Seattle’s Best Brunch Restaurants | Eater Seattle

"Sometimes the best brunch is the one that’s close by — especially if you’re looking to treat a hangover with some hair of the dog. A merrily crackling wood-fired oven presides over the dining room at all four locations of this neighborhood pizzeria, which features breakfast strombolis packed with pancetta and pizzas topped with perfectly gooey sunny-side-up eggs. This is a resolutely savory brunch menu, where the house spin on a cinnamon and apple bread pudding is laced with pancetta." - Sophie Grossman

Where to Eat Pizza for Brunch In Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Brunch is served at all four of Mioposto’s warm, family-friendly restaurants (including Mount Baker, Bryant, Mercer Island, in addition to this one). And at the top of that menu is the bacon and egg breakfast pizza: house-made tutto calabria sauce made in-house, pancetta, mozzarella, and two eggs sunny side up. There’s also a classic shakshuka, and a giant breakfast stromboli, for some other hearty options." - Marika Malaea

Absolutely amazing! Love my new discovery here - cheese lasagna! But honestly, I haven’t had anything here I didn’t like. I love the La Calabria pizza and the salads. The tiramisu is incredibly soft and fresh—such a perfect way to end the meal. I love that they use the real leaf tea here and not teabags, although next time I will ask to put less leaves per pot, it was a bit too concentrated for me. Can’t wait to be back! Thank you!

Good place to eat if you like wood fired pizza! The waitresses are nice, and the interior is amazing. We ordered Spring Lamb and Margarita pizzas. The food is good, but not great. The strawberry and lemon lemonade is fresh and good.

Google
Mioposto is a great neighborhood pizzeria located in the Admiral district of West Seattle serving up Neapolitan style pizza. We went there for lunch. The pizza Margherita was good, not spectacular, but better than most. It was well balanced with sweet tomato, creamy fresh mozzarella and a charred crust. The crust was a bit dense, chewy and slightly undercooked, it could have been puffier with more alveoli. Perhaps the oven is not hot enough. We also tried a the eggplant melanzane and shakshuka. Both were delicious and came with wonderful fresh bread. If you are in the neighborhood and have a hankering for good pizza or Italian food, this place is well worth a visit.

We stopped by Mioposto in West Seattle for lunch and had a great experience. The food was excellent-our pizzas were perfectly cooked with fresh, flavorful ingredients, and the drinks were just as impressive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We were also happy to learn they have multiple locations-can’t wait to visit another one soon. Highly recommend!

Google
This location would be a 5 star if management simply trains one waitress to concentrate on giving the customers of all colors, ages, groups, sizes a great experience. The skinny, somewhat blonde girl hair that the receipt says goes by Keely C gave me and my family what we all considered to be the worst customer service experience ever received, and we eat out a lot. It started from the moment that she took us to our table, but, when we looked at her interaction at other tables, she was all laughter, and we couldn't figure out why she was not giving us that energy, and our only conclusion as sad as it sounds, is that we were literally the only table that was not caucausian....and I hate even typing this, but nothing else made sense considering how it went from beginning to end. If that training took place, this place would definitely be a 4 to 5 star experience for all the people. For me, atmosphere and service go hand in hand. The lady with the long curly black hair not in uniform was very kind, but unfortunately not our server. To end on a good note, the pizza is delicious.....update....they reached out to me and offered me a gift card and for us to return, but we declined it. So, I appreciate the effort to provide us with a better experience. We want this to serve as tool to improve service, not for us to get a free meal.

Google
We stumbled upon this place after a movie at the admiral theater. It was a Sunday afternoon and it was 5:15. They had a happy hour menu going on until six. On a Sunday!!! Claire took care of us!!!! We ordered two glasses of house wine off the happy hour menu. We ordered the medium beet salad, which was incredible! Then we ordered a margarita pizza. Everything that we ate was absolutely fantastic and the vibe is unreal. Such a fun, cozy busy neighborhood.

Google
The best pizza at West Seattle, a super cozy and warm atmosphere—it feels like being in an Italian inn! you must try the Aperol Spritz!

