Doughnuts You Should Know in the Seattle Area

"Mochi doughnut chain Mochinut offers plenty of inventive flavors. Made with rice flour, mochinuts have a chewy texture, setting them apart from traditional cake or yeast-raised doughnuts. The South Lake Union location has plenty of seasonal selections (recently mango puree, sesame balls, and churro with caramel), as well as boba tea and fried Korean rice hot dogs." - Mark Van Streefkerk, Harry Cheadle

Mochinut - Review - South Lake Union - Seattle - The Infatuation

"If you’re a fan of mochi, chances are you’ve heard of Mochinut. This SLU shop located in the lobby of 400 Fairview specializes in chewy fried donut rings made of rice flour (but note that they aren’t gluten-free). With toppings ranging from cinnamon sugar to matcha glaze, they’re not the best donuts in town, but still a decent option should you find yourself in the neighborhood craving a sweet, or feel like being the office hero by grabbing a dozen." - Aimee Rizzo

Google
We went here and only ordered donuts, so I can’t speak to the Boba tea for the corn dogs. The donuts were amazing! We ordered the mango, chocolate and Matcha and they are great. They almost have a chewy consistency which we really liked and the flavors were savory. The place was nice and clean and had a Korean vibe. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful. We will totally go back for more donuts.

I love this location. Street parking could be difficult but it hasn’t been a problem any of the times we’ve been here. There are lots of places to sit and I’ve never had to deal with a line here. We didn’t interact much with staff as there was a large ordering kiosk. We placed our order, paid and left with a ticket. I received a text when it was ready. Loooove the donuts every time. The drinks didn’t quit hit the mark this visit but the mochi dog made up for it. This was my first mochi dog experience and it was amazing. Had the half and half, so half cheese and half dog. The cheese was melty and chewy and paired so well with the also chewy mochi coating. I asked for siracha mayo and it was perfect.

Google
The drinks there I love all of them especially their boba they have a pretty good variety to choose from. The mochi donuts though I didn’t personally like them they were a bit too greasy and made my stomach hurt. Overall I love to go there to get a quick drink in the day I would recommend trying.

Google
No line whatsoever. Workers were casually talking to each other and paid me no mind until they noticed I was at the register. Ended up getting a greasy, stale hot Cheetos- dusted, burnt Korean corn dog. This was not freshly cooked. Totally gross. Do better Mochinut SLU!

Google
Got a couple very different things from this place. One of them was a strawberry shortcake mochi donut and the other was a mozzarella Korean ricedog Starting with the mochi donut - it wasn't bad, but not my favorite either. I get the concept of this fusion creation, but it doesn't feel fully necessary in my opinion. The doughnut wasn't really fluffy or moist - and it didn't have much of a chew to it. The strawberry flavor was also mild as well On the contrary, I did find the cheese dog to be a lot better. While it's easy to make something taste good that's essentially fried cheese, I thought the batter on the outside was deep, oily, and relatively crunchy as well. It did a good job sticking to the cheese even after it was pulled apart. The cheese on the inside ended up being melted really well also Both of these were relatively inexpensive. The rice dog is actually so large and so filling that it can become an impromptu (albeit incredibly unhealthy dinner) Overall, I don't think I would come here again for the mochi donuts, but the rice dog was actually pretty solid. 7/10

Google
Super cute and delicious mochi donuts! The set of 3 box is a subset of the set 6 box. All the flavors are great (I like the ube one the best). The ube milk tea is also creamy and tasty, but a little pricey compared to other places (wish it came in a larger portion). I’d like to try their corn dogs one day.

Google
Ordered cherry, matcha and red velvet donuts. They were really good. Glaze was a little sweet though. Donuts had different shape and they were soft. Liked red velvet one the best. Also, ordered tiramisu cocoa. Really liked it. Not too sweet and they served it with toasted marshmallows.

Google
This Mochinut is located within a larger building. The menu was easy to look through and they have an option to order through a person or on the screen. You can see donuts being freshly made. I loved the donut and the rice dog that we got, but our service and wait time was horrific. We ordered three donuts and one rice-dog. The messed up the first rice-dog and had to remake ours which is fine. But they were very focused on DoorDash orders and many many people behind us got served before we ever did. We ended up waiting a half an hour just for a snack. They did not apologize for the wait or even inform us, we had to inquire, politely may I add, to get any information. At least the building had cool art to look at.

Yelp
So many different options at this place. I just went in for something sweet. I chose the churro mochi donut, and it was blown away. It was chewy as I would expect any mochi to be and just the right amount of sweetness. The service was quick, There were two touchscreen where you could order.

Yelp
love the kiosk check out. quick and fast service. its inside a small market so lots of seating and other things to eat donuts are pretty good but i prefer deliahs bakery for mochi donuts. mochinut is a little dense and not all flavors are good (ie. churro and funnel cake is bland). loved the viet coffee, ube and blueberry cheesecake one the most!

Yelp
The rice corn dogs here are delicious! I like how I can choose different toppings and a sauce. Definitely a lil oily but worth it to try. Service was great. I gave it a 4/5 because the tables and sitting area is always very dirty and it is unpleasant to sit and eat there so I always take it to go.

Yelp
Mochinut is an adorable shop with amazing service. The atmosphere is relaxing and super cute. The doughnuts are super soft and have amazing flavor that's well balanced. They always have something new to try. Would also highly recommend their boba that comes in very cute cans.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now, and I think it's a nice spot. They have different mochi donut flavors every week, and I like trying new different ones. Some flavors are really good, while others are a bit too sweet for me. The mochi-like texture if great- light, chewy, and fluffy. I've also tried their tiger sugar fresh milk w/ boba drink and the mozzarella hot dog. They have a good variety of drinks and dessert. Ordering is easy since you just use the kiosk, and the wait time is pretty quick. Overall, it's a nice spot for a mochi donut or a quick treat!
google avatar

Brianna J.

