Miss Saigon Review - Soma - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"If there’s any other Vietnamese restaurant in SF besides Miss Saigon where you can stare at a projection of a lakeside patio and dine under neon pink tree branches, let us know. This casual SoMa spot looks like a paintball supply closet exploded all over the ceiling and walls. The food at this mostly takeout place is pretty good—though the garlic noodles could use a bit more garlic, and the vermicelli bowls are just fine. But the sleeper hit is the bánh mì. The golden brown bread has just the right amount of soft, chewy give, and the grilled meats drip with mayo. Order this and the bánh xèo loaded with pork and shrimp, and you’ll have a great time." - Julia Chen

Service was good it was just two girls making their rounds to everyone. Atmosphere was unique and fun and made me feel like I was in Asia. Food was honestly amazing. Seriously everything was so fresh and all the veggies to put on my pho were too and I loved that part. It’s the little details. I had the chicken pho and a side of fried egg rolls.

Google
This is an authentic Thai restaurant with tasty traditional dishes and very humble staff. Delicious food and good service.

Google
we just ordered their pho and it was delivered tonight, first of all I didn’t even get the 3 drinks I ordered. And then the rice noodles weren’t EVEN COOKED when it was delivered. I know it’s suppose to come cold but that’s not the issue. The noodles were literally HARD. How do you guys even mess up on that???? You’re a whole noodle soup restaurant, that should be the easiest thing you guys cook on the menu.

Google
This is my top choice for Vietnamese restaurants in SF, especially for pho and spring rolls. The freshness of the vegetables served and the deep flavor of the soup were exceptional. The spring rolls were also pretty much perfect! I could eat here every lunchtime in SF. However, a word of caution: the street nearby can be slightly dangerous, which isn't the restaurant's fault but might affect some visitors' comfort. Despite this, I highly recommend visiting this place for an amazing meal!

Google
Having tried 4 Vietnamese restaurants here, this one is by far the most authentic one and the best in San Francisco downtown. I think it’s family run business, great service, food and price. Really worth every penny. Highly recommend and I have been there for two times now and will be back for one more time before I leave the city. It is just to too good to miss it.

Google
I ordered from UberEat 2 dishes, 1 Pho and 1 Dry Noodles. The Pho Dac Biet was wrong order I believe, there were no beef ball or tendon. The dry noodle has little meat , too much Noodle

Google
Truly delicious food. Miss Saigon has some of the best Vietnamese food that I have ever had. The restaurant is in a bit of a rough neighborhood but it is worth the trip if you are looking for a great place to eat in San Francisco.

Google
Delicious food. Attentive and friendly service. Some of the best crab Rangoon I’ve tasted. Neighborhood isn’t great, but don’t let this be the reason you miss out on a great dining experience. Order takeout if you’re weary of the area!

Yelp
The best pho I have ever had. My favorite is the filet mignon pho, so good. Imperial rolls are delicious, great crunch fresh cucumber on the side. Customer service is very nice & authentic family owned restaurant treated with care. The area is not ideal but the staff makes you feel safe and welcome the moment you enter. Delivery also available. I hope this business stays open for years to come.

Yelp
The entrance is not too big thus can be easily missed As you walk inside, you will be surrounded by plenty of tables waiting for you to sit down on. Don't worry too much about not having a seat if you are coming as a group because once the tables are merged together, it will fit you all. Since I came in during the Christmas time, the setting is nicely decorated to fit the season with peaceful seasonal music that will make you feel relaxed as you dine. Though there are only 1-2 employees here who will take your order thus be prepared to wait a bit. I ordered #20, Pho dac biet which comes with rice noodles, rare beef beef, beef balls, and tendon brisket. Rice noodles came in a nice portioned bowl with a good mixture of beef. Soup taste sweet and delicious. Nicely hot into your stomach.

Yelp
This Vietnamese restaurant is truly a hidden gem, even though it's located on 6th Street, which isn't the most ideal area. If you're planning a visit, I'd recommend taking a carshare or opting for delivery rather than driving. The menu offers an impressive variety of dishes, but I always gravitate toward my favorites: the Pho Dac Biet (combination pho) and the Crab and Shrimp Imperial Rolls. - The Pho Dac Biet stands out with its incredibly flavorful broth--it's absolutely exceptional! They're also generous with the protein, and it's served with all the traditional accompaniments: bean sprouts, fresh mint and basil, lime wedges, Sriracha, green onions, oyster sauce, and fresh jalapeños. - The Imperial Rolls are packed with protein, have the perfect crunch, and come with a refreshing side of cucumbers and lettuce. The customer service here is top-notch. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive, checking in frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, and I highly recommend giving it a try!