Google
One of our go to restaurants and an obvious favorite. The food is so fresh and the bread is just incredible, as is the pizza. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but seriously the Quattro Formaggi pizza is everything!!! Dont skip the melanzane, antipasti, or the Burrata, you’ve got to try these, they’re all amazing! Definitely save room for a tiramisu and an affogato. This will soon become your favorite restaurant too!

Yelp
What a neighborhood restaurant should be like! The latest time we came was a busy night - Friday, end of restaurant week, end of happy hour. They still managed to fit us in - splitting a six person table into two two people tables with seats between us. The atmosphere was bustling and lively but very much in control - our server seemed to be watching everyone in his section to see when their drink was empty or their menu was down. The food was very good. We had the burrata with spring pea pesto - I will say the burrata was delicious but the pita bread that came with it was absolutely amazing. I then had a Caesar salad that was flavored well and deliciously crunchy and zesty. We shared a mushroom pizza which was cheesy and substantive with a nice crispy but chewy crust. The house wine was reasonably priced and tasty and we enjoyed dinner at a good pace without ever feeling like it was either dragging or rushed. Would recommend!

Yelp
I have come here twice - the first being a pizza takeout and the second was about a year later for sit-down brunch. For takeout, we ordered a pizza and the $7 side of bread. The pizza was just fine, but the bread was completely burnt like a hockey puck (we were already home before I noticed this). The fact that they charge $7 for a little pita-type bread was astonishing. I decided to not return, until I got a gift card. We decided to try their sit-down brunch. I ordered the shakshuka and my partner got the hash. Mine was quite good - a decent portion, tasty, and the bread was actually soft this time! My partner's order looked... sad. Like there was nothing to it but a couple of eggs, shaved potato, and some dry arugula. The service, however, was great. I wouldn't come back here due to the price not quite matching the quality (unless I got another gift card). I will note that in both cases, the restaurant smelled really weird. Like a sour barn smell. It was kind of distracting while I was trying to eat.

Yelp
Looking for happy hour to chase our sorrow from a Kraken loss. This place was great. Go early for happy hour. Gets busy fast. Order the Pinocchio without olives. For 12 bucks, it's not bad. My complaint is crust not great and toppings slide off. Unfortunately it also failed next day test which is reheating and eat. The best thing for me was the beet salad. So excellent. Happy hour dinner for two plus chocolate cake for dessert was pricey but sometimes you gotta splurge when your team loses in overtime.

Yelp
Great Happy Hour. Everyday of the week. High quality food and flavors Love finding these gems in West Seattle.

Yelp
Everything was so yum!!! Found it on TikTok and had a little wait, but it was so worth it. The vibes is family friendly and very warm inside. It's no wonder why everyone was there at dinner time. The bread is so freshly baked and it was fun watching them use the wood fire oven. Amazing sauce and textures and flavors. Will be back soon!

Yelp
AMAZING PIZZA! I ordered the La Calabria, their new pizza, and it was phenomenal! Get it while it's here because it will change your life, coming from someone who works at a pizza restaurant. The hint of honey sweetness made the pizza, I could eat two 12'in pizzas by myself!

Yelp
went out for a girl's night - vibez 10/10! very cute and aesthetic spot w/dim lighting and candles. this place would make such a cute date spot. the ambience is giving romantic dark academia. YOU ALREADY KNOW WE GOT PICTURES THAT SERVEDDDD. i got the calamari as an appetizer and ngl thought it was gon be fried, but it's not. it still was good! good bite size calamari in tomato sauce. i only tried the pinocchio pizza and it was okay. it tasted like pizza lol. service 10/10!

Yelp
I love this place, been many times for happy hour. It gets pretty busy and is kid friendly, a really great neighborhood staple

Yelp
This is a great upscale pizza restaurant. They have several in the Seattle area. This one has a small patio in front and huge windows (formerly a loading door, maybe?) that fully open when it's nice out. It's a bit expensive for it to be a regular stop for me, but I always enjoy myself when I do come here. Food is well made and the staff are nice. Pizza is definitely the star of the show here although they do have some other options along with a fairly big appetizers section. They have a late afternoon happy hour which in my opinion can be a good deal for drinks but a meh deal for food (for example, it's never economical to buy a smaller diameter pizza...nor does it satisfy my appetite!). I usually get the meatballs and a Pinocchio pizza. They do now offer dairy free cheese and several other allergy accomodations.

