Went to mirror twin brewing for our monthly book club (lex book and sip club) book party and had such an incredible time. The drinks were fantastic and the atmosphere was so inviting and fun. Would definitely go again!

Mirror Twin Brewing and Rolling Oven are a perfect pairing! This destination is a must-visit! Fabulous beers and delicious wood-fired pizza made for a perfect meal. A very friendly waitress answered our questions and helped us with our beer selections. We enjoyed a flight featuring a variety of sours, stouts, and pilsners—French Toast was the unanimous favorite at our table! After choosing our beers, we made our way down the counter to order food, starting with the whipped feta appetizer—tangy, drizzled with honey, and spread over crisp crostini—absolute heaven! The Fat Sticks, a meaty wood-fired pizza with a marinara dipping sauce, were a hit, and the loaded potato pizza had the perfect balance of crispy crust, soft potatoes, and bold flavors. Today, it was the perfect cozy retreat from the relentless rain, but we can’t wait to come back on a sunny day to enjoy the amazing patio with a cold beer in hand. Highly recommend! Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time! Explore everything!!

3/15/25 First time here as we came for our date night out. With the pouring rain, it wasn’t as busy as Google said it would be based of the reviews. We ordered a variety flight of beers to try, and ordered a pizza from rolling oven. There were st Patrick’s day speciality drinks, some slushy options. But the downfall is you can’t try any before you buy them like you can with beer. So that’s a bummer since the slushy drink we got was just way too sweet and not that good. We got the green gummy bear, maybe next time I’ll stick to just the beer. I did enjoy the various IPA’s and my husband was disappointed as there weren’t much Pilsner options. Overall this place is nice and big, and would be great for large groups.

Best French Toast in America. The sausage gravy breakfast pizza is really great too. Pair those two selections with an I house brewed beer and you can't lose!

Google
This is a favorite of the Old Guys Pub Crawl. We always also visit the Void, next door, for sake.We really love the vibe of this place. Yea, that's right, I'm mid 70s and used the word vibe. It means they serve beer and us old guys drink beer. We'll be doing that vibe thing again soon. Feel free to join us if you find us. Beer.

Went out to Mirror Twin one night for a date. Place always has a great vibe and the service is always amazing with the staff being incredibly friendly. I tried their Wheezing the Juice breakfast variant which was delicious. I've always been a fan of the other versions of Wheezing the Juice. I also tried their Echoes in the Dark, which was a cask aged barley wine. Liked it so much that I decided to bring home several cans. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Google
What a great place! Casual atmosphere, perfect place to wind down after work. You order your food and beer separately at the counter, that’s a little different, but they are 2 different companies, so makes sense. Then you pick your table and someone will bring your food out. I ordered the wings with the sweet thai chili glaze and they were so good and juicy they fell off the bone. Rolling oven may have the best wings in town! There were so many pizza options but ended up getting a pepperoni (this time) and it was very good.

Google
This is a great place to grab a drink, eat some food, and relax. There's plenty of outdoor and indoor space. I came for both brunch and dinner on different days, and had flights or tastes of almost all the beers available during my two visits. The brewers know what they are doing and have something for everyone. I was impressed with some of the unique and subtle flavors they put together and if I lived in the area, I'm sure this would be my go-to brewery. That's saying something considering the company they hold here in Lexington. If you're looking for something new to try, chances you will find something you like here.

Yelp
Wow! In town for a concert, had a bit of time to kill. Hadn't even heard of Mirror Twin Brewing . We tried 5 beers in a flight, a couple of which I consider novelty beers - I wasn't really expecting a beer that tastes like French Toast to be a good beer. All 5 beers were very well done. Their experimental / seasonal side of the list is absolutely worth exploring. I didn't catch the guy behind the bar, who just referred to himself as 'the hillbilly', but he was awesome, and made our visit even better. A friend got a sandwich from the in-house restaurant and said it great as well. I'm not in Lexington often, but this place is on my list of spots I'd go back to!

