MK NOODLE PHO

Felt like this was a ghost kitchen to be honest. Didn't see anywhere on the Google listing that this is 'fast food.' No one greets guests when they arrive or leave. Sat down to realize no wait staff would arrive. Initially missed that you have to order from a kiosk by the door. Automatic gratuity. Combination soup and spring rolls with the automatic tip came out to $33. Pretty pricey. Pick up your own food when they call your name. Clean up your own table. The food was fine. Certainly not bad or anything but this would be hard to recommend over the dozens of others in the city that do so well with customer service and attention to detail. Food came out in 5-7 minutes so if you're looking to get in and out quickly that's a plus.

Absolutely delicious food, with very generous portions! The most difficult thing about ordering on the kiosks was deciding what to get, as there were so many tempting options. I opted for the Pad Thai, and it had the best chicken I’ve ever had. Plenty of space to dine in, as myself and various other patrons chose to do. The staff working was polite and helpful, even offering to pack leftovers into to-go containers.

Great spot for some good pad thai and pho. The portions are gigantic for the price that you pay and you will either get full to the brim or will leave with a bunch of leftovers. The ordering system with the touchscreen is super convenient but also encourages using cash than card (as paying with cash is 10% cheaper). Perfect spot for a quick and easy dinner and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Okay portions for the price and solid flavors, though not quite authentic Vietnamese. Ordering is easy with the touch-screen menu. Staff was friendly and service was fine, though minimal. You order at the kiosk, pick up your food when your name is called, and bus your own table. The space isn’t the most inviting for dining in, so I’d recommend it more for takeout or delivery.

OBSESSED with this place! Huge portions, quick service and beyond consistent quality. We come here probably once a month and it’s amazing every time. Favorite dishes are the Singapore noodles, classic pho, potstickers and rangoons but you truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here.

Had the pho with brisket and meatball and it was really flavorful without feeling heavy. The portions left me full but not stuffed, which is nice. Ordering from the kiosk was easy and the staff were genuinely friendly when calling out my name. The place has a cozy, no‑fuss atmosphere that makes grabbing comfort food easy. Definitely a spot I’ll go back to when I need something soul warming.

It was 3 degrees Fahrenheit last night, and everyone in Chicago wanted a warming bowl of Pho. This restaurant was pumping out take-away orders ant Mach speeds, and was almost completely full of people dining in. All that to say, the service was fast, friendly, and professional despite the crazy amount of business this little restaurant was doing. The portions here are soooo generous! 65$ could easily feed 2 people and you’d leave feeling 100% satisfied, probably with leftovers. My go to order is the vegan pho, tofu & mushroom bahn mi, spring rolls and crab Rangoon. They have the biggest crab rangoons I’ve ever seen in my life, they’re like the size of a croissant, you get like 6 in an order. This place is NOT stingy so come hungry. I love this place so much, and I love to bring my friends and family here. I hope you like them as much as I do :)

I love this concept. No waiters / servers. Walk up, order on a screen, pick up yer food once they call yer name. Genius. Pho get about it!

Great neighborhood spot! The service is quick and easy. There's two big tablets you order your food and boba through. They will text/call your name whenever your food is ready. There's more than enough seating on the inside if you wanted to dine in. We got the mango and Thai tea bubble tea. It was delicious! The boba comes in one size in a larger glass. We also got the spring rolls and fried tofu. They both come with delicious sauces and both foods tasted so fresh. I'll definitely be back for the Banh mi!

I'm so happy that there's good pho restaurants that's outside of argyle! They offer a discount if you pay in cash. I'd say the pho broth is pretty traditional and it's refreshing. Light and not too sweet which is what I'd say classic. I'd say the pho atleast is a solid 8.3/10. Will come back if I'm in the area!

Additionally tried the Banh Mi Combo, and it was excellent-- among the top banh mis in Chicago. The bread is nice and airy, with a good ratio of mayo to filling. The meats were very tender and flavorful, and the order also comes with fries that are crispy and thick cut.

I'm back just for the bhan mi. Really good fries as usual. My memory did not deceive me best bhan mi ever. I especially like that the baguette is not too stiff and dry.

We came on a weeknight for a quick dinner and this place was great. You order through the touch screen and then they call your name when your order is ready. It's casual and cozy. We got the pad thai with chicken and Tom yum soup with chicken. Everything was good, would come back again.

