Miss Barb's

I’ve been to Miss Barb’s twice now and it’s such a cute, cozy spot. It’s perfect for co-working or getting out of the house for a few hours. Both times I ordered the chai tea latte and it was great. They also have a small selection of desserts and will warm them up for you. I tried the oatmeal raisin cookie and it was really good. In the mornings it isn’t too busy, which I love. I can see it getting busier later with people looking for a comfortable place to work without being stuck at home. It is also a great spot for a coffee date. The tables are small and intimate, and although the space itself is not large, it feels warm and inviting. After a certain time it transitions into a bar serving wine, beer, and other drinks. I have not experienced that side yet, but I am definitely curious. They will definitely be seeing me again.

Overall rating: 4.6 This place popped up on my FYP for a good night out in the neighborhood. Rather than a late night I activity, I went for an after work drink spot. I didn’t realize it was also a coffee spot. Def want to come back during the day. The spot is nice but it wasn’t what I was expecting. I did go early. But it was very surprised there wasn’t any happy hour. It was a lot more mellow than I was expecting and with the very little people there, the music was so loud. Tried the beef patty too & it was alright. Def needed an accompanying sauce. The staff was very friendly but not sure if I’d go again. Doesn’t seem like the place for me.

Good vibes. There’s plenty of people sitting and working, even taking video calls. There’s some outlets in the back. The barista sets the tone and runs the shop. There was only one staff member when I was there on a Thursday morning and she held it down. At first, I didn’t like my Matcha latte because I thought it was too much Matcha powder, but I stirred it up and I was like ‘you know what that’s actually pretty good.’ I drank my drink on the couch, people watched for a bit and went on about my day. great little spot. Only con, there’s no food, just pastries.

Great little spot…cozy atmosphere and friendly and welcoming bar tender (Miss Barb’s son). It’s a coffee shop by day that transforms into a bar in the evening, which was a pleasant surprise. I wish they had beer on tap, but the selection of canned beers is solid. I’ll definitely be coming back. Also great vibes and music.

Amazing owners and a great vibe. The wine list is rotating so you can always expect to try something new and tasty. I love that they are always hosting different type of events. Definitely the go to wine bar/cafe in Crown Heights!!

Was running around trying to find a place to kill some time. I came across miss barbs and it was like a beacon of warmth and hope. With it being in the single digits outside. Spaces like these are really important. Ordered a hot latte. It was just what I needed.

LOVE this place. It’s my new favorite in the neighborhood. Coffee and treats during the day, wine at night. Super friendly staff, delicious coffees and tasty baked goods. WiFi users will be thrilled to find outlets available by most tables.

Huge fan of Miss Barb's here! Their coffees are fab and the couple of baristas who I usually see are super friendly and funny. Have only interacted with the owners a couple times but they seem like really good people who care about our community. No shade to the chain coffee places, but Miss Barb's is my spot. Shop local! Love yall.

Miss Barb's is the spot. The coffee, the people, the ambiance---it all hits. I love coffee and I also love my neighborhood. Miss Barb's is in a category of its own in that it feels like a welcoming neighborhood spot, where everyone is welcome. Unfortunately a lot of the coffee shops these days feel exclusive and represent the worst parts of gentrification. That is not the case at Miss Barb's. The space feels like how Brooklyn used to be, when people said hi to each other! Shout out to Miss Barb's! Thank you for creating the space for us to connect with our neighbors. And for the incredibly delicious coffee!

I went to Miss Barb's BK for a spades night with some friends after the gym on a weekday night. The place was lively, such a cute bar. The host was great and the bartenders were kind and made sure there was enough seating for everyone. I'd love to come back in the daytime since it's also a coffee shop but I did enjoy the wine selection and ciders.

Walked into Miss Barb's walking on Nostrand Ave. I'm always hyper aware of the changes in the neighborhood and noticed this new spot: it was dimly lit and the ambiance was glowy. They have a bar area as well as tables and chairs. There's a huge projector in the back. They're a coffee shop by day and wine bar by night. They have a wine and beer menu as well as light bites. It was a bit late when I went but id definitely go back!

Came here for an event and will definitely be back! Loved the vibe and decor, service and prices were also great. Drinks list included wines, beers, a cider, and a couple mocktails. The rose cider was so good! The music is a little loud but maybe it would have been better if I sat on the other side of the bar. Either way, highly recommend

I will say the vibe there is really nice and chill. The service was good as well. I ordered a chai tea latte and it was actually pretty delicious. I love that she added cinnamon to the top. I will definitely be coming back because I saw they turned into a wine bar so I would like to check that out as well

Love the dark intimate setting and the music was on point!! The owners were so sweet and we tried various wines. During the day it's a cafe at night it because a super cute lounge. I'll definitely come back.. I love the dimly red lighting and they have a projector playing Family Matters. Shout out to Brandon,one of the owners for being really nice.

Lovely couple! Coffee bar during the day, wine bar at night? Love the concept. Very homely vibe. Much needed in the area. Can't wait to return!

A wonderful... and dare I say grown and sexy find!! I've only been in the evening, where this coffee shop by day, turns into a wine bar by night. I've been to their "f*ck it's Wednesday" with $7 pours all night.. I mean, come on, it doesn't get any better than that. The ambiance is beautifully lit with a red glow and decorated with chairs and lounge type seating. The owner of the spot is such a sweetheart as well. Very welcoming and inviting.

Perfect new spot for both morning coffee and evening wine! This cozy cafe transforms into a charming bar at night, offering a full coffee menu by day and cocktails after dark. There's plenty of seating - from bar stools to tables - making it ideal for WFH, studying, or just catching up with friends. The back room features a screen for their movie nights, adding to the community vibe. When I telll you A TIME WAS HAD!!!!!!! Honey!!! Run don't walk to karaoke Wednesday. Ooo the joy it brought me to see so many grown and sexy black and brown people coming to enjoy time with one another in peace and harmony it was amazing. Brandon and Shea are such great host and had the people feeling like we all belong. It was my first time going and I absolutely will be coming back. Wishing them much success in their business. This place better stay open for a long time.