Yelp
Ventured to this establishment on Sunday 3/16/25 with a group of 8 for their Music Trivia night. This was my first time in the business. They have two different buildings which have an outdoor patio (with covered tables) in the center. Very spacious, both indoors and outdoors. I ordered a Sprite and the remainder of my party tried the "Green Beer" for St. Patrick's Day and the various Ciders they offer. All parties enjoyed their drinks. The remainder of my party also ordered cheese pizza and double fire roasted potato skins and loved it all. Sharon was the main staff person who assisted us during our time at the establishment and she was stellar! Super nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Had a great time playing the music trivia with friends. Highly recommend for large groups, small groups, or individuals alike!

Yelp
Beer was drinkable. Nothing stellar. The pizza was edible, but honestly, it reminded me of a very cheap frozen pizza that I would cook for my son when he was 8. One slice of a small was enough for me (and I was VERY hungry).

Yelp
Stopped in this evening for a couple drinks and to celebrate Mirror Twin's 8th Anniversary week. The garage doors were up and the evening weather was perfect. A lot of patrons brought their dogs to enjoy the evening. We tried a few new beers and what I ordered were very good. I started out with Cryo-Hopped, then had the Very Hazy, Very Demure and finished off with the Obi-Wan Kenobean. I was surprised by the flavor of all these beers. I also tried the Just One More, which missed the mark for me.

Yelp
Lots of seating. Parking can be tough to find on weekends but usually are able to get a spot. Great variety of beers to choose from. Pizza is good but not huge portions. Appetizers are tasty. Definitely a good spot to get drinks with friends and play games or chat. Staff is attentive and friendly.

Yelp
There are 2 sides, one side has the brewery and pizzeria, the other side offers cocktails and brunch. Service is great, they offer lots of different beers. Pizzas are made in a big brick oven, hand tossed, quick turnaround. The brewery is pet friendly, there are generally always a few dogs inside.

Yelp
Another great afternoon at Mirror Twin! I love coming here and making friends with all the puppies! This place is so dog-friendly and so great in the weather!

Yelp
We were looking for a place for food and beer and this checked both of those boxes. We ordered our beers and pizza at the counter. They weren't particularly friendly when we asked about the beer options, but the beers were tasty! I later learned when I went to the Red River Gorge that Mirror Twin is one of the main breweries in the area that has high quality IPAs. And indeed I did enjoy the IPA. The pizzas have interesting toppings - lots of different meat and starch options on the pizzas. My friend had the wings and she said they were easily one of the best wings that she's ever had - great flavor and very tender.
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
The beer is really good! The food is, too! The people working there are always pleasant in my experience. The wings... damn. They're cooked in the same style oven they use for pizza... the big domes. Fall off the bone. The potato skins. A meal. The arugula salad. Sure. Eat healthy at a brewery. Why not! There are three different buildings and they each have their own vibe. The first one is the original brewery. It is ... a brewery. With a pizza place. Dogs, babies, humans, all welcome. You get beer and pizza there. The second... more like a casual restaurant/bar. Sometimes there are servers, I think. But the menu has more selection and they serve wine and spirits. No dogs, but babies allowed. The 3rd building housed their meadery which they've sadly closed. But they still have some mead left. Go drink some. It's good. I hear they're going to do new things in this space. Oh, and, there's a huge outdoor space with tents for shade and shelter. And, you can order any of the food in any of the spaces and they'll bring it to you. It's a fun, thriving business and you should go there. Cheers!

Yelp
Really lively brewery with a lot of fun beer options as well as other fun cocktails! The pizza is give 3.5/5 but it does the trick if you're looking for something to have alongside your drink. I'm not a huge beer fan so I ordered a blueberry smash (a vodka based cocktail) and it was really lovely! Given that it was trivia night when my friends and I went, it was quite loud and the service took a bit long. However, we all had a good time and will likely come back again!

Yelp
My favorite brewery out of the 7 we visited in Lexington! This place is huge with 2 separate buildings and a large outdoor area in between. They have a full bar in the 2nd building as well as food out of both buildings. The food was decent but the beer is the main reason for my visit to any brewery. They had 20 beers on tap in the main taproom as well as the same + a few additional in the 2nd building. All the IPA's I tried (which was all of them) were good & some were great. Hazy but Lazy and Turnin Heads were my favorites. We stopped back in for a 2nd visit later in our trip. Highly recommend.

Greg ..

Yelp
Always a great selection of ever-changing beers, and good appetizers as well! And the covered outside seating is nice.

