"Miu Kee offers Cantonese barbecue standards like roast pig, char siu, soya chicken, chicken with scallion sauce, and roast duck, as well as Peking duck. Preparing Peking duck calls for generating the crispest skin possible and deriving most of the flavor from an accompanying plum sauce. Roast duck has been marinated with a focus on flavorful flesh and skin." - Jamie Liu

Though the food was a little over priced, it was very good. The server was excellent too. Brought more water without me asking when I finished my glass. She was friendly and efficient. The bathroom could use a little updating, but the overall appearance and atmosphere was good. Great authentic Chinese food for sure.

I was really disappointed with the taste of my food and the service. The prices have increased way too much within the last six months. I ordered chow fun with shrimp, two spring rolls and a can of soda. The soda was hot, the chow fun noodles were mushy and burned. It was not worth $30. This is not the price I’ve paid during previous visits. I thought maybe the bad chow fun was a one off but also the waiter never came to check in to see if I needed anything. I literally sat there ready to pay but the waiter was glued to his phone. This wasn’t my first visit but it will be my last. They need to clean up this place and provide better customer service if they plan to charge more. I was very disappointed.

Google
We ate in and took out order- Shrimp wonton egg noodles and pan fried seafood noodle are very tasty. Pan fried noodle is really crunchy good even for take home order. The fried noodle stayed crunchy for over 8 hours long after we brought it home. 👍🏼👍🏼 The inside seating and display armostphere has not been up kept so it’s not very pleasant. But food is great, that’s what matter most for us.

Google
If I could give it 0 stars I would. I hate to do this to a small business but people need to know. The water tastes like straight up toilet water but I’m sure it’s from their dirty tap. My daughter and I took one sip and were sick for 3 days. Similar to the noro virus symptoms. The rest of our party didn’t drink the water after we tasted it and were not sick. But the food quality was sub par at best. It was all cold when it arrived at the table even though the pork, duck, and chicken were all hanging in the “heating lamp” window area. We spent $150 and left 80% of it with them.

Google
Their bbq pork, roast duck and chicken was sooo good! As a Cantonese, I have to say this is the most authentic in NoVA for Chinese bbq

Ron

Google
I came here on a friend's recommendation and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the roast pork and snow peas, but the wonton soup was so good.. The staff was very pleasant. Everything is handicap accessible. Parking is shared with IHOP & other shops.

Google
All time favorite Chinese food. It doesn’t look like much from the outside - actually the inside either, but the food is legit. I have eaten Chinese food around the world (about 50 countries) and across the states and this place is my favorite. You won’t impress your date here, but you will leave fully satisfied.

Google
Got 2 orders of the sweet and sour chicken and the shrimp wonton, the price did not add up, regardless, took the food home, I ate it, got sick as a dog, my father ate the food, was throwing up all night and my wife ate it an got sick as well. The place is very old and seems dirty, but definitely would not recommend.

Yelp
Went here with friends and it was slow dining but that helped with service. We ordered beef chow fun, garlic watercress, minced beef congee, seafood hotpot, fried shrimp dish (forget the name) and another beef chow fun because it was so good. I'm from Philly and having a Chinatown nearby has always been a blessing but this is the first time since I've moved here where every dish reminded me of some of my fave Chinatown spots with equal quality and delivery of flavors. I recommend this restaurant for its authenticity and being attentive of authentic Cantonese cuisine. I wouldn't do take out because part of the experience was tasting everything right out of the kitchen. Noodle or deep fried dishes would be absorb more moisture during takeout but that's personal preference.

