The Best Donuts In Chicago

"This Near West Side spot is part of a Hawaiian-based chain with shops all over the country. Chains can be hit-or-miss, but this place's mochi donuts are great. Mochinut’s rice flour base creates a sticky, stretchy interior with a crispy exterior. They have over 20 to choose from, but the savory and fruity flavors are the best. So go for the black sesame, matcha, or mango." - adrian kane, john ringor

Mochinut - Review - Near West Side - Chicago - The Infatuation

"This Near West Side donut shop is part of a Hawaiian-based chain with locations across the country. And though chains are usually hit-or-miss, their mochi donuts are great. Mochinut’s rice flour base means they have a stretchy, sticky interior and a crispy exterior. There are over 20 to choose from, but the savory and fruity flavors complement the dough more than the straight-up sweet ones. So go for the black sesame, matcha, or mango." - John Ringor

Mochinut was amazing! The interior atmosphere is beautiful and super clean, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a treat. They offer a fantastic variety—from delicious corn dogs and mochi donuts in unique flavors to refreshing bubble tea and more. The Ube and Rose flavored mochi donuts were absolutely my favorite—so flavorful and soft! This is definitely a must-stop spot if you're in the area

Google
These are some very good donuts made from rice flour which gives it a unique texture. Its slightly denser that flour donuts, but a great chew. I luv the creativity in the types of donut flavors that can be made. These type of donuts take on the flavors of the ingredients used to top these creations. Additionally, they are not overly sugary sweet (even when drizzled like their churro donut) and tend to be a bit smaller though they are consistent in size and shape. My only drawback is that the price is a bit higher than other donuts with a bit more mass. Nonetheless, their lemon mochinut was the perfect sweet and zing. Nutella was sweet and silky. The chocolate churro was just right on the sugar drizzle. Im sure their corndogs are as good as Kong Dog but did not try at this establishment. The space was homie and fairly sparse but was functional.

This was my first time trying mochi donuts, and they were delicious. They are light and airy and not too sweet. I had the iced vanilla latte with oat milk, and my husband got a hot one. It was the perfect combo. The staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. The place was super adorable. Parking is paid. Come prepared to park and walk. Worth it though!

Google
Beautiful bakery. I tried the passion fruit tea and a doughnut. Tea was refreshing and doughnut was light and tasty. You’re definitely gonna wait more than one.

Google
It was my first time here, cashier was nice and very helpful and man I loved their hot cheeto corn dog! I chose all cheese and it was a pretty decent size with so much cheese, their mochi donuts are so cute and taste really good and are packaged in a nice cute box

Google
Teas are very good, I like that you can choose the sweetness level. I got the taro tea and it was very tasty. I saw other reviews about the taro tea being brown, but it was fine and still had good taro flavor, they just mix with an iced tea which makes it look a little darker. The mochinut dough base is good and light. Some flavors were better than others. The Oreo was our favorite of the ones we got.

Google
talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before. Mochinut has absolutely THE best Korean corn dog. Get the potato one with spicy mayo. It will change your life. The mochi donuts were fine. They only have about 8 flavors each day and the day we went they just didn't have some flavors we wanted. Of the ones we got, Pistachio was absolutely bomb. I would get a 12 pack of just pistachio. The service was slow for getting corn dogs but the place was super busy. Totally worth it. I also got the iced mocha. It was okay. Tasted like chocolate milk. Corn dog was FIREEEEE!

Google
Very friendly worker at the front and attentive to details. The corn dogs were very yummy and mochi doughnuts were fresh and tasty. Would recommend!

Yelp
The almond croissant was very good! I also like their mochinut and the strawberry drink. The egg sandwich is very creamy and tasty. Will try the corn dog next time

Yelp
Ambiance - super cute donut spot, areas for ig photos, offered a couple tables for customers to sit Service - super quick Food - love that they rotate their flavors, yuzu was so yummy!
google avatar

Felicia K.

Yelp
Ambiance was very put together on the inside. Jasmine milk tea was delicious. Shaken espresso was delicious. The doughnuts were not bad. I wish it had a bit more flavor but it wasn't bad. The service was extremely slow but very courteous.

Yelp
Great dessert shop! It's certainly pricey but the chew of the pastry and wide variety of alternating flavors are a nice treat on occasion. Maybe some flavors may not be as good as other flavors but I think that's subjective. Overall, they're tasty treats. Recently, they introduced their version of the viral Korean egg sandwiches. The bread was buttery and fried. Egg was fluffy. Really good. Their jasmine milk tea was fragrant and nice. Staff are always nice. Decent amount of seating for small groups.
google avatar

Yelp
Mochi donuts for the win! Relatively quick ordering time and a few seats to pass the time. There are also fruit smoothies with boba for kids (not just milk tea) and crispy corn dogs with fries. Something delectable for all ages!

