I stopped here for a late night bite. The National Hockey game was on, and the audio was very loud. Staff was very busy but also extremely friendly. I got the newer Cooper Belly Burger. It was a pretty hearty burger. The pork belly slices were very thick and cooked to perfection. This was a great compliment to the burger and fresh roll. Fries could have used some salt, but i also didn't try asking if they had any. My friend got a salmon salad: They said it was flavorful and lovely. It's a great place with a lot of options, esp after 9pm

The theme was interesting, and the place had good airflow to stay nice and chill. Three bartenders behind the bar, and I watched a corner sit littered with finished drinks for about 10 minutes. I'd like to say it was busy, but I was 1 of 12 people in the place. I wasn't carded when I ordered my drink, and the bar top was too dirty for the current climate. Aside from that, I had to refrain from setting anything on top of the bar as the surface was grossly sticky. Again, 3 bartenders and the bar weren't even wiped down. That being said, on the 3, only one seemed to be actually working. A larger woman, whose name i wish I had gotten. She was doing more than the other two and trying to be attentive. The other 2 were just there, I guess. I sat waiting for another drink for about 15 minutes before I started typing a review. I can't even say they were busy. All three were there talking and laughing. I had enough time to write a review about my experience. Honestly, I could've walked out, but I still waited long enough to pay my bill for 1 drink and some shrimp. They didn't even take my debit card when I ordered. I do wanna say that the shrimp was delicious and the remi sauce was a phenomenal 10/10. The napkin was what I wiped up from the bar under my plate as I was eating. I wouldn't bother going.

Let's start with the good. The bartender Kevin is the best, he's attentive to all of the customers and makes a great drink. The chicken fingers are really good. The bad- they allow non service dogs to sit at the bar. I personally observed a dog drinking water from a glass the owner was holding. Although , there were PLENTY of tables outside no one asked the customers to take their dog outside. I won't be back.

A good place to be if you are in the area and looking for a late night food and drink option. I went here eventually after a few other places were only serving drinks after 10pm. Here I not only could get a versatile selection of draught beers but I could also get my favorite Guinness. The pub fare of apps, burgers and pizza were enough for us to make a memorable evening out here!

The restaurant is conveniently located and our server (Alexander) was attentive and friendly. The food was meh. We ordered the calamari with saffron aioli that was advertised on their scrolling screen above the bar. Nope. Not available as "oh that thing is so old and out of date." Ok, the server suggested a spicy dip instead and we moved on. The calamari was overcooked and the generous portion was artificially padded by adding fried cauliflower and broccoli so 10 pieces of calamari and 20 pieces of fried veg. Fortunately the broccoli and cauliflower were actually pretty tasty, better than the cauliflower. We ordered 2 entrees, the Misconduct burger with fries and the chicken sliders with fries (and a side of mayo I never got). They cook the burgers to medium well which is unfortunate but ok, that means that the burger is going to be drier and denser and needs the topping and sauces and bun to compensate. Nope, hard dry burger with passable fries. The sliders we completely unremarkable. The ranch dressing was the best part of the sandwich. Nothing was seasoned. I will say that the chicken was nicely fried and juicy. Unfortunately it was bland. There wasn't salt or pepper at the table or I would have seasoned it myself. Here is where I could make a pithy comment about the only misconduct at the tavern was serving sub-par food. Lunch cost $50 plus tip

What a gem of a place. Friendly staff, very well priced and tasty hamburgers along with a very solid beer menu. Atmosphere is open and relaxed. Will be a very frequented meetup spot with my friends

We had a tremendous experience at this Tavern and our waitress Nate was super fantastic. He made me some mixed drink with vodka, lime and something lavender. It was well made. And yes, Leah enjoyed the experience as well with her drink. I personally loved the layout for the Tavern and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the restrooms and the seating arrangements in the space. Overall a terrific experience right in the heart of the city.

