Sustainability Means Staying Rooted in My Community | Bon Appétit

"The community center functions as a local hub for Indigenous food programming and pandemic relief, providing space where staff cleared the pantry to launch large-scale meal production for elders and supported efforts to reintroduce traditional ingredients and foodways to the local Native community." - ByBrian Yazzie

The Most Exciting Food Events for October, 2019 | Eater Twin Cities

"At MAIC I can learn about Indigenous food in a third-annual event inspired by the momentum Sean Sherman and Sioux Chef created around pre-colonial cuisine; it’s an exciting educational opportunity for food lovers to explore those traditions." - Matt Gundrum

I grew up attending pow wows here all my life, the renovations done here or very well done Nice I must say, I had public copies of plans for the renovations i thought cool, but their nothing like getting here and seeing it. I can't wait for my free time to get to the weights💪

Went to Gatherings. Eugene makes the best salads in Minneapolis! My favorite thing about the food is that its healthy, fast, and creative! Everything I have had there has been great. Try the melts too! There is also a lovely art gallery inside, and a nice gift shop as well. Lots of great jewelry, leather goods, greeting cards and other things. Free parking on premises also

The remodel has done so much good for this place! They have a bigger cafeteria area now for Gatherings Cafe and it is a lot more airy and bright. We have brought students here for the MMIW March and for lunch. Can't wait to see what they continue to host and do with the new, updated space.

The new remodel is amazing. A must visit is you haven't been there for a while.

Great place to go to for connecting with the Native community. Since their recent construction updates, a lot of things about the structure has immensely improved. I love all the new equipment at the gym, and the cafe is wonderful!