What a treat this was! I can honestly say this was the best Pho I have had. So, let me get into it! The food was amazing! I order the spring rolls and a pho. The spring rolls were one of the better ones I have had. The pho was the best tasting pho I have had. You could tell how much time they put into making the broth. I can honestly say it is the best Pho in the state of Illinois! All the ingredients were fresh and it made you want to keep eating. The service was okay. I felt the kiosk took away from the authenticity of traditional Vietnamese places. And one didn't know when there order was up since it was hard to hear if one's name was called. The atmosphere was great I like the spacing of the tables and how it was too loud that you could talk to one's party and not have to worry about other people. Overall, I will say give MK noodle pho a try if you want one of the best PHO broths in the city / state!

I got the pad Thai and a side of pho noodles and a side of broth. Created my own soup and it wasn't great, but the pad Thai was the best pad Thai I've ever had in the city (which says a lot, I order it every week).

This is a cafe style self service Vietnamese place. When you walk in, there are 2 kiosks where you place your order while you wait for your food to be cooked. Once ready, the staff will call you to pick up for cafe food tray to bring back to your table. Be aware that they may call items 1 by 1 so you'll have to go back and forth a few times if you have multiple people at your table. Food was decent. The meatball pho was excellent on a cold and windy day. The grilled pork Banh mi was tasty. The egg rolls were a bit bland. Overall, nice place for lunch, but not true full service dining.

MK Noodle has quickly become a favorite spot of mine. I've been ordering takeout from here a few times a month recently. The Pho and Bahn Mi are always so delicious and well made. Ingredients are noticeably fresh. They also have a couple noodle dishes that are a sneaky good too. Service is very fast and everything is always packaged nicely when I stop in for pick up. For dining in, there are a couple kiosks for ordering that keeps service fast. The inside of the restaurant is clean and well laid out. Can't wait to go back!

My go-to Vietnamese restaurant when I am craving a warm comforting bowl of pho or satisfying grilled pork vermicelli. The ingredients are always fresh and plentiful and the dishes are spot on. I only wish they had more rice dishes. Though I will say the pineapple fried rice is a new craving. So glad Lakeview has this neighborhood gem!!

Top spot for me and I'm so happy it's in my neighborhood, so I've had quite a few things. A gem. My favorite taro milk tea ever, no joke. Delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the food here. Chicken bahn mi is a go-to, crab rangoons delicious, pot stickers on point, and bun shrimp noodle dish is another favorite of mine. Their pho is also fantastic. Owner is absolutely lovely.

The bun shrimp and chicken bowl could have easily been portioned to two servings. Did I scarf down the entire bowl? I sure did. The chicken was tender and well marinated and the entire dish hit the spot coming off of a sake tasting that I had gone to earlier that day. The portions are ginormous, food is tasty, and the menu as a whole is moderately priced and won't break your wallet.

Mk noodle is probably my most frequented restaurant at this point. It's delicious, fresh, efficient and friendly. As a vegetarian they are extremely accommodating imo! I've had the tofu banh mi (comes with fries- VERY good price and the fries are fantastic), veggie pho (very good-probably my 2nd favorite only behind sunset pho), veggie delight w tofu, pad see ewe, and their bun soy chicken and tofu bowl. The latter is my most frequently ordered and I crave it! Portions are FANTASTIC and it's always fresh! The ambiance is comfortable and clean and there's usually plenty of seating. I usually go solo and eat at the 'bar' area (smoothie/coffee/tea bar) but I often see larger families enjoying a meal so there's room for everyone. Please enjoy and support this business.

They have 2 mobile order machines by the door. You can order and pay cash at the register for 10% off. We ordered the pork bahnmi sandwich which came with fries and the pork and shrimp noodles. There's not a ton of seats, maybe 12 tables? It was basically packed when we got there at noon on a Saturday. Overall, the food was good but not the best that we have had and it is expensive due to the area. My bahnmi had a good amount of the pickled veggies which I loved but the mayo spread tasted weird to me. The fries were cold but still crispy on the outside. The pork in both dishes also was a little too fatty for my and my husband's liking. Our friends got their usually pho.

Was feeling a little sick and craving some pho so here we are! The only downfall of this restaurant is that it's a bit pricey - $60 for two pho and two bahn mi - but it was all great! I was skeptical due to the lack of pictures of their pho, so I took one, but the broth was flavorful and it was piping hot! The bahn mi was delicious and the meat was super juicy and tender. Will likely become our new go-to pho place as newbies in Chicago!