Yelp
Nestled in an unassuming Annandale plaza, Miu Kee is a hidden gem for all who seek the magic of genuine Cantonese cuisine. Stepping into this restaurant is like stepping into a portal to Hong Kong, the air alive with the fragrant sizzle of stir-fries and the comforting murmur of Cantonese chatter. My recent visit was an absolute delight, earning Miu Kee a well-deserved 5-star rating. The extensive menu is a testament to the restaurant's dedication to culinary authenticity. From familiar favorites to lesser-known specialties, Miu Kee caters to both adventurous and traditional palates. I opted for the classic two-item BBQ plate, featuring the iconic duo of char siu (BBQ pork) and siu yuk (crispy roast pork). While the char siu veered slightly towards the dry side, the siu yuk was pure perfection - shatteringly crisp skin yielding to juicy, flavorful meat. The price might seem a bit steep at first glance, but considering the quality and authenticity, it's a cost I'm more than willing to bear. The stir-fried garlic pea sprouts were a revelation. Cooked to a perfect crispness, they boasted an abundance of fresh garlic and a symphony of vibrant vegetables. The savory broth they swam in was like a warm hug for the palate, a testament to the chefs' mastery of simple yet soul-satisfying flavors. But the pièce de résistance, the dish that transported me back to my childhood, was the crispy pan-fried chow mein with chicken and bean sprouts in gravy. Each bite was a nostalgic explosion - the soft noodles absorbing the rich gravy, the tender chicken adding a savory counterpoint, and the bean sprouts offering a delightful textural contrast. It was a dish that transcended taste and became a memory, a culinary comfort blanket on a plate. The service at Miu Kee was just as impeccable as the food. The staff, friendly and attentive, added to the welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Miu Kee is not just a restaurant; it's a window into a vibrant culinary culture. The dedication to authenticity, the quality of ingredients, and the masterful execution of traditional Cantonese dishes combine to create an experience that is both delicious and deeply satisfying. So, if you're looking for a taste of Hong Kong in the heart of Northern Virginia, make your way to Miu Kee. You won't be disappointed. My 5-star rating speaks for itself, and I urge you to discover your own Cantonese culinary haven at Miu Kee.

Yelp
I came here last week and we enjoyed our food. It was a little salty, but nothing white rice can't fix. I would definitely give them another shot. We had congee, dry beef chow foon and fried garlic chicken.

Yvonne L.

Yelp
This has been my go to spot for wonton noodle soup for so many years. I love the flavors. I tried take out for the first time and was unfortunately disappointed. The portion sizes were tiny and you could feel the MSG as you were eating it, we were parched after the bowl of soup. I'll probably only dine in here on out

Peter L.

Yelp
Everyone knows when a Chinese restaurant has 3 star rating that means it's bomb. Yes, come here for real authentic Chinese food. Stick with the honey walnut shrimp, any stir fried vegetables ( morning glory, spinach), lobster with ginger and scallions, clams with black bean sauce, and steamed fish with ginger and scallion, and seafood pan fried noodles. Didn't know Virginia had amazing Chinese food. Great service too.

Yelp
Ordered dinner for takeout at Miu Kee. We ordered a ton of food! Still VERY delicious food but felt it was time to update my review. We ordered beef chow fun, combination fried rice, duck, wonton soup (tons of wontons!), beef and broccoli, Chinese broccoli, and General Tso's chicken. The fried rice was good. The wontons were very good- they were shrimp based (be warned if you have a shrimp allergy). The beef and broccoli was fine. The Chinese broccoli was definitely a great veggie dish and is what you'd expect so no complaints there. The beef chow fun was not very flavorful. It could have used more ... salt? soy sauce? not sure but it was lacking something. The General Tso's chicken had incredibly huge pieces of chicken. Difficult to share and difficult to eat (unless you had a knife?? which I feel is strange for takeout). Just overall not what one expects with General Tso's dish. I'd still recommend as a reliable takeout place. Although it's not a 5-star from me anymore, it's a solid 4-star option for Chinese food.

Eydie Q.

Yelp
Fantastic Cantonese food at a very reasonable price. The food never disappoints but the service is hit or miss. Still, I will keep coming back here for several reasons. One, their wonton soup is the best in town. The shrimp and pork wontons are so fresh and the skins is soft and not thick like other wontons. Two, the char siu is flavored just right. And if you get the burnt caramelized edges, it's so sweet and rich. Three, the sweet and sour rib (Hong Kong style). Just try it. It's nothing like the Americanized sweet and sour with the thick breading. It's so good. Finally four, the Young Chow fried rice. They load it up with protein (shrimp, chicken, bbq pork) and it's delicious. I took off one star because the service is just inconsistent. Believe me coz I ate here three days in a row!! Anyway hope you try this place out. You might see me there again

jade l.

Yelp
Totally forgot how good Miu Kee is. Good size black bean clams, char siu was tender and flavorful. Everything was so fresh and came out in 10mins! If your going to order Chinese food make sure you order the right stuff!

Evan L.