Yelp
We happened to walk by and saw the promotion. So we gave it a try. The tea was actually pretty good! We would come back for more snacks!
google avatar

Yelp
I don't think I'm the biggest fan of mochi donuts but still giving this 5 stars because I think it would be great for people who like them! They had a fantastic assortment of flavors and although I didn't care much for the plain donut the coffee frosting was DELISH on mine. Also they have a bunch of other items! They have corn dogs, soft serve, and boba tea so stop by even if you don't like mochi donuts. I think the name could be a bit of a disadvantage for them cuz I had no idea they served other stuff. The place is small but cute with decorations and service was fast and friendly.
google avatar

Vivian L.

Yelp
This place is so cute with delicious donut flavors that they change every week. The place was very clean and the staff was very nice and we got our non-donut food items in a timely manner. There's complementary lemon water for customers, and there's enough seating for about 6 small groups of people. I saw most customers come in for donuts and leave, so there was plenty of space to sit on a Thursday afternoon. The mochi donuts are chewy and I think most of the flavor comes from the glaze and toppings and not from the donuts themselves. The boba in the brown sugar milk tea has a nice chew to it and the drink itself is great. My friend also got a corn dog and it looked like it tastes good. The sauce apparently is very spicy, but I guess it's up to your spice tolerance. Overall I really liked the place and the donuts.

Yelp
Mochi donuts are one of my favorite desserts & almost every time I'm in Chicago, I go to mochinuts for dessert! I've only ever been to this location & it's amazing every time. The place is small but decorated very cute & the workers are always super friendly with a smile on their face! My favorite flavors so far has been chocolate churro and cheesecake but there are so many more I haven't tried that I'm dying to. I see that they opened up a location in Arlington Heights a little bit ago which is closer to me so I will have to check that out!

Yelp
Really happy to see more Asian dessert places opening up around Chicago! Came here on a Friday night around 8 and got a half dozen donuts: cherry, lychee, yuzu, cookies and cream, ube with fruity pebbles, and strawberry funnel cake, aka all the flavors they had remaining. My top two were surprisingly the cookies and cream and the yuzu; I think this was because those were the least sweet glazes. Negatives: donut dough and glazes skew very sweet, and the flavors sometimes tasted a bit artificial. The glazes for some of them were very wet, too, so splitting donuts with others can get messy. They also close pretty early - 9pm on Fridays :'( Positives: lots of flavors on the menu, including some pretty uncommon ones - though if you come late in the day like we did, seems like the flavors are somewhat limited. They also have very cute seating and have a little lemon water dispenser! The donuts also have the nice, chewy and bouncy texture I'm looking for and are aesthetically pleasing. The location is convenient too - right next to UIC and near a bunch of restaurants and other dessert places.

Yelp
I saw this place pop up recently on Taylor street and finally got the chance to try it this summer. I got a Thai iced tea and a chocolate pretzel Mochinut, which essentially tastes like a chewy donut. Both were really good! I love how the iced tea comes in a can that you pop open. My only complaint is that this place was kind of pricy/gimmicky for what it is. Definitely worth trying once or twice!

Yelp
Real good donuts non greasy. Real good taste and super friendly service. Many flavors to choose from and they also cold coffees and a good place to mingle. I was very happy with this new Round shaped Donuts

Yelp
A Mochinut has arrive to the Midwest?! What a treat! The consistency and texture is the same as we have in California which is amazing. We ordered a dozen for a gathering we were having and I was said to see no Asian flavors presented. The only one was a banana milk. We ordered the tiramisu, strawberry shortcake, fruity pebbles, raspberry funnel cake, and churro. While the donut itself is really good, the flavors were muted and what looked like would have punch was all just pretty muted in flavor, just tasting the sugareyness than what it was supposed to taste like. Hoping to see the classic Asian flavors like matcha, ube, or other fruit ones next time!

Yelp
Finally!!!! I'm so happy that there is finally a location in Chicago with soon other locations as well. I went on a Sunday late afternoon and it was busy but not super packed which was nice. There was a special for the week since they just opened and I got half dozen and 1 donut for free. The flavors are rotated which is nice so you have different options. It will make me come back for more to try out the other flavors. The drinks also seemed tasty! I ended up with coffee latte since I didn't have my coffee fix yet that day. There will be Korean hot dogs added to the menu as well! Can't wait to be back!
google avatar

Kimberlie C.

