The 20 Best Sports Bars In Philly

"Thanks to the vaulted, wood-paneled ceilings, you’ll probably feel a little like you’re on a boat when you’re drinking at Misconduct Tavern. But this Rittenhouse sports bar (which has a couple of other locations in the city) is a solid place to watch the game. They have a bunch of TVs and enough tables that you won’t have to hover behind some poor guy sitting at the bar for three hours. There’s a solid selection of beer, with taps that rotate every few weeks, and the burgers and wings are decent, too." - candis mclean

The Hottest Hot Dogs of Philly

"For a scrumptious no-frills hot dog experience (at a steal), grab the dollar dog special at one of Misconduct Tavern’s three locations. You can even add toppings like onions, relish, and sauerkraut for a few extra cents." - George Banks-Weston

Where to Watch NFL and College Football in Philly | Eater Philly

"No sports bar experience in Philly is complete without a visit to Misconduct Tavern. This is where guests go for a chill, yet buzzy, game night. Surprisingly, this place have some of the most decorated and tasty hot dogs you’ll find in the city, along with boozy cocktails that work just as fine as sipping beer there as well." - Ernest Owens

Google
Misconduct has been one of my favorite spots in Philly. Always a friendly crowd and excellent service here. The mozzarella sticks are some of the best I've had!

J L

Google
We came here specifically to watch a football game, and midway through they changed the channel on us without asking. When I politely asked to have it switched back, they refused, choosing instead to prioritize a new customer’s request over guests who were already there. It felt unfair and honestly discriminatory — as if our presence didn’t matter. A sports bar should value existing customers and respect that people come to watch games. Very disappointing experience, and I won’t be returning.

Josh Miller

Google
Ellen and AJ are the friendliest bartenders I've ever had. I've lived in Seattle, Pittsburgh, and Denver before philly, and never have enjoyed my bartenders this much. They can talk about anything, always have a smile, and are quick to check on you!

Rahul Yadav

Google
One of the best place to see arsenal games. I am not sure why removed the veg potato burger from menu, it was amazing. Anyway, it’s a good spot to watch arsenal games and the vibe is crazy with the fans. Regardless of that too, it’s good sports bar to go enjoy and have fun in city. I had some good times here. The decor gives different vibe in different section of the place but all really nice.

Cindy Rios

Google
Friendly staff, the wings were delicious as well as the drinks.

Abay Tadesse

Google
Great spots for drinks, great happy hour deals, but the food on the happy hour menu is a joke. They have a $8 pizza on there. It’s simply a bread with four tomatoes some cheese and oregano… I mean everything except the food here is good. Vibes, service, and prices, so I would def return

Google
Pretty good overall. I had a crab cake sandwich and a beer. The sandwich was reasonably tasty, the side salad fresh, ample, and palatable. I liked the beer, but it was one of the only options that wasn’t an IPA, citrusy, or commercial American mass-produced swill (like Bud or Miller). Decent service but you have to order at the bar.

Google
Ethan was our bartender and he was AMAZING! Super accommodating and made our experience after the Phillies game completely worth it! Thanks so much for taking care of my friends and I! Will def be back thanks to him!

Yelp
Love this spot. I've been going here since the remodeling. It is really nice in there now and the food and beer list is awesome. Service was great and I love the individual bathrooms. It's in the heart of center city; so a great spot to go before our after a show. We had cheesesteak fries, which were delicious. The mushroom burger was excellent. I think next time I would get the cheesesteak but instead of fries, over the chips. The chips are dynamite. Huge bonus: had one of my all time favorite beers on the beer list when we last visited. Goose Island - Matilda! This place is always in my center city rotation. Check them out!

Yelp
It's apparent that the experience here is all about expectations! I popped in after Christmas Village to grab a drink, snack and watch Villanova before heading back out. It's a Saturday around 4 and we grab a table, easy at this time, bartender switches meaningless NFL game so we can watch hoops. Server brought fried pickles and a plate of fries, some drinks and all was good. We left by 5:30 and a Santa pub crawl was coming through. If you don't like loud and boisterous then this would be a turnoff but we thought it added to holiday revelry!
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
Good for sport watching, I have heard from others saying the wings were great, but actually, they were so-so in my opinion. They have a downstairs area, but it smelled bad for some reason.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Food was decent - had the chicken wrap. Bartender was nice. Nice place to relax after work!
google avatar

Jonathan N.