Yelp
Came here with friends on New Year's Day as they wanted something warm and filling as a hangover cure from the night before. From the outside, I couldn't tell that it was actually a very large space inside. They still had all their Christmas decor up and it was so festive and inviting inside! Service was quick and friendly. Part way through eating, a homeless man came in in quite a threatening way that scared us, but this probably happens often and the staff knew how to shoo him away safely. We started off with the egg rolls and crab rangoons. The crab rangoons were very creamy. The egg rolls were super hot and fresh and needed a few good minutes to cool down. Three of us ordered the pho dac biet and one ordered the bun rieu. The pho dac biet soup was amazingly flavorful and I couldn't stop drinking it, even though most pho soups usually make me super thirsty and have quite a bit of MSG in it. I don't think I was actually as thirsty as usual after drinking the soup here. Portions were very generous as well.

Yelp
This is one of my fav bowls of pho anywhere. I can't seem to stop ordering the 17b, pho with rare filet mignon, it is so incredibly tender and beefy. The pho broth here is the 2nd to none. Service is always nice and quick, and the decor is a sight to behold. Don't let the street folks of 6th street deter you, this place is a gem.

Yelp
One of the top Vietnamese restaurants in the city. Excellent pho, grilled pork and imperial rolls.

Yelp
The food here is so good! I got the egg rolls and pork banh mi and they were delicious. The only downside about this place is the location. Wish it were in a better part of town but other than that I'd give it 5 stars.

Yelp
Seriously, This was one of the best pho I've had! Little sweet but in a good way, It was quite phenomenal to be honest. Prices are a bit high compares to other Vietnamese or pho restaurants. Miss Saigon is not only a pho restaurant, but it's a Vietnamese restaurant with authentic ambiance inside just like in Vietnam. They play French music when I ate there today, I don't know if they always play French chanson every time but it also make it very uniquely old school Vietnamese being that Vietnam was a former French colony. I don't mind, I'm a fan of Serge Gainsbourg too! (they also played Anne Marie David and Christophe) during the duration of my large bowl of pho bo vien (pho with meatballs). Excellent broth! phenomenal pho
google avatar

Yelp
Most amazing broth flavor for the pho!!! The grilled pork chop dish was also heavy in flavor, I highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
I think of the musical, Miss Saigon. Today was hot. Once the door opens, there's lots of traffic noise. I give them kudos for operating a business with the homeless ocupying outside the restaurant. Today was 90 degrees. Hot. All I wanted was water. I normally get the pho but there is no way I can eat hot soup. I got #32, the salad on the bottom with one fried stuffed egg roll and bbq beef. Nice crunchy veggies. With a sprinkle of peanuts and green onions chopped ccucumber. All delish.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice family owned Vietnamese restaurant in SF. Very reasonably priced and the pho tai and five spiced chicken banh mi were delicious! Only issue is the location is pretty sketchy.
google avatar

Yelp
Take Out approved! Lots of yummy food and plastic containers to recycle later. Pho Ga, Goin Cuon, Wonton Soup, Cha Gio, Bun Thit Nuong, Cha Gio

Yelp
I only get to go from here bc the area is a bit shady - I will say it's conveniently located near union square so great for a bite to eat if you are there! I love the fresh spring rolls & the filet mignon pho - one of my fav phos in the city!! Very flavorful broth!! Would recommend this place!
google avatar

Marlon L.

Yelp
WHAT an amazing surprise! some of the best pho I've ever had, and literally THE best crab rangoon I've ever had... the staff was very sweet and attentive... highly recommend this wonderful gem! unfortunately the neighborhood is going to through some stuff, but this place is truly a diamond in the rough... If you're discouraged by the neighborhood you should definitely order take out ... for real, get the crab Rangoon!

Kent W.

Yelp
I use to love this place until they started to price gouging people example the deep fried spring rolls used to be $12 now $19 hmmmm same rolls 2 sheets of paper thing rice sheets shaved carrots not even 1 shrimp no crab btw even though it called that and some Asian potato for filling HOW those ingredients were effected by covid is and now cost $5 per roll cause each order is 4 rolls, for all you people who like their food beware they are following other Asian restaurants in this trend
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
Heard this place has the best banh mi in SF and I had a great chicken banh mi! Tasted fresh and great. Staff are also friendly!