Yelp
The much anticipated Mochinut has finally arrived at the UIC area in Chicago! These donuts are warm, fresh, light, and chewy. The presentation was cute and the flavors came through. Maybe a tad sweet, but still fun to try! Pricepoint is high, however, with 1 donut @ $3.75 and half a dozen @ $19. But, we'll be back to sample the other flavors. The boba was way too sweet and the boba a bit too hard. Mochinut is not competing with other shops in the area with their boba. We would check to see if the sugar and ice level are adjustable. The packaging is adorable! But, maybe just go for the donuts here. We'll keep an eye out for the corndogs that are ~coming soon~ Pictured: Strawberry, Raspberry Funnel Cake, Matcha Oreo, and Passionfruit mochi donuts, Brown Sugar Boba, and Coffee Boba

Yelp
Clearly everyone in Chicago is excited for Mochinut!!! I went to the soft opening on Tuesday night and it was CRAZYYYYY. It was about an hour wait for our donuts. We ordered, left to grab a quick dinner, returned and our order still wasn't ready. I didn't think it would be THAT NUTS but I understand. These donuts are heaven. I will def Italy be back, as they had to mix up our dozen donuts(read: I didn't want to wait any longer so I said it was ok to just give us what was available). The store is super cute. Lots of fun decor and photos to be had. And a few seating areas. I've been to a few mochinut locations in LA and this one it by far the cutest! Welcome to Chi town!
google avatar

Zeina E.

Yelp
This place is made for cute Instagram pictures. The decor + furniture is so adorable; it really makes the entire place come together. They have various flavors of Mochi donuts and I believe they rotate them every week or so, so make sure to come back for new flavors. They also serve boba tea and coffee. Service was excellent. The ladies behind the counter were very patient with my indecisiveness and even suggested a few flavors to try. I got the 3 pack and the strawberry banana was by far my favorite. It was so creamy and soft and you can literally taste each of the strawberry and banana flavors (a literal explosion of flavors). The tea was good, just a bit on a the sweeter side for me. I understand some boba places let you choose the amount of sugar you can put in your tea, but I think the boba at Mochinut might be pre-made but don't quote on that. Highly recommend!

Yelp
It's national doughnut day! Mochinut is located in the UIC area on Taylor street. There are so many doughnut flavors to choose from. The ones I ordered included: cookies and cream, Thai iced tea, churro, black sesame, passion fruit, and strawberry. While all the flavors were good, my favorite was the strawberry flavor. The texture of the doughnuts aren't like regular doughnuts. They're soft and chewy with a mochi like texture. It's definitely worth the try. The Ube milk tea looked really good. It was free with the purchase of a dozen doughnuts as apart of their promo. If you're ever in the area, would recommend that you to try this place for the doughnuts. Looking forward to visiting this place again to try out the different flavors.

Yelp
Walked past this place after a dinner and just had to give it a try. I'm not sure what flavor I got since I just asked the employee to give me the most popular one. It was so good! The decor is also so cute inside.
google avatar

Windy H.

Yelp
I dont know what I was thinking going on their soft opening... oh wait, my love for mochinut Anyways, since I know there was quite a back up, I asked them to just mixed my order. Hey, I'm not a picky eater Everything is amazing. You won't be disappointed. Will be back here.. soon..

Yelp
Unbeatable Mochi donut texture! There were a lot of fun and interesting flavors available so I got half a dozen to try them all (sans one since there were 7) Passion fruit: good kick of passion fruit! V tropical fruity vibes but def on the sweeter end due to the icing. Choco churro: choco flavor super strong and masked churro flavors. Didn't rlly taste cinnamon. Dark choco: classic dark chocolate. It was very dark? Strawberry funnel cake: omg it tastes literally like a funnel cake but also with Mochi texture. My favorite one by far. Matcha: classic matcha with added crushed Oreos. Raspberry: similar to passion fruit but raspberry flavored. Flavor is all in the icing and base is the same original mochinut. Drinks come in adorable plastic cans! A must try donut place if you like the chewy mochi texture :)
google avatar

Holly S.

