Great little mochi place here. The person working when I went in was very pleasant and helpful. I wanted to try the vegan flavors so I got a bento box of 4 - passion fruit, lychee, mango and yuzu. The box provided a little wider stick to eat them with which was convenient and nice it wasn’t plastic! My favorite was the yuzu flavor! I was surprised the mango and passion fruit flavors weren’t stronger. Overall it was pretty good and I’d grab another few next time nearby. Thanks for having non-dairy offerings!

i've been here multiple times whenever im craving mochi. it's usually good to eat immediately after purchase, but last time i went, it was a bit too hard for my liking. overall, it tends to be soft and chewy, and not too cold. it is pricey though, especially the special flavors at about $5 a piece. i like that they have seasonal flavors. some flavors are not worth it. staff is super friendly and nice; they're always explaining each flavor.

Mochi ice cream is so good here, I love the mango and the jasmine boba the most! They have a lot of seasonal flavors. Staff are always so kind here, too. I’ve been back a few times already :)

Decent quality mochi ice cream. The creations are more interesting but was hoping to see more flavor options. I got the passion fruit and the white chocolate caramel corns.

They take Mochi to a whole new level here. Highly recommend this place and their Mochi! They are theeeee best Mochi I've had here in the Tri-State area. They have a variety of flavors to choose from and you HAVE TO TRY THEIR SMORES STYLE MOCHI!!!!! If these could be transported, I would have totally bought a dozen to bring back home to Jersey with me so I can share it with my family. It is soooo soo soo worth every tasty bite. The flavors of everything we tried were so subtle, not too strong, but enough to know the flavor of what you're eating. SO GOOD! Not to mention, the service here is so nice. They are just so sweet and patient. They answered all our questions and told us all about their products. I can't wait to go back for more!!!! 10/10 highly recommend 👌

Incredibly disappointing experience ordering vegan mochi as a Christmas gift and the person receiving non vegan option. When writing to Mochidoki -they replied with their online policy of flavor availability. Who sends non vegan when vegan is chosen?!?! I will never buy from them again.

It's a cute little shop in SoHo! They have so many flavors (including vegan ones and speciality ones). Hands down, my favorite flavor is the vegan passionfruit. You get that passionfruit flavor. Definitely stop by if you're looking for a sweet treat especially in the summer.

This is the best mochi ice cream I've ever had!! it's 3.25 a piece so premium but WORTH IT I love the passion fruit ice cream inside a lot and the mochi outside is soo soft. I'm definitely coming back

We were excited to return to mochidoki but my goodness , the sticker shock made it not worth it! They had 14 flavors and a dozen is $36 but by the time we selected our dozen - the price rose to $56 as we were told several were 'special selection ' yet this was not indicated clearly, if anywhere ! They are good but certainly not over $4.60 a piece good!! And to be honest the regular flavors were better !

I was super excited to try a bunch of their flavors. They have cool and unique flavors. Loved that they had vegan flavors. There was not a single vegan flavor I didn't like. I especially enjoyed the lychee and passion fruit one. I was a little disappointed by the other flavors because it lacked a bit of flavor. I appreciated how soft and chewy the outside was. The store is small but the mochi is easy to take with you to walk and eat. The staff was friendly and the service was super quick. It is a bit on the pricier side for ice cream because of how small it is.

Such a convenient place to grab mochi. It's the perfect summer snack. I would recommend the coconut mochi because it was very fresh.

Such a unique dessert! I honestly rarely have fresh mochi ice cream. It's always either from the frozen packs at the grocery store or as a dessert at a restaurant, which probably ends up to be the same thing. Mochidoki offers soo many unique flavors of mochi ice cream! It was so difficult to choose some because they all looked delicious. I ended up going with the Carrot Cake and Lychee. The Carrot Cake was waayyy better than the Lychee. The first bite of Carrot Cake was strong in the vanilla and coconut (?) flavors, but the carrot shines through as you continue eating. Very good, and I loved that it isn't a common ice cream flavor! The Lychee was a little disappointing. The ice cream was a very ice-y texture, and it didn't have much flavor. The service was nice enough, we were able to get recommendations on flavors. I will say, this is a really difficult dessert to eat in the winter. The shop is super tiny, and there's no seating inside. We had to go to some benches at a park across the street, and it was super cold (at least the ice cream didn't melt though!). I'd love to try more flavors in the future!