Yelp
Best pizza, apps, and staff in WS. You can never go wrong with this combo - olives, Caesar, any of their pizzas and a cold Georgetown Brewing Manny's. The best! Always a solid go to if you're looking good pizza and good people. Summer days with windows open is the best.

Yelp
Came here around 2:30pm on a Sunday with a friend because we were in the area and hungry and I did not expect the food to be so good or the service to be so great. We sat alone outside, so initially service was a teensy bit slow (we didn't get our orders in until 2:55ish, and I had been a little worried because I wanted a brunch item, which the menu says is served until 3pm), but then our server comped our drinks without us even saying a word! When food did arrive, it was delicious. I got the panenata ($18) which is a baked bread pudding with apples, pancetta, and cinnamon. It was sweet with just the right touch of savory, and absolutely hit the spot. My friend got a beet salad and pizza which seemed to hit the spot for her. I also ordered their Mio Scroppino "eye opener" drink ($15) which has limoncello, mint, lemon, and prosecco. It was bright, citrus-y and floral without being too heavily boozy. Prices were totally reasonable, and the outdoor seating was great. Even though it was raining on and off, we were covered and didn't feel chilly.

Yelp
The food...the ambience and the service check all the boxes! Happy hour prices are sure bet!

Yelp
Fantastic place. I love the food here and the Pizza tastes of Italy. My favorites are the Pinocchio and Spring Lamb. They have a great happy hour from 4-6 daily as well.

Yelp
Excellent pizza! Fun to watch them make the crust. Can get noisy as place is small. Service was pretty good.
google avatar

Abigail O.

Yelp
The clams are *chef's kiss.* Doesn't seem to be a lot of seating at the West Sea location, but sharing space with strangers at the "communal seating tables" was less awkward than I expected. The service and food were excellent.

Yelp
Pizza with an upscale vibe. Great service and ambiance. Hidden treasure in West Seattle.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite pizza place in the Seattle /King County area if not in the entire state! I've been here at least 5 times either just with my bf or with friends. I've tried a bunch of other pizza places but this is the only one I want to go back to over and over again. My favorite is the Zucca Balsamica - it has butternut squash, caramelized onions, goat cheese, and balsamic reduction along other things. If you want something that's a little sweet and a little salty, this is for you. My bf loves the Pinocchio pizza coz he loves pepperoni and olives. I'm not a big pepperoni person but I love this pizza! We also love the Spring lamb pizza. I don't know why some people don't like lamb, but we do! The goat cheese with the red pepper is just a good flavor dance in your mouth. Lastly, their Caesar salad - my favorite! I've been to dozens of restaurants serving this kind of salad and this is still my favorite.

Yelp
Great place! Amazing food and the restaurant had a nice warm ambiance. The service was also amazing!

Yelp
We love this restaurant! The staff are amazing, so considerate and friendly! The food is always so good. It's our go to spot West Seattle.

Yelp
We love everything about Mioposto for a date night pizza spot. Delicious pizza with an always perfect fire oven baked crust. I enjoy sitting at the bar counter when we don't have the kid and just enjoying the atmosphere and being close to the kitchen action. Pizza options are often changing and feature fresh, in-season ingredients. Always changing, and always delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Another one of our standbys. Great food. I usually have the vegetarian sandwich. It reminds me of my Italian grandmother's southern cooking!! It's a busy place so sometimes you have to wait but have a cocktail and chill. Ambiance is great. Especially in winter.

Hunter K.

Yelp
Some of the most delicious Woodfire pizza you'll find anywhere in Seattle. I love the egg and pancetta as well as the Pinocchio pizza.

Vonnie B.