Yelp
Been coming here since I was little- the food is always good. As they specialize in Cantonese-style cooking, I've usually stuck with dishes like their Wonton Soup, Chow Fun, Roast Duck, and Roast Pork, all of which I recommend, especially the Wonton Soup. Their more "American" dishes like General Tso's Chicken and Beef and Broccoli are okay, I'd recommend their more traditional Cantonese dishes over those. Overall, very reliable option for Chinese food!

Marissa J.

Yelp
I order the shrimp fried rice, carryout. The services was fast, the food was tasty, plenty of shrimp in the rice and plenty of rice to be able share. I will definitely comeback to tried a different meal. The restaurant located right off route 50 easy access plenty of parking. free parking.

Jannet C.

Yelp
We enjoyed our dinner here. I got a wonton soup with beef brisket and tendons and my husband got a chicken with broccoli. Everything came out really fast, hot and delicious! The wontons are great and the beef bc tendons are flavorful and tender. We will come back here, next time we are in the area.

Cee G.

Yelp
Used to be my number one choice for Chinese but now is my last choice due to its unsatisfactory service!!! Totally agree!!!

Yelp
I dined at Miu Kee on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 7 pm and had the most unpleasant experience. Miu Kee used to be the one of the best Chinese restaurants in the northern VA area my family and I regularly go to for authentic, comfort Chinese food; however, this visit will most likely be my last. I seldom give out 1-star reviews, but everything about this experience - the service, the food, and the ambience was abysmal. First impressions, there were very few diners which is probably explained by how uncomfortably hot it was inside. There was no air conditioning and the fans weren't even turned on. At least the lights were turned off to help with that (but not really). The food looked and tasted like they gave up. The wontons tasted like they used a different kind of pork meat instead of ground pork because there were tendons inside the filling that gave them an unappetizing, crunchy texture. The filling inside the wonton was also bland. The seafood casserole was no longer served over a flame, which is disappointing. The seafood was under-seasoned and smelly. The beef chow fun was average and was the only dish that seemed to stay the same over the years.

Yelp
This was my mom's favorite place for authentic Cantonese before Covid. We used to go as a family. They have Cantonese BBQ - roast pork (char siu), roast pig with the crunchy skin, spareribs, & roast (southern vs Peking) duck. They have congee and Hong Kong style wonton soups. Dishes that we often get family style, besides choice of 2 of the BBQ, include beed chow fun, fish (or beef) with Chinese sour cabbage, chicken (or seafood) pan fried noodles, and something I refer to as sizzling (Chinese) pepper steak [I'm not sure how it is listed on the menu], among other dishes. Dishes generally were sizable. Service was attentive. In recent years, I've been stopping by to pick up carryout. I was surprised to find that the restaurant has reduced their hours. They close at 9 pm on selected weekdays. I'm guessing that Covid has cause employee shortage with restaurants. On some evenings the restaurant has many customers, on other days more sparse.

Dennis H.

Yelp
Dined-in several times since the pandemic began, and was very satisfied each time. Very authentic and fresh tasting Cantonese dishes, and imo the best BBQ crispy pork (siu yoke) in the DC area. I'm Cantonese, so this is classic family style cooking for me. I like their wonton noodle soups and congees. I haven't tried their American Chinese dishes, but I'm sure they are adequate. The prices are very good for this area too. Anyone who complains about service needs to get a grip imo; each time the service was quick, picked up finished dishes, and made sure I was happy. Would recommend to anyone.

Sa J.

Yelp
Used to love this place but food just isn't the same. Shrimp wonton soup tastes like hot water with alot of salt. $22 for sautéed beef with watercress is ridiculous when it's 90% watercress.

Helena K.

Yelp
always good to come here to get chinese food. I feel like they shrink the amount of calamari than before but it still great to me. Fries tofu still awesome. I dont really like beef chow fun, it little burn and less favor but it still ok.

H F.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and the real deal. Had our favorite soy chicken tonight for takeout and it was so moist and meaty. Truly the best I have had in recent memory. They have something for everyone on their extensive menu. Dine in or take out -- GO either way!!!

Ariana O.

Yelp
This is my second time here, and both times I had great experiences! The food is delicious, and it's served quickly. The first night I came here it was late in the night, so I expected the food to be out quick. But last night there was a good number of other tables dining, and the food was out in a timely fashion. Definitely recommend the salted fish and chicken casserole and the young chow fried rice. The flavors blend so nicely in both dishes. After meal is complete, freshly sliced oranges are served with fortune cookies. I look forward to coming here again.

