Yelp
This place is a delicious fixable mess. I hope they fix it.
They primarily have three offerings: hot dogs on a stick, mochinut donuts, and boba tea in a can.
I really like the fact that the Boba is fully prepared and does not require a long ordering process. They have six flavors. Pick one, get a can and go. Awesome!
Round two: Mochinuts - $3 per donut! No kidding, $3 per donut. Even with their buy 10, get two free deal, we're still talking about $30 per dozen. Even with inflation, that's insane! Krispy Kreme box of a dozen donuts is $15.
You can get 24 Krispy Kreme donuts or 12 Mochinut. If this store cuts its price sure, they will do fine. If this price remains, they won't be in business in 6 months.
I'll restate this Mochinut wants $30 per dozen donuts. INSANITY!!!!!!!
Now let's move onto the hot dogs on a stick. $7 per, with all sorts of crazy toppings, potatoes, cereal, ramen, etc. I had the original and the potato dog.
They were really good! I enjoyed them. For what they were, the price was reasonable.
BUT, there's a big problem with the dogs. They are a mess. They will get on your clothes or your car. So you would think, no big deal, I'll just sit at a table. No you won't. There are no tables or chairs. There is no place to sit. The store is too small. There are two benches outside, but that's only good for March - October.
The packaging provided with the dogs is just a paper tray. The only way to eat these without making a mess is to take them home or to your office. Unless you don't mind having food crumbs all over your car, you're going to take this to another location. They need some kind of packaging that will contain all the crumbs for when you get to your destination.
I really _hate_ a food store that doesn't provide seating, but the food taste was excellent.
I hope they get reasonable pricing on the donuts and better packaging for the hot dogs.
Last part, on the receipt I was charged a "Support Local Fee". It was small, probably about 3%. The cashier could not explain what it was for and could not remove it from the bill.
It's not a tax, that was charged separately.
With no other explanation, we can only speculate that it's just more profit for the store.
If they need more money, just charge a higher price. But wait, they are already twice as expensive as Krispy Kreme.
This "Support Local Fee" amounts to nothing more than fraud.
I truly hope they fix these problems. I would like to go back. But these three problems will do the store in if they don't address it.