Yelp
I like this spot a lot; everything I've eaten here, from pizza to veggie sandwich or beet salad, is good. Staff are always pleasant and informative, and the atmosphere is inviting. What more can you ask for?

Sabrina S.

Yelp
This place has always been delicious (the two other times I've been) 12" for $30 after tip, I never minded splurging on. Tonight I got a pizza to go. This pizza gets 0 stars. I cannot believe how thin this is and I like thin pizza. There is not one good thing about this pizza. I haven't decided if I will be back again, unfortunately. Only because think this pizza will remain in my head whenever I debate whether to go or not. I recommend not getting pizza to go.
google avatar

Carla H.

Yelp
It's great here: good food, helpful staff. and for me really close by. They even invite me in when i've been puppy sitting the family dog. What more would i want?

Yelp
Cleanliness on point. Customer service on point. Ambience on point. Margarita Pizza on point!!!! We ordered one of these and a medium Caesar salad. So delicious! We had a great time!

Yelp
We came in for happy hour and also ordered things off the regular menu. It was soo good! Highly recommend. New favorite spot in west Seattle. Got the olives, mussels, clams off happy hour. Delicious! And excellent size for 2 people. I got the prosciutto arugula pizza and he got lasagna. I could probably eat the entire pizza honestly. Loved the ambiance, so cozy too. They have some communal tables but that doesn't bother me. The service could of been a little better but overall good. Definitely coming back

Smith S.

Yelp
Another excellent choice for us neighbors. Regardless of west seattle or Mt. Baker, it was exceptional flavor and choices. Great value.
google avatar

Stacy A.

Yelp
Had a great dinner here tonight! My partner and I ordered two pizzas, one vegetarian potato with truffle oil and the prosciutto with arugula. Both were very well made but the potato was so original and delicious. My partner had the draft pilsner that he gave an A ++, and we ordered the house made tiramasu for dessert. So good! Great local Italian place, wonderful, fast service and they pay their employees well with benefits and a 401k plan. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Alexis B.

Yelp
Amazing food, people and ambiance! Our go to is the sage collins cocktail, pepperoni puncture and beet salads! Can't say enough nice things about this establishment- check it out you will be glad you did!

Luis Z.

Yelp
Try it asap. Great place to go try their pizza, pasta and bread. They always provide great service to their customers and and people love this place.

Ken A.

Yelp
I'm sure this place is pretty good for dining in, but we ordered delivery with DoorDash and it took 2 hours, we were alerted that the pizzas had been picked up at about the 1 hour 45 min mark, and we got it less than ten minutes later, stone cold and crushed. My hunch is the restaurant cooked them when they received the order and let them sit for an hour and a half before they were picked up for delivery. I highly recommend not ordering delivery from here.

Yelp
Once Mioposto announced they were open for limited outdoor and indoor seating, I knew I wanted them to be my first dine in experience since the pandemic closures, since I was impressed with my takeout experience a couple weeks ago. They have a sign for no mask, no entry. It looked like they had some masks available if you didn't bring yours, but plan on bringing it just in case. There are 2 outdoor tables, and they only placed table settings indoors on tables 6 feet apart. You have to wear your mask inside unless you are seated at your table. They have a QR code on the table to use for menu to eliminate waste from single use menus. Cardamom Ginger Gimlet $10.50: This was so refreshing and easy to drink. I think the lime flavor stood out the most over the cocktails namesake, but I typically enjoy gimlets so I still liked it. Panenata $15: The menu description was really intriguing to me. So much so that I was still willing to try it even though they were out of maple syrup, and normally I need sauce for everything. It was an interesting blend of sweet and savory. Having it as it's own entree would be too much for me, but it was nice for sharing. I did end up saving leftovers so I could try it with maple syrup at home, and think it's better as it was intended. Half Pepperoni Puntura / Half Spring Lamb $22: They do accommodate half/half requests, and just charge whichever side is more expensive. Other than the very center of the pizza, the crust was really crispy. I think the middle was just a bit soggy due to all the toppings. The pepperoni side was interesting to have the honey cut into the saltiness. I ended up not liking the spring lamb side as much because I'm picky when it comes to sausage. Of all 4 pizzas toppings I've tried, Prosciutto e Arugula remains my favorite so far. Spicy Tutto Calabria Oil $2: I like to dip my crust in oil and vinegar, so I ordered this in lieu of olive oil. I didn't really taste much flavor so I ended up just using vinegar. I felt the price for this portion of sauce was a little high, so probably won't order it on the side again. I would be open to trying another pizza with a Tutto Calabria sauce base. ***** My Star Ratings: 1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars - Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already. 5 Stars - AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here.