Win S.

Yelp
Mmm this so good - the kind of Chinese Canto food you really crave instead of the typical lackluster chow miens and orange chickens you get elsewhere. Bonus: this place opens late!! Til 2 am on the regular week day and 3 am on the weekends (read: your new spot to get munchies after bar hopping or other shenanigans, wink wink!) The service is blasé. What can you expect. The food is salty good - a tad bit on the very salty side. So be ready to down your meal with soothing hot tea and water. But it's still so tasty and worth it. My friend who's a regular here highly recommends the fried tofu (with tasty bits of hot green peppers sliced in, mmm!) and the fried pork chop. Fried to perfection! Top your order off with a veggie plate (balance all that is fried) and extra rice and you are good to go. You can also order out. Perfect to bring these dishes to parties or just eat in the comfort of your own home, too.

Margad-Erdene D.

Yelp
Ordered take out to eat at home so can't say much about the restaurant. Lady at the front taking to-go orders was nice. The food itself was meh. I order general tso chicken with white rice which was terrible. 0 star out of 5. The wonton soup Hong Kong style was good, 4 out of 5 stars. The dough was very thin and the soup needed a little bit of more flavor. The shrimp inside the dumplings were amazing. All in all would not go back because paying $17 or $18 for general tso chicken is not worth it. Not to mention it only came with 7-8 pieces of medium to small sized chicken that only filled half the to-go container and the other half with broccoli. I believe it should be at least 70%-30% chicken to broccoli ratio, not 50%-50%.

Christopher S.

Yelp
Probably a 3 star joint in any metropolis with a thriving Asian scene, but I would give a 4 since the northern Virginia/DC side falls into a "beggars can't be choosers" conundrum when compared to Rockville, MD. The majority of the complaints I've read either point to the inconsistent service or the excessive saltiness to some of the dishes. I've managed to bypass these issues by predominantly ordering food to go and focusing on their Hong Kong bbq meats and the Yang Chow Fried Rice, which are as solid as they come. Maybe because I converse with them in Chinese I may get a little preferential treatment, since I had a 2yo in the car and they waited outside the door to provide essentially drive thru service, so not many other places would be that thoughtful. Also appreciate the option to order late night after midnight so bonus points awarded considering these are the burbs. Definitely not a perfect Cantonese joint, but they get the basics right where those who complain about it would definitely miss it if it were the only option taken away from them. May need to revisit their rival restaurant Vinh Kee to see if one is clearly superior to the other.

Vicky T.

Yelp
The owner was rude and demand to give more than 15% and food was awful and didn't come to check on us! We had to wait for 10 mins or so to get our check and never bought us another water! Please don't come here

Arthur L.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious Chinese food! Love the BBQ pork and duck! The best wontons in DMA area. Beef brisket noodles soup and dry beef chow fun both are my favorite! Always order extra and carry out for next day dinner

Tyler L.

Yelp
This place sucks! I ordered 2 items and none of them were edible. The Singapore noodles had too much curry in it and the noodles were as dry as the desert sun. The salty fish with chicken fried rice were terrible as well. The rice were under cooked and it tasted like dry sand. I will never go back there.

Steve P.

Yelp
The place was too hot to enjoy our meals. No a/c so we quickly lost our appetites and barely ate the food. Their shrimp dumpling soup is great, but the rest was less than edible. My wife suffered a bout of diarrhea from the spinach, so we tossed the leftovers. Service is not very good. So skip this place especially when it is hot!

Landon L.

Yelp
I was visiting the Northern Virginia and Washington D.C area and decided to eat at this Chinese restaurant to have a nice dinner. Once we waled in we were quickly seated and as soon as my hand touched the table there was a sticky and un-appetizing feeling, probably from these tables not being properly cleaned for years. On to the food, it seemed like the restaurant is experiencing a lack of salt in all their dishes. As each of the dishes came out it seemed like they were getting worse and worse with a lack of salt. One of the dishes that we ordered was seafood noodles, which is a dish consisting of deep fried noddles with a seafood sauce poured on top. Probably one of the worst dishes that we ordered with it being the most bland tasting like wet cardboard with a slight bit of shrimp. Soon after this dish arrived the waiter came over to refill our water cups and ended up spilling more water into the dishes than actually in the cup which did not help with the bland flavor at all! Lastly we ordered a chicken dish which was supposed to be fresh cuts of chicken with a ginger sauce as said in the menu, but what came out on the plate was a complete disappointment. The plate that was handed to us was a plate of what seemed like scraps of chicken the worked gathered throughout the day. Overall I was not pleased with the experience and I am making a public service announcement to no come to Mui Kee and send your money else where.