Good neighborhood spot ! Called ahead to order pick up and they said 2 phos on Friday night would be 20-25 mins. It was ready right at the 20min mark which is great! Gave them cash which is around 10% off , fantastic! The steak came in little baggies and they gave instructions to reheat the soup and pour it over the noodles Not the best pho of my life i.e. soup is not super rich nor noodles not chewy enough. but satisfies my cravings especially being around the neighborhood+walking distance Lots of beef and the tripe was thinly cut. and they gave me the extra bean sprout and basil leaves that I love!

We ordered pho and spring rolls. Both were very good and tasty. It is easy to place an order on the screen.

first time trying Mk Noodle and we already decided to return! the portions are huge, the broth is lovely, this is the best pho we've had in Chicago BY FAR. staff is wonderful and the experience was overall perfect!!!

Great Pho. Large portion and variety. Got a steak and brisket combo. Totally enough for 2. Also split a sandwich. Fresh and great spice. This and 2 drinks for under $40. Hooray.

Good place in Lakeview for Vietnamese food. It has some pretty good classics such as pho and more. Mk Noodle is pretty casual and small. As a result, it makes a better time to come at lunch. This is also conveniently located close to the Paulina station, so you can take public transportation and not have to worry about parking. At lunch we came to a nearly empty inside. It could have been a bad sign. This luckily wasn't. Basically this place is very casual. It has funky Asian cartoon drawings on the walls. As for the food, it was about as good as one can expect. We each got the Pho Chay Vegan. It's about $13 for a big bowl. Prices are kind of high but not as bad for this as at some other places, and this is a very large portion too. Bowl was full of good stuff. There were vegetables including bean sprouts, broccoli, and mushrooms, lots of noodles, and tofu. Easy place to get to without a car. It's located just across the street from the Paulina CTA station. There's a few choices for vegans and vegetarians.

Customer service was very good however the restaurant is rather dirty and seems to be in a state of disrepair. We unfortunately found a dying cockroach on the floor of the dining room next to our table. Furthermore, the bathrooms were very dirty and I was not a fan of the slop bucket at the bussing counter where we had to throw our liquids. Also, my Vietnamese coffee was overly bitter (yes I know robusta beans are bitter, but this was next level bitter).

This is one of my favorite takeout places in the city but I also love sitting and eating. There's a fair amount of seating and each table has a small container of chili oil that you don't get with the takeout. The portions are massive and a really good price. I had the Cajun rice and added in shrimp, it was incredibly flavorful and one of my favorite dishes. I also ordered the brown sugar boba as my drink. Highly recommend to anyone in Roscoe looking for a quick & delicious bite!

This is such a nice place. Friendly service and great portion sizes. You can order ahead even if you are eating in. Don't forget to try the smoothies and teas!

Nice little spot, usually not too crowded when I go and always satisfies my craving for pho. You order everything on a kiosk and wait for them to call your name which is fine with me. The workers are usually friendly but I find that the boba can be a hit or miss sometimes. I always get the chicken pho and after adding a few sauces it's always very good. The crab rangoon is a safe choice as well!

I really wish this spot was open when I used to work in the area bc it is very legit pho!! So good! You order on a machine when you first walk in, super quick and convenient, then they call your number out when your food and drinks are ready. The pho was seriously as good as the pho youd get on Argyle St, so were the fresh spring rolls. I also loved my green tea smoothie w tapioca. I'll def be back! The owner was so nice and friendly. Parking on this part of Lincoln is usually pretty easy, which is nice, it's pay to park.

I got the Thai tea with boba, combination pho, eggrolls, shrimp and meat spring rolls. Everything was good! I really liked the pho broth. It was flavorful and you didn't even have to put any ingredients in it. I would definitely recommend. It was perfect for this cold Chicago weather

Mk Noodle exceeded all of my expectations! To start, the crab rangoons are some of the best I have ever had. They were very large, full, and soft. I opted for the pad see ew with shrimp which was very good. My roommate had the brisket and meatball pho. I tried it and really liked that as well! It's a cute, small place, and the woman working at the front was so sweet! Awesome neighborhood spot

I love this place!! Their Pho's are huge and delicious. The people that work there are very nice . Their smoothies and bobas are big and good for the price. The time for serving is not long either. I will recommend 100%.

The pho here is pretty solid. The pho broth is laden with msg but the portion size and the amount of meat to price ratio makes up for it. I definitely have had better pho in the city but it's a good place to check out pho and other Vietnamese foods.

