PDT’s sequel, Mixteca, is more casual, but just as nerdy - Review - New York - The Infatuation
"PDT is hidden behind a phone booth in a hot dog joint on St. Marks. Sister bar Mixteca, a similarly snug spot in the West Village, is parked right on the street behind floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s a much different scene—less speakeasy, more casual coctelería. Like its famous older sibling, the place serves elaborate original creations, with a focus on tequila and mezcal. Want a spicy margarita? You can get one here, but as it goes down, you’ll feel a hit of wasabi. You can also try a carajillo, a tomatillo gin and tonic, or a sweet, nutty tequila old fashioned infused with huitlacoche. Each of the above will run you around $20. This isn’t a spot for marathon drinking, but it is a nice option to kick off your night with a unique cocktail and a taco from the shop next door.

"An agave-focused cocktail bar inside the One Cornelia complex led by longtime Please Don’t Tell staffer Victor Lopez; it is set to open in August and will be one of the two cocktail venues in the building where, once the rest of the project opens, customers can order food from the taqueria." - Nadia Chaudhury
East Village Speakeasy Bar PDT Team Is Opening New West Village Bar | Eater NY
"A 45-seat, street-level agave bar going deep on tequila, mezcal, racillia, and more, run by Victor Lopez, one of PDT’s founding staffers. The design will pay homage to Lopez’s hometown of Puebla and the operation is positioned as a distinct, standalone street-level business within the larger complex." - Erika Adams
Amazing happy hour,
Even more AMAZING cocktail lists and amazing $5 taco.
We first started out with a few happy hour margarita and the apple cider margarita and coffee margarita was super good, and not too sweet. Next we ordered bunch of tacos and quesadillas which we devoured in few sec and after we ordered other cocktails which was so unique and original. Def will be coming back here. Also have great list of tequila as well.

Mixteca is so delightful! My brother and I went on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed a delicious Strawberry Margarita and a Carajillo. The quesadillas are unique, cheap, and especially yummy with the spicy salsa. Youdee, our server was so sweet and made the visit all the more special. Thank you!

Saw this place just opened up and stopped by to check it out. Bartenders Jon and Hannah took such good care of us and guided us through the entire cocktail experience. Happy to discover this neighborhood gem and will be back!

Created this location on Google Maps specifically so I could rave about how much I like it here. Went opening day and it seemed to already be running like a well oiled drink machine. I recommend the Vampiro for a fun little decoration/souvenir. 🦷🧛🏻♂️ Supposedly you could order tacos from next-door, but I had already filled up on tequila. Oops. There are worse problems to have. Will be back!

Great place on W4th from the team of PDT, the back page has some of the really standout cocktails. El Cheoe, Puebla York and Los Santos are the standout.

I love the food and drinks, the spicy margarita is really good. Thanks Cecilia for your recommendations, she’s the best. She made me have an amazing time here. Definitely I’m going back.

Sadly, my experience was disappointing. Based on the reviews, I expected good food and drinks, but the margarita was flavorless and served half full, and the tacos arrived cold. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Always a fan of a tequila/mezcal focused bar and this spot offers a great selection of cocktails with varying profiles. Food menu basically is from the taqueria next door. Good vibes.

Yelp
I was here only for drinks on Friday night. My buddy who got spicy margarita said her drink was really good, and my tequila soda was also good ( i mean, what could go wrong with this one). Not many seats there, but pretty chill ambience. West village price.
