The best sandwich in New York for me. Lovely staff, very tasty and fresh ingredients, the sandwich was about the size of my head but still ate it in about 5 minutes because the bread was so light and delicious. Can’t recommend enough.

Heavy metal sandwich shop, the guy at the front bar was extremely nice and patient while we looked at the menu, answering any questions we had and providing great customer service. I don't usually listen to the type of metal being played over the speakers in the restaurant but their choices were excellent and provided me some great tunes while I ate my sandwich. Portion size was excellent for the price coupled with the house made sauces to accompany each sandwich. I live several hours outside the city upstate, but I will definitely be back whenever I'm in Brooklyn.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great! The location is really nice. The Grand Ferry Park is a couple blocks away and a great spot to take your sandwiches to go, sit and watch the waterway and see the Manhattan skyline!

Fantastic fusion Sandwich shop. First look at the menu you would think it’s overpriced however your mind change quickly when you see the size of these monster sandwiches. Each sandwich is literally the size of a football and packed within their own carrying tote. I was curious based on all the social media videos and in the Steve Byrne sandwich so many are raving about. Let’s just say first and every ensuing bite was a flavor bomb explosion. I cannot wait to return for another speciality And oh yeah, everyone of their large sandwich can feed minimum two people. What a great concept sandwich shop.

Mission Sandwich Social Club sits at the corner of Bedford and Second St. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, but this isn’t anything like your favorite corner store, or sandwich shop. I’ve been meaning to come here for years. In the words of a wise man, “Today, I got time, cuz!” I ordered the Steve Byrne, Havana Spice Club, and the Peking Turkey. The one word to describe these sandwiches is INTENTIONAL. The Peking Turkey is something to marvel with bean sprouts, picked carrots, and scallions complimenting that turkey. Believe it or not, this came in 3rd place for me! The Havana Spice Club is a play on the traditional Cuban Sandwich, with Turkey. My goodness. The way this tastes is an experience for a spice lover like me. Every bite is a “yeah, that’s good, but wait for this” kind of experience. I didn’t get to capture the Steve Byrne, but that’s because I was too busy enjoying it. What I can say is “My Goodness.” They don’t short you on the flavorful bulgogi and man, with Kimchi and seasoned Fries on it?! It was the best one! Man, no more words -Mission, I would be back next week if I wasn’t an explorer!

I FINALLY had the opportunity to swing by Mission Sandwich today and it did NOT disappoint. However, before I get to the food, I'd like to note how clean and orderly everything was at Mission Sandwich. Plus the counter was also very tidy. It's the little things that go a long way. In addition the staff were very attentive and friendly. As for the sandwiches - WOW. I ordered the "Big Lucca" and not only was it delicious but the ingredients were very fresh. In addition the bread chosen to make the sandwiches is also top notch. The "Dutch Crunch" sourdough bread was tasty and soft. Apparently it's popular in the Bay area. BONUS: I found out about Mission Sandwich via a YouTube channel I watch often called "Chef Brian Tsao" who is the owner of the shop. What a surprise when I was able to have a quick chat with him when I was there! He is a true gentleman. Pro-tip: There are PLENTY of vegetarian AND vegan options for the non meat eaters out there. 🙏 Also the small order was more than enough for me, but I think the large would be a great option to split.

Good sandwich shop with some innovative fillings all served in some really great bread! I had the big Lucca on my last visit and it hit the spot - maybe a tad too much vinegar for my taste but still really good and really really filling. I will say that unless you’re absolutely starving you probably only need a small - with a large perfect to share.

Best sandwich in NYC, hands down. The dutch crunch bread is unlike anything I've had before and elevates everything they make. Not to mention they DO NOT skimp on ingredients. If you live in NYC, you must go. If you're from out of town visiting, you must go. Brian's a wizard!

I have been to Mission Sandwich with my boyfriend a number of times and it never disappoints! Mission should be crowned the best sandwiches in NYC! I keep changing up the sandwich that I get and each one has touched my soul! During my most recent visit to Mission Sandwich my boyfriend and I ordered the Tommy Cutlet, he had his as is and I had mine with the vegetarian chicken; the pesto and the burrata were oozing out the sides and each bite took me to euphoria! I have dreamed of this sandwich and my boyfriend and I agree that our lives have been changed for the better because of it! If you are looking for a California style sandwich on Dutch crunch bread that will blow your mind, look no further than Mission Sandwich! Thanks for continuing to uphold quality and for always changing my life with each and every sandwich.

