There were three of us and we got there early and so sat in the bar area and had drinks served by very pleasant people. The hit was the "roundhouse kick". This isn't McDonald's, the food here is carefully prepared and the waits between courses were never tedious, perhaps it was the company. It is just on the edge of being crowded and little noisier than I would prefer. Now for the important part of this, the food. I'm new to the new American cuisine. Everything we had was beyond excellent. I have never eaten such satisfying food. We all tasted each others dishes and they were all stunning. The standout for me was my lobster and lobster roe/corn chowder. Could not ask for a better waiter. Of course at the end was the bill, not an insignificant sum; but this is more than just dining.

Took my girlfriend for her birthday dinner. We both split the asparagus starter, and both had the Whitefish/Lobster entree. They were both excellent! The place is very calm and relaxed, and the decor is nice. Service was always attentive. I'll certainly make it over there again.

great dining all the way around! from reception noting my table preference to friendly, efficient service to excellent wine suggestions encompassing all price points, not to mention the food!! our party had calves liver (seasonal speciality), duck breast and salmon. very interesting flavorful accompaniments. all prepared expertly, extremely flavorful but not overwhelming, quite a feat with the breadth of the dishes presented.

The restaurant was low-key. away from the busy section of the neighborhood. Easy to find street parking and valet parking is also offered. The interior is beautiful; modern with a glass roof in the dining area that really sets the mood. I got the bison and it tasted great. Priced on the higher end, but the romantic ambiance, good food, and a very attentive/helpful staff made it a 5 star experience.

I was there for the company Christmas party, so the only things I can speak too are the wait staff and the food that set out for us. I don't know who choose the menu the restaurant or our staff. It was a buffet meal, we started with a salad table. Several different varieties, including one of my favorites, the beet salad. This one had red and yellow beets in them, with goat cheese and walnuts. I am sampled several, they were all fine. The meat selection was roast beef, a little bit under cooked, but still good. They also had petite chickens. The food was good, the restaurant was decorated tastefully, and the staff was very attentive, and did their jobs well.

One of the most overused expressions is "I wanted to like this restaurant but..." - yeah, I'll just use it. I had high expectations for MK but it is decidedly....average. The service was very good, but I can't say that the food stood out. The frites weren't bad by any means, but you could something comparable at dozens of bars/restaurants in Chicago. My date's salmon was lacking flavor. I ordered the boulliabaise which was actually very good. I thought the seating area was really cramped, like if you lean back, your head is touching the person behind you. While their staff seems very cordial and attentive, I'd probably look elsewhere for a nice occasion in the future.

Came here over the weekend for my 29th Birthday. Service, Food, Atmosphere are all spot on. I would recommend to everyone. I am still thinking about the dinner we had and planning my next visit. MUST try the endive salad and blue crab toast if it is still on the menu but you cannot go wrong with whatever you order!

Atmosphere of the restaurant, very relaxing and elegant. Food was fabulous, every bite. Staff very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Nice touch the chef came out to say hallo and to thank us for coming. Also the owners spouse stopped by the table to say hallo and to make sure we were well taken care off. I give this place a 5 star rating. Will be going back again.
