Miss Barb's is a cozy day-to-night oasis in Flatbush, where you can sip great coffee, enjoy warm vibes, and unwind with wine under glowing lights.
"If you live in Flatbush and your apartment’s “living room” only fits one chair, you should know about Miss Barb’s. Named after one of the owners’ mothers, this cafe-by-day, wine-bar-by-night on Nostrand Avenue has a bar and a bunch of couches where you can drink coffee, eat a chive biscuit, and get some work done. In the evening, the lights turn red, and a projector in the back plays reruns of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Glasses of wine are all around $15, and they’re poured right to the brim, like you’re at your friend’s house and they want you to stick around a whole lot longer. Order a glass or three, and don’t be surprised if you stumble upon a DJ set or an Uno tournament. photo credit: Willa Moore" - Willa Moore
"In Brooklyn’s Little Caribbean, Miss Barb’s is a cafe by day, and shifts to a natural wine bar at night. The spot is owned by siblings, who named it after their mother. They don’t have food yet, but check back in later for a menu of Jamaican patties, and some other Jamaican and Filipino snacks." - will hartman