This is a great option if you're looking to change it up from Court St Grocers or are missing the superb sandwich stylings of Troppo Stretto (RIP). While this isn't quite on the level of TS, it's a close substitute. Big Lucca is enormous and fantastic and I will be back for more.

So now I have officially tried 4 different sandwiches here and the good ones are GREAT...and the other 2 sucked and I wish I could get my money back lol. So def get the Alyssa Milano and the Peking Turkey! Both were excellent!! Def DO NOT get the Steve Byrne or the Overachiever. Both were sloppy disasters. The Steve Byrne at least had flavor...the Overachiever was hard to get through on all fronts. Messy, too much going on, no sauce except vinegar that soaked the bun and all the napkins. Very bland/confusing and the textures were weird - mushy, wet lettuce and eggplant, ech.

I've been waiting years to finally try this place and it exceeded expectations in every way possible. The criticisms of this place I feel are very unfair. Yes, it's expensive, but it's one of the best sandwiches I've had in years and I had 2 meals out of it. Yes, the sandwiches are so big, it's nigh impossible to eat neatly, BUT THATS THE POINT! I actually sent this as one of 3 choices for lunch to a friend visiting and it was no contest: must go to Mission. The bread is fantastic, the topping combinations are truly unique, the service is great, and they really do a swift and delicious business. The David Byrne was stellar. Bulgogi, mozz, kimchi, and fries with ranch - I'm so glad this was my entry to this incredible sandwich shop. I will be back. I can't wait.

Instantly obsessed with this place that I told everyone about it! It lives up to the hyper for sure. The sandwiches were MASSIVE! The photo doesn't do it justice to the pure girth of these bad boys. I will be coming back to try more but probably just get the half size. It was so unique and flavorful. I wish I could give this 6 stars

Took a little trip to BK for sandwiches. Not not a big place, but I had enough seats for a handful of people. The service is great, friendly and accommodating to my dietary needs. We got the Bug Lucca and Tim Howley, they were hefty delicious sandwiches with soft but sturdy Dutch bread. You don't realize how big the sandwich is until you get it. Big Lucca was a Italian-ish sandwich with a twist of roast beef, which is what sold my partner, but could have done without the messy mayo. Tim Howley had tender juicy chicken with a flavorful Peruvian green sauce. Sounds simple, and looks a mess, but it's delicious, tasted just as good the next day. Would definitely get again!

The sandwich I ordered was absolutely packed with dripping condiments and dressing. It was very difficult to eat with so much "stuff " in it. The main ingredient was turkey. The turkey was not cooked but from a store type breast. IThe sandwiches come in small and large sizes. I would have preferred a simpler sandwich. The sandwiches are fairly expensive as well. It really didn't justify the price. There is a corner deli across the street and I think I would have done just as well for a lot less.

I ordered the Tim Howley - SUPER tasty. No one can say it's not but the construction of it is pretty terrible. Sandwich is overly stuffed with shredded lettuce and the bread is "hard" enough that it doesn't tear with each bite so you're left eating the guts of the sandwich on their own or off your plate and bread with nothing but sauce and melted cheese. Their tomato soup is a bit acidic for me and kind of tastes like pizza sauce. The cheesy bread is their sandwich bread with melted cheese in it, nothing spectacular there. Would I order from here again? Yeah, it tastes good enough - I'll try a different sandwich to see if it falls apart again to know for sure. A small isn't massive imo like other people have said. It's like a 6in sub I guess. I couldn't find anywhere that said how big a small vs a large was. Wish I had gone with a large. But, next time. Flavor of sandwich GREAT Construction of Sandwich TERRIBLE Soup - There's a reason the name doesn't shout out their soup.

Two stars because the service was good and professional. The restaurant was basic with 4 stools to eat but clean. I ordered the Korean Seoul and it was sooo salty not enjoyable at all. I also ordered the cheese bread with tomato soup. That was not soup, it was more like tomato sauce and also very salty. I didn't not enjoy my $30 meal

A decadent sandwich. Large is substantial to share. They have some window seating in store but not traditional sit down. Sandwiches are jam packed. Service is swift. Pricing is standard - would return to try some of those other sandwiches!!