Yelp
Right when I walked into the shop, I was put in a good mood. Everything is so cute & colorful! Here's what I tried: *Ube Boba Drink - I didn't know what ube was but decided to try something new and I'm glad I did. It was sweet, interesting, creamy, and overall just yummy! *Cookies n cream donut - delicious *churro - also delicious *Matcha strawberry donut - you guessed it - delicious! & the most unique of the ones I tried Staff was patient and friendly despite my many questions. This would be a cute, casual date or a fun place to try with friends. Even their packaging is super aesthetically pleasing so getting donuts to go and gifting them to someone would be a sweet surprise for them.

Yelp
I'm home sick, but my darling partner was so kind to pick me up some mochi donuts yesterday. He sent me a picture of the flavors of the day and graciously waited in line for AN HOUR to bring me the sweets. He told me of the wait after the fact, I wouldn't want him waiting in a line like that had I known. He said the line was out the door and the staff were making donuts fresh so he understood and didn't mind. When he got them home they were still warm. I first tried the Thai tea flavor- it was subtlety sweet, but didn't have a specific flavor. I love the texture of a fresh Mochi donut. Slightly crisp outside with a light, chewy dough. Their shape is so fun to eat too! Mango had more flavor, but again subtle. The Churro donuts don't have a churro texture, but are just powdered in cinnamon. The cookies and crème had the best flavor. We had 3 left over this morning and unfortunately they don't keep. They become soft and are much less satisfying. I would highly recommend enjoying on the spot. I hope 2D or Gaijin's donuts are better, but I'm glad they're becoming more widespread in Chicago!

Yelp
FINALLY. A location in Chicago and it's right by where I work! This place is everything I ever dreamed of. I came at noon and there was only 3 other people inside so I was happy it wasn't busy. The restaurant is so cute inside and it was very clean and well put together with all the decor. I love how they have all their flavors on the wall with pictures included. I guess they rotate their flavors but I'm not sure how often. Lychee flavor: Yum! I love lychee already so I had to try this donut. Comes with a delicious lychee glaze topped with gummy bears. The lychee flavor is vibrant but not overpowering. This flavor is refreshing and perfect for summertime! Matcha: I'm a matcha fanatic so this one tasted delicious to me already. It's topped with a mini oreo and oreo crumbs. So good! Sesame churro: This one was good but probably my least favorite. It's coated in black sesame and churro sugar. I will be back for sure!

Paul S.

Yelp
I bought a dozen donuts for my family. There was a moment of sticker shock when I paid. But when I tried the first bite I was overwhelmed with the feeling that these donuts were well worth the money. Everyone must try these donuts.

Hellen O.

Yelp
The treats were good but the place could use a serious scrubbing. All that bright, light decor only shows how dirty the place is. And don't get me started on the bathroom.
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
We were really excited to try mochinut and were not disappointed! We got 3 doughnuts (strawberry funnel cake, red velvet, and churro) and a cheddar beef corn dog with potatoes. All of the doughnuts were excellent! A little different than than a traditional doughnut (a bit more chewy) but still tasty and perfectly sweet. We asked for no sugar on our potato corn dog and it was made fresh, crispy and exactly what we were looking for definitely would visit again!

Ilene T.

Yelp
I tried ube, coffee, and almond flavor. They were so good and fluffy like always. The lady at the counter was also very kind.

Daggett N.

Yelp
Received a box as a gift, they are weird and rubbery, not like a regular doughnut. The center hole is large so it would be good for ring toss. Frosting was waxy. I got an assortment, one appeared to be topped with soggy fruity pebbles. I would not buy these.
google avatar

AJ M.

Yelp
This place screams trendy, Instagram worthy. Mochinut is a great addition to the tri taylor area that already has some great things going for it. Infact down the street there is Kong Dog, which also serves Korean corndogs. But this place is better, why because of the doughtnuts! The doughnuts are fluffy, sweet, and light, which makes you want to eat more and more. There's plenty of flavors but to be honest most of them are very similar , and I actually preferred the simpler ones. At $3.75 its a bit pricey for one dougnut, but they are pretty tasty. The corndogs are a better value! Great concept, tasty treats, worth a try once!
google avatar

Paula B.

Yelp
These are the lightest and fluffiest donuts in Chicago! Great flavors from lychee to passion fruit. I wish all donuts tasted this way. Tried the Ube Bubble Tea, holy moly super flavorful and THE best tapioca balls! Cute interior and wonderful service.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Really wanted to like it, but the flavors were lacking. We had the mango, strawberry funnel, and ruby chocolate to share bwtween four people. The texture is chewy like mochi, but can feel a little greasy which is somewhat expected. Overall, it felt really heavy to finish one whole mochinut for one person especially since we wished the topping flavors popped out more.
google avatar

Jim D.