We were waiting for our table at Sugarfish and popped in here to try a couple of the mochi's, coconut and I forgot the other one since it didn't really have any flavor for two seemed a little excessive! I think you could buy a pack of mochi at Trader Joe's for less. I guess if there's a market for a mochi store, this is the place to go! The name is definitely cute! I would probably come back here and give it another chance!

Got the salted caramel mochi icecream and was pretty disappointed. The inside was great- the salted caramel was creamy and not too sweet- well balanced between the saltiness of the caramel and the slight sweetness. Unfortunately, when I get mochi icecream, I'm looking forward to the mochi part- and that was severely lacking. The mochi is thin and hard and not chewy. It almost tasted a smidge leathery, even after waiting the recommended 10 minutes. For such an expensive dessert, it just didn't deliver.

Located in a central area in Soho, very busy and around a lot of shopping. They only allowed one group inside at a time, so we had to wait outside for a few minutes. I had passion fruit and cake batter, both of which I really enjoyed! Although, it is a little pricey, so it's definitely a place I would go when I want to splurge a little bit.

I loved the mochi ice cream here! My boyfriend and I got the matcha and lychee flavor. Both were so yummy. They have vegan flavors available too! Definitely overpriced ($3) for its size but it was worth a try. The servers were nice and friendly. Mochidoki is super close to many other restaurants so it's location is pretty convenient! There's no seating inside and the store itself is quite small. Overall rating: 9/10

Interesting mochi flavors We passed by this place and couldn't resist going in. They have a lot of unique machi flavors that I have not seen before. We went for the lychee and acai cacao crunch. Lychee was very fruity and actually surprisingly tart. Acai was sweet with nice crunchy bits throughout. Overall high quality with interesting flavors.

Came across this cute store while walking around soho. The Pandan pistachio was SO good and so unique. The vanilla chip is very basic and barely had any chips but good for folks that want to play it safe. I liked that the mochi came soft since some mochi places you have to wait for it to soften and I simply dont have the patience for that

I came across Mochidoki during a good festival. It was the first time I tried Mochi and I tried three different flavors(strawberry, cake batter, vanilla). I didn't know what I was expecting but it was such interesting flavors and textures. All flavors tasted very delicious. It was like bitesize ice cream with a hard jelly around it. I would love to try more flavors.

One of my favorite spots to get vegan ice cream. Love their vegan mango, chocolate Hazelnut, coconut, lychee, and passion fruit. I've ordered multiple times and cannot get enough!

SO YUMMY. These flavors POPPED. Really intense party on your tongue time vibrance. My favorite were the passion fruit and mango. So happy I stopped in and with the 90 degree heat it was the perfect snack. The mochi was phenomenal and the multi colors really were fun. Definitely worth while!

Slick little place in Soho that serves up delicious mochi ice cream goodness with many different flavors to choose from. If you're with a group of 4 then get the set of 4 and save $.25 on each mochi. Feeling ambitious? Go for the box of 12 for even bigger savings and for the best that this place has to offer. Yes, each mochi can be a bit pricey but it's NYC and the flavors here are unique and not something you find in the supermarket...except for chocolate, strawberry, etc. but that's beside the point. I ordered 4 mochi and we got strawberry, earl grey, acai, and purple potato. Each one was so good but each one also went down super quick...they're so good! We'll have to go back next time to try out more flavors. We went 30 minutes before closing so of course our selection to choose from at the time was not as big as what they usually offer. We'll go back again and splurge on the 12-pack for sure next time.