Cici Z.

Yelp
The place is beautiful and heart-fully decorated. People are super nice and the food is great as always. I especially love the noodle soups, so tasty.
google avatar

Edie N.

Yelp
Authentic Vietnamese restaurant in SoMa! The bone broth was flavorful and had a sweet aroma. Didn't need much hoisin sauce or siracha. The egg rolls were crispy, came out hot and love the side of veggies. Service is quick and efficient. Very casual setting.

Yelp
The restaurant interior brought me back to Vietnam with the tet decoration and colorful walls! The staff was attentive and friendly as well. We ordered the Beef Pho and the Bun Bo Hue. Both had a sweeter broth to it which we weren't expecting. The Bun Bo Hue noodles and meat was very delicious with lots of chili. My partner also enjoyed his pho, but we couldn't get past the sweetness. Maybe because we're more used to Hanoi style pho compared to southern Vietnam. Overall, a great spot for a quick bite. Also try the chicken wings, those were good too. Do keep in mind that the surrounding street has loiterers hanging in front and around, so keep your eyes open for the restaurant on the corner. They were harmless during our visit, but still worth mentioning.
google avatar

J S.

Yelp
All the soups are too sweet with too much rock sugar Really bizarre. Good portion size though.
google avatar

Maya R.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Miss SaiGon and we ordered Bun Thit Noung, Pho Tai, and Bun Bo Hue through delivery. The soup came warm and they added in free chicken wings and Che which was definitely a plus! Good BBH is hard to find in SF but we all agreed that the broth was very flavorful and we would definitely get it again. We ordered a large pho and the portion was huge - it could definitely have been split between two people. The bun thit noung was also a pretty big portion and was fresh and delicious. I can't wait to order from here the next time I'm craving Vietnamese food!
google avatar

Yelp
Fall vibes, great service, and amazing pho! This place is a sleeper you should definitely check out!

Yelp
This is one of my go-to pho restaurants in SF and they've proven to be consistent and reliable. I'm not sure what the size difference between a regular and a large (+$1) is because I always get the large since, by the time I order, the craving has hit me too hard to exercise any restraint. Unfortunately, I've only ordered delivery from here as the location is a bit difficult for me to navigate to/from, as some other reviewers have shared as well. I would like to visit one day if they open a new location or the area clears up. Given the logistics challenges of keeping pho good through delivery, they've done a great job and I intend to order from here again and again.
google avatar

Andrew R.

Yelp
Food was ok, but the delivery experience was dismal. I ordered wonton soup and pho and checked the box to include napkins and utensils. Not in the bag. Really hard to eat soup without utensils. I asked for no cilantro, ignored and full of cilantro mixed in and hard to remove. I ordered chicken pho. The chicken pieces were kinda gross. Way too much fat and tendon. Normally when you order pho to go, you get a bowl big enough to hold it all with all the stuff and a separate container of the broth. They sent the broth and put all the stuff in a plastic salad container. You can't pour broth into a salad takeaway container and the soup container was too small to fit it all, so you had to put some into the broth and eat and then repeat and eat in waves. Super annoying and poor experience, especially without any utensils. It would have been so easy to make this a wonderful customer experience, but they cheaped out on gross chicken and proper containers, and didn't check the note about cilantro (a full 10% of the population has the gene where cilantro tastes like soap, seems a large enough percentage to check and make sure) I don't know if I'll ever visit San Francisco again, but if I do I definitely won't be eating here.
google avatar

Vivian H.

Yelp
Best pho place in San Francisco! Also their wonton soup is amazing, very good broth and quality of meat

Yelp
Unfortunately this place is no longer my favorite pho in the Bay Area, went there for lunch and was disappointed. Ordered #20 (now $16) but they forgot the beef balls, didn't notice until half way through thinking they were at the bottom of the soup. Didn't say anything thinking they just ran out of it and didn't tell me, but still got rung up for the combo and when I brought it up as I was about to pay, the waitress said I should've told them sooner. Oh well. Also, the broth is now a lot sweeter than before, not as much umami. Some of the beef cuts were thick and tough, had a lot of fat. I prefer places with thin cut rare beef. Pho2000 is now my go to spot. Hope this place improves.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is an oasis in the SoMa neighborhood. It is a calm, peaceful place with delicious food with fresh ingredients. The service is friendly and efficient. I like the soups here, and have enjoyed what I've explored from the menu so far. I admit, what is happening in the neighborhood, right outside this place is tough to walk through and see. I admire this business for hanging in there through the chaos of the neighborhood. The food is so good and reasonably priced, you will be glad you came in.

