potatoes for dinner. I try to save room in my stomach for dessert, but I wanted to have something small so I tried their house made pistachio gelato, which was perfection. It's not too sweet & had pistachios in it. Service is warm, friendly & helpful. The chef comes around to ask how you enjoyed your meal, which was a nice touch.

Yelp
The staff was so friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. It was my fiancé birthday and they even surprised us with a tasty treat. Portion sizes were hearty and the food was all delicious. We will be back!

Yelp
I came here on a Thursday for dinner and it was very busy! The service was a slow as a result but my group didn't mind as we had plenty to catch up on. I tried a few white wines (they allow you to have a small taste before you decide on a glass which was a huge plus). I had the Tsipura (Sea Bream) for dinner. I should have ordered a side of potatoes or something as this didn't come with any sides, but it was delicious. I'll come back again.

Yelp
Craving Greek food, we decided to try Milos Meze. It was a sunny, early evening and all the tables outside were already taken, so we sat inside. The Mediterranean vibes and decor transported us to Greece! Nice ambiance. OUR PICKS ~ MELITZANOSALADA ~ roasted eggplant, garlic, red bell peppers, parsley, lemon juice, olive oil. It was seasoned just right and great with the pita bread. 4/5 SOUVLAKI ~ marinated chicken or beef skewers with peppers and onions served with roasted baked potatoes and tzatziki. My bf decided to have the marinated beef. If you're hungry, this dish might not be enough for you. He asked for medium rare and got medium well. The meat was somewhat tender though it would have been better if it was medium rare. 3/5 ARNISIO SOUVLAKI ~ lamb tenderloin skewered with peppers and onions served with roasted baked potatoes and tzatziki. The same with my meat. I also asked for medium rare and it was close to well done. Still, the meat was tender enough but it would have been juicier if it was done correctly. I think this dish should have had vegetables and rice instead. It just didn't seem complete. Barely any peppers and onions. 3/5 It was our first time dining here. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. Nothing stood out so I doubt we'll be back.

Yelp
Fantastic meal at Milos Mezze. Each dish was flavorful and delicious! We ordered the acuka (red pepper & walnut dip), zucchini fritters, feta pstiti, chicken souvlaki. The zucchini fritters were a standout! Chicken souvlaki was soft, cooked to perfection. They also offered us a small complimentary dish of the spicy hitipiti which was amazing - I'll def order that next time! Unfortunately didn't try the seafood this time around, but seems that's a must here. Ambiance is nice, I love all the evil eyes hanging from the sign outside and the moody ambiance inside. Def worth a visit!

Yelp
Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at Milos Meze last night, and wow! This new Marina Greek spot (6 months young) is incredible. The place is clean, tastefully decorated, and the food is out of this world. We devoured spicy hitipiti, ackuta, and eggplant spanakopita with endless pita, dips, and free house bread (yes!!!). My chicken souvlaki was amazing, and his sea bass equally impressive. Portions are generous, prices are fair. But it wasn't just the food; the service was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. We ended with a 10/10 baklava, ice cream, and strawberries. We're definitely returning and my only regret is not taking photos. We were THAT excited to devour. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Yelp
Probably my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in SF. Fantastic food with great pricing (yes I like them more than Kokkari Estiatorio which I think is overpriced). One of the few repeat restaurants on my list. They do seafood sooo well. The octopus is super tender and fresh, and so is the fish. I don't eat lamb but my BF always gets their lamb chops and they're full of flavor, tender, and super juicy. The baklava paired with ice cream and strawberries is just chefs kiss. The baklava is super flakey, topped with cloves and cinnamon and the ice cream is i think Kaimaki? I might be wrong here but it's a traditional greek/Mediterranean ice cream, very mild in sweetness but it pairs very nicely with the pastry and so so so creamy and rich. One of the best baklavas I've had.