Yelp
I spent just under $20 for a single donut & two bubble teas. That was preposterous imho. The moch donut was ok & one of the these bubble teas was pure sugar. The donut had a very artificial taste to as well. Definitely has the chewy aspect of Mochi though. The bubble teas were very reminiscent of the milk at the bottom of a freak bowl as in pure sugar & possible bliss to anyone who loves sugar. Doubt I'd return
google avatar

Elizabeth T.

Yelp
It's ok. First time in Mochinut on Taylor St. by the UIC campus. Visited at 1pm on a Thursday. Place was empty save for two people and me. + cute & Instagramable interior + average cost like any other mochi donut place in Chicago (6 for $19 plus tax) + variety of flavors We got one of each: orange, pistachio, churro, chocolate churro, strawberry, ube + The pistachio was the best because we could savor the flavor upon biting it. It was followed by ube. - Orange flavor was also present but did not care for the artificial flavor. - Churro, chocolate churro, and strawberry had the weakest flavors. Could barely tell they were those flavors. Overall, the mochi donuts were ok. I prefer the mochi donuts from 2D Restaurant in Lakeview or the Te Amo Cafe in Schaumburg, IL. Worth a try but I am not rarin' to go back.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
Nothing beats fresh mochi donuts. They are so chewy and pretty to look at! My favorites are their lychee and strawberry cream.

Quynh L.

Yelp
Management is terrible with customer service. I ordered a drink with less ice yesterday, went back today for same and was told this time that I couldn't. Employee who helped me was nice but other lady there told her she could not change the ice level. She called manager offsite who said same thing but said they would only make it less ice this one time. RIDICULOUS! I can go to YBubble, Gon Cha, Kung Fu Tea no issues. They even have on their sign in the store that you can order no ice, less ice, ice. How hard is it to put half the amount of ice in a cup. TERRIBLE!
google avatar

Jeni V.

Yelp
These Donuts are so yummy and airy. The location is small but very cute- with quick counter service.
google avatar

Robyn W.

Yelp
We tried all the flavors on the day we went. Prior to going we looked at the menu online and assumed they had all those options... they do not. They didn't even have an original flavor that day. The donuts were chewy the flavors weren't great even the chocolate tasted off. You will def taste the flavors tho. The guava and taro were by far the worst. Churro and strawberry funnel cake being the best
google avatar

Allison T.

Yelp
It's finally here and open! Waited patiently since the opening news on Instagram. I can't believe how good this is and I can't wait for more store opening in WIlmette and Arlington Heights. With bright yellow wall, location was easy to find on Taylor St. Parking can be challenging, but one should expect when coming to this area. I visited Saturday morning of soft opening (grand opening was supposed to be the next day but is delayed). There wasn't a line when I went in, but as soon as I finished ordering, there was a rush and a line was quickly formed. It was a bit crazy since it was soft opening, with workers yelling what is out and needs to be fulfilled. I'm glad I beat the rush of waiting in line. The interior is beautiful with bright decor. Wall art is very "Instagram worthy" and attractive. Current prices are 1 piece: $3.75; $10 for 3 pieces; $19 half dozen; $36 one dozen. I ordered a dozen & half dozen to share. Mochi donut is perfect chewy, perfect sized, and it's so beautiful. I think my order next time will change from today's taste test. Here's what I got, based on what is available this day: -matcha: my typical preference. It definitely tasted like matcha. To my surprise, the after taste is bitter from matcha. I would definitely order again -original: surprised it's topped with fruit pebbles. I hate food colored cereal so this wasn't my fave. -strawberry: nice flavor. Doesn't taste too fake, but is on the sweet side, as one should expect from the pink glaze -passion fruit: I love the smell of it. Smells super sweet and topped with a gummy teddy bear. On the sweeter side as well, but you can also expect from the colored glaze on top. -raspberry funnel cake: wouldn't be my typical order but this was my favorite. Perfect balance of mochi donut and hint of fruit flavor. -almond chocolate: (I didn't get to try due to a nut allergen in the family but -chocolate glaze looked super good!) -churro: felt dry compared to others, probably since it has no topping or glaze on top. It wasn't as strong of cinnamon flavor as I've expected; I'm not a big fan of cinnamon flavor. -chocolate churro: similar to churro except with some chocolate syrup drizzle. I also ordered 3 drinks but didn't like that I couldn't customize sugar level. I would order a variety next time again and hopefully they will have more flavors next time I'm there. See you soon, Mochinut!