Amazing service and food! They have 2 kiosks to order food and drinks. Came with a friend and ordered so so much food and all of it was delicious. They have your classic banh mi's and pho but also banh xeo which can be tough to find at other Vietnamese restaurants. They also have smoothies and milk teas and of course Viet coffee. They also offered us some hot tea with our meal. The food is some of the best Vietnamese food I've ever had. Ingredients are clean and fresh, food was so flavorful, I wanted to keep eating but had to stop we were getting so stuffed. I highly recommend this place for some excellent Vietnamese food!

Really really good pho, as good as what you can find in Argyle! I'm so happy that this place opened up in Lakeview and now I don't have to travel so far up north to get my pho fix. We ordered the combo pho set and it was delicious! It does have tripe in it so if you're not as used to that you can ask for that to be removed or just take it out. I recommend squeezing in generous amounts of lime juice and adding some sriracha to your soup to amplify the taste. Perfect for the cold winter time in Chicago!

A recently opened Vietnam place in lakeview. My friends have gone here before and decided to go again after a night out. Whenever they bring me along I just expect mediocre pho and nothing more. I can eat it, but it reminds me nothing like homemade pho or ones in west coast or even Vietnam. MK gave me hope there could be amazing pho in Chicago. They call you to pick up your order and you place your tray away once you're finished. All my friends got an avocado smoothie as well which looked tasty! Pho: rich. Flavorful. Good portion. It is exactly what I expect when I eat pho. I finished the whole bowl including the soup. I couldn't let me money go to waste. 8.5/10 (not my highest but I don't think I'll be going to another place for pho anytime soon) It is expensive in my eyes for a bowl of pho, but I am willing to pay for it knowing how great it taste for a place in Chicago.

Decent Vietnamese food in Chicago. Saw that this place had a five-star rating and decided to give it a go, because I love Vietnamese food! You can order at a self serve touch screen kiosk or at the counter. If you pay cash, you get 10% off. The interior is still a work in progress: looks like there are some half-finished murals on the wall. They didn't have napkins, just rolls of paper towels that you help yourself to. Also a couple self serve water pitchers. Of course, superficial stuff can be forgiven if the food is good... I ordered the pho brisket and the bun shrimp vermicelli bowl with pork. The pho brisket was tasty--it was a large portion, the broth had good flavor, and there was a generous portion of beef. I would order this one again. The vermicelli bowl was okay. They used pho noodles in place of actual vermicelli, which is a much thinner noodle. And most importantly, there was a piece of pretty raw pork in the bun vermicelli noodle bowl. We let the staff know, so hopefully it doesn't happen again. Will I be coming back soon? Probably not! Don't want to bite into a piece of medium rare pig again. But I did enjoy having a big bowl of pho on a cold winter's night. That was comforting.

What a great addition to the neighborhood! It's so nice to be able to get some decent Vietnamese food without having to trek to Argyle. We popped in on a Wednesday night around 7pm for dinner. When you enter there are kiosks directly to your left where you'll place your order. We sat down to wait for our food. While we were waiting, we overheard an employee telling a customer you can get your food gluten free if you ask up front. Once our food came we were surprised and impressed by the portions. The 2 spring rolls were big and filled with more lettuce than noodles. For $6.95 I felt like this was a pretty good deal. My fiancé got the Bun Egg Roll & Pork ($13.95), which came out in a big metal bowl. He said it was pretty good and even after eating his fill had a decent amount of leftovers. The interior had a no frills feel similar to what you'd get in a Vietnamese restaurant in Argyle. Water is self serve. Overall I was impressed and am glad to have this kind of place in the neighborhood. We'll be back regularly as this isn't too far from our place. If you get a Vietnamese food craving, highly recommend giving MK NOODLE PHO a try!

Amazing food and incredibly friendly owner! MK Noodle is now our favorite spot in Chicago for casual Vietnamese food. You order at a kiosk near the entrance, which is efficient. We ordered pho, spring rolls, porkchops, and a bahn mi. The pho had a great base with lots of flavor and the beef was delicious! The porkchops were better than all the other lemongrass porkchops we've had in the Chicagoland area. The shrimp spring rolls came with a great peanut sauce and were a good portion size, and the beef bahn mi was tasty with tender, well-flavored meat. Everything was fairly priced but our interaction with the owner was what made our experience stand out. She was so sweet and told us she's only been open for two years but has 25 years of experience running a restaurant. We wish her success at MK Noodle and will definitely be back!