Yelp
We needed something to eat after a show and didn't want a fancy meal that would have taken a long time at a proper restaurant. This place is fairly basic, but the service by Francisco was great (we sat at the bar). Beer was cold, and food was quite acceptable and very reasonably priced.
google avatar

JR K.

Yelp
Food was a 4 out of five - Chicken Ceasar salad. Lagunitas beer was cold and always good. Service was impeccable! Lauren always had a smile on here face and made everything better than ever. Ambiance ? 4.5 Great - almost perfect

Yelp
It was fun talking to Maureen at the bar that makes delicious drinks. The food looked delicious, especially the wings. However they no longer have vegan burgers on the menu. I would return to see Maureen and have a drink.

Yelp
Misconduct Tavern is an awesome place to watch a game. We were lucky enough to score seats here for the Super Bowl this past Sunday and despite the fact that the game did not go our way (so perhaps we weren't all that lucky), we had a great time here. There are TVs everywhere here, so even if you're walking to the bathroom (or in my case, on a comically long line for the bathroom), you won't miss a moment. They had the Eagles fight song and the Sixers victory song cued up for all hype/celebratory moments, which was a great and very important touch. Considering how packed it was for the game and how invested the crowd was in drinking, I was seriously impressed with how efficiently the staff worked here. With the exception of some chicken tenders I ordered relatively late in the night (I feel like most people had stopped ordering food by that point, so the timing was probably bad), everything we ordered came out super quickly. They have a ton of spiked seltzers, canned vodka sodas and ciders, so I was set for my long night of imbibing without worrying about getting too drunk (seltzers are hydrating, right?!). They have Stateside, which is one of my favorite local canned cocktail brands. Overall, even though the Eagles lost, Misconduct Tavern was super fun. We made lots of friends, danced to Rihanna, cheered and cried and hugged each other, and felt every emotion under the sun.

Jesse R.

Yelp
Service was terrible and inconsiderate, never checked on our table. Our waitress was Lauren, terrible customer service. Had to chase her down to tab out and then once we got the check couldn't split the check for the correct people. As I'm writing this review she was over my shoulder and yelled at me for writing a review lol Worst customer service I've ever received If you can't do customer service then don't work in customer service Never alright to yell at a customer !

Yelp
Pretty good place to stop in for some drinks and watch a Sunday night football game. The menu for food and drinks are available through your phone. Pretty decent selection of local brews which is nice. Pretty much wall to wall TVs so you can watch whatever game you want. I wasn't incredibly hungry so I ordered the fried pickle chips (6). The batter was seasoned really well and not incredibly greasy. The pickles were juicy and crisp. The service was good. I'd certainly consider coming back if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Gabriella W.

Yelp
I stopped by Misconduct on a Saturday afternoon with friends for drinks and snacks. They were easily able to accommodate us and there seemed to be great seating options for groups of all different sizes. I've come before to watch Sixers games and enjoy their buckets of beer. This visit I decided to try a cocktail and really enjoyed the Pomegranate Martini. It was relatively inexpensive for a cocktail and tasted delicious! The highlight of the food menu here has to be their chicken tenders. They are well breaded and crispy but the chicken inside is moist (sorry if you hate that word, but it is!!!) and tender (as the name implies). If you are stopping by Misconduct for any occasion, make sure that you get an order of the chicken tenders!
google avatar

Anastasia R.

Yelp
Came for the game and enjoyed quick eats. The loaded fries caught my eye and they delivered! I decided to skip the jalapeños and was happy I did. The seasoning had its own kick that I was satisfied with. There are many TVs to watch sports. The servers and bartenders were working hard as the bar filled up quickly for a game. There are some high tops and regular table tops to accommodate larger groups. If there's a game, be prepared for it to get loud!
google avatar

Miles A.

Yelp
Overall it's consistent, not spectacular but pretty good. Food is standard bar stuff. Lots of drink options and reasonably priced. They have events during the week. Usually crowded after work hours and on the weekends.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Is part of the after-dinner drinks rotation while working in Center City. A lively location with plenty of bar space and tables to grab a drink and a bite. Your usual selection of beers and spirits. The food is average, nothing you'd necessarily go out of your way to order, but good enough when catching a game or trying to put something in your stomach while enjoying Happy Hour. The service is always attentive and friendly and the prices are reasonable for the location.

D U.

