Superb customer service. Very friendly. Food tasty. Ambience is a vibe. Music was definitely on point. Parking is rough over there, but worth it. Be careful though-a vehicle was broken into next door in broad day light. Just uber lol

Went for the Thursday Happy Hour and it didn’t disappoint. Music and DJ was really, kept the crowd constantly nodding while enjoying their food. Portions are quite small but for $5 on Thursdays from 5-10pm, you can’t go wrong. Lamb chops were flavorful and tender, salmon croquettes were perfectly cooked, fried brussel sprouts were crispy & flavorful and the greens were amazing. Overall, great place to relax and start off the weekend with great food & music

Cool lounge with great vibes! We arrived a lil bit too early (we were visiting from out of town) so it wasn't jumping yet BUT it was very clean in there, the food they were cooking smelled great, and their entire staff was super friendly. We'll be back for sure cause the music 🎶 was cracking. Lol!

This is me and girlz FAVORITE brunch spots. The food is excellent, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is fun. We have gone at least once (I really think it's twice) a month since our first visit. And don't sleep on Thursday Happy Hour & Karaoke Night. Sooooo much fun. M2 IS A WHOLE VIBE!

This place is a lovely bar/restaurant and they have a fabulous brunch for dinner deal on Thursdays. Most of the items are $5 and drinks are regular prices. The food is good, the chefs are awesome, bartenders are great and they also have reserved areas for bottle service! Great place to party! Note: This is a 21 plus venue and they require an ID. They will not accept a photo so come correct so you don't get turned away.

This place is always a good time. They have really good brunch grits with shrimp and grits and has crawfish in it. Also, I took my Granny and she had a good time. We had a mimosa and My Cousin. The vibe is great there. You can listen to music to have a DJ playing so if you're in town, you should go check out this place and they have à la carte also so you don't have to get the brunch

I know this place as M2. It has a very nice cultured atmosphere and offers a variety of social events including trap karaoke, brunch, and food events. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Above the bar, they play the most current popular sporting events such as basketball and football games. The staff are friendly, hardworking, approachable and cater to the needs of each guest for reasonable requests. The place was very clean. There is a very energetic DJ playing a mix of the best of what music has to offer which includes hip hop and r&b. He knows how to keep the crowd singing and moving. The food was crazy good and they even offer vegan options. Best brunch hands down and not only because the food was so good but because they do it "closed buffet" style. For a flat fee you can go to the buffet and be served the menu options (it's not self serve which prevents the spread of germs). The drink menu was great and we tried several of the drinks. All of them were good. I have zero complaints. This place puts other brunch places to shave and even stays open a little later than lots of typical brunch places that close or stop serving at 3pm. They stop serving at 5pm. I was more than pleased and so was the bday boy.

The bar was too slow for just champagne pours on a busy Saturday . There was only one bartender and 1-2 bar backs. The music was too loud to hold conversations inside and I was getting a headache. I want good music, but I want to hear my conversation next to my friends. No complaints with the food, it was good! Fresh and hot. I'm not sure I would come back because of the long waits and loud music. We didn't sit outside, but I probably would considering the inside noise.

I joined my family there, the service was friendly. The ambiance is what you would expect in a bar environment and the food was okay.

I don't recommend, it has turned extremely ghetto. Security and staff need training on customer service.

Let me first start by saying that I had a very good time celebrating my Birthday at M2. We came in there this evening, which is a Thursday night so we could enjoy the five dollar menu. We ordered several different items throughout the night. We drank several drinks a piece. Shots and all. The food came out very fast. Very thankful for that. I didn't like the fact that it was so busy and you had to wait on the bartenders for several minutes to place an order for drinks or food. The music was great. I didn't like that karaoke wasn't until 9 PM. I got there at 5 PM in hopes of doing karaoke, not knowing that it started so late. Unfortunately, we did not stay until 9 o'clock because one of the ladies in my party decided to go to the sushi place and bring her food into the establishment. Later she approached by the owner while she was outside smoking a cigarette regarding said situation. When she came back inside to the group, she was in full-blown tears and crying uncontrollably. Such a vibe kill! Anyway, We decided to leave immediately following the encounter. I personally apologized to the owner for the mishap, even though I did not eat a single crumb of the food (edamame). Truth be told I made sure the edamame was cleaned up and off the table. I even cleared the empty cups, champagne glasses and other trash from the table because no one came around to do so. Would I go back? For sure. Would I recommend? Yes. Advice: arrive early to get a good seat, Order the Brussel sprouts. Most importantly leave your outside food outside.