Jim H.

Yelp
This place is located in the corner of a small shopping strip and has been here forever. Food is pretty good and the atmosphere is fine. The food here is authentic Chinese food, but they also sell American Chinese food here too. I generally come here for the water crest and chicken and cashews. As others have noticed service can be lacking, at least for me when I come late at night. However if you're looking for a decent place for Chinese food this is the place for late late night food.

Raymark G.

Yelp
This is a staple every time I visit NoVA! My party always gets the fried tofu (THE BEST imo) and during this visit we also got vegetarian fried rice, sautéed Chinese spinach, beef and broccoli and half a duck. Personally, I did not eat the beef and broccoli but everything else is good as always! Only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because the duck came out much later than the other dishes even though all they needed to do was cut it since it was already made and they're weren't busy when we came.

Nat A.

Yelp
I found this place based upon a Google search for Hong Kong shrimp wonton and duck noodle soup. I used to get this wonderful soup in Philadelphia's Chinatown years ago, but have not found anything close to it in the DC area. I called in an order for take out and when I arrived to pick it up, the place was a little chaotic with customers waiting for pick up, or just standing around chatting with the restaurant staff. There were tanks of lobster and large crabs near the entryway, and prepared ducks on display behind the cash register. I was not disappointed! The soup was very tasty with pieces of bone-in crispy duck, shrimp wontons, bok choi, and noodles. It was so savory and I appreciated how the broth was provided in a separate container from the remaining ingredients. I had ordered crab rangoon as well, but unfortunately they were out so I substituted shrimp and seafood fried wontons. They were SO crispy and tasty that I was surprisingly impressed. This place is located at the end of a small shopping plaza, just off Arlington Boulevard. Plenty of free parking. Check it out as the staff is very nice and the food was yummy and not too expensive either.

Lucy V.

Yelp
Honestly, this place is the best as late night drunk food. Service is not great by any means..but I feel like it comes with the territory. However, the food is good (anytime, but especially drunk..did I mention that?). My go to are watercress with garlic, roast duck, roasted pig (look at the pics for delish crispy skin on both), and salt and pepper fish. Tried the seafood pan fried noodle once and it was bland - I don't recommend.

Aylin G.

Yelp
This is probably the worst experience I've had at this restaurant. My family and I passed by and craved some food so went in. We have previously gone to this place many times, but today's service was awful first of all they gave us one plate and had to wait another 20 min for another plate then after we told the waiter about the food he ignored us and didn't talk to us. Then after eating our food they had already written down a tip for us to give. We fought back that we though the service was terrible and to that the waiter that served us told us not to come back to the restaurant. I was infuriated at the stupid remark and we left. The food itself is good but I don't recommend going just because of the service.

Giselle C.

Yelp
One of my go-to's for Cantonese food. I really only ever order 4 things: 1. Wonton Noodle Soup 2. Shrimp Dumpling Noodle Soup 3. Pork/Duck Platter 4. Fried Tofu Dish (has an egg white sauce and veg under) Although the inside is run down, this is a local favorite of mine. The wontons here that you get are price effective and are the freshest in the NOVA area. They have the right taste, and the right proportion of seafood to binding. The other items are always well cooked. The only other place with pork or duck that would rival this place is Marks Duck House not too far away.

Sara W.

Yelp
This has always been my go to place for Chinese food. Used to dine in but we are mostly take out people nowadays. Everything is always so fresh. The prices have definitely gone up but hasn't everything. We still feel that it's worth it. Never had anything I didn't enjoy. Our go-tos are the roast duck, Kung pao chicken ( a classic, which we order extra spicy), and rice noodles Singapore style. Always pleased.

Pearl W.

Yelp
This small unassuming restaurant offers a lot of Cantonese specialties. The won ton noodle soup, congee, and steamed chicken was spot on.