Yelp
Family friendly lunch pre show. Great service and great food. Reasonable prices. Salmon sliders, burgers were both hits. Lots of TVs with the games on.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Waitress was very nice. All the food was terrible besides the mozz sticks. I would not recommend this place for food.
google avatar

Gloria E.

Yelp
Been here a few times during the week. Automatic gratuity added if you get your bill after 8pm. Some of the wait staff is nice, but also have seen one or two that don't come around often and when they do, aren't very friendly or helpful. The cheese fries and regular fries are pretty dope, the sliders are alright, and the burgers look ok. Hard to get around when the restaurant area is full and you're stuck in the corner. Lots of TVs to watch games though, an extra warm fireplace for ambiance.
google avatar

Shannon M.

Yelp
It's a very cute happy hour spot. I came here because the mac and cheese caught my eye as I walking by. The mac definitely lived up to the hype. It has just enough cheese and spice. They do have different types of Mac and cheese. My date got the Buffalo chicken mac and I got the shrimp Mac. Definitely a spot I will come back too whenever I'm in the area. I probably wouldn't get the dirty martini again but the old fashion was delicious.

David E.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed I. This place... but even more so I'm the HORRIBLE attitude of the manager. Save yourself a headache.... Apathetic disinterested and obviously doesn't care about revenue. Horrible

Aaron F.

Yelp
Awful service. It wasn't anywhere near full and our server ignored us. We got an appetizer and after about 45 minutes the server didn't come back to check on us to order the main meal so we just left. She wouldn't acknowledge us after the appetizer and kept walking past us. We ended up trying to close out with the bartender, politely, and he immediately got an attitude before going to get the server for us. Definitely won't come back.

Guy M.

Yelp
One of the worst bars in philadelphia. Horrible service, horrible drinks, my drinks were half water. Never go here. Believe the horror stories you see on here

Janie M.

Yelp
Stopped in for drinks and some food before a show. Good selection of craft beers and typical bar food with a few interesting twists. Enjoyed the PEI oysters (nothing fancy but they were fresh and tasted great) with a few beers.

Jordy J.

Yelp
our service and food was great! the atmosphere is full of Philly fans of course!! great time! Kevin was our tender! great job, friend! we'd come again!

Felicia J.

Yelp
waited for 30, minutes, even went to the bar and got no service after it being "promised." Went for the happy hour, which ends at 7 apparently despite it being advertised at ending at 8pm. Drove over an hour to try their food bc I heard raving reviews, just to get no service while waiting at a dirty table
google avatar

Rudi P.

Yelp
Food was solid. I didn't really have complains. They had a a good selection of drinks and it wasn't too packed on a weekday night
google avatar

Charmaine S.

Yelp
First time trying this Tavern on Sixers game night! Great vibe and bartenders were very nice and attentive. We tried the salmon burger sliders with fries it was really good! The 4 stars are for the horrible Moscow mules it was made by more than 1 bartender and no one knew what they were doing. Would definitely come back just train bartenders on how to make a classic drink!
google avatar

Angie W.

Yelp
This place was a nice place to come to watch a game as they have multiple TVs on all the walls. It was a bit loud. Food was alright, but the thing to get here are the cheesesteak empanadas!!! I think they tasted better than some of the other cheesesteaks I've had in Philly! The salmon sliders were average. Staff was decently nice- they repeatedly came and asked if we needed anything else towards the end of our time as if they wanted us to leave even though there was no one waiting. Prices weren't bad.
google avatar

Lindsay S.

Yelp
I've been working around the corner from this nautical watering hole for 11 years. Always my go to date spot, or happy hour catchup with friends. I even brought my whole family down from the northeast to have my graduation dinner here. (Everyone knows how hard it can be to get outsiders into the city to pay to park and pay more to eat-it used to be worth it) I was their biggest fan. Music is usually just the right mix of classic rock and recent hits. Dim lights-love that. THOSE OLD CHICKEN FINGERS! Chef's kiss Had me ordering them every visit as if I was a child. This is my first time returning since covid (recently received my booster and felt up for indoor dining again) It has changed. There's no longer a happy hour-WHAT :/ The vibe has changed drastically. It's dead- 5 PM and I'm one of two people here. I assume because everyone else has already found a new go to HH in the area. Finishing this review by pouring my full price drink out in memory of the old, bomb chicken fingers. The staff still seems friendly which gained them an extra star (THIS STARTED as a 3 star review) I'm butt hurt because there's no happy hour I'll be back if they ever have drink specials Only ONE staff member(including cooks that came out on the floor) wore a mask Definitely taking a rapid test

Jackson B.