What a cute spot. This came up on my list as I was searching for nearby gluten free desserts. It was next door to the vet clinic I was working at for the day. This is definitely more of an upscale dessert which means it is a bit on the more expensive side. I was alerted that all the flavors were GF except the banana pudding. I got the mango mochi, vanilla chip, Salted Caramel and everything bagel. They offer ice for an additional $2 if you aren't going to eat it right away. They were also giving out free samples of an ice cream that was going to be on the menu. My favorite flavor was the Mango and my least favorite was the everything bagel. It didn't mesh well with the ice cream but I had to try out a unique flavor. Overall the space was clean and the staff was friendly.

The kids wanted mochi and this place was recommended to us. None of us were overly happy with what we got. One is $3.25. 4 are $12. The red bean and cake batter had no flavor. Coconut and lychee were good. Strawberry was the favorite but still okay

A small detour after a Soho shopping run -- It was evening and our stomachs were just grumbly enough for this place to catch our eye and for us to ubiquitously agree to go inside. It didn't take us long to decide on a 12 piece combination. I chose lychee (vegan), PASSIONFRUIT (vegan), jasmine boba and black sesame for myself. The worker put them in a four piece to go box for us. Later, when we ate them, every single one hit. We brought them home on the metro so they were soft and tender and absolutely melt in your mouth. The vegan ones were just as good as the nonvegan ones. I have to say the passionfruit and the jasmine boba were especially standout. The texture and flavors of this place is honestly unmatched in terms of ice cream mochi for me. The mochi is soft and pulls nicely and has a bit of nice bounciness and the ice cream inside was creamy and flavorful. I tried my friends ube purple sweet potato which was less flavorful but that may have been because they used real sweet potato and not extract. Price is high but def worth a try.

Finished dinner and thought we can look for some sweets! Came across this mochi store on yelp and told myself I had to try it!! I didn't look at all the pictures but I thought regardless if you buy 4, you'll get a box. But I figured that was not the case, which was a bit disappointing because we wanted it for instagram. As we enter the store, the person behind the counter did not greet us until I said hi. I felt as though he was very tired from working and we didn't feel welcome. Anyway, the options for mochi with the toppings were limited, there were only two in the showcase. We had lychee, mango, purple sweet potato and white chocolate caramel popcorn. The mango piece was very hard, assuming he just took it out, it had a tint of coconut in it which I didn't enjoy. The white chocolate caramel was just caramel drizzle, the white chocolate didn't taste like white chocolate. The purple sweet potato had little flavor. The lychee was just WEIRD. We tasted the lychee, but as you keep it in your mouth, you'll taste a bit.. plastic-y.. a bit like detergent. But that was the worst one. Overall, I don't think I'll be back again. Pretty good mochi ice cream, but a little pricey. My favorite flavor is vanilla chip, salted caramel, and everything bagel. They do take out only and they do sell insulated bag with dry ice to keep it cold.