Yelp
First time visiting. Nice Friday night atmosphere. Bartenders were great! Also ordered pizza from Rolling Oven.. 3 snaps in a circle. Had a couple of champagne Rita's, a slush and an apple ale. Solid round of drinks. Had the sweet Thai chili pizza and it hit the spot. Not my usual Friday night, but lots of fun!
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
Beer was great, good variety. They had soda as well for those nondrinkers and awesome bloody Marys. The pizza was good, slight spice kick sauce, cooked perfectly. The friends raved about french toast with Bourbon maple syrup. Parking was a pain as 1/2 the lot was under water during the rain and some deep ditches. Only 1 bartender so the line got long @ noon Sunday

Amelia R.

Yelp
Last time I was in, "Chris" who apparently was the manager when I was there I observed had a bad attitude and unkind to patrons and coworkers alike. Haven't been back since.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
If the weather is nice, highly recommend coming here with friends! We ordered the avocado bruschetta skins which were great. Then we ordered the Bourbon BBQ and the Buffalo chicken pizzas- both great!! Seating is first come first serve but lots of picnic tables available.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
A great choice for pizza and beer with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The beer selection is excellent with lost of variety and even a cider on tap. The pizza is great but a little pricey.
google avatar

Derrick B.

Yelp
Stopped in last weekend and the place was super busy, but there's tons of space so we quickly found a tables. There's two sides to the brewery, so if there isn't seating on one side, head outside and cross the courtyard to the other side. I didn't get to try a lot of the beer, but the pizza was fantastic. Personally, I think it's a bit pricey at $28 a pie and you could likely find pizza equally as good for half the cost, but the atmosphere and beer selection makes up for it. There's a huge parking lot on the side of the building, so easy parking options.
google avatar

Yelp
Great beers, best brewery in Lexington hands down. Everything was quality, great service, and great selection of beers on tap. Vibe is fantastic and the pizza is fire.

Yelp
Exceptionally tasty beer! A friend and I stopped in one Sunday afternoon on the way back to Louisville from Cumberland Falls. We were eager for a break in our drive for food and drink and stretching our legs. Mirror Twin has been on my radar for a while and the day had finally come for me to visit them. Pandemic restrictions were starting to lift, but people were still wearing masks when leaving their tables, and indoor seating was nicely spread out. They have a nice amount of outdoor seating outside in between the two buildings of the brewery. A flight comes with 5 choices of beer. They have a broad variety of beer types, with fun and funny names. Topical, local, just an extra smile on top of it all. The beers I chose to sample were You Me and Mr OB, Cherry On My Wayward Son, Don't Put Gasoline in Bags, Slim Shandy, and Bee Sting. They were all great! Which is not something I can usually say about a place. There aren't usually 5 different beers that are basically perfect for my palate and taste preferences. I felt confident in bringing home a four pack of a beer I didn't get to try, because the other ones I did get to try were exactly what I wanted them to taste like! It did not disappoint! And any beer under, I believe, 8% ABV can be canned and sold for carry out individually. I brought a LOT of beer home with me... Mirror Twin alone is worth a visit to Lexington! I wish they were closer to me, but I cannot wait to return!

Yelp
Excellent draft list. Pizza on-site which is actually good. Plenty of seating in 2 buildings and The Annex is across the street. Highly recommend if you're in Lexington and love craft beer.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is awesome. Beautiful brewery with an amazing outdoor area. Beers are phenomenal and the rolling kitchen pizza has outstanding wings and pizza offerings. Go there!
google avatar

Phillip F.

Yelp
This is my favorite brewery in Lexington KY. Last week they had three kinds of hoppy beer. The pizzas are good. I am not a fan of their tomato sauce. Wings were very large and did not have an option for blue cheese my favorite. I will go back for beer!
google avatar

Klara C.

Yelp
Really good beer and lots of seating both indoor and out. There is some food on site, Rolling Oven I believe. We ordered a flight of beer: Red Blooded American - Pretty good red Ale, a little lighter than normal red Ales in my opinion but easy to drink. Ds Nutty Brown Ale - definitely a food nutty flavor and aptly named. Not heavy at all and quite good. You, Me & Mr. PB - great peanut butter flavor and also pretty easy to drink. Porchata - my favorite out of the 4, definitely tastes like a rumchata in beer form. Definitely recommend. Food on site was good, we ordered a pizza and prosciutto wrapped Asparagus. Cool spot and would recommend. They have slushees here too. We had a sour apple slushee that kind of tastes like an apple holy rancher.
google avatar

Kristin B.