Yelp
been debating posting for a couple weeks now since they don't seem to care about the fact that they get shitty reviews but don't spend your money here.... bouncers are physically aggressive, non-transparent... when you ask for the manager some guy will come tell you he's the manager and then claim he's the owner the service is ass... if you enjoy waiting 45 minutes for a canned beer and being harassed this may be the place for you though
google avatar

Sherry J.

Yelp
How could we not stop at a bar called Misconduct? RJ and I stopped here after dinner across the street. I had a Rose Margarita which was Olmeca Altos Plata, Rose Nectar Syrup, Triple Sec, and Lime Juice. This was one of the best margaritas I have ever had. And I have had a lot of margaritas. It tasted like tequila, flowers, and sunshine. It's as if this drink was made just for me.
google avatar

Camille N.

Yelp
Food was filling and great! A bit overpriced for what they're really offering but it was good overall.
google avatar

Molly R.

Yelp
We stopped in here on National Margarita day and had amazing spicy mango margaritas! The salt around the rim had a tasty kick to it! Erin was our bartender and she gave us tons of tips on what to do during our weekend in Philly. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon so it was a bit quieter at the bar, but we were met with excellent drinks and service!

Jill T.

Yelp
Service was so slow! We were there Wednesday night...bartender seemed more interested in texting and doing side-work than paying customers. Waited like 15 mins just to get our check as we sat there with empty drinks in front of us. Not going back!
google avatar

Yuanyuan F.

Yelp
I come here only for soccer games, not for food. It's a gathering place of Arsenal fans, so the ambience is perfect for Arsenal fans during Arsenal's games. Food recommendation: fried zucchini sticks
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
If you want to cheer for your game, you are not welcome, even if they told you at the very beginning it was NOT a problem. Such a shame to be called a sports bar and then be told you are too loud. They want to be classy and cater to a football crowd, such a shame. Ans I was informed that all other patrons that were there at 1130 waiting for the noon game after 2 hours were being too loud... I guess they were okay with people spending money, but screw you if we have another wave of people come into their establishment. Beer is very expensive and they are not catering to the correct crowd to be called a sports bar on Yelp.. which I hope to modify! More like an uptight management. I was told to keep it down by management and I didn't even swear... that's just BULL! And now I swear! If you cater to adults watching a game, then you need to allow the cheering to go along with the game. Also, if you want to be called stupid by the bartender, then come here. I'm okay with trash talking about sports, but when you get personal, it makes you ignorant. I have not been disrespectful in any way shape or form, but just loud. I do not recommend anyone watching any event here. Perhaps if you want to be posh and not a true fan! I'm so sorry I gave any money to this establishment! The two stars is for their Victory Winter Cheers beer, which is like candy and very good. The lack of stars is due to management.... good job!

Yelp
My niece's Connecticut driver's license was torn in half by Misconduct Tavern's bouncer, Jay, this evening after she couldn't remember her zip code (she's been living out at Penn State until just recently). Rather than deny her access he intentionally tore her license in half which is willful destruction of property. This was her first time visiting Philadelphia and I am downright embarrassed as a Pennsylvanian. I would not recommend anyone from out of town visiting here lest your personal property be destroyed by a bouncer thinking he has a modicum of authority. Misconduct Tavern is aptly named.
google avatar

Yelp
Never disappoints and this time I was blown away by their scallop burger! So much so that I didn't even take a picture because I was busy inhaling it! They have this colossal "burger" made of chopped scallops lightly breaded and grilled to perfection topped with bacon sitting on top of grilled asparagus spears. The taste was amazing total freshness of the sea scallops! I need to get back down to the city for another one. Oh I can't forget to mention we started with the jumbo grilled buffalo wings. Those were very tasty but the winner at this meal was that scallop burger!