This place is great for a date night or just getting together for a night out with the ladies or fellas. Parking can be a lil hard to find close to the location but still not in a bad area. They have music drinks and good food. On Thursdays they have a $5 menu everything is $5 and everything was good at that price i had to order 1 of everything. Yo won't be disappointed with the drinks as well service is pretty fast and the dj keeps the music going they also have TV for the games.

Oh my!! Found this gem through a friend. First off the ambiance is on point!!! Live dj on a Sunday brunch!! Ooo boy!! Amazing!! Food is absolutely delicious!! Not to mention the vibe here is soooo welcoming!! We are not the typical people to go to things like this but we love soul food!! And food!!! Staff is so damn friendly I wish I could get this service in other places!! 1,000% coming back next time in Oakland!! Bringing friends for sure!!! Food is so good and filling!! Love love love it here!!! Looking for delicious soul food and great vibes!! This is your place!!

Hello so this weekend I went to this lounge in Oakland by lake Merritt. When walking in its a nice atmosphere. They serve food until 10pm and also have a cocktail special menu which is served until 11:30pm which I thought was very smart. We had a VIP table but I went to the bar to place my order. I did ask the bar tender what food does she recommend so that was a nice encounter. I order a Hennessy side car which was a 10 out of 10. I ordered some truffle fries along with some prawns with butter garlic sauce. Let's just say it was money well spent. I finally took at a look at the cocktail menu and saw a blackberry sidecar and thought that too was delicious so I had 2 of those. Overall it was a good night great music and a good atmosphere. I would recommend this place and I will be back.

I went for Sunday Brunch a little after 12 noon. We were treated by a nice young lady and seated right away as it wasn't too crowded. We sat at a high table, but were comfortable. There was a variety of foods to choose from. I had bacon, potatoes, grits, and french toast. I had a Miami Vice that I ordered from the bar and it was GOOD. They don't take cash, but I carry very little cash anyway. A couple of staff came by to take our plates (ready for round two) and asked if everything was ok. Seems like a family type of vibe. Everyone was pleasant. There's a parking lot a couple of doors down. I can't explain exactly where it is, but when you exit you're on the side of the Grand Lake Theater. Overall, I enjoyed everything.

This seems like a really happening place. Very lively ambiance. Did not order the food, so I don't know what it tastes like. There was some party or something going on while I was there. Service seemed to be pretty good but again we only ordered 1 drink. Plenty of seating all around. Worth going back to for another visit.

Went with coworkers on a Thursday night which happened to be karaoke night. The vibe was great and the dj had everyone moving. Ordering was a bit confusing but we figured out we get food and drinks at the bar. Ordering was difficult because most people were seated at the bar so getting access to a bartender was hit or miss. Once we ordered, i was surprised to get my drink in a tiny plastic cup while my coworker got hers in a glass but i guess it's all the same when you drink it. The food took more than 45 minutes to come out and was very cold. Not pictured was also an order of greens and pork chops. My coworker said the pork chops were the best thing we ordered so take that as you may. I would probably go back but for drinks and ambience more than anything.

Best bar/lounge in Oakland! The staff is great, the food is great and so is the space. The manager, Jeff runs the place and is the type of manager that works WITH his team! The best part is that they do not shun the homeless! They have no problem treating them like people! They make sure they have a bite to eat and even offer them a seat! True definition of an Oakland business!!! Other places should take notes!

Listen...the bartenders are always attentive and the food is big back worthy. Let me help you with your order the lemon pepper wings are delicious and so is the crab mac and cheese. I ordered the bread pudding with the caramel and bourbon and I will never be right again. If you are in the neighborhood stop by. Now I want to try thr brunch I think the fried lobster is calling my name.