Yelp
May be the best pizza in Lexington! A unique idea - two bars across from each other with many beers to choose from on both sides and a full bar on one side. The make oven fresh pizzas which are very good. Think crispy crust. There's plenty of table space indoors and outdoors and it is dog friendly which is a huge bonus. Great for small intimate get togethers or large parties. Even great for a quick beer after work. Definitely worth checking out!
google avatar

Cathy F.

Yelp
We loved this brewery! There are 2 buildings and a very nice patio in the middle. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a few beers, the D's Nutty Brown Ale, Whatever You Want Wheat, and the Red Blooded American. All were fantastic. Our daughter got the Watermelon Moscato slushee and said it was really good too. They have a good selection of appetizers, sandwiches, and wood fired pizzas, but we didn't have time to eat there. Maybe next time! There were a lot of families with young kids there having a good time. All of the bartenders were very nice.
google avatar

Yelp
I recently went to Mirror Twin for their weekly Wednesday night trivia. I had never been here before so I was excited to try some drinks and eats. I got "In the Wheat of the Moment" and it was delicious. I'm honestly not a beer drinker, but I liked it a lot. For food, we got an artichoke appetizer and Cuban sandwiches. The appetizer was okay. As were the Cuban sandwiches. I've heard their pizza is good here so maybe we will try that next time. Our service was wonderful. They had two servers; one for food and one for drinks. Both of our servers were lovely and very attentive. Parking for Mirror Twin is easy since they have their own parking area. However, when it is busy, you will have to opt for street parking or another parking area nearby.
google avatar

Yelp
I love Mirror Twin! Such a fun atmosphere. We got the Rolling Over Supreme pizza with arugula, chorizo, prosciutto, mushroom, tomato, and olives. It was very flavorful and the perfect amount of toppings! I also got the Wheezing the Juice sour- not my absolute favorite but still a great pair with the pizza!
google avatar

Heather F.

Yelp
This was a nice stop. Lots of seating and a lot of different options on tap. We had already eaten or we would have tried the pizza. We sat inside because of the heat, but the patio was a good looking option. We will try to go back hungry to try the pizza next time!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place lots of fun, delicious food the ambience was fine and entertaining. The service was fabulous fast caring

Yelp
The pizza is amazing, the beer is delicious and the ambience is fantastic. One of my favorite places to go in Lexington.

Yelp
Great beer-service and environment! We tried the new years ipa and s'mores stout-amazing!!

Yelp
This is a really cool brewery that is fairly new to the area. They've got two buildings. If you're staring at both of them from across the street, the one on the left is the restaurant where they serve brunch. The one on the right also has pizza, but has all the brews and is dog-friendly. We ordered our breakfast pizzas at the one on the left and then they brought it out to us as we sipped on some beer in the taproom. My friends for the potato, chorizo, and egg pizza, honey ham pizza, and I got the maple bacon pizza. They all looked the same, presentation-wise, but it all tasted unique and very good! Staff was amazing as well! I got You, Me, and Mr. PB. It's a wonderful stout with a slight taste of peanut butter. My sister got the Hop Tart, a sour. Water is free. Prices were great! You can watch games here, so we watched a bit of the Ohio State game while we sat. It's family-friendly which is cool. It's also very low-key here, but we came during the day and it was pretty tame. They've got women's and men's bathrooms. There's a parking lot in between the buildings, but there's also lots of parallel parking around here.
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
I stopped by on a Monday night to watch the UK Basketball game with a friend. They ordered a cider and I ordered the blonde stout. My friend said they enjoyed their beer and I enjoyed mine. Tons-- TONS of seating (inside and outside) spanning across (at least, from what I saw) two buildings. Staff was kind as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Updating my review to reflect the recent pleasant customer service I have had at Mirror Twin. I would like to thank the manager Chris for taking the time to talk to me about my past experiences at Mirror Twin and apologize for the inconvenience. As I stated in my previous review, the beer here (especially sours) are damn good. The pizza is too. With new releases every Monday, Mirror Twin is sure to have something to please everyone. There's a reason this place is hard to stay away from! Make sure to say hi to Chris while enjoying your beer
google avatar

Cristy G.