Kaipurnicus C.

Yelp
So me and my girlfriend came here on a saturday night around 8. It was extremely busy and there was no hostess so we waited 10 min making eye contact with the staff and people eating(awkward). After waiting for so long we finally went up to a server and asked how long for a table for two? and he looked at us and nodded his head "no" and just left...rude. So after this i asked a lady who seemed in charge we want a table for two and she just mumbled back exactly what i asked(maybe she didnt know english) and continued ordering staff around. as this is going on a line begins to pile up behind us and no one know whats going on. The young couple behind us started talking to the woman in their language and started getting there order to the kitchen. At this point we just left, worst service I have ever had and im being serious im a very patient guy but this is over the line. plus we drove 45 min to try it.

Narisa P.

Yelp
The foods are always good! But this time just 3 stars! Because the service is super slow and they made food for other tables first! We were waiting for the food at least 40minutes... I came here twice a month! Love the stir fried water case & shrimp dumplings soup. Still coming back but hopefully it won't take that long again..

Lillian L.

Yelp
This place could be cleaner and their service could be better but their food is delicious. I would typically order to go just so you don't have to deal with the service. Our go-to dishes are the beef chow fun, spicy fried pork chop, cold platter, and their egg noodle dishes (xa xiu, vit, hoanh thanh, sui cao). All are your standard chinese restaurant prices but portions are usually shareable. They offer great lunch specials for about $8-$10 that come with your standard soup, eggroll and rice. They are also open late so that's convenient when you're having that late night chinese food craving. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants good chinese food.

Kyle T.

Yelp
To start off, there were a bunch of flies hanging around the windows, right next to where we were eating. The waiter was not attentive and when asked for recommendations he just said everything was good. We waited 5-10 minutes for the check but it never came. I eventually had to get up and find the waiter myself. The restaurant was not very busy. As for the food, it's not bad. It came out quick but it was a little salty for my taste. Thankfully they give you a big bowl of rice. There are definitely better Chinese restaurants in the area.

Tony H.

Yelp
I travel a lot and thusly eat at a lot of restaurants. I have been here thrice now. It's very rare that I would ever rate anything five stars, and this is pretty much on the food alone. It's a little obscure hole in the wall at the end of a strip mall. The service was good. I would recommend the seafood combination. It's pretty rare to find a gem like this.

Carlo M.

Yelp
The food here is actually solid. I've returned multiple times over the last 10 years. For anyone craving chinese food late at night, it's a great option to have in the area. With that said, there was a mouse running around the restaurant last night. What made it worse, was that the people working didn't even notice. It wasn't very full either. There were probably only 5 tables being served. Was it such a regular thing that the workers ignored it? Or was it a lack of attention? Either way, it's not a good look. Our service was good and the food was all i could really ask for past midnight. It was disappointing to see the mouse running around towards the end of our meal. Rodents are unforgiveable for any dining establishment in my opinion. I had to bring it up. Hopefully this isn't a long term problem.

Leslie U.

Yelp
I typically come here for their egg noodle soups. I either get the wonton or the roasted pork... if Im feeling hungry then i get the soup with both pork and wontons. The broth is always flavorful and the food comes out quickly. Other dishes that are a go to favorites are the beef and broccoli chow fon and the spicy fried pork. They have a decent lunch menu as well. I wish I worked closer to take advantage of it. I also love how they are close to FDB so you can get dessert right after.

Thomas N.

Yelp
TL;DR weren't allowed to leave the restaurant because our tip wasn't what the waiter wanted. So we had to give them more money for them to let us leave. One night my friends and I went here to grab a quick dinner. We were seated quickly, and got our menus immediately. The waiter didn't really understand English so we had to point to the menu in order to order. Which wasn't a big issue, since the process went more or less smoothly. I ordered two barbecued meats with rice and an egg drop soup. While my friends ordered spicy fried tofu and beef with green peppers. The food came out pretty fast. The barbecued meat and soup was pretty standard. As I looked over towards my friends, we noticed that one of the dishes they ordered was incorrect. The tofu she got was just plain fried tofu. Since we weren't able to get the waiters attention we were just stuck with it. Both the beef with green peppers and the plain fried tofu were more on the saltier side. Since, the food was too salty, my friends ended up drinking a lot of water. However, they never got a refill after we asked a couple times. At the end we decided to leave so that they could get hydrated. As we paid for the check we decided to give them a 10% tip. As we walked out we got stopped and they wouldn't let us leave unless we gave them at least a 15% tip which didn't make sense since the service was lacking. After arguing for a while we decided to just pay addition money and left. Overall, I would not go back or get food from this place again. Even though the food was only a little salty, the service was beyond terrible.