Loved the flat beard and the staff welcome and service. Food really tasted fresh and was quicker than expected on a busy day. Outside seatings are the best for any local cafe and this one adds to being one on the bucket list. Very spacious with enough room for a team event too. Limited menu but quality is always better than quantity ...

Going to start with the positives; Staff was friendly and attentive, Food was delicious and well prepared, music was fun and the draft beer was perfect. A nice early lunch. On the flip side the decor is dated and worn. The table finish was a bit distressed and I noticed the laminate underneath the main bar top was separated and hanging in places. More concerning is the floor laminate adjacent to the main bar is worn and lifting up in places causing a trip hazard. This is not an urban dive bar so I expected more. The impression is a business that might not be pushing cash into the environment. That being said the food, staff and very fair prices might encourage a return visit for lunch.

A group of us came here after dinner one night, for drink/chatting. We didn't try the food so no opinions there. While I liked nothing I drank, I really liked the vibe. The staff was friendly, the bouncer flirty, the bar was packed and loud, but we didn't mind that. If you want cosy quiet, this isn't the bar for you. I probably wouldn't bring a date here but it's good for friends, couples or groups!

Allarah was a fantastic bartender. She asked questions and made great recommendations, she even danced! I highly recommend this bar, but I even more highly recommend Allarah. Thanks for a great time!

Stopped in here while I was in Philly to catch the Eagles game. It's a very local crowd and has a great vibe to the place. The place has plenty of seating and TV's to watch the game. We ordered a couple of different appetizers but they came out sporadically and we had to remind our server about one of our items. The chicken wings were good and the drinks were good too. Unless you are sitting at the bar you could be forgotten about. But a great place to watch sports and catch the game.

Awesome food and wine for a tavern. Got the salmon slider: it's not salmon cake, no batter just pan fried salmon. Portion is just right. Bauer family rose from Austria was a pleasant surprise. Good window seat for people/city watching. 12 o clock came the bar started to get full, seemed to be occupied by Comcast patrons. The bartender is super characteristic and fun!

Hung out here with a few coworkers, first time for each of us but a friend from in town told us to check it out. I noticed the huge bar in the middle of space, tables and chairs throughout for dining and the bar was lit up while the rest of the tavern was very dim. We sat at the tables and started with a round of local beers; Bells, IPA, Victory Golden and Youngling. Everyone enjoyed their beers. We ordered appetizers to snack; mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, fries and the house burger. The food was average but did the job. I really enjoyed the beers more. The wait staff was really cool and patience with us. The bill was cheaper than I expected. We walked from our hotel so I assume it considered the downtown area. We had a great time.

This was an impromptu visit with my friend and it ended up being one of the best nights out I've had in a long time! When my friend and I first entered, we knew it was going to be packed because it was Center City Sips. There was no seating at the bar and it was way too crowded for standing. Thankfully, John was available to speak to and he let us know that he was going to open up their second bar in a few minutes. John made sure to find us again in the busy restaurant to let us know that the second bar was open! I really appreciate him for this! My friend and I ordered a few drinks and appetizers and it did not disappoint! Even though it was only french fries and mozzarella sticks, they were hittin'! I wish I knew their recipe for their mozzarella sticks because they were slammin'! This part of the is more laid back and chill, so after a while, we decided to head back to the original bar, which became way less busy so we decided to sit and have some more drinks. This bar was way more poppin', lively, and had thee best throwbacks (Soulja Boy, okay?!). The staff (especially Quil, Nic, and Reese) that I met were extremely attentive, friendly, and funny! I can't remember the last time I sat down at the bar and had this much of a good time. Quil's personality was my absolute favorite. Quil was very personable, friendly, and all around had a great vibe. He was super easy to talk to and made sure that my friend and I were good. I could tell that Quil and the rest of the staff at the bar make everyone feel welcome because everyone else at the bar was having a great time too! My friend and I were having such a great time, that we didn't notice they were about to close lol. Oops! With all of this said, I will definitely be back on a day that I know Quil is working!