Yelp
I returned to Milos Meze and had an incredible experience--from the service to the food, everything was top-notch. This time, we explored a variety of appetizers, tried two new main courses, and indulged in dessert. Ali, the owner, personally apologized for the subpar service on my last visit and reassured me that it was an isolated incident. He truly made it right. The service this time was exceptional--our server guided us with thoughtful recommendations, checked in frequently, and we noticed that every table around us received the same attentive care so I knew that it wasn't just because they were trying to win us over. It's clear that this new restaurant takes feedback seriously, iterates on it, and is committed to delivering a great experience to each customer. For the price, the dips, lamb, fish, and everything else were cooked to perfection. I wouldn't go to any other Greek restaurant. The hospitality, service, and quality of food at Milos Meze are unmatched, and I saw plenty of happy return customers around us. If you haven't been yet, it's absolutely worth a visit! My recs... they also give you warm pita for the dips. Appetizers: - Spicy Hitipiti - if you like spicy dips - Acuka - for non-spicy dip - Zucchini Fritters - also our server's fave - Keftedes - to start off with some meat Mains: - Either the Lavraki (Sea Bass) or Tsipura (Sea Bream) - I ordered the sea bass last time and sea bream this time and both were impressive. The chef told us that they're freshly flown in from Greece every three days. The fish is perfectly cooked--moist, flavorful, and light enough to enjoy every bite. - Arnisia Paidakia (Lamb Chops) - Fall-off-the-bone tender, packed with flavor. The orzo pasta underneath is rich and complements the lamb beautifully. This dish is a must-order. Desserts: - Baklava - best baklava I've had. - Strawberry & Ice Cream Dessert - forgot what this was actually called but it was super refreshing

Yelp
Milos Meze totally exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, we felt genuinely cared for the entire time. And the food? Amazing. You have to try the chicken souvlaki. It was easily the best we've ever had - juicy, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. Highly recommend

Yelp
Thank you Milos Meze for delicious food and for going out of your way to host a party of 15 on a busy Saturday. I was very impressed at Milos. The restaurant is adorable with the traditional Greek white and blue Colors. The staff is amazing and kind. They went out of their way to help us. We had a huge party of 15 on a busy Saturday. The food is delicious and it all was served very promptly, which is impressive with a huge party. Plus they were so busy! Can't say enough about the yummy deserts and especially the baklava. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is delicious, the staff cares and it is a great environment! Thank you for making our party of 15 feel welcome and cared for!!!!

Yelp
Absolutely Incredible Experience at Milos Meze! I recently dined at Milos Meze, and let me just say--this was hands down some of the BEST, most flavorful food and service I've experienced in a long time. If you're thinking about going, do it. You will not be disappointed! Our server, Mukhlisa, was amazing--super attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. You could tell she genuinely cared about our experience. The entire staff was on point. They were quick to clear any dirty dishes, replacing them with fresh silverware and plates without us even asking. They also boxed up our leftovers promptly. As someone who used to work in the service industry, I really appreciate those details--and Milos Meze nails it. Now, the food. Magnificent. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and well-balanced. I had the charred octopus--cooked to perfection. My friend ordered the steak, and it was perfecto--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We also shared the salmon, and wow... just so good. The tzatziki cream was phenomenal--tangy, smooth, and the perfect complement to everything. I legit didn't want to put my spoon down. The owner/chef, Ali, was walking around the restaurant making sure every guest was happy and taken care of. It felt like we were being treated like family. After our meal, he stopped by our table and even showed us videos on his phone of how he sources and marinates his meats. You could tell he's passionate about what he does. To top it all off, he surprised us with an unforgettable dessert--the best baklava I've ever had. It came with fresh strawberries glazed in honey, a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, and that warm, thick, crispy baklava with fresh walnuts. Absolute heaven. I took photos of everything (because how could I not?). The place is warm, welcoming, and spotless. They've only been open for six months, but Milos Meze is already a gem in the heart of San Francisco. Make a reservation--they get busy for a reason. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We arrived here at just opening at 4:00 PM on a Wednesday and were seated right away. The ambience is wonderful and the seating arrangements are comfortable. It was a quiet place but as the afternoon got longer and more crowds came in I can see that it could be pretty noisy. I cannot say enough about the attentive and excellent service that we received including the owner (I think) who came to check on us many times. We started off with a Spanakopita which are filo pies with spinach, feta, leeks, and dill ($12) and some grilled lamb meatballs with tomato and Greek yogurt ($18), and some complimentary pita bread with some sort of yogurt sauce. For our main courses vegetarian moussaka ($27), lamb skewers with roasted potatoes ($32), and a whole sea bass ($37). Our waitress asked if we wanted it filleted or whole and we decided whole, though it is rather awkward eating eat. A small side of Taverna pilaf was also ordered ($9). The whole meal was absolutely wonderful and much more than our party of 3 could finish. I ordered an ice tea which was not on the menu and they probably had to special make which I appreciate, however it was very weak tasting. We decided to be a glutton and order the gelato which consisted of 3 scoops of very smooth dessert ($9). We stayed for almost 2 hours and enjoyed our experience and plan to return. I seldom give 5 stars for a restaurant review, however Milos Meze certainly deserves it.