I had the pleasure of stopping in for brunch with friends on Sunday. Thankful for places that take reservations... and I Love the vibe of this place starting with the sweetest hostess. All of the staff are super friendly. Love the cocktail selections (probably loved the Miami Vice Mimosas more than I should have ). The buffet has a nice variety. I went for the beef links, chicken sausage, potatoes with brussell sprouts, biscuit, grits, and an amazing gravy. EVERYTHING was delicious and I couldn't get enough of the grits and gravy. While the music was on point during my 4 hour visit, at times it was too loud and our party of 7 found ourselves shouting during our conversations. I love this establishment and look forward to stopping in again to try the ala carte menu with the waffle and fried lobster!!

Food was amazing. We went for the Sunday brunch and OMG everything was hot & flavorful. Great customer service.I appreciate that we pay when we come in for our food and then we can just eat and relax and not have to worry about a bill at the end, however you do need to purchase your drinks at the bar. Which are slightly Higher, but they make good drinks. I will return also the happy hour on Tuesdays don't miss it.

I call this place lamb chops. lol honestly the lamb chops make me come back every week I'm pregnant and my baby craves them. The people are very nice and the dj is hilarious. Check it out.

I stumbled into this place on a Thursday night and ordered the five dollar bites off the menu where you can order different variety of items for five dollars. It was a great way to try bites, especially because I love ordering appetizers as my main. On Thursday there's karaoke I would say the crowd changes on a Thursday night from fun having crowds to a little bit of a different crowd so depends on the crowd you're looking. go in for the food on Thursday. I heard there's a brunch on Sunday. I go early maybe watch some karaoke and then I leave. I would recommend going because the food is great. Try to jerk lamb chops.

I went for the 1st time on Sunday. They open at noon according to their posted hours. They were not open at noon more like 12:10. When you walk in, you have to show your id, really, why? Then you are given a menu to decide if you're going to do the brunch or order from the menu. You pay 1st and then you can go to the buffet. Of course the food was not ready. It wasn't until 12:30pm that the buffet was open. There is no service to speak of. You order your drinks at the bar. The brunch does not include mimosas with it. They clear your paper plates from your table. The music is extremely loud and makes conversation difficult. They play it so loud because they say people want to dance and enjoy themselves. It appears that they want to cater to a younger crowd. I will not return to this black owned establishment. Not opening on time, not having the food ready on time, playing the music too loud, the seating is uncomfortable and the food is so so makes it not the place for me. I remember the 1st version of this restaurant. Lessons were not learned. I wish them the best in catering to the younger crowd.

Food: delicious and well seasoned. Buffet style and all-you-eat Service: service was excellent. Bartender warm and friendly and good drinks. Waitress was as attentive as she could be, being that she also was the hostess. Ambiance: the wall seating could definitely use a facelift and removal of some of the old hardware left from the previous two business leftover needs to be removed. Dive bar look!! If you like that!

Came on a good day: Thurs brunch at night special -everything was $5!! (But of course be aware the portion is small, def worth it if you want to try multiple dishes) We ordered: Lemon pepper, red hot, and chimichurri wings: my favorite were the chimichurri wings! Soo flavorful. The chimichurri sauce gave it a nice freshness. Salmon croquette: Had a lot of salmon which was surprising because usually croquettes have more filling than protein so you def get your moneys worth. Fried brussel sprouts w/ truffle oil and Parmesan: THIS WAS MY FAVORITE DISH OF THE NIGHT. I might be lightweight biased bc I love brussel sprouts and will always order it but it was perfectly cooked and seasoned! Crispy because it was fried but still had that nice fresh bite I enjoy with brussel sprouts. Not oily or mushy at all! The truffle taste wasn't overbearing. I loved the surprise of the Parmesan flavor in the end. I was thinking it'd be too salty but it was a perfect balance of all the ingredients!! Grilled jerk lamb chops: the meat was super moist and tender, didn't have the gamey flavor I'm accustomed to when eating lamb. The chefs for sure know how to season and cook their dishes! Not salty whatsoever!!! Collared greens w/ smoked turkey: again great flavor, could taste the smoked turkey, and the greens weren't overcooked. Mac n cheese: never been a fan of Mac n cheese, they all taste the same to me. But it was good! Nothing negative to say about it. lol.