They don't post their beer list on their website, but it's available as a QR code when you get there. Probably because their beers aren't very good and you might not come in if they post it. Cocktail was OK though

Went here late Sunday evening after another downtown restaurant said that their kitchen was closed. Decent for drinks and a low-key casual vibe. The kitchen is open late. However, this is mostly because the food is pretty much previously cooked and ready. So, it's a toss-up depending on if you value speediness or a fresh meal, but let's not kid... from 9-12 on a Sunday, liquor, not food, is what people are looking for at a downtown bar area. Service was also friendly and attentive. It's worth a visit if you are in the area late.

They tried to charge me a $5 tip on a $11 drink when I tipped in cash. Never going back.

Food? Yes. Drinks? Pass. Came in on a Thursday night slightly crowded. Hostess was visibly miserable and extremely annoyed we came in with 6 people around 730pm. All of our mixed drinks were terrible and weak we ended up buying shots. Will say the server was much more pleasant and the food was pretty good. I thoroughly enjoyed the burger sliders. Probably will not return here and really do not recommend for drinks.

They had a special burger, it was spicy with 2-3 kinds of pork on it. BEST THING EVAH. It should be available all the time!

Misconduct is definitely in a convenient location and we had a party of 8 on a Friday night and were able to be seated immediately (vs. city tap down the street was 1 hr+ wait). The servers were nice & were willing to split our check for 8 people which was much appreciated! There were a few mix ups which the checks and the orders, but not a huge deal. The chicken tenders were just meh imo a lot of people hype them up but I didn't think they had much flavor or seasoning. It's very bland and one note so you need to drench it in sauce. I would go if you need somewhere to go nearby w no reservation or if it's convenient but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Misconduct is a sports bar with decent food, a pretty good beer list and on our visit - very attentive service. For that alone they deserve a nod. It also didn't hurt that they were serving Founders KBS on my visit. The mac and cheese appetizer was good - very cheesy which is always a plus. Sadly, they are not currently serving the lobster mac. The Philly hot chicken sandwich was good - huge but kinda messy due to all of the sauce. The fries were delicious. Get the fries. This location has a pretty big space - not a bad place to visit with a big group, once large groups can gather again. There are TVs everywhere for all you sports fans out there. I've been to Misconduct twice now so they must be doing something right.

This was the worst visit on my trip to Philly. Just stopped here for a quick bite and to get out of the cold. Instantly, no host/hostess, and music was unbearably loud. Food took forever. Server said the kitchen was very backed up. We got here at noon on a Thursday. Sure, I'll give the benefit of the doubt on an unusual rush. When we placed our drink orders, she brought everyone's but mine (nothing had alcohol and we all had the same drinks). Five minutes after, I asked about my drink and she said she couldn't carry it, that it's been sitting on the counter. Just kind of unusual. Eventually she brought it out. After waiting about an hour (we all got simple hamburgers and fries and an order of cheesesteak fries. We were getting up and intending on paying for just our drinks but the server said our food was in the window. Came out just a few minutes later. Any way, my burger was bland and my wife's was burnt. It was missing half of the toppings supposed to come with it. I asked for a side of ranch for my fries and she came back with another soda, as if I never said ranch. Cheesesteak fries came out a few minutes behind everything (weird because that was an appetizer) and they were ICE cold. Long story short, horrible food, horrible service, horrible ambiance. Wouldn't recommend to anybody.

Pros: Server was sweet and attentive, open late compared to other bars nearby, good food choices/ wide bar food variety it seemed, if you go before the kitchen closes. Nautical theme/ blue light adds to the ambiance. Outdoor seating partially indoor, if you worry about being cold. Big space so a lot of seating and not likely to run out. Cons: Ordered the Mango Habanero Margarita, as I like to give cocktails at a new place a try. The drink was disgusting, actually the worst drink of my life. Alcohol tasted extremely cheap in drink, syrup was really thick and had more of a mango w/ dry ice/ freezer burnt taste then a mango/habanero taste. Other con was that we ordered food around 10:10 and were told around 10:30 that the kitchen was actually closed but we had been waiting expecting to eat for 15-20 mins at that point. Would probably go again if desperate/ in need of a quick well drink, but wasn't anything to write home about.