Yelp
We tried Milo's Meze for the first time and were pleasantly surprised! Staff was so nice and welcoming and the interior was cozy and chic. Our reservation was for early dinner at 4:30pm, so we decided to stick with appetizers for the table. We got the tzatziki, roasted eggplant, dolma, giant beans, spanakopita, sauteed prawns, lamb ribs, and keftedes for our table of 5. Everything was delicious with the baskets of warm pita, our standout favorites were the sauteed prawns and lamb ribs. They also gave us a free tasting of the acuka, which might now be my favorite dip to go with pita. Definitely a good Greek option for date night or casual catch-up dinner, I can't wait to come back to try more of their menu!

Yelp
Our favorite restaurant of 2024 promises many fine meals in 2025 with excellent foods and friendly service. Three of us shared wonderful appetizers with two delightful desserts + satisfying Avgolemono soup.

Yelp
The entrance is enticing. As you enter, it feels like you are in Greece. You sit down and the service begins. The menu is awesome. We ordered several appetizers and main dishes. All were excellent. The staff is friendly, engaging and efficient. Prices are reasonable. A parking lot is just a block away.

Yelp
I want to apologize for my earlier review--this update is long overdue. Over time, this has become one of our favorite local spots, and I'm so glad we kept coming back. We've brought both friends and family here, and it always delivers. There's something warm and welcoming about the atmosphere--it feels like a true neighborhood Greek restaurant. Every visit, we're greeted with kindness and genuine hospitality. Our go-to favorites are the sizzling cheese, lentil soup, and the tzatziki. I really hope it sticks around for a long time. There are about a dozen places to choose from on Steiner and Milos stands out as a favorite of ours.

Andres N.

Yelp
Had a Sunday night dinner here as walk ins. We started with some delicious Greek wine and spicy dips along with dolmades and zucchini fritters. The zucchini fritters were the standout favorite. We also ordered the lamb small plate and a side of the taverna pilaf. Everything was absolutely delicious and crafted with care and fresh ingredients. The tzatziki is so delicate and delightful and pairs well with everything we ordered. The complimentary pita is of course a must. We tried the baklavaki dessert which came with a delicious ice cream, strawberries and nuts. The interior is very nice and offers a relaxed yet elevated environment with hand painted Greek scenes on some of the walls and dark wood paneling. Our service was great and friendly from beginning to end. Will definitely be returning and making this a regular spot. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Big Pass on MILOS -- A Disappointment from Start to Finish San Francisco is home to what might be the greatest Greek restaurant in the United States: Kokkari. It has fantastic seafood flown in daily from Greece and cooked to perfection over a wood grill. There simply isn't better branzino to be found anywhere. Everything on the menu is exceptional--except, oddly enough, the baklava. It's become a sort of inside joke. Like a dog licking its own balls, Kokkari seems to make bad baklava just to prove it can, since everything else is so incredible. Who knows? But then there's MILOS--which is soooo disappointing. Everything was mediocre. As I was leaving and someone asked, "How was it?" I said, "Well, you know... it wasn't very good." From start to finish, it was a letdown. The spinach pies were dry, clearly burnt, and oddly hard to cut--so much so that we were handed steak knives without a trace of irony... and they still didn't get the job done. The feta cheese tasted off, like some Costco reject. The spreads? Mediocre. Worse than what you'd find pre-packaged at a corner grocery store. Even the moussaka, a Greek staple, was bland and flavorless--none of the rich lamb flavor you'd expect. The vegetables were the highlight of the meal, which is never a good sign at a Greek restaurant. I asked the server the difference between branzino and Dorad and his answer--"Dorad is oiler"--was the most bafflingly reductive way to compare two great fish. The Dorad portion was generous--a rare bright spot. If only it had been well cooked or seasoned. The octopus? A total disaster. Tough, flavorless, and served with no real sauce to speak of. I genuinely felt bad for our server, who was warm and tried to be helpful. He even confided in me that he thought he might have carpal tunnel syndrome. I half-hoped he'd be able to go on workers comp and save himself from having to sell such bad food. When I told the hostess on the way out how horrible the meal was, she didn't ask why, didn't apologize, and didn't ask for feedback. Just inexcusable.

