Google
The pizza in the pictures has cupped pepperoni which made me go in to order, but the actual pizza that came out was terrible, the sauce was too salty. Pepperoni was worse than dominos. And it took way too long to arrive.

Yelp
This is the same creators as Sushirrito, so I thought I would give it a try. They are open for lunch now and I got the medium combo mochi pizza. I liked the crunchy crust and mochi inside as well as the flavors were original and complimentary to the crust of the pizza. Will definitely be coming back with friends for dinner!

Yelp
Saw this on ig reels and was curious to how mochi pizza would taste like. I was in the area one day with some friends and wanted to try it out. Mochiko mochi pizza shares its storefront with sushirrito. I had two friends with me, so we shared the large pizza with 3 flavors -- Japanese curry, pepperoni, and the spicy pork. It came out hot and we were excited to try. unfortunately the flavors were pretty bland, but overall we thought the spicy pork was best. The mochi dough was a nice chew and it was an interesting concept but the lack of flavoring in the dough itself was also hindering its ability to be good. I think if they added more flavoring to everything... it would be a lot better. Also... we were satisfied so I guess $20 to share between 3 people for lunch isn't that bad.

Yelp
Mochiko Mochi Pizza is combined with Sushiritto; ended up ordering one large mochi pizza and one sushiritto. For the large mochi pizza, we got the japanese chicken curry, spicy pork and soy-braised beef. I didn't like how thin the crust was and it didn't taste mochi-like at all. It was too soft and the flavors weren't good either. The only flavor that was okay was the spicy pork. For the sushiritto, we got the latin ninja and the quality of the salmon was not good.

Yelp
I would honestly rate this as a 3.5 in my opinion. Husband and I were intrigued after watching all these influencers rave about it on IG. Also don't forget, this location is inside the Sushiritto restaurant. You order with the same cashier, they just have the menu posted on the wall. I appreciate their locations having an option to order online for pickup otherwise you're waiting about 20 or so minutes for your order. And with Palo Alto parking, I'd rather just have a quick pick up and go. The mochi crust is quite interesting. I liked the fact that the crust itself still had the crispiness/crunch to it. But it was so overly chewy that after awhile your mouth gets tired of chewing. The flavors were ok too. My husband and I really liked the Soy Braised Beef the most. It had a burst of flavors that we didn't get from the pepperoni and spicy pork. It was an okay experience overall. Don't think I would drive out of my way to come here, but if I'm already in the area I may possibly stop by to try this once more.

Yelp
Was looking up a he other location when I noticed Palo Alto soft opening. Ordered online before leaving the office- was hot & ready exactly on time. If u like the " Q" of chewy Mochi you are gonna love this. What I loved even more is nice crisp edges so it wasn't all chewy nor soft. Chicken karage w corn & curry sauce is most unique. There's also Pepperoni, cheese & spicy pork. I like the $20 combo option for indecisive folks like me. Not a huge pizza but quality tasted good and u know Mochi is quite filling. A nice addition to University Ave!

Yelp
Came here to try the mochi pizza. We arrive mid afternoon and wasn't busy at all. We ordered right away and plenty of seating. It's simple inside and nothing fancy. We got a shrimp tempura hand roll and mochi pizza. The hand roll was simple and good and what we expected. The mochi pizza was decent but don't feel the need to ever eat again. It's nice that you can choose a combo of toppings for each size of pizza. We got half spicy pork and half pepperoni. The toppings were fine but didn't love the cream sauce on the sausage half. Not sure if it was the taste/flavor or the fact that it was cream sauce. The pepperoni was good. Overall, it was the crust that we didn't love. I like mochi but didn't love it for pizza crust. It all just felt too heavy. It did have a bit of nice crisp to the bottom but couldn't finish it all. Happy to have tried it tho.

Yelp
I don't know how Mochiko have 4 stars, do they have any return customers at all? The texture and the taste is disgusting.. the "mochi" is like the Japanese rice cake, and the sauce is very salty. The pizza is so bad, we couldn't finish it.

Yelp
I ordered online to pick up, and the order took around 15 minutes. Mochiko uses the space in the Sushirito restaurant, and customers are welcome to dine in. I picked up only, so I can't comment on the service. Parking is street, but there is also a lot behind the building for free! I ordered the medium combo pizza with half pepperoni and half spicy pork. I was really excited to try because I've been seeing it on TikTok, but I was so disappointed, and my boyfriend was disgusted, only lasting two bites. The mochi dough had a nice crunch and was chewy as mochi is, however, with the toppings, it became unpleasantly goopy and gummy. The cheese was the worst part, it congealed on top of the crust, tasted plasticky, and I could peel it off the crust. The crust is just not a good vehicle and was not able absorb the sauce since I was able to wipe off the marinara sauce with my finger. Pepperoni was good, but pork was mushy and left a strange aftertaste. Overall, I will not be coming back. Toppings are low quality, and crust needs improvement to hold sauce and toppings. It's overhyped on social media and doesn't live up to it.

Yelp
I love mochi food because of the chew. I am leaving this review in hope the feedback improves the tastes. The sauce on the pizza takes like ketchup and not Italian sauce. No oregano or spices. It could really use some improvement in the flavor. The crust is chewy like mochi, but I think that threw me off. I was expecting something crispier. Maybe if the crust was thinner. I am neutral with this, but I think I like the traditional flour crust better.

Yelp
Mochiko Mochi Pizza is inside the Sushiritto storefront. The area is great, service is quick, and the place is pretty clean. There's a few small tables that get filled up quickly. This place is the first time I've heard of Mochi Pizza so I was intrigued. Got the combo, spicy pork & pepperoni for $17. They say 15 mins, but it came out quicker which is great! Only 4 slices though, 2 of each flavor, kinda small! But I guess the price point is alright for something so unique. The mochi crust is definitely a nice touch, pretty chewy with a nice crispy edge. Unfortunately, the crust and pepperoni were the only things I liked about it and I really enjoy me some pizza! I wasn't a fan of the sauce, cheese, or pork topping. Unless they rework the flavors, I'm sticking to the Sushirittos and skipping the pizza next time.

Yelp
With crispy edges and a chewy interior, mochi pizza is more than just a novelty. Mochiko successfully executes this unique dish and serves it in just a few flavors which are simple but powerful. The Asian-inspired flavors were eye-catching and heightened the interest of fusion, though I felt the curry chicken to be a little weak. Being located inside the Sushirrito was slightly confusing, as they only seem to take online orders, but the physical location still seems to handle serving two menus. I'd like to come back again!

Yelp
Excellent. The denser dough makes it more filling. I found the large size to be more than enough for two people due to this.

Yelp
I placed an order online but had to cancel right away. I called but couldn't talk to a human; only voicemail. I left several voicemails; hope you got it in time! Update: got a call from Alan and canceled the order. Thanks!!!

Yelp
I saw this place opened recently in the same location as Sushirrito on University Ave. It takes about 20-30 minutes to make the pizza. I tried the cheese one that has mozzarella, tomato jam, and garlic chives. The mochi crust is quite chewy as expected with mochi. It is important to eat the pizza when it is hot. It has that mochi softness, but it was crispy on the bottom and around the edges, which adds to the texture. The tomato jam has a big tomato flavor, which I liked, though it did seem a little salty. There was a decent amount of cheese. Overall, it was very tasty and a good gluten free pizza option.
