"Moca is a neighborhood lounge that occasionally hosts events like erotic poetry open mic nights. So if you’re looking for a spot to listen to strangers express themselves through suggestive words that occasionally rhyme, this is where you should be. It’s a dark, loungey space with some comfortable banquettes along the walls, and it’s a good spot for some low-key drinks with a couple of people you need to catch up with." - Hannah Albertine, Bryan Kim

Moca Lounge is a comfortable, nicely decorated place that offers a decent happy hour. The bartender was attentive, prompt, and friendly. The reason for my 3 star review is due to the quality of the food. My party ordered Catfish strips, mini turkey burgers, hot wings & almond crusted chicken strips, all came with fries. Tbh the fries were perfect, everything else was meh. Overall Moca is a solid bar/lounge to have an affordable happy hour.

OK so I attended this establishment on a Kwanzaa crawl event.. they shouldn’t have agreed to take on an event like that if they were not properly equipped. I say that space and service wise. Their happy hour prices where cheaper than the crawl menu. The bartender was visually and verbally overwhelmed. My drink was good but I wouldn’t go back. I also spoke to regulars there and they said it’s always like that. You guys need better customer service and probable a bigger venue being so popular. My least favorite crawl spot but they had potential.

Great atmosphere. Love their spoken word and poetry they would have during the week. Decent prices for NYC and food is really good. I also believe it is a black owned business. Street parking around surrounding blocks if you drive.

My friend chose this place to have a birthday get together. When we arrived it was completely empty (apparently they lost their customers to poor service). Regardless, we got comfortable ordered lots of food (which was pretty tasty, hence the 1 star) and drinks. When it came to eating the birthday cake, they refused to give us plates and forked because we wouldn't pay an extra $25 for the "cake cutting package". Mind you, the cake was already cut and all we needed for a few small saucers. This was extremely poor service considering we were their only business and we were spending money. Not going back. Will opt for other spots in the area (there's plenty).

Four of us walked in on New Years Eve at 10:30 PM. The place was pretty empty. After showing our ID's And getting patted down, we were told by the bouncers there was a 2 drink minimum. No live music, No DJ. Not even a crowd. We turned around and left. Can't comment on the food or the drinks.

Very good place for a book signing and even if you want to have a drink with your friends

The place was nice and the food is amazing. Bbuuuttt the bartender was super super slow. It will take about 30min to just order the drink, and about 10min to get the drink and pay for it. I thought for the crowd that she had, there should have been 2 bartenders. I mean ive been to places where theres only one bartender and they were able to handle the big crowd, but im sorry, the lady at this bar is not ready for that.