Absurdly rude staff during the eagles game. After waiting 30 minutes to order a sprite at the bar, I was told that "I need to learn to wait in line" by a bartender. I had been patiently waiting and had politely asked him if I could order once he had completed the order he was making. We had already made eye contact multiple times and he knew I was waiting for a while. He had taken orders from people all around me.

I like this location a lot more then the 1511 Locust Street location. Very spacious mixed crowd where you can see everyone at the bar and plenty of TV's. The menu is very large and they even offer Califlower (instead of macoroni) N' homemade Fondue cheese as a option for those being carb conscious. I went with the Oysters that normally are not brought in to the establisment until after 4pm but lucked out as they had these early in the day. The Oysters were quite small and not worth the price but I appreciate this bar offers them as a food option. French Onion Soup - Pretty banging cheese. I have had better French Onion Soups but enjoyed the soup and at $8 a cup that is the max I am willing to pay. My overall impression of this Misconduct Tavern is it is a great bar to bring friends from out of town if you want to relax and enjoy yourself spending time catching up with a great variety of food options. That being said...it is slightly overpriced but directly adjacent from The Sterling (an extremely nice apartment complex) and if you have money to rent from The Sterling I do not think you will balk at the price points. I hope this bar is around a long time as I do enjoy it however. There other location is much more dimly lit and too crowded. Only benefit of the locust location is there are many bars you can pop in and out after visiting the locust Misconduct Tavern. The one on JFK is pretty isolated but a few minutes walk and your be back to the bar scene of the city in no time. As always people SYOY!!

A friend and I had a great experience here on a whim Saturday afternoon while waiting for the train. While I wish they had more brunch food options, the food we did have was on point. The loaded cheese fries were addicting and I will definitely go back just for them. Chicken fingers were cooked well and not dry, though could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading (dipping sauce helped)! Best of all we had an excellent server who was attentive and friendly, and taught my friend how to pour a Guinness - pretty cool! We were able to walk in on a Saturday during peak brunch time without a reservation and were seated right away. No complaints here!

[931] 6/10/2019 This Misconduct Tavern is located right in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. I saw this place featured on FYI Philly so I had to try it My burger was ok and my fries were very skinny (not the pictures I saw on yelp) My friend enjoyed his burger. My son enjoyed his chicken They have a nice bar area which looks like it can be a nice happy hour place. Our waitress was really nice I'm not a fan of the burger or fries. I would come back if someone else was coming but prob not on my own.

Stopped in for lunch with friends on a Friday afternoon recently and had a good time! The staff was friendly and prompt. It was a nice day, so we opted to dine outside which ended up being great people watching. I got a Moscow mule and the fried chicken sandwich. Both were fresh and flavorful! I was excited for pickled veggies, but disappointed that it was mostly carrots.. not sure what veggies I wanted, but not carrots lol my friends got salmon sliders and the bacon burger and enjoyed their food as well! I would return and do recommend.

I love Misconduct. Been going there for a while. Nate and Lindsay are all-stars. If you tip well, you might get a drink on the house. Great wings.

this is some of the best service i have ever received in my entire life. server cate was so sweet and helpful! she was very accommodating to all of our needs. she truly made the experience magnificent. 5/5. will definitely be returning!

If you're into overly friendly and super slow service, you'll like Misconduct more than I do. Hubby and I went for a quick drink and snack on New Years Eve before heading to our open bar event. There was room at the bar, and we were quickly given drink menus. Then the bartender headed to chat on the other side of the bar to chat with the other bartender. He came back over several minutes later to introduce himself, ask our names, and shake our hands (???) and headed away before we could order our drinks. We were finally able to order (yay) and hung out for a bit until we were ready to pay up. It took longer to pay than it had to order, we had to ask both bartenders for the tab, and each time they stood at the POS chatting. The location and food (cheese fries) and drinks were good, that's the redeeming quality here.

