Mimi Myeonga

"Mimi Myeonga is a local favorite, sought after by lovers of buckwheat noodles. Made in-house with an unconventional ratio of only three parts buckwheat, Chef Jang Seung-woo’s noodles have an undeniably chewy texture, while still maintaining the subtle nutty fragrance of buckwheat. There is something for everyone on the menu; in addition to the basic zaru soba, customers can choose from a list of soba dishes that are served hot or cold, featuring different broths and toppings that always hit the spot." - Michelin Inspector

Soba, soba, soba. The surprise factor here is the fried eggplant with shrimp in between. The best of its kind, beating most tempura shop in Japan. Big surprise!!

Michelin-Starred Restaurant in Seoul This small, cozy restaurant offers a delightful dining experience. Orders and payments are made through a touchscreen, which is particularly convenient for foreign visitors, as the interface is also available in English. The service is excellent and efficient, with staff taking the time to explain each dish in detail. The restaurant specializes in both hot and cold soba noodles, which are truly exceptional. I highly recommend the tempura soba that it’s juicy, flavorful, and a standout dish. They also serve amazing side dishes that perfectly complement the main courses. 🤤 What truly sets this place apart, in my opinion, is the price. For a Michelin-starred establishment (previously featured in the Michelin Guide), the cost is incredibly reasonable.🏆 This is a fantastic spot, highly recommended for both lunch and dinner.🍜

It’s a small and cozy Michelin star restaurant that is on the affordable side. Everything from the customer service to the atmosphere, as well as the food were all exceptional. They don’t try to do anything fancy, but just make simple soba as best as they can. We got the shrimp tempura soba and unagi tempura soba which is a bit on the expensive side of the menu but the tempuras worked well with the hearty broth and the soba noodles. Overall we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this place if you’re into soba or noodles!

Came in the summer on a rainy afternoon with a slight wind. The vibe was on point. Had the cold soba + shrimp tempura. Incredibly refined taste. Simple but tasteful and delicious. I mixed my noodles together and ate the noodles interchanged with the shrimp tempura while sipping on the savory cold broth. Ended by consuming the pickled plum which released a burst of sweet juice that ended the meal perfectly. Delicious. A must try.

The place was packed on a Wed slightly after they opened at 11:30 am. You place your order and make the payment with a monitor before you get seated. The soba in hot soup or cold are both delicious! Well deserved for the recognition!

The soba is fresh and chewy, which is the star of the show. The tempuras were normal and are just an accompaniment. Will visit again just for the soba.

I went last year in May to a small restaurant that had won a Michelin award. When I arrived, the queue was quite long, so I tried to avoid going at noon. The restaurant had both locals and tourists. The prices were not expensive, and the food was delicious. The staff spoke a little English but they were very kind. The menu was in Korean, but I showed them pictures when ordering.

Oh it’s soooo good, devouring my hot soba in the rainy afternoon 😭😋 I go with the 2pcs of shrimp tempura, no complaint at all. The broth, noodles, mushroom, and veggies are go so well together. Simply order from the machine and your delicious soba will be served in no time. Definitely a michelin worthy!