I came here with friends on a Sunday afternoon. They have giant sandwiches usually named after celebrities (Taylor Swiss of course haha). My friends shared the large Steve Bryne (Korean BBQ Beef Bulgogi, Kimchi, French Fries, Melted Fresh Mozzarella, Ranch, Scallion, Lettuce, Korean Chili Rice Wine Vinaigrette) and I ordered the small Peking Turkey (Turkey, Cheddar, Hoisin Sesame Dressing, Sriracha, Pickled Carrot, Scallion, Cucumber, Bean Sprout, Mayo, Fresh Picked Cilantro). I did not know who Steve Bryne was but apparently he's a comedian (thanks Google). The sandwiches were gigantic and even though I'm not a sandwich person, the ingredients were fresh and high quality. It was very messy to eat since there's a bit too much sauce and all the filling falls out since the sandwich is packed. I would come back though, there's a lot of sandwiches on the menu.

Outstanding sandwich. Truly a lights out sandwich. The amount of depth of flavor this sandwich has is MASSIVE. I tried finding the hole in the sandwich I had (the Peking Turkey), but I could not. Firstly, the bread is crunchy and chewy, the perfect binding agent that makes this sandwich special. Then comes the bean sprouts, then the pickled carrots, cucumbers, a little bit of heat from the sriracha, finally getting a hit of the turkey, which is moist and carries enough flavor to bring home an insane symphony of flavors. That run-on sentence is well-deserved in this review. In other words, this sandwich is basically a Banh Mi on crack, which is never a bad thing to someone like me who loves a Banh Mi. The heavy metal vibe goes well here, as these sandwiches are totally punk rock and metal put together. They offer other varieties of sandwiches, so I will definitely be returning to try another one. Now I have an excuse to come back to Williamsburg, a neighborhood I am never too fond of visiting. Dynamite. *Bumps fist*

This place has been on my try list for a while now and finally got the chance to get a sandwich. I tried the "spicy Nicky chicky Parm". Pros: the Dutch bread is really really good, friendly service and the place is clean. Cons: it's very expensive... 15 dollars for a tiny sandwich is a lot and the bigger one will cost you around 23 bucks. The chicken was not good and barely edible for me. How you pick that kind of chicken for a sandwich that costs that much is beyond me. Overall: was not a great sandwich and can get alot better and more affordable options in the area.

Great big Hardy sandwich. I got the big Luca and it is delicious. It's a wet sandwich, probably dripped with vinegar or something sweet. It's not bad and it doesn't destroy the sandwich, but it was more of a wet sandwich than I thought. The roast beef and salami is great. The shredded lettuce is delectable. Every bite was super tasty. Friendly service. I'm stuffed.

I thought this sandwich was so delicious! I ordered the large and was only able to finish half, it was huge! The flavors were great, not too overpowering but not bland at all (i think the avocado made the texture a little mushy but I still enjoyed it a lot). I really love the bread taste and texture. I'd like to go and check out the place next time!

I visited this sandwich spot the other day and I was blown away. This was my first time coming here so I decided to try the Valencia sandwich. The cashier was nice and friendly. He made my sandwich very quick. I was the only person in the store and it was very quiet. The Valencia has a variety of meats and it was very delicious. The sandwich had turkey, salami, soppressata, sweet peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano and red chili flakes. I was so impressed with the flavor. I ate the entire sandwich it was good. I'll definitely come back to try other sandwich options on the menu.

Yummy sandwiches on even yummier bread!! My friend and I got two sandwiches and shared and they were both delicious! The first was the turkey sandwich which had a fabulous harissa mayo on it and the second was a BLT. Absolutely recommend checking them out! They also had yummy snacks, drinks, and coffees available. We got a sprinkled cookie and it was a heavenly to start with!

Absolute gem in the neighborhood. Great service and a friendly attentive owner. Creative with all the various sandwiches he envisions. Large huge portions that can cover multiple meals or shared with others. Fast service. The dutch crunch bread here is to die for. The sandwiches in the crunchy soft bread makes it a go to. Highlight items for me are the Gobbler, turkey and bacon just hits of freshness and flavor. The Steve Byrne is also a go to favorite for me. Just working my way through every sandwich on the menu. It's a go to spot that i'll be back at.

Some of the casual eateries along Bedford Avenue truly offer the best of what Williamsburg has to offer. Between a glass of Adeni chai at Qahwah House and an epic vegetarian sandwich at Mission Social, what more could you want? I ordered a sandwich with a spiced Peruvian tofu substitute for chicken. My favorite part was the savory bread, a variety called "Dutch Crunch" which is apparently widely available in SF, but that I had never heard of. The sandwich was stuffed to the brim with mild tofu steaks and a nice mix of green hot sauce and guacamole. If anything, the tofu probably could have used a bit more flavor in the marinade - but still an eminently satisfying meal.