I've had this place on my to go list for a long time. Winter is too cold and summer is too hot for it. Springtime 60℉ perfect timing to go. There was a short wait outside and there's a sign saying one group/person at a time. The shop isn't that big but can easily fit a bigger group. I got four pieces: strawberry, passionfruit, mango, coconut I originally wanted matcha but they didn't have it. Four has a discount. Overall I'm impressed at the texture and temperature of this. The employees constantly open and close the fridge to get orders for customers, but the ice cream and mochi are still able to stay the right consistency. Not all four flavors were of the same consistency and temperature but I was comfortable biting and chewing all of them. Mochi skin is thin and soft, but I wish it was chewier. I didn't inspect 360° but I don't see an obvious fold or opening in the skin. Good job for creating that smoothness. Also the powder on the outside was very thin, didn't bother me at all or leave a mark on my mouth. Ice cream is solid enough to safely stick a pick through but also soft enough to bite without numbing my teeth. It's also "strong" enough to not be all mushed or ugly after I bite. It lets me cleanly jump from one flavor to another without making a mess. People compare this place with supermarket single pack ice cream mochi, but simply the temperature and texture regulation is crucial enough for me to buy it here. All four flavors I tried were more mild than I had hoped. I was hoping they'd taste like a less sweet version of Häagen-Dazs but far from it. They say they use all natural ingredients which I appreciate and can taste the cleanliness. I still wish they can make flavors bolder. Passionfruit This is their #1 best seller. It's not as tart as I expected but it's one of the stronger flavors from the four I got. Strawberry For some reason I told myself this is a must try after reading Yelp reviews. It's much much more mild than expected. Maybe calling it strawberries and cream/strawberry shortcake would be more accurate. In that case I would want a more prominent dairy flavor esp when this one isn't vegan. Would adding dried strawberries or jam help with the flavor?? Mango This was the favorite of one of the employees so I chose it. It came out weaker and "greener" than expected. I was expecting something like dried mango. Can they literally add dried mango?? Coconut This is the only flavor with mix ins. There's toasted coconut bits inside. That helped a LOT with flavor without being too overpowering. It made the texture more fun too. I appreciate this place for selling a speciality dessert and doing a good job with texture and temperature. Although I'm not fully satisfied with the flavors, I can imagine myself wanting to come back, bringing friends, and buying for parties.

A pricey, but delicious treat to have if you're ever walking around Soho. This place caught my eye when I was walking around soho shopping. I love that various flavors they have and they offer 4 piece or 12 piece boxes. I ended up getting the 4 piece option and grabbed : vanilla chip, passion fruit, black sesame and banana pudding. The vanilla chip didn't have a lot of "chip" in it so that was disappointing, but the passion fruit mochi was delicious. The flavor is bold and strong so if you don't like this, I don't recommend trying this. The black sesame was very good that it reminded me of eating black sesame ice cream. Lastly, the banana pudding was also delicious with a nice balance of sweetness.

Mochidoki is an artisan mochi spot that has a great variety of flavors! This was my first time visiting the store so I took some time to decide on flavors, and I'm glad the staff were patient with me. I went with the 12pk mochi for $30 which came with their insulated bag and dried ice. I live an hour away, so my mochi survived the commute. They also have vegan options! Great for those with dietary restrictions. :) My favorite flavors so far are the: espresso, ube, red bean, lychee, and vanilla choco chip.

With so many flavours how can one choose?! We ended up getting a box of 12. Unfortunately by the time we got to the front of the short line, they just ran out of a few flavours that we wanted to try. Overall, each of the mochi was delicious. The skin was soft and fresh and the ice cream on the inside were not too creamy and not too icy. None of the flavours we got were flops. I really wished they still had lychee though when I went! I do recommend trying any of their rotational or seasonal flavours. When we went, it was everything bagel. And legit it was an everything bagel! The skin had the garlic sesame taste and the flavour inside was cream cheese! Slightly weird sensation while trying it but the flavour is a bit addictive hah.

The Vegan Mango Mochi was super delicious and the Customer Service was top tier! My only disappointment was I didn't buy more - 10/10 recommended!

We stumbled upon this place while we were in the area to shop. Looking at the other reviews, we may have just come on a bad day. The staff working was not very friendly. We ordered a few pieces of mochi ice cream and a bubble tea. The mochi ice cream was okay - I hate to say it, but Trader Joe's mochi ice cream gives them a run for their money, and at a fraction of the price. The bubble tea we had wasn't great either - plenty of other options in the city.