Yelp
Let me tell you how excited I was when I found out mochidonut was coming to Chicago. I was very displeased when some of the flavors was a disappointment. I ordered every flavor and some even double. The price is pricy especially for their drinks. The ube was to die for but extremely sad how small it was and mostly filled with ice. My favorite mochidonut flavor was the Nutella with the lotus cookie, bomb asf. I think they change different flavors every week like crumble cookie does. Overall, definitely worth a try. Pricy but delicious.
google avatar

Jisha J.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the texture of these donuts! The matcha flavor wasn't great though. I felt like a couple of the flavors were really lacking. The Nutella one was pretty decent. I really wanted mango but I didn't end up getting the flavors that I ordered and didn't have time to go back to get it corrected. I'll definitely try again later and see if I can get some of the flavors I really want.
google avatar

Tabitha W.

Yelp
Mochi donuts always seem to run a little expensive and we haven't been impressed with them so far, so we decided to just order a Hot Cheetos Mozzarella Korean corn dog. It took 20 minutes to receive our order - my husband had to go up and ask about it after about 15, and he said it seemed like they might have forgotten to get it started. It was delicious though!
google avatar

Diane C.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised- although the selection was limited everyone found a flavor of this unique snack. Two even braved the corn dog and made the rest of us wish we were hungrier! Quick service and creative goodies.
google avatar

Connie K.

Yelp
I came here ~30 minutes after Mochinut opened on a Friday and it was packed! Their flavors seem to rotate (not sure how frequently) but I wish they would post their daily flavors on social media. This is a bit of a drive for me so it would definitely help me decide if I want to make the trip out depending on what flavors are available. Hubby and I got the half dozen which came with one free donut. We shared the mango, strawberry, black sesame, Nutella, and Thai tea (we gave two to my parents). I loved the chewiness of the mochi donuts and although the donuts were sweet they weren't overwhelmingly sweet like some of their competitors. Of the flavors I tried the black sesame mochi donut was my favorite. The Nutella, mango, and strawberry were also good but I couldn't really taste the Thai tea flavor. We will be back to try their other flavors!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Fantastic new dessert spot in Little Italy!! I stopped by the other day and was super impressed by the ambiance and friendly staff. I got a pack of three mochi donuts - the lychee, mango, and banana. I thought each had a very distinct flavor to it. The lychee was probably my favorite! The donuts themselves are pretty sweet with a unique taste, and the texture is super soft. They ended up being $10 for 3 which I thought was a super fair price compared to other mochi donut places in the city. I also got the hot cheeto corn dog with sausage. Be warned that this corn dog is HUGE and would be a great size to share between two people. I ate about half, but thought it was very good with a ton of flavor. I also like how they offer a lot of different sauce options to choose from. Mochinut has a rotating menu of different donut flavors and Im excited to come back!
google avatar

Raeven S.

Yelp
This place is really nice and cool, they have plenty of options for their donuts ! They have multiple flavors for the toppings. You'll see I tried a half dozen and not all but my favorite so far is the pecan. I WISHED I COULD'VE TRIED THEM ALL!!! So my sister and I had a blast trying the potato corn dog with the many sauces they had , the hot Cheetos corn dog with sauces! We never had either and it was the best !!! The manager and servers were very nice .. the place is nice and small for a donut shop, very comfortable ! The BOBBA teas were cool as well I tried two different ones but then started getting full. Just a nice vibe to cool out, vibe and chat!!!! When you go make sure you let them know rae sent you so that way they can show you a special time!

Yelp
I love the mochi donut if eaten the same day or hours when it's made. If not, it's soggy and the chewy factor diminish the next day. They have a variety of flavors, more listed on their website than in store. Regardless it's a great treat for me when I'm in the area!

Yelp
The mochi donuts are definitely 10/10. That is the whole reason why I decided to try this place. They have different flavors every week and they post these updates on their Instagram page. I took my friend to this place and she ate 3 donuts in one sitting. She told me she never tasted a donut that tasted this good before. This place is definitely a favorite of mine now. I will say though, the boba is not that great. The actual boba was not that soft. But I will come back for the donuts. Splendid.

Yelp
[3.5 stars] finally got to try mochinut in my own city! my husband and i shared a melona and a churro. we both liked the melona which also came with a little pink marshmallow. the taste was pretty accurate. i give this a 4 out of 5. for the churro, the flavor was unfortunately pretty bland - wish we didn't get this one. I give this a 3. they only have select flavors which seems to rotate on a weekly basis so definitely check their instagram @mochinut_uic before you go!