Yelp
What a cute restaurant. We love Kokkari and this is very comparable but cheaper and a bit more casual. We loved everything we ordered and had a lot of appetizers - zucchini fritter - jumbo prawn - baked giant beans - lamb riblets - meatballs - octopus - both soups - chicken skewers Waiting on our dessert. Just got tea and pleasantly surprised that they served all of us cups for one order. Kokkari is stil nicer and has better desserts but overall solid 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 to support this new business. Plus service is definitely 5 stars and so attentive. Will be back.

Yelp
Incredible dinner! We walked in on a Friday night and got seated quickly. The inside is a great vibe for a fun dinner. The chef/owner chatted with us during dinner and told us where he sources all his local ingredients. The entire staff is so sweet! Our favorite dishes are - Lamb chops - Chicken souvlaki - Baklava A bit of a splurge but we are excited to come back!

Yelp
Came to SF for Giants fan fest and wanted to have a meal before we left. A friend suggested Milos. Everything was wonderful. Food, service, atmosphere. Shared a plate and the server split for us. My husband did the lamb and I the chicken. Next time I would get the lamb. Tender. Juicy just wonderful. I loved the pickles. Not as strong as a dill but very good. Tzatzki was thick and creamy. Great on the hot pitas. Chef gave us a taste of the hitipipi and we would definitely get that again. Never wanted for anything. Service was on point. Nicely decorated with comfy chairs. A good find.
google avatar

Don U.

Yelp
Top notch from start to finish. Food and service were both excellent. We started with the avgolemono (soup) and the octopus appetizer. The soup was a perfect start; the octopus was perfectly grilled, and the grilled lemon wedges were a nice touch. Then the anchovies and a grilled cheese, after which the two of us shared a lamb souvlaki. Finished off with the most amazing baklava in the world and a cup of Greek coffee. And the baklava came with ice cream and strawberries lightly covered with honey and walnuts. The servers were incredibly attentive without ever getting in the way, filling water glasses, bringing fresh silverware, etc., without ever feeling obtrusive. It wasn't a cheap meal, but it was worth every penny and more.

Yelp
We came to dinner here before a concert at Palace of fine arts. We were greeted by Yamileth as the host this particular night. We had mentioned having a hard time choosing between 2 appetizer options as so many sounded so good. The waitress provided us with sample appetizers which was extremely sweet of her. The food is wonderful to share, plates are a bit on the smaller tapas sizes for the price but the flavors are all there. We cannot say we had one bad dish. For dessert, Yamileth provided us with samples and very delicious. Overall, the service was great. The ambiance is warm and inviting. I can see this establishment thriving in the coming months. If I am in the neighborhood, I would return.

Yelp
i don't know where to start. for the food, everything was absolutely amazing. i asked for several recommendations and was met with nothing but amazing choices from the waiter. service was even better. our waiter made us feel at home and gave us his opinions on everything that we were considering. also, the complimentary sides on the house did not stop coming. he consistently came back and checked in on us, making sure everything was alright especially when there was a mixup with another waiter. ambiance was pretty calm and very nice. dress code seemed to be a bit business casual. this place is on the fancier side. i will definitely be coming back here again. this place was pretty new when I first came, and i have no doubt that they'll evolve to be even better. currently the best execution of a greek establishment that i have come across in san francisco.

Yelp
We were staying in the area and looked up Milo's . So we gave it a try. So glad we did. From the wine to the baklava 5 Stars. Our fish (whole) called Lavraki was boned and was so delicious. And our waitress, Burcu answered all our questions. She was so sweet and delightful. Wait people can make or break an evening and she helped make it a relaxing dinner.. just like in Europe.. thank you Burcu!