I love their mochi ice cream here. They have wonderful variety of fresh ice cream covered with soft mochi. They're not too sweet and have several vegan choices (passion fruit, lychee, mango, coconut, chocolate hazelnut). I bought a dozen for $30 that packed in a bag with dry ice and will stay frozen up to two hours. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for fresh and flavorful mochi ice cream

I love traditional mochi. I like mochi ice cream. Mochidoki is definitely good at offering a large variety of mochi ice cream for the masses but at what amounts to about 3-5 bucks per mochi, it's just so so for me. The flavor menu is pretty large - probably about 15-20 flavors but many of them fall flat. The Asian flavors like red bean, green tea, passionfruit and lychee were far better than their western counterparts (i.e. red velvet). On the plus side, they do package the desserts in a cold bad with dry ice for free which ensures that your purchase doesn't melt. Overall their product is just OK (although I don't know if anyone can make ice cream mochi all that great). For the price, I didn't think it was that much better than the ones you get from an Asian supermarket. If you want to try for the novelty, go for it but I don't know if it's worth going back more than once.

If you're willing to try diverse flavor pairings, this is your sweet spot! Pistachio is ALWAYS sold out so definitely pick another flavor. The staff are lovely and mannerly, they package your to go mochis in insulated bags, and always explain what the seasonal flavors are (repeatedly if you're ever in awestruck at the myriad of colors in the display case like me). Although the space is cramped, you'll fine yourself quickly in and out anyways.

It's not cheap, but very fun for a special occasion. I came on a Friday about 20 minutes after they opened to buy two 4-piece bento boxes for a friend's birthday. The four piece is imo a good value and made for a fancy looking gift. The girl working the counter was great. I purchased an insulated bag with dry ice so that the mochi wouldn't melt on my 50 minute subway journey to Brooklyn in May and it worked very well, but if you're eating the mochi sooner than that it probably isn't necessary. I had matcha, black sesame, strawberry, and chocolate hazelnut. The matcha was exactly what you'd expect from any green tea ice cream, so as someone who eats green tea/matcha flavors regularly I'd skip that one in the future for something more fun. Strawberry was a little disappointing, I didn't get a ton of fruit flavor. Black sesame always delivers, and chocolate hazelnut was a pleasant surprise, sometimes chocolate can be hit or miss depending on the ice cream form but this was so good! My friend had black sesame, purple potato, earl grey, and red bean. Similarly, she said black sesame was great, red bean wasn't red bean-y enough, purple potato was as expected for someone familiar with the flavor, and earl grey was a delicious surprise.   I had a nitro hojicha on impulse when they were out of nitro matcha. I've had nitro cold brew and liked it but was not into this at all, I'll stick to regular hojicha and should've just ordered a matcha latte.

Prime spot for mochi lovers! Mochidoki has a pretty wide selection of unique and tasty mochi flavors. I got 4 of them: red bean, ube, chocolate hazelnut, and lychee. I could tell that those actual ingredients were used in making the mochi, as the flavors were extremely representative of what they were supposed to be and were really tasty. $12 for 4 mochi does seem to be a bit overpriced though. This is a very small shop and I only saw one worker there, who was pretty friendly. There were no other customers in the shop, so the service speed was essentially instant. Overall, Mochidoki is the place to go for high quality mochi with some unique flavors. I would give 4.5 stars if I could, but despite the great quality, because there wasn't anything super special and the prices are a bit high, I will have to round down to 4 stars. Nevertheless, if you are a mochi lover, you should really give Mochidoki a try.

If you're into mochi ice cream, this is a decent place to stop by with some unique options (though not as many as advertised depending on what's in supply). Gets cheaper if you're in a big group and buy more. 5/5 service: came by on a Wedn night right before closing and were the only customers in the shop. The guy was helpful with recommendations and checked in the back for flavors that seemed sold out in the counter, but they seem to have a good supply in the back. If you order the omakase (12 mochis), you're gifted an insulated bag with dry ice. 3/5 flavors: some hits, some misses, lots of flavors that you could get at Trader Joe's or a Costco. I highly recommend the passionfruit and mango. The acai cacao was very cacao forward so it depends if you're into that. The lychee was strange and almost flavorless so hard pass.

The staffs were very friendly. Desserts was good, there were single, 4 pieces, or 12 pieces. Some of the mochi were vegan options and they are gluten free desserts! The store is clean. Would go back again and get a 12 pack next time!