Have been to this establishment many times and hope to see some changes or improvements. Food: I have no complaints. Food was really good and the $5 dollar specials are worth it. Drinks: The drinks need major improvements. They have a big cocktail list, but I'm wondering who came up with the ideas and the drink mixes. Every drink that I ordered was overpowered with lemon juice. Not sure if it's used to make the drink seem bigger, but it's a horrible mix. I barely tasted any liquor and for the price, felt cheated. $14 for a lemon cocktail with a splash of whiskey inside a water cooler cup isn't the way to go. Overall, cool place if you want to listen to some old school rap or r&b. Plenty of mamas and papas in there.

Celebrated my birthday here on May 26 2024 the atmosphere was perfect. The hostess explained the menu and broke down all our questions and pricing effectively. The food was phenomenal. Everything was seasoned well. It tasted excellent. My favorite was the biscuits from the buffet. I enjoyed the fried lobster with the waffle. Everything was perfect, I do recommend

A few friends and I went here on a Friday night. Overall, we enjoyed our time! Drinks were on point. We went with the 2 for 1 mimosas and loved the variety of flavor selections. Food was excellent. I highly recommend the truffle Brussels and crab Mac and cheese! These were the favorites of the table. We were not very impressed with salmon croquettes as they lacked flavor and had a dry texture. The vibe is electric. Ambiance is beautiful. Love all of the wall art! The service, however, was super duper slow. Maybe because there were only 2 people serving and the place was pretty packed. Glad they are getting good business though! Would definitely love to return especially for the Thursday brunch.

This is a review on catering. Food looked great we were excited to partner however they forced an almost $400 gratuity into our bill when we are a small non profit because they charge 20% gratuity. When I asked im them if they were aware of the law not allowing resturants to force gratuity they said they were. Please make sure your servers are practicing law. I did end up getting sick surprisingly from this resturant quite fast. It was the only thing I had eaten all day.

This is a spot in Oakland. where the vibe is really nice and the food is really delicious. & the ambience creates a nice vibe you can hang out & Chill to with family or friends. the lamb chops are delicious . the service is great and the ambience is lovely. You can vibe all night.so when you in Oakland stop by have a drink or a bite to eat and enjoy yourself.

Came after seeing a review by Boozie Brunch. She advertised a happy hour on Thursdays. All the food is $5 for mini plates. The place was PACKED!!! Many of the people there also saw her review so maybe thats why. The food was amazing! The music was on point-the perfect mixture of new and 90's-00's throw backs; props to the DJ! The vibe was amazing! The down side: because it was so packed, we got there at 7 and the kitchen was soooo backed up, it was closed! We could only order drinks from the bar (if you could squeeze your way up to it) eventually the kitchen opened up again but by that time, they were sold out of 3 of the things we wanted to try! What we ate (all good/would order again): Greens Jerk Lamb Lemon Pepper Wings (a lil salty) Sea Salt Fries (a lil salty) What we drank: Maitai (tasted like Rum punch i had in Florida!) The Little Mermaid (cute lil fruity drink) It took an hour to order and another hour to get the food, but the vibe and the music was so good we didnt mind (fortunately we weren't starving) i'd come back, but maybe not on a Thursday. I heard the sunday brunch is good so i think i'll try that

Top notch experience every time! The ambiance is spectacular with plenty of seating and excellent music being played! The owner, staff, chef, baristas are all so welcoming and treat you like family. The food is so delicious and makes my tastebuds tantalized! I highly recommend this spot!

WOW!!! We just got home from this place and we left with happy bellies and smiling! This place has such an amazing vibe! The decor and music are awesome and all the people are just having a good time! We made reservations and were seated right away and our server came right away and got us set up with water and took our drink orders. They have lots of options and their mocktails were impressive too! All the drinks were super affordable but super nice quality. For food we got the brussel sprouts, crab Mac n cheese and the steak. Everything was prepared, and presented beautifully! I shared those things with my husband and we were plenty full when we left. We're excited to come back and try their all you can eat Sunday brunch and their Thursday happy hour. You should check out this gem too!

