Mily & Lalo Restaurant

We came across this place on 7/28/23 Peru’s Independence Day. While there was 80’s pop music playing on the background, I asked the waitress if she could play some Peruvian Festive music. She quickly replied said “the owner is the only person that can make the changes.” My table was sticky. The rugs were dirty and appearance was bad. There was practically nothing from the Appetizer Menu. We only got the Yuca Huancaina. The Fish Ceviche needed a lot of salt. Lomo Saltado was cooked with lots of soy sauce . I came from Philadelphia for a conference and this was definitely not a good pick. I hope they improve. Attached is the ceviche and the appetizer plate “yuca a la huancaina “

I was almost afraid to walk inside or even get out of my car for that matter. The place is empty! We were the only ones in the restaurant besides the staff. On top of that, once seated we asked about different menu items, specifically vegetarian plate, wine and spicy food. What a big disappointment! But what we did end up getting was pretty good and another family did come in before we left. The establishment rating was 96.7; not the worst I've seen in Charlotte & definitely not the best! Would we return, of course we will maybe not too soon but definitely will return.

Food was ok but the place needs some upgrades, unless you are willing to go and step inside the place looks like if it was closed, they could use some maintenance on the chairs, walls and front.

Really love coming here. I always get the arroz chaufa and my husband gets the ceviche. Really great flavor! The chicha is very good too! Always get great service and food is served promptly.

My food was great! The waitress was nice and did a good job at explaining everything on the menu to someone who never visited the restaurant before. She recommended what was highly popular and it was delicious! (Picture posted 3/19/2022 -still delicious)

Used to be one of my favorite places, but quality has gone down. The food that they use to cook does not taste as fresh. My favorite dish here use to be ceviche but I will no longer come anymore. I’ve been here 3 times in the last six months and each time it get worse. I was hoping i could be proven wrong. If your looking for a better restaurant try the one in Pineville. I’m sorry to leave a negative review but I hope my review helps others not experience the same thing, I’ve experienced.

The three items I initially planned on ordering from the menu were unavailable. So I ended up getting lomo saltado and chica. The drink was great and the food was food.

Awesome quality food, yes there is one waitress tending to the whole restaurant but shes one hell of a waitress if you are considerate of the fact that it's just her, she didnt even write down orders and she had every single item correct including the nuisances like no onions and so on, generous amount of food, good mix of music from Peruvian huino to salsa, cumbia, merengue, etc. We really enjoyed our Fathers Day at Mily & Lalo's today!