Wonderful mochi ice cream in a broad range of flavors that taste exactly as advertised! However, they're definitely pricier than the competition and don't seem to be made on-site. So if you're on a budget, stop by a grocery store and pick up another brand (or even this one) and you'll get much of the same stuff while saving a few bucks.

Stumbled upon this store because it's next to Stussy. I really liked their mochi; it had great texture and maintained softness. I tried the purple sweet potato thinking it'd taste like ube but it was much more subtle. My favourite was the chocolate.

Got a gift card and was excited to try a variety of mochi ice cream especially on a hot summer day. Glad my fiancé was with me and we ended up sharing 8 pieces. Started with a set of 4 for $10. So many different flavors to choose from and decided on pistachio, sesame, matcha and coconut. There was a very small table in the corner but it's not for eating indoor. We stood outside of the shop and decided to get another four pieces since they were really good. The next round of our selection included Ube, red bean, espresso, mango and expresso. A couple of them were a bit icy and overall we were very happy with all the choices. I asked about the mochi that had really nice decorations as posted by fellow yelpers . Unfortunately the staff said those were no longer available so just basic mochi ice cream for now. Come check them out if you are in the area.

High quality mochi ice cream! These are the flavors that I ordered from favorite to least favorite: Lychee- So refreshing! Chocolate- Rich, good quality chocolate ice cream. Cake Batter- I like that it wasn't as overly sweet as other cake batter ice creams. Matcha Coconut- I thought it was good, but I enjoyed the other flavors more. I would probably get these all of the time if I could. They were so delicious!

Super cute dessert shop dedicated to mochi ice cream! They have a bunch of dairy and non-dairy options which was great. They sell one piece for $3, 4, for $10 and 12 for $20, so we ended up getting a 12 piece box to split. All the flavors we got were delicious! My faves were black sesame, milk tea boba and the passion fruit. Highly recommend visiting

Love this mochi!!!! I got matcha, coconut, milk & cereal and ube. I loved them all but i think the milk & cereal and the ube were probably my favorites because the ice cream was creamier on the inside. If you've never had mochi before, this is the perfect place to try it out!

Stopped by today to get myself a treat. There were sooo many flavors it was so hard to choose just one. I ended up going with lychee and it was a nice subtle flavor. I'll be honest not the best mochi I have had because it was grainy to eat but the flavor was great - wish it was smoother.

I had thought these were a little too pricey, but now I realize that this place offers the best quality of mochi ice cream and deserves every penny lol. The flavors and texture are really 10/10. Make sure you are not eating them when they are rock hard (once the mochi & ice cream starts to get soft, it is time to taste!). And if you want to taste more flavors at home, they provide dry ice & insulated bag for free when you buy 12 ($30 worth). My personal favorites are purple sweet potato (ube), coconut, strawberry, and mango. But honestly all the flavors are delicious you can't go wrong.

My love for mochi ice cream started when I was a kid in the freezer aisle. Now that they have a freshly made mochi spot with all the Asian flavors, what could go wrong? Besides their fancy packaging, they also offer a cooling bag during their travels to prevent them from melting during your commute. Pricey but worth it.

Received a box shipment of assorted mochi ice cream bites as a gift from Mochidoki. The 24 piece Signature Collection was shipped in a styrofoam container cooled with dry ice. The mochi ice cream bites were displayed in a plastic tray and neatly arranged in a box. Following the packaged instruction which requires freezing 2 hrs to temper the ice cream upon delivery, I decided to serve the bites the following day. The mochi bites were surprisingly soft and chewy. The flavored ice cream fillings (MATCHA, RED BEAN, VANILLA CHIP, CHOCOLATE, PASSION FRUIT - VEGAN, LYCHEE - VEGAN, BLACK SESAME, UBE, SALTED CARAMEL, STRAWBERRY, ESPRESSO, COCONUT - VEGAN) were delicious; each flavor was a surprise to the taste buds. I definitely plan to visit the store and try the nicely decorated looking ones that I see in the other reviews.