Are used to come to misconduct Tavern all the time and loved it here. They always came through with a reliable good meal. But this time around it felt like I was in a completely different establishment. Do you have change so much in the course of two years. The misconduct Burger is no longer a hand-formed burger. you have no choice on how it's prepared either. It comes out dry and taste like a rubber hockey puck. I asked for salad on the side and they gave me soggy iceberg lettuce. I couldn't even taste the salad. I will say the chicken tenders are good, that has stayed the same. The atmosphere was pretty uncomfortable. As soon as we walked in the hostess and waiters in the restaurant had on hoodies or jackets. I had to keep my coat on the entire time, as there is no type of heat. I couldn't believe that their doors were still open while operating like this. Our server tried to be nice, but a lot of her delivery was very nonchalant. The host didn't seem very welcoming. Moral of the story is if you're a restaurant and you want to stay open I understand that it's been hard but if you're going to cut corners choose one out of the three (food quality, cent experience, or electric bill) not all 3.

The place was almost empty. The server was ridiculously distracted. The service was slow. The noise level was off the charts and the food was super meh. Do not recommend.

I always have a pretty solid experience at Misconduct! The service is always prompt and friendly, and even when they're busy I've found servers to be super attentive. Their menu is pretty varied, but they're known for burgers and bar food. Don't miss their Mac and cheese it is SO good. Super creamy, flavorful, and indulgent. The cheesesteak empanadas are pretty tasty, and I liked the Seoul chicken sandwich. They have a great drink selection (they sometimes even stock the alchemist beers at their 1511 locust location). Def a great spot for lunch, happy hour, etc!

I have to give this place five stars just based on my experience with them all through Covid! They did a wonderful job with the outdoor seating and heat lamps and miraculously stayed open later at night than the other places in center city did! Although they were frequently out of the beers listed on their menu it was okay just to have someplace to go and connect with friends without having to make a reservation or spend a fortune The chicken tenders are amazing and I like their mixed drinks as well.

Came for dinner since they were open for seating while many places in the city are still closed. To be honest, nothing stood out about this place. The outdoor seating was ok, and the followed regulation. However, unfortunately, we came on a Wednesday night and they were street cleaning JFK Blvd, and the cleaning "truck" kept coming back (circling around to clean the entire street), and it kicked up lots of dust, which did not make eating outside great. The food was average, and the burgers were plain. They had a good drink selection though. Inside looks pretty nice, though it was close due to COVID; it looks like a nice place to come watch a game or to decompress after work. Our server was nice, though since we were sat on the side of the restaurant rather than the front, I felt like it was difficult to get attention Rating: 5/10

The bartender decided that my boyfriend was threatening for just standing at the bar. he had him kicked out for no reason. when asked additional questions he said "tonight is just not the night". Really disappointed with the service overall. not a great bar at all.

I preface this review with this was a my 3rd visit to this establishment and the previous experiences were mediocre at best. My last visit was the pinnacle of bad experiences. Our group of 6 spent $700 in drinks and appetizers only to be told to "quiet down" I have never been so MORTIFIED in my life. I will NEVER step back in this establishment.

Considering it is a sports bar, They have great food and good service when I want a quick drink and bite to eat while waiting for my train. I told my server that I really needed to get going because I was about to miss my train and she rushed to get my check and get me out on time. Great people and pretty good food!

The bartender was nice enough to greet me and supply me with a sample beer to try before ordering.. however, he seemed to get finely distracted by some gentlemen who were nestled in at the top corner of the bar both before and after the other bartender came down my way and finished my drink order.. now I only have to get his attention to pay my tab.. think I'll be here a while les't I gather at the corner ;)

Nate is the only reason we go back. Every other server or bartender we've had has been atrocious and rude. The female bartenders only care about male clientele. When we had a table, a large group, and a huge tab, our server couldn't give less of a shit about us, not to mention her bad attitude. I love Misconduct as a bar but I really wish the service staff had a better attitude.

