NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"Whenever we pass a Japanese market, we have to go inside and get a little snack. Onigiri, perhaps, or a fun flavor of chip. If you can relate, you’ll be happy to know that Mitsuki, a Japanese market in Greenpoint, has opened a second, small location in the Financial District. Any trip to the bottom of Manhattan just got a lot more exciting. " - Will Hartman, Willa Moore

I've had many onigiris in the city, and this place had my favorite ones by far! We tried the spicy salmon and unagi, and they were actually fairly priced for the quality and games freshness! The salmon nigiri was very good too. Tastes of good quality fish.

We love Mitsuki Japanese Market and come here often. Their 1/2 price sushi and onigiri after 6pm is always super popular! It’s a clean tiny shop with good eats and finds.

Really like this convenience store. Lots of snacks and drinks to pick from, and the hot food portions are big enough to fill you up. You can even sit down and eat inside, and it’s not noisy at all. I’ll try the sushi next time.

Yelp
Saw an IG reel that this cute little japanese market has 50% off the hot foods and sushi after 6pm. Tried their salmon avocado roll, spicy tuna roll, chicken karaage, and onigiri. All were good except for the chicken karaage that felt like it was a bit dry. Besides the sections for hot food, onigiri, and sushi, there are a lot of snacks, pastries, and sauces.

Yelp
I love how there is a cute mini Japanese market nearby my workplace. It is literally 2 blocks away from my building so anytime I'm up for Japanese food or snacks I will come here. It is very convenient. They have a lot of warmed onigiris in baskets for sale along with hot food by the entrance. Good thing about their onigiris and hot platters is that they are 50% off after 6pm! Onigiris - spicy salmon - spicy tuna - spicy crab - avocado - eel - fried chicken karage - shrimp tempura Hot Platters - salmon teriyaki - beef gyudon - eel bento - shrimp tempura bento - chicken karage bento - grilled mackerel bento - fried chicken I also come here mostly for the teas. They have a huge selection of ito en teas that I love a lot. I always get the Juroka cha tea and it provides a lot of benefits and it's a healthy treat to enjoy once in a while. This tea contains 16 grains and herbs that are very high in antioxidants. The drink also tastes pretty great and not sweet at all, which is what I like. Overall a pretty great market for Japanese goods and will keep coming back.

Yelp
I don't know why, but I expecting Mitsuki Japanese Market to be large..well..like a market. It's definitely smaller than I anticipated but the selection of hot and cold prepared foods was impressive. The variety of Pocky was straight fire- especially the limited edition coconut pocky. I bought that, a spicy tuna onigiri, and a hot beef gyudon bento box [$13]. The bento box comes with a small seaweed salad, a jammy egg, and two dumplings. It survived a pretty long train ride home and was still delicious. There's a window ledge with a few seats up front if you want to eat right away. Next time I'm in the financial district, I'll definitely pop in.

Yelp
This place is SO FUN! If you're a lover of unique snacks and treats, you have to stop by. They have so many different Japanese items - candy, snacks, chips, sushi, drinks, plushies, decor, kitchen supplies, the list goes on and on. I found so many awesome things here and I'll definitely be back. Everything is also VERY reasonably priced - a lot of foreign snack places are really expensive especially in the city. The employees were also very nice.

Yelp
A small Japanese market with many food and drink selections. The price is reasonable too. They have a small dine-in area which is convenient.

Yelp
Great little shop with a surprisingly good selection for the size, fun snacks and a few staples. Friendly staff too! Will definitely be coming here regularly.