Bussin sandwich. I got this for pick up but the staff was friendly and the order pick up was ready on time. Inside is just a regular sandwich shop but I 110% would eat again and the small size was big enough for me.

We placed an order online ahead of time since we knew there can be a wait. Right as we arrived they were wrapping up our sandwiches so it was perfect timing! We headed down to the river to enjoy our sandwiches. This was my first time visiting with two big Mission Sandwich Social lovers and especially the Tim Howley sandwich lovers. I had the Raging Bull and I really liked it! There have been some comments about the construction of the sandwiches not holding up but ours held up very well on that specific day so we were happy we could enjoy easily. Looking forward to returning when we visit NYC again.

Sandwich lovers, pay attention. Mission Sandwich serves more than just standard cold cuts on white bread. Even better, they actually respect that vegetarians want more than grilled cheese when it comes to sandwiches. I'm really not one to ever opt to eat a sandwich over say, a bowl of noodles, or even a salad, but I can get down with the occasional good one when a place is as thoughtful with the combination of ingredients as MSS. They have a long (but not dizzyingly so) menu, and a vegetarian menu just as long as the meat-based one. I love a place that respects plant-based eaters. I quite liked my Raging Bull sandwich, made with grilled eggplant, aged provolone, fresh mozzarella, and spicy banana peppers. My favorite sandwich shop serves a sandwich I love that contains 3 different cheeses, so I realize one thing that makes up a good sandwich to me is if there are multiple types of cheese in it. Portion-wise, half a sandwich makes for a filling but reasonable lunch (at least for me), but dare to dream big and finish the whole thing in one sitting if you can. There's only one little counter by the window to stand and eat at, and a bench outside, so unless you're down with that plan, take your sandwich to go.

When I saw they serve their sandwiches on dutch crunch bread, I was so excited to try this place. I hadn't had dutch crunch since visitng the Bay Area. I ordered the Steve Byrne sandwich. I was a bit disappointed as the beef was dry and bland. The flavor combination was not as cohesive. Also the bread did not taste anything what I remembered it to taste like. It's a small sandwich shop where you order at the counter and wait to pay when your order is ready.

This spot scores on unique sandwiches! You can tell each is designed very specifically. I love the attention to detail. The bread is probably a huge factor in the quality of these sandwiches as well. The small feeds one and the large feeds two. Look, are they pricey? Yes. But, sandwiches are just crazy expensive in general these days. Staff is very kind and helpful. Not a large amount of seats but enough for a quick stop and go.

The Big Lucca lived up to its name! This sandwich was thick and meaty and fresh, everything you want in a deli sandwich! Of course this was my first time here and I was the only one so I chatted with the team working and they made all the recs for me and they didn't let me down - good guys! I'd definitely go back!

Mission Sandwich Social has long been on my to-try list and I'm very happy to finally be able to cross it off. I loved the menu, with its cheeky references to celebrities, and the sheer breadth of subs available. I was torn between the Big Lucca and the Steve Byrne so I opted for the latter ($16 small/$25 large) as the chef-owner, Brian Tsao, was on Beat Bobby Flay with his KBBQ short ribs. Although I ordered a small, the sandwich itself was still quite large and hefty (in fact, I stretched it out for two meals). The Dutch Crunch bread that they bake for their sandwiches was very light and crispy. I thought it was an interesting choice for a sandwich bread with its soft interior and sweet crunchy crust, and I imagine it would be phenomenal for some grilled cheese croutons in a tomato soup. The Steve Byrne came stuffed with KBBQ bulgogi, kimchi, french fries, mozzarella, ranch, scallions, lettuce, and a Korean chili rice wine vinaigrette. I thought the flavor combinations were very creative but I was sadly dismayed with how overly salty the bulgogi was. I could taste the sweetness in the marinade as well, but I did feel it was a tad too strong and bold in flavor, though I assume it was designed this way to counter the kimchi. It is a bit of a messy meal so I would highly recommend eating when you get back home or bringing it to nearby Domino Park for a little picnic. The kimchi juice and rice wine vinaigrette had nearly soaked the bottom layer of the sandwich by the time I opened my box from the short walk between the shop and my car which was parked across the street, which I wasn't a fan of either. If there was anything else I could change about the sandwich, I would really appreciate it if the ingredients were layered more evenly so I wouldn't get a bite of overly salty bulgogi on one end and a bite of ranch dressed lettuce on the other end. I'd still like to return to try the Big Lucca, which I'm hoping is a tad drier than the Steve Byrne.