Yelp
I came here with the Lex on Tap tours, therefor we got a tour of where and how they made their beers! Our tour guide was very informative! After we got the tour we were seated in our reserved area for the UK game. The seating was so comfortable and set up perfectly for our large group. A couple of my friends decided to get pizza. Although the pizza was delicious, it took over an hour for them to bring it out to us.

Yelp
Upon accepting a brunch invitation, I was able to experience the ambiance that was Mirror Twin Brewing. I first guessed that it was called mirror twin because there were two actual buildings divided by a parking lot, but later learned it had something to do with the brewing process. Upon entering, the environment was open, clean, and pleasant. The employees were friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and beer. There were a few tables reserved for a baby shower and I thought that was a cool idea to host a shower there. Never would have thought to do that. All in all, the food was really good. There were a lot of selections that included egg, though. I ordered a fruit pizza and it was yummy. The best part of the experience was that I had fun with my new acquaintances. It was an opportunity to laugh loudly, tell personal stories, encourage one another, and learn about new apps. I'd encourage you to do the same. Invite a few friends and stop by this trendy location.

Debbie S.

Yelp
Great beer, great service - would definitely visit again! Perfect for large gatherings.
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
Always such a good time here! We hang out with our friends here and love that we can hang out outside or inside depending on the weather. Parking is a little limited, but there is street parking available as well. There's plenty of seating to go around!
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
A fun, open space with lots of seating in a growing part of town. Lots of good variety on their beer menu, and man are their pizzas delicious
google avatar

Katia S.

Yelp
Amazing place and delicious beer. The concept of mirror twins who founded the place also adds to the ambiance (they have 2 mirrored buildings ). Very unique and interesting flavors and combinations of the brews. They also have the most delicious pizza in town, so you sure won't leave hungry nor thirsty. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
They are doing a really good job with the social distancing during this pandemic. I felt safe in the main dining area. They also had a huge tent between their buildings with outdoor seating and heaters. Family friendly and dog friendly establishment

Connie H.

Yelp
So impressed with this brewery! On our way back to Raleigh after visiting St Louis for our daughter's graduation. So many beer selections! Chocolate peanut butter stout so crazy busy for a Monday night!

Riley S.

Yelp
Nice restaurant, just be ready to wait forever for your food. Food came almost an hour after ETA. The time for wait was already long and it was extremely late. Awful service.
google avatar

Dee H.

Yelp
Not much to add that hasn't been said. Will stick to location and beer since pizza can be reviewed separately. Indoor area has great vibe - very welcoming, open, and fun. Outside space has tons of room and easy to hang, drink and eat. Would love to see some comfier seating added, maybe some outdoor games. Especially those of us who walk from the surrounding neighborhood would love options on the random weeknight trip that was a picnic table. Beer options galore. I've tried two things on each visit with the results being mixed. One so-so option and one great option. At least my picking is consistent. Looking forward to the next visit to try two more new tastes!
google avatar

Kathryn M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Grab a flight, a pizza and some good company for a great week night reset. They have a delicious selection of stouts and NEIPAS, amongst other types of beers. One recommendation for them is to add a curbside bike rack since they are in a part of town where biking places is easy in the Chevy chase area!
google avatar

Daphne A.

Yelp
It's hard to pick a favorite beer place in Lexington because they're all unique and have some great things going for them. Mirror Twin has the vibe I'm looking for - friendly, lots of options, delicious food and an open area that is approachable. Mirror Twin has lots of beers to choose from with a lot of kitschy names. Bar tenders will let you try sips of whatever you want and give you suggestions. Usually there are a healthy amount of Mirror Twins own brews and guest brews/rotating taps. Tonight I didn't see any visiting brews but opted for the Tangerine Monster and was really happy with it. I really like to end my night on cider (I know, I know this a brewery for beer) so I was somewhat disappointed they didn't have one tonight but I recall they usually do. Lots of families and doggos around and sports on the TV. We got our pizza quickly and quick service at the bar! Every time I've been here, every seat at the actual bar is full and that's usually where I prefer to sit - maybe one day I'll catch an open seat. It seems to have a good sense of "regulars" so maybe they get first pick! :) Juries still out which I like the best but this one is definitely in the running!
