Mischief - Review - Le Marais - Paris - The Infatuation

"Plenty of Paris restaurants dabble in nostalgia, but that version looks and tastes very different at Mischief, the cheeky sister restaurant of Reyna. On a simple level, the pitch is comfort food that spans the cultures and styles the chef grew up with and encountered while traveling, served in an industrial-chic space that could easily be a Rick Owens runway show set. But what comes out of the open kitchen (where you should request to dine to watch the team work) is both punchy in the flavor department and playful. French onion soup in spring rolls and oyster po’ boys that come stuffed into a bao instead of a bread roll are fun, shareable starters. The excellent pressed lamb dish collides with phở, which is done here in a reduced broth and served on rice noodles, topped with a chili pepper chimichurri for a kick. And most fun and unusual is the homage to spaghetti-O’s—hand-rolled pasta swimming in a bone marrow and anchovy sauce, available in limited quantities." - Lindsey Tramuta

Not your typical French fusion. You can tell that everything was prepared with care and the attention to detail was impressive which I admire. We experienced different flavors within one dish. All in all the food tasted as good as it's presentation. The service was excellent. If you are in Paris this the place not just to try but to go to time and time again.

Mischief in Paris is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t just serve food, it serves attitude, confidence, and a whole lot of cool. The moment you walk in, the sleek, modern atmosphere sets the tone: stylish without trying too hard. It’s a space that feels effortlessly chic, and that energy clearly comes from the top. The female chef leading the kitchen is undeniably cool, creative, composed, and completely in command of her kitchen. The menu is full of surprises, but three dishes steal the show. The Spaghetti-O’s are a brilliant, nostalgic wink delivered with gourmet precision, comforting, & clever. The oyster po’boy is a standout, balancing crisp, briny oysters with just the right punch of seasoning. And then there’s the fried chicken with butter sauce, a dish that hits every pleasure point: crunchy, tender, & rich. Mischief lives up to its name; it’s fun, bold, and deliciously rebellious. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable meal in Paris, guided by a chef who clearly knows how to break the rules and make it taste amazing

After loving Reyna (chef Erica’s first Paris restaurant), I was so excited to try Mischief and it did not disappoint!!! Super fun flavors in creative and unique dishes. Standouts were the langoustine ravioli, pressed lamb in pho sauce, and the mochi salted caramel popcorn dessert, but everything was fantastic!! 172€ for 2 entrées, 2 plats, 2 desserts, 1 bottle of wine, 1 bottle of sparkling water. Strongly recommend!!!!

Went there tonight with my better half, and this was such a great experience on all levels. First, a very professional staff, be the one on the floor, or in the kitchen. Then the open kitchen where everything is happening, cool folks, very professional, seasoned with the occasional Oui Chef, or the Chaud Chaud Chaud. With my wife, we love good food that doesn't come with pretentious atmosphere, and this subtle blend of quality food, and minute preparation was amazing. The only one thing you will not see, is the playlist, 80s/90s hip-hop and r&b, carefully curated. And of course, amazing atmosphere and amazing design one street down from where I live and hangout. Tip: for those like me who love being at the bar and watch the kitchen in action, the seat at the end on the right is the best seat of the house! 10/10

Mischief has been open for barely a month and I’ve already been back twice with two different sets of friends who all raved about every dish. And I have another reservation to celebrate my birthday there (if that doesn’t tell you how much I love it lol) I love Erica’s cooking, and have been a return customer to her first baby Reyna since she opened it! So happy that she has a new spot and Mischief is different but still the same flavors and excellent execution Love the polenta fries, lumpia, and steak, but in general everything was a hit. Definitely try it if you want something different and delicious.

Mischief blew me away! It was so good! The dessert we had was especially amazing easily the best dessert I ever had — beautifully crafted, rich, and bursting with flavor. Whilst I'm not vegetarian myself I went for the collyflower main and it was great. The service was top-notch, and every staff member was warm and welcoming. A perfect mix of creativity and comfort. Can’t wait to return!