Yelp
I have been to several Vietnamese Restaurants all over San Francisco and also in Las Vegas... I have passed by Miss Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant many many many times while riding on the 14 Mission Bus... This was the one of the Vietnamese Restaurant that I have never thought that I would go and eat at Miss Saigon... I came here for lunch after my CCSF Class... And what I have ordered was A Thịt Gà Chiến Cơm Chicken Fried Rice I also requested a bud light... After When I Finished Up The Thịt Gà Chiến Cơm Chicken Fried Rice My Thịt Gà Chi all I can say is that I tasted really Good!!! And Also The Nữ Phúc Vụ Waitress who took my order & served me was very friendly & helpful!!!! If you Yelpers & Yelpettes like eating The Thịt Gà Chiến Cơm Chicken Fried Rice try going to Miss Saigon

Yelp
Came by for lunch the other day and it was a disappointing experience. The restaurant merely had a couple tables occupied during a weekday lunch visit. SOMA is an interesting neighborhood with numerous challenged residents which makes walking in the area special. The ambiance of the restaurant was dark with a record player playing music with a ton of static which was annoying at a minimum. Started off with the bun bo hue and it was a disaster. The broth was warm and it appeared to be a standard beef pho broth with a spoon of hot sauce. The noodles were al dente and the thicker bun bo hue noodles. However, the meats were very dry and tough, a huge disappointment. There was a bed of vegetables that didn't look super fresh either. The iced Vietnamese coffee was a touch watered down. ~$26/head after tax and gratuity for lunch.
google avatar

Lizzie S.

Yelp
Don't let the neighborhood outside fool you. Miss SaiGon offers a mean bowl of pho--my friend who grew up in Hanoi is a fan as well. It's family-owned and they also decorate around different holidays, making it fun to visit and see how they reuse and repurpose different decorations for different times of year. Would recommend the Butter Garlic Noodles, bun bo hue, and my Hanoi friend would always get #20, Pho Dac Biet (Beef Pho.) They also have Vietnamese desserts like Che Khoai Mon (taro pudding.) Portions are large, broth is rich, and they include a lot of meat. You can order online for pickup as well, or call in. Love the family that runs it!
google avatar

Yelp
I visited this location with a party of 6 for dinner. This area is not very parking friendly so I would recommend ride share or public transportation. I would not particularly recommend walking in the surrounding area. There was no wait so we were promptly seated. You know it's an Asian family run business when the service is fast and the person taking orders knows the menu item numbers by heart, and doesn't even need to write down the orders. I ordered a bun rieu (crab, tomato noodle soup). It came out piping hot and a very generous serving of noodles. I'm not sure if different regions of vietnam prepares bun rieu differently, but this broth was lighter than others I've had that were more pungent. It was still good and very satisfying meal. The meat balls were definitely made in house considering the irregular shapes (love that!). The portion size to price was also reasonable considering SF prices these days (~$15).
google avatar

Kaitlin D.

Yelp
Got a to go from here for the cold beef vermicelli noodles. Really good and a huge portion!
google avatar

Melissa A.

Yelp
I ordered through doordash. (I'm sorry, it's just late and I'm hungry). I ordered vermicelli bowl & spring rolls and it came really quick, service was really fast! I thanked the driver and I also want to thank the workers who took the time and made my delicious food. I was soo craving vermicelli (it's my favorite, soo fresh and tasty!) And thank you for dessert! (I love dessert)
google avatar

Robert C.

Yelp
I'm writing my review from inside the restaurant. I just finished a very delicious dinner. Ordered the pho dac biet and OH MAN Miss SaiGon is definitely worth going to if you're in the area First thing that hits you is the broth (a good sign). The broth has a very fragrant aroma. When you sip it, the broth is well seasoned and balanced. I would describe it as "savory-sweet", unlike typical pho places that has overly salty broth. No, this place gets it just right Second is the noodles. You don't get an island of noodles surrounded by an ocean of broth -- no no no, here you get a VERY generous amount of noodles All in all, the quality and quantity of food is worth the price. I will definitely come here again if I'm in the area
google avatar

Poonam M.