Yelp
Good experience on weekends, even better on weeknights. Did I really just say that? Ok, I think I'm getting officially old. I've been here numerous times on Friday/Saturday nights, and it was always bumpin'. I definitely had a lot of memorable (and not so memorable) moments here. But recently, I stopped in for a late night dinner on a weeknight, and boy, I honestly think that was way more enjoyable. There were only a few other people in the place, so it was relatively quiet, and in a way, serene. I was there with a couple of friends and we grabbed some apps, side dishes, and a few drinks. In my older, wiser (HAH!) years, this was just what I wanted. No loud music, no live bands, no crazy specials like "nickel shot night".. just a nice atmosphere and good company. Our server, Alison, was an absolute doll. Attentive, personable.. and even though we were the last table and the only thing keeping her from leaving that night, able to remain in good spirits. She never made us feel hurried or as if we were an inconvenience. There's a pretty basic menu which consists mostly of sandwiches, sliders, and your assortment of traditional starters. I'm sure I'll be back for a late evening snack. And if I'm feeling really frisky and want to turn back the clock, I might even come back on a Friday night :D

Yelp
Easily my favorite sports bar in Philly. They have a good array of beers, good bar food and service is always very good. A solid spot for a laid back night out to watch a game or just grab a bite to eat and a beer. Always my go-to!
google avatar

Louis R.

Yelp
Louis R loves good food, refreshing drinks and solid service. This spot is terrific for watching the NY Giants destroy the Iggles. or check out the craziness when a Premiere League match is on. Crazy. It's spacious, and you can people-watch from the open windows. This spot is a few feet above street level so you get better vantage points on the hotties and fuglies walking by. I'll be back. I will.
google avatar

Miguel V.

Yelp
Had the bison burger with sweet potato fries. First time here and the food was good. Had a couple beers and it was a chill environment. Calamari was one of the best I have ever had. Would definitely return for a happy hour.
google avatar

Madison B.

Yelp
Great bar food and nice patio atmosphere. Not super crowded, perfect place for a date night in Philly. Also open later than most places in the area!
google avatar

Jessica V.

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to watch sports this is the place to go!! Misconduct has a ton of TV's around and a massive bar to give great sports bar vibes. They have tarps up to separate tables but some were still too close together for my liking during COVID. We went on the first weekend of March Madness and I don't think they were fully prepared for the crowd. The place got a little rowdy and some tables weren't adhering to COVID rules. However, the drink buckets were well priced and the food was very good! The hot chicken sandwich was amazing and the fries that came with it were very salty. The sliders were a little to well done for me but the misconduct sauce, similar to thousand island dressing, kept it moist. The pretzels were the best and we wound up getting 2 orders of them! The cheese sauce is light but very tasty. This is a fun happening sports bar and we will be back for more games!!
google avatar

Naina P.

Yelp
Well as we were new to the city of "Brotherly Love" our first beer and lunch experience was here. It was a nice sunny day and we enjoyed their burger and fries with couple of beers on the side. Looking forward to go back here to try different food options henceforth.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Misconduct Tavern is a casual bar in center city serving beer and bar grub such as burgers, fries, wings, pretzels, and more. The ambiance is casual and fun, albeit a bit loud. I tried the Bavarian burger, which wasn't my fave, but maybe I would've enjoyed some of the other fare more. Overall a passable pub for a Happy Hour hangout.
google avatar

Tiffany S.

Yelp
It is the nearest sports bar/restaurant to where I live but I can't seem to get myself to come here more frequently. To be fair, it's in an enviable Center City location with a huge space and plenty of TVs, therefore logically should be a desirable spot. However, I find myself coming here with friends when we feel like being lazy or don't want to take the risk of not having a table at another preferred bar. The food is very hit or miss. I'm not a fan of the chicken tenders (overly fried) and as much as I wanted to like the steamed clams, I must have consumed 2 days worth of sodium in this medium-sized bowl. However, the roast pork sandwich my friend got was very delicious. I guess you just need to know what to order here to avoid rookie mistakes. Service is on the slower side (but never rude!) but I'm just going to assume maybe each waiter/waitress has to cover a large number of tables?

Yelp
4French Onion Soup: Classic French onion, but had a strong flavor of oregano. Cheese was well cooked through and toasted enough that it was easy to break the cheese apart. Bread used in the soup tasted a little burnt though. Sat at the bar, service was attentive and on top of getting drinks during the game! Variety of beers!

Nick C.

Yelp
Literally the only thing you should get from this place is the wings. The burger is straight out of McDonald's (which would actually be better than what they serve at this place). Service is very slow, took so long to get my food and it was cold when it came out. I asked to get my burger cooked medium-rare, but they said they couldn't even do that (which tells you ab the quality of meat they're serving). I do not recommend eating at this place unless it's JUST WINGS.

Beth B.

Yelp
This was my niece's first time visiting Philadelphia. Her ID was ripped up by the bouncer named Jay. She is 22 years old and now has to get a new license. Avoid this bar, there are plenty of other places to frequent in Philadelphia.
