"Believe it or not, Coconut Grove is home to two spots for vegan dim sum. Minty Z serves some really tasty and meat-free dumplings, bao, and more dishes great for sharing with a date or a couple of friends. They've got lots of small plates you can crowd the table with: dishes like sweet and sour mushrooms, plant-based shumai, sesame seitan wings, and more. You can also eat it in a cute dining room beneath a painting of a sloth eating noodles. " - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo

"Carrot And Black Sesame Bao After a week of ice cream and potato chips, I wanted to switch things up with some vegan food. So I went to go try Coconut Grove’s new vegan dim sum spot, Minty Z. I really liked this place - from the adorable little characters on their dining room mural to just about every dish I tried. But the clear standout here is the carrot and black sesame bao. It’s a ridiculously fluffy bun stuffed with a black sesame filling. It straddles the line between sweet and savory, with a slightly nutty flavor and a fantastic texture. I could eat about 20. And I just might try the next time I come here." - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea
"This Coconut Grove vegan dim sum restaurant is winning the hearts of vegans and carnivores with its Asian fusion cuisine. Enjoy sesame seitan wings, crispy “wings” with teriyaki glaze, pan-fried bao buns with “beef” filling and coconut yogurt, and pineapple fried rice with tofu scramble. For dessert, bao beignets with five-spice sugar and black sesame caramel are addictive. Miami Spice brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday at $35 per person." - Alona Martinez
"Serving plant-based Pan Asian cuisine, this friendly spot (known for its dim sum) offers wok-seared mushrooms, cauliflower kimchi, buckwheat scallion pancakes, and truffle fried rice, for those seeking vegan dishes." - Alona Martinez