A decent sports bar with a limited menu due to covid 19 at the moment. Stopped in with 2 friends from out of town to watch a game here. Service was decent food was as well. We ordered a few sliders to hold us over. Great for outdoor seating downtown and sporting events being broadcasted with their huge TVs.

Perhaps the middle of a Saturday afternoon is the time to visit, but I had a swell time at Misconduct Tavern. My group sat at the bar and ordered from the bartender. I was on the fence about my beer selection, so he let me sample the one I was contemplating. Good thing he did, because I went with something else. I also split a large Mac and cheese and chicken empanadas with friends. They were standard bar bites, but tasty for sure. Ok, so what did I really like about this place? They had a stellar playlist exclusively of 90s Rock. Not sure if that's the norm, but that put me in a fantastic mood. Aside from the music, there was nothing special enough for me to rush to return, but I wouldn't avoid the spot either.

Went here with friends after a long day at the museum. Had the creamy carrot soup and a glass of wine. The soup was delish! The service was also great. Side note - The soup was the only vegetarian option besides French fries. So if you are vegetarian and want options you might want to pass.

So..I came on a Sunday night, as I was staying at the Sonesta Hotel a few blocks away. I wanted to have a few drinks, and I pulled up Misconduct Tavern on my Yelp app as it was within walking distance. They we're not really busy, and I headed up to the bar, and victory! A few chairs were available. I didn't dine here, but the bar area was large, and I found the bartenders to be very friendly, and more importantly, I never had an empty pint. I will come back to this location the next time I stay downtown. Only negative is the hostess needs to turn her frown upside down. Stay thirsty my friends...

Diverse menu : lots of goodies. Venison burger to Salmon salad. All well prepared and presented. Great location and Philly atmosphere. Very comfortable and gracious servers. Totally returnable stop for good food and spirits at a reasonable cost :-)

Great food even better service! Go to the bar and ask for Matt, Nate, or Evan they won't disappoint. They're drinks are strong and flavorful, ask for a pomegranate margarita and you're in for a good night! Highly recommend the wings as well

abysmal customer service. I see many people actually received food when they opted to dine in rather than take out so maybe try that.

Came here last week late at night to grab some drinks. The drinks were standard -- no complaints. However, the restaurant has MICE running around (see photo), so it deserves nothing more than 1 star,

Definitely do not go here if you have a large crew. We wanted a big table (no tables were taken at all when we arrived) to watch the Penn state game and our server was miserable and unhappy the entire time serving our group. She even got mad at one point when we asked her to clear our finished food plates. It made everyone uncomfortable and we wanted to leave as soon as we finished eating. Bartenders are super nice and friendly, so sit there instead.

This place is awful! About 20 people in the place. Terrible service. Food sat in window. Waitress never asked how it was. Never asked if we needed another drink. We were going to get dinner, but changed our mind. The other Misconduct down the street is MUCH better.

My boyfriend & I had a late dinner here the day before the 4th and it was a nice experience. Some of the recent reviews almost stopped us from going because of the service complaints. I'm happy to report that our service was EXCELLENT!! Our server Nick was extremely attentive, kind and fast. Ask for him if you go, it'll amplify your visit. The food a was good, we both did burgers his beef mine seafood with a salad. They have a great beer list, our cocktail was weak so I'd skip that next time. Overall the vibe here is cool, and we enjoyed the music. Also the bathroom are gender neutral and clean.

Maybe I just don't understand the restaurant business, but shouldn't you NOT run out of something on your normal menu (not a special)?! My friend had been going on and on about how great the salmon sliders were only for them to be "out." What the heck?! Our server was nice, but it took FOREVER for our food to actually come! The server actually came over and asked us if we had gotten our food yet, and when the answer was "no" he went to go check on our order. My burger sliders were ok... not mind blowing. The space they have is an ok size, tons of TVs so if you're up for beer & a game, then check it out. Other than that, not much to go on about.