Yelp
This place is my go to pho place. The pho here is simple and delicious and the service here is amazing . I usually get the chicken pho which is clean and somewhat healthy minus the sodium. The ice Thai tea is the best and worth giving it a shot. They do not have alternative milks so you have to take the plunge and get it with dairy. I usually order via Uber eats or sometimes I go in and the area is alright just watch your back.

Marshall McDonald ..

Yelp
Ordered takeout bun Bo hue: what I received was some broth that was a mixer of Pho broth ton of chilli oil pepper on the side. A non-viet namese person may be trick easily. Ordered Che ba mau: coconut was stale tasting. I am Vietnamese and look forward to good food when I come to the city. Figured it was safe with a 4 stars rating. This was a let down.
google avatar

Jacob M.

Yelp
Must-try: Their ribeye dishes Why? Some of the best Vietnamese I've had in SF, very cheap too. Loved their spring rolls and peanut sauce too - kind staff though the interior is a little dated. Protip: Be careful in the surrounding area
google avatar

Adel W.

Yelp
The exterior is lowkey, but the inside is decked out! I was craving Pho and some Viet food; the prices were not as cheap as I was hoping but the food was decent. I really liked the meat on my 17b, and broth was good but there was a bone shard :( Also would not recommend the strawberry smoothie (they just didn't give me boba cause they ran out) as it tasted pretty artificial and weird. I don't know if I'd gravitate towards this spot unless I was really close by in the area.
google avatar

Dominique C.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant two times. The first time I ordered garlic noodles with fillet mignon. The garlic noodles were dry and the filet mignon was over cooked. This time, I ordered #57 the bird's nest. The presentation was very appealing but there were some nicks. There was lobster ball in it and there was a weird taste to it. It felt like they stored the lobster balls for a long time because there wasn't enough people ordering meals that used lobster balls. There was other noncommonly used seafood that has a weird taste. The noodles were super crispy.

Yelp
To think that there are people who rate this restaurant anything lower than 5 stars is craaazy to me. As someone who was born and raised in Vietnam and eats pho 2-3x a week, I can say this restaurant is top 5 Pho places I've ever had in my life. For context, I've had Pho in Westminster and San Jose, which are basically Pho-capitals in the U.S, and Miss Saigon is still up there with the best of the best. All of their Pho options are good, but the top 3 are: 1. Pho Dac Biet (Assorted Beef) 2. Pho Tai Mem (Filet Mignon) 3. Pho Ga (Chicken) - Broth: you can't get more authentic than this; the broth is always perfectly seasoned and you could tell they let the beef bones simmer for 12+ hours. Reminds me of the Pho I used to eat growing up in Vietnam - Meat Quality: I've eaten lots of rare and medium rare beef from Miss Saigon and never had any problem. I love how sweet and tender their meat is - Customer Service: excellent both in-person and to-go online orders. Also if you're reading this, thank YOU Miss Saigon's staff who always gives me an extra dessert when I ordered over DoorDash/UberEats - these dessert made my days many times :) - Portion size: each of their 'regular' bowl is American-portioned, that means that for less than $20, you get a massive Pho bowl. Also when you order to-go, which is often the case for me as parking around the restaurant is hard to find and quite sketchy, they give you just as big of a portion. True story I had to buy a big ass Pho bowl from Amazon to fit all of the food in one bowl LOL

Yelp
**Review for DoorDash order only** It's 5 pm on a Friday. I'm waiting for CK to come home. Right before he does, he and our friends text us in a group chat - "Hey, how fast can you guys pack to go to Vegas?" CK and I had just came back from Asia the weekend before, so I was expecting a chill weekend. I start freaking out cause we end up booking a spontaneous trip to Vegas 3 hrs before take off. We quickly pack, book a hotel while we're at the airport, gamble till 3 am, went to a day club to see Zedd, got drunk, I threw up, and chilled the rest of the time then gambled some more. Lets just say Mandy - 0 and Vegas - 1. Anyways, we land back in OAK and as we're riding the Uber home, our roomie asks if we want pho. We say sure and order whatever they're getting. ... and This is the story of how I was introduced to Miss Saigon. I've heard of Miss Saigon here and there, but never bothered to try it since it is located probably in the sketchiest district in the city (Tenderloin). I also don't normally eat pho or order it through door dash. I'm glad my friend introduced me to it cause it's sooo good - and that's not hungover Mandy talking! I've ordered it a couple times now and it still does not disappoint. We ordered #17b - Pho Tai Mem - rice noodle with filet mignon rare beef. Tender and perfectly thinly sliced. Their broth is refreshing and very flavorful. This is my new go-to pho when I'm hungover or when I want a refreshing beef pho. I'd also like to add that I love their packaging. From previous pho orders at other restaurants, they usually throw all the toppings into a dinky bag or saran wrap. Miss Saigon neatly puts their toppings in a plastic to-go container and everything is packaged nicely when it arrives at my door. From the past few times we've ordered, they give us a little dessert! But that's usually when we order at least 4 orders. Definitely recommend Miss Saigon for pho! My only sadness is that they're not DashPass, so it's a few extra dollars for delivery, but they're worth those extra fees, hehe. :')

