"Opening October 8, this private lofted two-story event space in SoMa debuts as a mixed-use arts-and-food venue hosting a four-chef pop-up supper series from October 8 to November 4; the name is a cheeky anagram of SoMa and the space will release its address a few days before each early-aughts-style pop-up. Each event seats 20 ticketed diners, features rotating Bay Area artists with work for sale (first up is Oakland-based Chonnessey Bowie), and has beverage sponsorship from Bay Area Korean-owned brewery Dokkaebier. Hong frames MOSA as a way to celebrate human gatherings, invest in fledgling businesses and artists—with a priority on BIPOC creators—and make the space available to rent for private events and recurring non-food programming like yoga classes and art demos; tickets for each pop-up go on sale Friday, September 22." - Paolo Bicchieri