DO NOT EVER GO HERE. I tried to go on Friday, the 2 oversized males and the tiny male security guards at the door are absolute TRASH. Unprofessional. MAD ghetto and they gave off "bitter" and unnecessarily mean to women which says a lot. They were extremely hostile, and talked so much unprovoked mess about another establishment (Hello Stranger) but this would never happen there. When I walked up to the front of M2, it seemed to be dry in there anyways, so it didn't feel like a loss but now I understand why no one was there and why the crowd appeared to be scarce. I posted this same complaint on my Instagram story, and a number of other people had responded saying they had the same experience. Don't go here, if you want a good time, go to Hello stranger where the vibes are welcoming and friendly, the music is good, and if you're a girl, you don't have to worry about men with baby meat energy TRYING to press you.

Food took forever to come out. Gave us food without utensils, not even napkins. My husband had to get me a paper towel from the restroom. Nothing special at all, for the wait I would have expected and would have been content, if it were worth it. The drinks were good, but not for the price. Service was very lacking. Would NEVER return, nor recommend.

It was a vibe here! Good music, food was okay, drinks were good. I love the different mimosas they offer but they have a good selection of cocktails and other drinks as well. We went on a Saturday night, so food menu wasn't what our friend said it would be. Our bartender was incredibly nice and she told us the food menu can change and they have more for brunch and on Thursdays I believe they have $5 food options. The owner was also incredibly kind and accommodating! Would definitely come again on a Friday night or Sunday during brunch!!

Great aesthetic and the music was great! We came before DJ hours but I wasn't disappointed with the playlist at all. The hostess was professional and the bartender (Veronica) was friendly, attentive and provided top notch service! Decent menu of small bites. Limited drink menu which is expected from the title. DRINKS: Hibiscus Paloma was excellent! Extra dirty Belvedere martini was excellent! The blackberry sidecar was good. FOOD: The salmon croquettes bites, avocado and crab on garlic toast, and twice fried garlic butter tots were all EXCELLENTLY DELICIOUS!!! Only negative is the uncomfortable seats. They have 8 loveseats and the rest are high tables with narrow and very uncomfortable stools.

What you are looking for here should determine when you come. Looking for a nice vibe with seating options (from small 2 person tables to bottle service sections) , come earlier. If you want a loud active crowd with a DJ (and maybe a lil drama to entertain, like we got), come later. The service is better, naturally, when less crowded but the staff seem to try to do their best regardless. Parking can be a bit challenging but there is a lot a few doors away. Dress code seems to be enforced according to the personal mood of the door security. Our first time here we had a member of our party be told to remove his hoodie, then a few minutes later two other people came in with them. Our second and last visit we observed another guy be told to take off his hoodie while 20 min later 2 other guys were roaming around in them. Hmmm.. Aside from all this, the experience is average. It's a place to go if that's what you want or need, but not especially memorable in a good way.

I've been here a few times & I love the grown and sexy atmospheric vibe that's set here. Each and every time I'm here I feel safe, I feel like there is a different caliber of men and women who just merely want to have a good time and enjoy each other company. Pretty packed on the weekends. Service is always good. You might have to wait a little bit to get a drink at the bar but I'm always greeted with great service. Open til 2am on the weekends and the DJ is always ALWAYS on point when I'm here. I didn't have the food last time I was here but I did the first time I was here opening night I had the food. It was Delicious. I've attached some photos.

This was my third visit and it was on a Thursday during Brunch at Night. The Brunch at Night menu has many $5 options. I loved the lamb chops and fries. The vibe was cool and the staff was incredible, however, service was slow. I'll definitely be back.

Liking the vibe of this place. Not many bars on this street, so this was a nice addition to the neighborhood. They have a huge selection of mimosas (surprise surprise), a decent happy hour menu, and a good variety of food items on their regular menu (though pricey!). Our bar tender was friendly, accommodating, and attentive. They played good variety of music and had the NBA game on their screens. I can see this place getting busy on a weekend. Hoping they change up the menu every now and then to keep it interesting. Either way, we plan to return!

My 1st time here !!!! The hostess Janae is the bomb!!! Very nice and friendly and one of the best hostess I have everrrrrrr had!!!! The food OMG!!! Take you to the south if your know what I'm talking about!!!! Sorry no pictures ate my food too fast!! You just have to come yourself!!! Great energy amd vibes amd music l!!! I came on.
