"Edgewood’s shuttered Noni’s has a new resident. Mother and daughter Emily James and LaToya Franklyn opened Miss Conduck in May with a focus in Trinidadian cuisine. Goat, oxtail, and chicken curries are on the menu, along with fried sweet plantains and roti. The restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere with dining room, bar, and courtyard seating." - Henna Bakshi
"Miss Conduck is now officially the best spot to kick-off a night on Edgewood Avenue’s strip when you want more than a beer and some pretzels. The stylish Caribbean fusion spot, which opened in the former Noni's space, trades in Edgewood’s chaotic buzz for chill island energy. It’s decked out in pinks, greens, and oranges, and filled with tropical plants, all of which should ease the pain of not taking a beach getaway this summer. Before you go searching for a party on a Friday night, come here with friends for some very strong cocoritas—a play on a piña colada and a margarita. Or sit on the patio with a date who likes the sound of tasty chicken rasta pasta with an herby tamarind glaze and curry chicken with rice and cabbage." - nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard
"Miss Conduck opened in the space previously occupied by Noni's on Edgewood. The menu is stuffed with Caribbean fusion dishes like rasta pasta, roti, and jerk chicken. We’ve already been—and love it." - juli horsford, jacinta howard
"Miss Conduck's cocoritas—a playful twist on a piña colada and a margarita—will make your eyebrows dance. It'll only take one or two before you're texting everyone you know that this Caribbean fusion restaurant is the best place on the strip to fuel up on a great, satisfying meal before you go barhopping. The atmosphere is beachy and fun, like you've completely left the chaotic buzz of the strip, or maybe even wandered from busy Edgewood Avenue into the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Expect a room that's heavy on tropical plants, and everything decorated in rich oranges, pinks, and greens. There’s plenty of space to spread out with your friends in a booth or at the central bar. And even though you won't find any actual duck on the menu, the roomy outdoor patio comes complete with a water-spouting duck perched atop a fountain. Plan to have a date night out here. It's quieter than the indoor dining room, so you can properly compare zombie apocalypse survival strategies between bites of crispy-sweet coconut shrimp or savory curry chicken with rice and cabbage. photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair Food Rundown photo credit: Jacinta Howard Curry Chicken With Rice & Peas This is hearty and comforting, like a hug from your favorite auntie. The curry is earthy and full of bold spices, and it isn’t too runny or too thick. Chana & Potato Roti This is the perfect feel-good food. The potatoes and chickpeas swim in a thick curry sauce that’s richer than your cousin who works in sales but never explains what he actually does. Buss Up Shut The soft, buttery flatbread tears easily and goes well with everything on the menu. Rasta Pasta This dish is creamy and delicious, with green, yellow, and orange peppers adding pops of color that just so happen to match the restaurant’s decor." - Jacinta Howard
