Highlights

"Off of the Morse Redline, in Rogers Park, is Chicago's newest arcade bar. Featuring classics like Galaga Mortal Kombat, Pac Mac in addition to 40+ arcade games and pinballs. Play board games from your childhood or catch a VHS at the bar; Mission Control will bring the nostalgia and fun new memories. Come for the games but stay for the local drafts, "arcade-style" snacks and craft cocktails. Mission Control is a perfect place for gathering your friends, a date night or hanging with your "cool" parents. The bar hosts monthly Art pop-ups, VHS Horror Night every Wednesday and regular kitchen takeovers by the Bare Naked Pole (homemade pierogi)."

"Mission Control Arcade Bar is permanently closed after more than two years. A place with beer, cocktails, and pub grub, it was co-founded by Katie McDonald and former Uptown Arcade owner Aaron Allen." - Naomi Waxman

"An arcade bar might not be the most logical place to find a great pierogi, but when did the search for good food ever follow logic? Mission Control happens to be the home of the Bare Naked Pole, which pops up four nights a week, Wednesday through Sunday. Pierogis come in traditional flavors like potato, but also experimental ones like lemon berry and reuben. Keep an eye on the Bare Naked Pole’s Instagram for other pop-up locations." - aimee.levitt, Ashok Selvam

This place has a great vibe, tho definitely more dive-y. My negatives are that the women's bathroom was kinda jank, only two of the 4 stalls were operational; and that the change machines ran out of quarters by 10pm. There were two bartenders but only one of them seemed to be handling most of the drinks, and seemed pretty overwhelmed, so there was a bit of a wait to place an order. Maybe it was a fluke night. Aside from that, they do have a good variety of games (most reqired quarters, tho some were free), they also have a ton of boardgames, so my group enjoyed that after we and the bar ran out of quarters. When we got there, they did have free popcorn and water, which was cool. Despite the negatives, would still come back. Generally had a good time!

Great atmosphere, excellent beer selection, and exceptional service. My favorite local bar in RP and definitely worth checking out. Make sure to bring cash for the games- pop up food on the weekends is 💣

Great drinks & Staff. I’ve been coming here for over a year and the new bartender Rachel was beyond amazing this evening and has definitely leveled up the cocktails. Looking forward to enjoying more of her drinks at the Wednesday event night.

Amazing ambiance, tons of free games, great beer selection and in-house fresh polish food! What more could you ask for?!? Check it out right off the Morse red line stop and I promise you won't be disappointed. I love this place and I hope you will, too.

Old school movies. Great environment. My friend and I are making this our weekly spot. I love that this bar doesn’t feel like you’re on top of each other.

Missed potential. Really excited to have a place like this in the neighborhood but it could be so much better. Games and atmosphere are great! But... the bartenders are too far gone to do their jobs. Had to remind a bartender 10+ times the two beers we ordered and to give change. The other bartender was super rude when someone who doesn't drink ordered a soda. A bartender myself, it was super hard to watch. Will be back but not my first option.

The bartender was great. The crowed was super friendly. My only issue is that a all the Hip-Hop/Rap music is filtered (besides Drake for some reason.) My friend noticed it right away when we wanted to spend money on the juke box. I asked a regular if they were aware of it and I was told it was the owners doing -_- Probably won’t come back anytime soon because of this. As a person of color, I got the impression that people like me aren’t their desired crowd…

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I've followed the journey of this place since they were on Broadway in Uptown. Katie and Aaron are amazing people. They're the most gracious hosts to dozens of Chicago artists and makers too. Their monthly art market pop ups have a super cool vibe. I've discovered so many new artist friends through them! I'd be remiss if I didn't also mention a piece of Jeff Goldblum tribute art that I donated to the bar. When you go, look around the bar for a bust of his final transformation as "The Fly".