Yelp
Mioposto was a nice find! I've seen it in the Ravenna neighborhood so we decided to try it out when we were in West Seattle. The Bianca pizza was very delicious! My daughter's chicken sandwich was large and moist. Great little joint!

Yelp
Came here in a group of three for a birthday. Laszlo was our server and he did a great job! One member of our party ordered a cocktail that contained sage and raved over it after someone one table over suggested it. We ordered salads (caesar and arugula) and enjoyed both- the greens for the caesar could have been a bit fresher but overall no complaints- pretty average. Pizza here is good, really enjoyed the crust, toppings, and sauce- all strong there, save for amounts- pizza could have used more sauce and more toppings but that's easily remedied by requesting extra next time. Topping quantity aside, only two minor complaints: the lemon zest added to the pies that wasn't requested was a bit odd (did the build your own pie option), and we ordered one of the pies gluten free. When the food arrived, we caught very quickly that it was not gluten free (looked exactly the same as the gluten-containing pies, which is never the case for GF). We politely corrected the order and the staff did hustle to get the replacement out fast, which was appreciated. The tables are pretty close together, but it's a small place so that's understandable. Overall, other than a few minor details this was enjoyable and will be back.

Yelp
I recently had a fabulous time at HH with my daughter thanks to the great service that Sarah provided. Sarah was friendly, and went above and beyond to make our experience great. I was visiting from out of town and Sarah was a gem. I highly recommend Mioposto dining experience in W Seattle - make sure you ask for Sarah. She was great.

Yelp
It was an adorable little restaurant on the side of the road! Was not excepting how hot this pizza was going to be!! But totally worth it!

Yelp
We had dinner here tonight with friends. The service was outstanding and the best. I had the eggplant parmigiana and it was delicious! My husband enjoyed the lasagna. Our friends one of the sandwiches and a pizza. Everything including the bread was delicious. Attentive service! We will return.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, good customer service, good drinks and food. One of my favorite spots to go an enjoy dinner.

Yelp
Very good wood fire pizza place with amazing lasagna.. we stopped there one sunday evening and the place wasnt busy at all.. ambience super nice and welcoming.. lots of space..staff is nice.. plenty of street parking around.. Well now the food.. we ordered the lasagna this was really delicious and fresh tomatoes you could tell it from the flavors.. we then ordered the spring lamb and pinochio pizzas and both the pizzas were great i liked the spring lamb a tad more than the pinocchio just cos of the pesto basil it tasted really good.. unfortunately i did not have time to try their desserts but will stop by again to dry their desserts.. good spot in california ave area..

Yelp
This is my new favorite W Sea spot. We've been here twice and both times I enjoyed the whole experience. Started with good cocktails, good Caesar salad, and good thin Italian style pizza. The pizza sauce is a little sweet, but in a good/unique way. I also love the vibe of this restaurant - it feels like a big community gathering spot with all the tables scrunched close together European style and one big, communal table in the middle where a bit group or multiple parties can sit. Good food, not too fancy - just right for a Friday night pizza fix.
google avatar

Dexter J.

Yelp
Wonderful, family friendly restaurant with excellent food and probably the best happy hour menu in West Seattle. Service is always great too and they are quick with drinks. Really great place.
google avatar

Yelp
Great alternative to a French toast. Had chunks of apple and bread, crispier than a regular French toast. Definitely recommend trying if you're looking for a sweet option for breakfast or brunch!
google avatar

Cathy W.

Yelp
Great pizzas and salads! The West Seattle location is small. We often order takeout so we don't have to wait.