We have had delivery from here a few times which have been great! Last night, I ordered via Postmates and stupidly had the incorrect address. When the delivery person called me and I realized what happened, I had no idea how to make it right. In my mind, I would probably just have to eat the cost but when I called up the restaurant directly, they were super nice and helpful. Even though it was past closing time, they were able to schedule a new delivery to my house. Highly recommend this place for their food and service.

Their sandwiches are massive, tasty and punny! I got their Gobbler which definitely reminded me of thanksgiving.

Are these sandwiches expensive? Yes. But are they DELICIOUS and GINORMOUS and worth it in my eyes? Also yes I would say, especially for a nice picnic lunch in Domino Park. We got the Post Melon and Hail Shawn to share between two people, and neither of us could finish more than half in one sitting. So basically it's $25 for two meals which isn't too bad. Post Melon - Never would I think I'd enjoy melon inside of a sandwich but this took me by surprise. It's definitely on the sweeter side with the fruit and honey, but it goes super well with the prosciutto and cheeses (mozzarella and provolone). Hail Shawn - I love sandwiches stuffed with meat and this had huge portions of both roast beef and the chicken cutlet. This was a monster to eat lol. Loved the touch of spice and sourness with the pickled jalapeños as well as the creaminess of the chipotle sauce. I'd order both of these again but first I'd wanna try some of the other choices on the menu. I love their wide range of flavor profiles so there's definitely something for everyone here, including vegetarians and vegans.

~3.5 stars, rounded up stopped at Mission Sandwich Social and picked up a "Gobbler." the flavors were really good -- turkey, provolone, onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato, & mayo on Dutch Crunch sub roll. the sub gives you that Thanksgiving feeling + extra flavors and textures like bacon and melted provolone. almost picked up a sandwich here a year ago when it first opened but decided to wait until the hype died down. and i am glad i did. ordered a "small" which is half of full sub. people talk about how huge these sandwiches are BUT they really are not that big whether you get a "small" or a "large" which is a full sub. the lettuce ends up being a lot of filler (almost too much) and the amount of premium ingredients end up being what you get at any sandwich shop or deli. considering the price, Mission's sandwiches ain't that big--like most "small" sandos range from $13-$16 and "larges" $21-$25 PLUS tax and tip. there are a number of sandwich destinations that serve huge sandwiches and their offerings are larger than Mission's and their prices are often less. overall, Mission combines flavors and ingredients really well imo and gets creative with the types of ingredients across its menu. the ingredients are quality. though i am not sure why people rave about Mission's bread--it's good but not really mind-blowing, considering the premium prices for sandos. the service is almost friendly but kinda curt. like one would expect a more lively vibe, but it's really its customers that bring the energy.

So I discovered Mission on IG and I had been wanting to stop in (it's a bit of a schlep but after having stopped by it was worth it). It's a small shop with high top counter seating and very clean. I was having a bit of a hard time deciding what sandwich to try (the menu is pretty extensive). I was tempted to get something out of the box like the Post Melon but I ended up with the Gobbler. I also grabbed a Diet Coke and a package of Thin Cookies (love that they sell them here). The guy helping me was so nice and helpful. I loved this sandwich, it was so cute in the carrying tote. The turkey was fresh and the best part was the Dutch Crunch bread. I have seen it before but never tried it. I wish there was a bit more Cranberry on it but overall, I definitely loved this place and I will go back soon.

Very well known sandwich spot on Bedford that always has people waiting outside and delivery men in and out of its doors! Walked in on a Sunday late afternoon and there were quite a few people waiting for their orders. Split the valencia with my partner and it took a good twenty minutes. But definitely worth the wait! While pricey, these sandwiches are very clearly made with love and stuffed to the brim. I think splitting one among two people is plenty! The sandwiches also come in cute little takeout boxes with handles which I love. The valencia reminded me a lot of the italian pub sub (iykyk) I will most definitely be back here and am excited to make it my go-to spot for summer picnics in domino park.