Yelp
Miss Saigon is an adorable oasis in a pretty funky neighborhood. Reasonable prices and very good food makes for a terrific lunch spot.

Yelp
This place is super underrated! We went here for a quick mean during lunch and the food was yummy, quick service, super kind. We also got some dessert to go and everything tasted so fresh and just felt authentic. The server was super happy and friendly and made our experience even better. Please give this place a try!

Yelp
I stumbled across this place last year because it is in our neighborhood. I love it, this locations pho is so tasty and it has so much flavor compared to a lot of other pho places. As attached, we ordered #17 and my ALL TIME GO TO #18. The small bowl is deceiving because there is actually a lot of noodles. I also ordered the che ba mau! This pho restaurant adds corn in that drink and it's something different I like. We also ordered the coconut milk drink. So good! I noticed a hair in my pho right when it came out. I brought that up to the server and they immediately gave me a new bowl, no questions asked. I appreciated that! Although the small hiccup, I will still come back to this place and grab me a bowl of pho. This place is not too busy and I can only imagine because of the area it is in. Please stop by here if you are ever in the area!

Yelp
a hidden gem for vietnamese food in the mid market area. i came here for dinner with a group of friends on a particularly cold fall evening, and the food here hit the spot. walking in, there weren't a lot of people here for dinner (then again, this was a weekday evening and the apec conference was happening around this time), so we got seated pretty quickly. i ordered the veggie pho, which was amazing! the food did not take long to arrive, and it came fresh and hot. while the broth tasted great, and veggies super crunchy, i felt like there was too much noodles (but if that's your thing then this place is for you!). moreover, this place really is a diamond in the rough, as parking around this area is awful, and you should be aware of your surroundings when venturing near here. while the exterior leaves a lot of be desired, the interior is gorgeous and welcoming.

Yelp
Food is so damn good it's gonna turned into Mrs. Saigon one day. It's just as delicious as I remembered. I wish I lived closer! I haven't visited it in a few years and it still managed to have the same great quality and hospitality. It's a few blocks away from the downtown area if you're looking for wholesome meals. We like to do a la carte style here. The Banh Xeo was CHEF KISS! - crispy, meaty and pairs so damn well with their fish sauce. I also inhaled the coffee for sure. So fast I doubt the ice even melted. We devoured everything. I am still dreaming of the next time I'll visit and who else I can share this wonder with. Highly recommend trying if you're in the area!

Yelp
Colleague recommended this place for lunch. Hit it today with a group of 8. Had the beef Vietnamese sandwich. Was fantastic. Most everyone got some noodle and spring roll combo they all seemed to love. Food = 5 stars. Location at Mission and 6th is... challenging, but doable during the day. Maybe, a 2? My fuzzy math total = 4 stars

Yelp
I've been coming here for quite some time I always order kind of the same thing but the service is outstanding specially the server Jung who seems very friendly and very polite to me every time I come to her store usually I order to go but can't imagine how pleasant can be to dine in with such a welcoming environment music tvs and some decorations

Yelp
We had the best bun here. It was late and we'd just arrived in the city, our second California stop on our trip. We know the city well and while our favorites in Union Sqaure didn't survive the pandemic, we figured this neighborhood had never disappointed and we were really just looking for a quick, tasty meal and a chance to catch our breath. The service was fast and super friendly. We're strictly gluten-free and they knew their menu and each dish, double checked, and then let us know which dishes would be best for us. We each had the bun with shrimp and it was delicious. For dessert, I had the flan, a twist on the dish with a coconut sauce. I inhaled it. I can't emphasize enough how kind and welcoming the servers were. The area has definitely been impacted by the pandemic and our society's unwillingness to care for the most vulnerable. If you're not comfortable going in person, they clearly do a big Door Dash business and you can get take out!