The restaurant is cool overall, but the main thing that excites me is the fact that the food is so good for such a low price. It is constantly one of the places I keep revisiting and it's for a reason. Love it here, hard recommend .

Experience: Once you come in, you are directed to order through the kiosk which is very convenient. Then afterwards, you sit anywhere you desire. Plenty seats available. On a Friday afternoon, with a party of two, we are able to find seat fairly quickly. Once seated, we were able to receive our order in a matter of minutes. Excellent service. Parking: Unfortunately, it appears that majority of parking is paid meter. However, it seems parking is fairly easy to find. When it comes to free spots, good luck. Worth: THE STAFF IS AMAZING. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. We had the taro milk tea (tasted delicious), BBQ Bahn Mi (Bread was so soft and THEY SERVE IT WITH FRIES) and we also had a new bowl item, which was great too! Definitely will come back.

Not bad pho. The ordering system was contactless so very Covid protocol friendly. They just call your name and you pick up your own food. I enjoyed the broth itself. No complaints except just a tiny bit in the sweet side. Overall I enjoyed my meal. And staff was nice.

This wonderful restaurant is located in lakeview. I used to work in this area but I haven't been in the neighborhood in awhile and wanted to try something new. I love Viet food, as I'm also Vietnamese soo had to stop by and try! You do have to pay for street parking but honestly it's soo worth it. They have two convenient kiosks for ordering. If you pay cash there's a 10% discount too. Lots of seating. Friendly staff. Food came out quick and was delicious! The bread for my banh mi was so soft and yummy and it came with FRIES. Such a nice touch haha. The taro milk tea was soo creamy and yummy too. I got it with strawberry popping boba. All around everything was great. Playing great K-pop music too. Would def come back when I'm back in the area!

Came with my two little girls and husband. Kid-Friendly place! You order at the kiosk and then pick up from the counter. We had the fresh spring rolls - delicious and very fresh. Steak and meatball pho and steak tripe and meatball pho - a little salty but very good. We ordered extra noodles, but really didn't need to. The bowl was packed with noodles. Fried rice with chicken - packed with peas and carrots. Very tasty. Overall very nice experience! I would recommend this place and definitely return!

Soon as you walk in your greeted by a self ordering kiosk kinda like at McDonald's now the descriptions are pretty clear so it was pretty easy to place our order and after paying for our order we went and found some seating and awaiting our names to be called to pick up our order Nice spot for some creative Pho and Thai dishes We stopped by today to try the pho and had some good choices and comb better than most spots we've visited the Pho broth is the key to everything and it didn't disappoint very flavorful with spice's and bone broth which is kinda what we were looking for especially during this cold and flu season the ribeye was thin and full of flavor mixed with the broth and noodles it was perfect and much needed for me (it's been a while since I've had pho ) very good amount of beef and noodles with plenty of broth didn't even need anything else I usually add sriracha to kick the spice up We had also got the sweet spicy basil rice with bbq pork I really enjoyed the freshness of the vegetables and sauce the bbq pork was very tasty but could of used more meat in the dish it comes with the rice on the side but didn't really use it just tasted fine and was kinda full from the pho so I just picked at the dish Did have some homemade hot chili paste on the tables but not much left so it was good and spicy but rice needed a bit more kick for me Overall I came for the PHO and I'll be back for the Pho It's that good

Mmmm, this place hits the spot. Having a solid local Vietnamese place by you is important, and since this place opened up within the last year or so, it's been my go-to for takeout Vietnamese whether that be pho, noodle or rice dishes, or their tasty Banh Mi. Honestly everything I've had here has been very good. we ordered take out last night and having a good Banh Mi for dinner was just incredible. The bread, meat, and everything on it just hit the spot. Also, their Singaporean Noodle dish was amazing! Never tried it before until last night and I was amazed at the flavor. I will 100% return here as all of my experiences with this place have been a 10/10. Thank you, MK!

You can not go wrong here. Everything was delicious! Pho was on point! Noodles amazing. The sandwich were good too. All your Vietnamese favorite all in one place and all good.

Some of the best pho available in Chicago. Slightly overpriced but the flavor is worth it! Nice walk in and pick up at counter/take back to chosen table to devour. Brisket pho is the very best. Edamame and potstickers close second. Women cooking behind the counter and making the strongest coffee ever. Badass. Support this business!