Yelp
Superb meal! We ordered an assortment of appetizers, everything was excellent - meze platter, saganaki, horiatiki salad, lamb riblets, and there was a lot more that we wanted to try but didn't have room so we will have to be back. (We, too, love Kokkari, but that is a whole different experience - and much pricier). Ambience is excellent, very comfortable and spacious. The one thing that could have ruined our evening was the 8-top of *shrieking* young women across from us (it was Saturday, very buzzy, but people have no self-awareness of their effect on other people!) The Milos Meze staff graciously helped us move to another, much quieter table which enhanced our appreciation 1000%. Thank you, Milos Meze, we will return!

Yelp
Our first time dining at Milos Meze but will be back when in the city. Perfect service; so many servers all so attentive and sweet. Best Greek food we've ever had. Ordered zucchini fritters, giant beans and moussaka with ground beef and salad. All delicious !! Beautiful place with such comfortable velvet chairs. Go early if you want a calmer dining experience. Was full and noisy when we left and it was a Wednesday ! Good for them though ! Thank you for old world dining and amazing food !!

Yelp
Second time here and everything gets even better! The hospitality is amazing, the servers are friendly, the food is fantastic! The ambiance is just right. Can be good for intimate dinners, or family celebrations, or a group of friends just having a weekend out. Our orders came fast and everything tasted perfect! The flavor was on point. I have gotten to love Greek food and will definitely come back! We got samples and it was all delicious!

Yelp
Such a welcome addition to the Marina - finally some amazing Greek food! The interior is clean and classy without being pretentious in any way. We started off with a flaky yummy spanakopita along with abundant pita bread with red pepper dip and tzaziki. Free house bread? In this economy? That's a huge YES from me!!! I got the chicken souvlaki as my main and it was sooo juicy. In addition to the mouthwatering food, the service was so warm and welcoming. Our server recommended the revani for dessert, which was like eating a warm hug - fantastic way to end the meal.

Yelp
You know when you've been to a place more than seven times since they've opened that you need to write a yelp review and rave about the amazing ambience and food. The service is exceptional with attention to detail in ensuring that your water is always filled and your area is clean. My fiancé and I have literally tried almost all the dishes on the menu and you can't go wrong with any of them. My personal favorites are the lamb riblets and the gigante beans. As for entrees, the fresh fish is a must, though you can't go wrong with the lab dishes or the ribeye. For dessert make sure to try the Revani cake. It comes with fresh strawberries, honey, walnuts and fresh ice cream. I wish this restaurant the very best and will continue to dine here in the future. Lastly, price is very reasonable for the area and much more affordable than other restaurants for the quality. Raise your glasses of Assyrtiko wine and let's chear Opa' to Milos.

Yelp
Impressed with this newer spot in the Marina! We had a reservation for Friday night. The restaurant was busy, but the service was warm & prompt. The menu is extensive, and we tried several different white wines from Greece - all refreshing! Main plates are great to share and several came with veggies / salad on the side. Loved the clean & modern interior, with the cloth chairs adding a cozy feel. Perfect spot to catch up with friends. Main plates - enjoyed all of them: - Sea bream - tender & delicious - Chicken souvlaki - both the chicken & tomatoes were juicy, loved the tzatziki sauce - Moussaka Vegeteraina - very good, almost like a lasagna Sides & apps: - Greek fries - perfect amount of crisp - Melitzanosalata - grilled eggplant spread comes with pita (we got pita refilled) - Sauteed veggies - your basic veggies

Yelp
Second day back, and once again I had a wonderful experience! This has officially become my new favorite Greek restaurant in San Francisco. The staff are just as friendly as they were yesterday--so kind and welcoming. Thank you for the delicious revani!

Yelp
Since I had their roasted sea bream, now I crave it every ~2 weeks. It was so perfectly done and yet simple. Exactly what you want from a roasted fish. Service was fantastic. Ambiance is classy and makes you feel like you're on vacation. Love this spot. Definitely a must try. Oh and get their rice pudding dessert. Straight gas