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place. Mioposto Pizza is my go to pizza place! The cozy ambiance, friendly staff, and incredible flavors make it a must-visit. Their Zucca Balsamica pizza is a true delight. Every bite is bursting with flavor. The attention to detail and high-quality ingredients set Mioposto apart. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I was surprised when Mioposto came to North Admiral as we already had a brick oven pizzeria and a number of other pizzeria venues. Somehow they've fit in and seem to be busy. Of benefit is their location. A nice brick building that is the last restaurant heading North on California. It's well decorated and has a nice ambience inside including a large glimmering painting of horses on the wall. (I think one of the horses is missing a leg.) I like meat so the Pinocchio is the pizza for me. The crust is crisp yeasty with a light sweetness. When I'm in for cheese, I love the Quattro Formaggi with milled tomatoes. I don't like clams here as much as some of my friends do as I prefer a red sauce with my bivalves. The lasagna is quite good. Baked in the same brick oven as the pizza. Service has been solid.

Yelp
Finally able to dine at Mioposto after a couple failed attempts due to my impatience of not wanting to wait for over 1 hour for a table, I was really pleased! A friend chose Mioposto to celebrate her birthday. A couple of us got together with her. We shared their antipasti plate of goat cheese, olive tapenade, agro dolce, roasted and marinated eggplant, prosciutto and arugula with bread. The cheese was really good and the prosciutto was perfection. I got the lamb pizza, which comes with onion, goat cheese (had a lot of goat cheese that night), roasted red peppers and mint. I really liked the lamb; I ended up picking off the peppers. The mozzarella was divine. A friend got a pepperoni pie while the other ordered lasagna. The person who ordered the pepperoni commented that the crust was a bit burnt but frankly I think he wasn't use to a wood fired crust; it didn't look burnt to me but I wasn't eating it either. The server offered a free dessert to the birthday girl, so she got tiramisu and loved it. I ordered their apple crostada and asked for the vanilla ice cream to be on the side because it was freezing cold in there. As soon as I ordered it that way, I realized how illogical that was. Go figure. Mioposto is decorated in a really pleasing way. It's a small dining area with a couple booths, a few tables and a long communal table in the center. Their bar has sports going but not loudly. The lighting is cool. There's a giant horse mural on one wall that is pretty sweet. Parking in this neighborhood sucks, but that is West Seattle for you. If you can't find a spot on the street, because there is no lot here, drive up the road to Safeway and park there then walk a couple blocks. Our waiter/server was also that night's bartender. He kept good tabs on us even though he was wearing multiple hats. Food: 4 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 Parking: 2

Yelp
The service was fantastic; not too much, not too little. Our server, Amanda, made great recommendations for drinks, salad, and pizza. My daughter loved the beet salad as did I and my mom. We also had delicious pizza and dessert. The atmosphere and ambience were spot on. Nice enough for a date night with a dressier style but casual enough to have kids join you for dinner. We will definitely come back on our next Seattle trip.

Yelp
Man, I love Mioposto for dinner but brunch was incredible. Honestly can't believe how blown away we were by the food. We love their pizza and the brunch options were just perfect. Morning service was a little hectic (one server) but she was super friendly and helpful. We got the Stromboli (basically a margherita pizza with eggs, caramelized onions and potato folded in half). It was delicious, I think it could have used a bit more sauce but it wasn't dry by any means. It wasn't overwhelming salty or anything, a bit on the blander side but still good. My favorite was the pananata (chopped up French toast topped with apple cinnamon and powdered sugar). It was SO GOOD. I know at some point I'll have to use other words but words are escaping me. It wasn't too sweet, but sweet enough that I didn't need syrup. I literally ate the whole plate because despite my gf saying it was good, she isn't a huge fan of sweets....and I tried to tell myself to not eat it all but my self control isn't too strong. We opted for no pancetta and they didn't have any subs but it was fine. Also ordered a coffee and a side of hashbrowns (gf said hashbrowns were really good). Price point was good. Not expensive at all and super affordable. Our new favorite brunch spot and right down the street!