I've been here a few more times and stand by my original rating of being the best sandwich shop in town. I tried the Havana spice club sandwich with tofu and it was great as well. Yes, $20 for a sandwich is intense but these sandwiches will keep you full for the day so it's worth it. I also tried their tomato soup which tasted as expected, but nothing to write home about. In any case, glad to see them going strong!

My favorite sandwich spot in nyc...don't really have to say much more than that. Incredible ingredients - they test extremely fresh and mesh together extremely well. They have to some of the best sandwich bread in the city.

I loved how the sandwiches here are huge and packed with a ton of fresh ingredients! I got the Mr Cain which had Turkey, roast beef, lettuce, pickles, and some other toppings. All the flavors were perfect, there's not a thing I would change about this sandwich (other than the fact that it got a bit soggy after a while). The worker in the store was also so nice and helped me choose which sandwich to get when I was conflicted between two options. The food came out so quickly and the staff was funny and nice. I also tried a bite of my friends Post Melón which I liked better than the Mr Cain, but both are good options! The Post Melón had a good mix of sweet and savory with the addition of melon slices which was unique.

Great sandwich - flavor is there, ingredients are good. Eat ability- the large size makes it super hard to eat on the go! However portion sizes for the price you pay is warranted. Packaging was a pleasant surprise!

My sandwich had barely anything on it. All of the pictures I saw of their sandwiches were packed with stuff. Mine was basically just chicken with one tomato slice and a few shreds of lettuce. Chicken was seasoned well but was very let down by literally everything else.

Two words: BLOWN AWAY! So one of my fav sandwiches of all time is a Fat Pilgrim from a sandwich shop(s) in Cali called Fat Sal's. It only comes out around Thanksgiving and I'm hardly in Cali during this time so it's rare when I get to have this sandwich. I say this because its a sandwich that focuses on all the Thanksgiving fixin's. This is the closest I've had to that sandwich but also stands alone and also it's totally awesome in its own way. First, shout out to the menu curator. When you have an epic menu such as theirs and you're able to switch it up to accommodate dietary needs, major points to you. A good portion of these sandwiches can be made into vegetarian/ vegan version of their OG form. I got The Super Gobbler 2021 because I'm a sucker for a sandwich with all my fav Thanksgiving dishes. Cranberry sauce, cornbread stuffing, turkey, cheddar cheese and, of course, gravy! Soooooo good! Their bread is out of this world. And the way this sandwich is packed, you think it will spill all over, but they know to to build a sandwich here. Finally, the staff was super nice and friendly. They gave us recommendations and we also chatted a bit about the holidays. Can't rave enough about this spot and I want to try all their sammies. Signing off - The Sandwich Queen

Gimmick and hype meet inflation. Overall sandwiches sound great but execution is so so depending on what you get. Some have not so great cuts/slices when it comes to meats/cheeses/other ingredients that would make the sandwich that much better if done right. When during what seemed a bit so busy time and the Howley felt fairly dry for what it's described as. The actual chicken in the sandwich was good and the bread is great, but honestly it feels like a place that gets creative without factoring in true cost of ingredients. Once it realizes it, the cost is passed onto the consumer. $20+ for a full sandwich seems a bit exorbitant. Other places usually justify it with quality of ingredients, this place sadly does not. The crunch bread is a saving grace for it, but otherwise, I'd rather go to a few other options before this. Good concept and social media presence but falls short on making an actually enjoyable sandwich for the price.

I think I have to try other options but for $26 the Steve Byrne was good but not amazing. It was a bit too saucy for me but that could've just been because of the Korean style sandwich. I'd definitely go back and try other option to see if there's a WOW factor.

So I found this spot off of some Instagram post. The pictures and sandwiches had me drooling so I made a trip to Brooklyn to see if the quality matched the photos.... They did. When I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff. One of the gentleman behind the counter asked me what I like and when I offered my top two choices, he helped me split the hair. The Steve Byrne was influenced by a recipe from his mother but something about the Four Horseman stood out to me. The sandwich's are large and well worth the price. It took about 10'mins to make it and then I was off. Nowhere to sit and eat onside but there are a few stand up counter options outside. I never had this bread before but it was good. A must try!