Yelp
I used to come here all the time, but since the owner changed a few years ago, we haven't been here for some time. During the COVID-19 period, there is only carry out, so we ordered some food to bring home. The food taste was good overall, somewhat authentic Chinese/Cantonese food, but upon eating the fried rice, we saw a dead cockroach in the rice! It grossed us out and we dumped the whole thing. Upon calling the store, they apologized and said that it's seafood so it may have attracted roaches. We asked for a refund of this dish (not the whole order) but they kept saying that the next time we visit, they would comp us a dish. We will not be visiting again.

Yelp
The first time I came here the Singapore pan fried noodles were amazing. Subtle tumeric spice on top of oily crispy noodles. My second time here however, the noodles were not crispy, they were simply tender. My friends' selections look a lot better than mine. My friend ordered an off-ish menu item, roast pork with rice. My other friend was really craving pho with fatty beef brisket, but we were at a Cantonese place. The server said she would take care of it and gave her (another off-ish menu item) a bowl of rice noodles (thick, not like thin pho noodles) with fatty beef brisket in a light beef broth (pho-like). If I am in another Chinese food mood, this place is the first to pop into my mind.

Yelp
Found this guy in my seafood soup. Mind you I was half way done with it when I found him waiting for me to finish. I am thoroughly disgusted.

Yelp
+Friendliness of Server Contrary to other reviews to this place, the sever we had was personable. The food took more than average and the food for other tables that came after us was ready and served long before ours (two orders of fried rice). The cleanliness is at bare minimum, even though the prices were a little steep given the experience as a whole. I combo rice had no veggies just bean sprouts. The last area of improvement was the chicken was very elasticy (resembling McDonalds Chicken Nuggets). I am incredibly picky about authenticity of meat as I get sick easily and this was enough for me to hesitate eating the rest of my meal.

Yelp
It's my first time to do dine in here. I ordered the roasted duck with rice. It tasted good but not great. The boiled veggie on the side is overcooked. The sauces available on the table taste weird. The smell inside is not appetizing. They have a dirty aquarium with lobsters which i dunno if their still alive or not. But still my hubby loves the tofu and the porkchop.

Yelp
Best Chinese restaurant around! Never have o been here leaving disappointed or cheated. Get the roasted pig... get the char siu... get the fried tofu... get the fried calamari (bit salty).. or get the wonton soups. You won't regret it and won't break the bank either unless the place is so good you keep ordering more.

Yelp
Tl;dr: If you see a waitress there with very short red hair and glasses, turn around and RUN DON'T WALK out the door. She is the ONLY reason this restaurant is being given 2 stars. Pros: food is very authentic and very good, probably one of the best in the area. It's also prepared quickly which is nice. Cons: I always feel like the tables could use another wipe down...they feel perpetually sticky. Making a reservation on the phone doesn't guarantee you'll get what you want -- they sometimes have a hard time hearing your request or don't pass along the message properly. Thus, our reservation for 10, confirmed a second time that afternoon, suddenly became a reservation for 8 when we arrived. Based on the above, I would give the restaurant 4 stars. However, I took it down to 2 stars for the service. Now don't get me wrong, most of the people are pretty friendly. They can be a little curt, especially when they're busy, but they're reasonable. There's one particular waitress who is downright nasty, though, and it's because of her that I'm rating the restaurant so poorly. From the first words out of her mouth, she was RUDE and ABRASIVE. She LIED to us and tried to split up our party, claiming a large table was reserved when in fact there were no other parties in at least the next 2 and a half hours that needed that table (and we know this because the restaurant owner said it was fine for us to take the larger table). The waitress straight up ignored us -- she literally would not respond to anything anyone said and even refused to make eye contact with our table. I was braced for slightly subpar service already when I chose to dine here, but she took it to a whole new level. You will not catch me dead at this restaurant if she is there. She WILL ruin your dining experience.
