Mito - Review - Fort Greene - New York - The Infatuation

"Fort Greene is the latest location for Mito, a mini-chain of large Japanese restaurants with locations in Long Island and Westchester. The menu ranges widely from sushi, to noodles, and proteins off the grill. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Will Hartman

The best ever restaurant in nyc! Hotel restaurant quality with great price. After I tasted food here, this became the only restaurant I go. My boyfriend could not eat fish at all because he is sensitive to fishy smell but he came to like fish after tasting mito's fresh fish without any smell but rich flavor. I come here at least 3 times a week... so many different dishes and I need to taste them all!!

Ordered take out from them and I would recommend from this selection…. The pork dumplings! The California roll was good but as we know there not much that can make a California roll outstanding, but that’s just the roll, it was still really well done. Edamame was well cooked, I wish I had a bit of salt for it tho. The Mongolian chicken wasn’t my favorite, but not because it was bad, I could tell that some would definitely like it. It was spicy (pepper spicy) and juicy, the veggies were well done too. I just prefer when spicy food has more than just spicy flavor. The multigrain rice was definitely unique, I liked it. Overall really nice place in a great location.

Spent an excellent dinner with the family after a long train ride from my Long Island office. The atmosphere was cozy and made all of us felt at ease. The staff was attentive, courteous and seemed to know when to fill our water, serve, or replace plates and utensils without being overbearing. Then there was the food. Wow! We ordered different appetizers and entrees to share and the large portions were a pleasant surprised. Sashimi was fresh and had a good variety of fish. The pan fried snapper was a delight, and we finished on a high note with mochi and tempura ice cream. It was such a good experience that we've told friends about it, and are planning to go back again.

Good food and ambiance. The service was quick and great too, they were very quick to make sure our party was comfortable and hydrated, as well as ensuring we were well taken care of. And this place is honestly beautiful. I came for happy hour with my friends and it's honestly pretty hard to beat with the prices. Solid good food.

We had the burger, steak, two sushi rolls—Ultimate Toro and Eel Avocado—and a dozen oysters. Honestly, everything was incredibly good, and I don’t have any photos because we started eating before I could even take one. Daisy was attentive and helpful with recommendations. We’ll definitely be back!

Today we stumbled upon a culinary gem in the heart of Fort Greene, Brooklyn, Mito! This gorgeously decorated and swanky Asian fusion restaurant and lounge offers an elegant and elevated dining experience. The beautifully crafted cocktails and inspired menu can only be described as art. We began our meal with two stunning cocktails and the Shrimp Shumai and Crab and Cheese Wonton appetizers. The presentation was outstanding and set the stage for absolutely delicious sips and bites. The Shumai was flavorful and light served with a slightly sweet and tangy sauce. The Crab and Cheese wontons were creamy, rich and indulgent but not too heavy. Next we orderef the Salmon Teriyaki and Mongolian Beef entrees. When they arrived at the table we were so excited! I believe you eat with your eyes first and both dishes were a feast to behold! The Mongolian Beef was served on a beautiful elevated dish with a heat source below to keep the dish warmed throughout the meal and came with perfectly-cooked fried rice. The meat was tender, flavorful and not overwhelmed by sauce. The Salmon Teriyaki was probably the best I've ever tasted. A generous portion of Salmon grilled to perfection and subtly seasoned alongside a medley of beautifully charred vegetables and white rice. A notable feature for me was the Teriyaki sauce being served in a separate vessel which allowed me to control the amount used and I really appreciated that, as some tend to add too much for my particular taste. Finally we shared the Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream. Another gorgeously presented dish! The Green Tea Ice Cream was delicious, not overly sweet and enveloped in a tempura batter that became very “cake-lile" as it melded with the ice cream…a very unique and satisfying dessert! Overall, Mito is a fabulous find! The service is impeccable, the atmosphere is upscale and the food is perfected. I highly recommend Mito the next time you find yourself in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn!!

I got the miso soup, hot mama, and then I saw someone eating a burger with fries so I decided to get myself some mito fries too. And they were piping hot!!!!!! So deliciousssssss. Miso soup was tasty, and the sushi was incredible. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. I will definitely come back to this place again and make sure to try the desserts. Restaurant ambiance was very elegant and comfortable. Waiter service was excellent. The only thing I would suggest and this is my own personal individual bias but if they had Dijon mustard because the fries were so heavenly.