Please consider coming here for your sandwich fix. The sandwich was outta this world. It's a pretty hefty sandwich so I do recommend sharing with a friend. I ordered the short rib sandwich which the chef actually competed against Bobby Flay?! That's another story in itself. Anyways, my boyfriend and I wanted to try a New York chop cheese so we intended to wait for our friends at a local bodega across the st from Mission Sandwich. One of the neighborhood guy that stood on the corner told us we needed to try Mission sandwich and that there's always a line, "sometimes they sell out of their speciality monthly sandwich". So we ofc gave it a try. The sandwich was good, tasty and had the right rations of veggies to meat to bread. $26 a sandwich is pricey and wishing it was a bit more affordable but none the less would come here again. We also ended up ordering a chop cheese too so got the best of both worlds.

Alright!!! AllFunNYC from Instagram again to tell you y you all that I had one amazing sandwich! Sooo I came here for the first time and wow!! It was incredible!!! The staff was super friendly! And they made one amazing sandwich!! I had the TIM HOWLEY Peruvian Chicken Breast, Pepperjack, Spicy Peruvian Green Sauce, Guacamole, Lettuce, Tomato, Fresh Picked Cilantro! Wowwwww! The delicious spicy Peruvian sauce was just to die for! The chicken perfectly cook! And everything was just wow!! And the sandwich is huuugeeeee! Two people can easily eat from one sandwich anyways yumm! Recommend 100%

This place is five stars across the board! Chef Tsao and his staff were immediately so welcoming and helpful in deciding our sandwiches. Our favorite was definitely Post Melon, and I am not a huge fan of sweet and savory together so that says a lot. We also got the Tim Howely, which was particularly messy but delicious! We of course also got the Steve Byrne, which was also great. Each sandwich came in the "niftiest" take out box. On the bottom of each was a napkin, wet nap, and even a tootsie roll lollipop! Chef Tsao also came out later and gave my little one cookies and a sticker. I was impressed by everything from beginning to end, and would absolutely go back again to support their culinary family!

We were excited to hear a SF style sandwich shop was finally opening in the city. It's pretty much impossible to get Dutch Crunch here. We stopped by on a Saturday to grab a sandwich for lunch. We got the Big Lucca which is a named after a well known deli in SF. The sandwich was smaller than expected, as the ones in SF are huge and enough to share with one or two people. Unfortunately it was mostly filled with lettuce and not much meat so it wasn't very filling. We may try another sandwich if we're in the neighborhood again. Hopefully it will be more satisfying.

It was a good sandwich. It was a great sandwich, even. It was $21. Sure, it's massive, but the thought of paying $21 for a sandwich (and that was one of the cheaper ones!!) is tough to stomach. I would have a much easier time paying $10 for a half size. It seems ridiculous that they don't offer that since a reasonable person cannot finish a full one, and sandwiches don't save well as leftovers. I got the bensonhurst and my only minor complaint was that I wish there had been more sauce, but the chicken was *chef's kiss* delicious and the prosciutto was generously layered on. The broccoli rabe was a bit too bitter for my liking but that's broccoli rabe for you...I just didn't think through my order. Definitely super creative sandwiches and worth the price if you have someone to split it with...but good lord, please start offering half sizes so I can justify a return visit!

Ok- after seeing this place featured on CBS Mornings for 3 days in a row, I knew I had to try it. So, we made the 1 hour drive from Long Island on a Saturday afternoon because we also love this area of Brooklyn. There wasn't much of a line which was a good thing. Ordering was easy... the choices were great and I wanted to try several. We decided on the Steve Byrne & the Coney Island Ski Club. Have to mention, the two subs and 2 sodas came out to $59.44 (ouch!). It was about a 15 minute wait from ordering to pick up window. We grabbed our boxes - the presentation is cute AF - and walked 3 blocks to the waterfront park to enjoy the outdoors. They were both tasty sandwiches. The Steve Byrne was favored over the Coney Island Club but the bread was a real standout on both. That Dutch Crunch bread really brings it all together. So, the sandwiches come in these cute black cardboard boxes with a 'hello my name is' sticker. In the box is a wet wipe, napkin and tootsie roll lollipop. As I said, cute AF. Bottom line: would we go back? Probably not. The travel time and the pricing for the sandwiches were not worth it to me. It was great to try and I don't regret the bites I ate but I neither one of us were pressed to go back. There are so many other great eats in that area. The kitsch is cute but $25 for a takeout sandwich is a bit much. Truthfully there wasn't a lot of meat on the sandwich. Mostly 'stuff'. If I'm going to pay that price for a sandwich I'll stick with one that gives me the full bang for my buck like a Katz pastrami. Anyway, it's a nice concept and a good sandwich. The service was good and the workers were quite personable.