Yelp
I got the tiger milk with light sugar and it could have been plain milk closing my eyes. The strawberry shortcake smoothie was the bomb tho! 10/10

Yelp
For me the donuts are a little too sweet (probably due to the various toppings), and it's the mozarella hot dog that keeps bringing me back. Consistently well cooked and with a generous amount of cheesy goodness, their mozz hot dog is an unusual but delightful treat. Once I had it with their sugar, I was done for (in the best of ways). Throw in the milk tea to balance it out, and it's a nice occassional treat. Even getting it to go or delivered, the mozz hot dog is still very warm and ready to eat. Just be mindful when taking it out of the bag as sugar (if you added it) will escape like a glitter bomb. I also appreciate their drink packaging, as someone who has terrible luck with piercing the boba tops.

Yelp
I decided to check out the Fairview market on a weekend and it seems like it's more of a weekday lunch spot for people who work in SLU because most places were closed. But Mochinut was open so I gave it a try! Ordering is self-service at a kiosk and the employees were all super nice and got the food out quickly. I got a crunchy ramen mozzarella dog and the sea salt caramel Biscoff mochi donut. The crunchy ramen mozzarella was really tasty. I tried it with ketchup, mustard, the recommended sugar coating, and added a side of mango habanero sauce. The cheese was so melty and delicious and the flavors were all really good together. I was skeptical about the sugar coating but it was really good! Maybe next time I'll try without to compare. I was so tempted to get the sample box so I could try a little bit of everything but it's a lot of food and only one me, so I think I made the right call. I'll have to go back to try the hot Cheetos one though! The mochi donut was more chewy than I was expecting and didn't melt in your mouth the way some other mochi donuts I've had did. It was also larger than I was expecting. I really liked the Biscoff cookie! There was not a lot of seating directly in the Mochinut space but there were several tables and couches in the market hall to sit at. It was a bit dark in there but I do wonder if that was just because it was a weekend and many of the vendors were closed. I think I'd come back and give this place another shot on a weekday.

Yelp
They're so good. I can't even say anything else. I have a really bad problem with textures of extremely chewy ANYTHING. But this was yummy. I think frying the mochi was brilliant with the original Korean dog. I had never had mochi nor the mozzarella dog, so I was nervous. The real issue was the location of the shop. No place to park of course! It was an awkward corner spot with overhead construction going on. So protect the goods upon exiting! The inside-- it was connected to some bigger space within the building(a shopping center of sorts) the smells were delicious and sweet upon entry. The wait was not long at all it was ready within the time frame they promised. I ordered the original with the sprinkle of sugar and the Taki one and the flaming hot Cheeto one. I also got a crème brûlée matcha. And a Passion Mango Lemonade with Lychee Jelly. The original and the drinks were out of this world. I really enjoyed them. I still had a texture issue when it came to the Taki and Cheeto dogs. Mochi won this round once it got to a lukewarm temperature and Mochi-like in consistency again.... I didn't want it. But don't let that discourage you! I'd eat an Original Koren Dog in fried mochi any day. You might say it's an unexpected treat! Thanks Mochinut!

Yelp
I love mochinut! One of my favorite desserts because I just love the texture of the chewy, glutinous donut. I really like their fruitier flavors as it balances out the sweetness really well.

Yelp
I visited mochinut on a Saturday around 4:30pm and it wasn't too busy. The inside is small but super cute and clean! I ordered on the machine and decided to get a box of six (~$22): ube pebbles, wild berry cheesecake, churro caramel, brûlée de leche, and a yuzu one! My favorites were definitely the cheesecake and brûlée. The other ones mostly just tasted sweet! I also think the ube could've been paired with something that matches the flavor better. I would definitely come back! I lovee the chewy texture of these donuts and they're easy to share with friends! I also like how there are new flavors weekly and their instagram is good about releasing the lineup for each of their locations. I'm already craving them again!!

Yelp
if you have been looking for a disappointing experience in Seattle, look no further than MOCHINUT. My family and I were in search of dessert in the dessert desert that is south lake union, and we were excited to find this interesting looking place on the map serving mochi donuts and boba. We ordered 4 boba drinks and to our dismay, we were informed that they had ran out of boba and only two of the drinks could contain boba. WHAT KIND OF BOBA PLACE RUNS OUT OF BOBA. At least we have the donuts, right? WRONG. Every single one of the donuts was cold and doughy and tasted like oil. You might as well have been eating a wet packing peanut with frosting on it. You're probably better off getting a protein shake from one of the bazillion gyms here as your dessert than at this joke of an establishment.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try a Mochinut because they seem so satisfying and just got to be able to try one here. I had the raspberry funnel cake which was super tasty though I found it to be lacking in raspberry flavor (what I signed up for). The service was quick and there were kind employees and some good places to sit. I'll have to try another flavor but despite the lack of raspberry I would eat this donut again.

Yelp
I really enjoyed taking my order on the Kiosk! X2 The crew was kind and helpful 12 dozen Mochinuts: Cheesecake x2, Coffee x2, Plain x2, Stwb x2, Lemon x2, Churro x2 All fantastic choices including they also offer crispy hotdog The box was appealing and bright I would recommend this lovely Korean-Donut Mochi

Gary W.

Yelp
Great Korean mochi "corn dogs" and yummy crème brûlée coffee. can be very busy or dead depending on time of day.

Yelp
Good price for the hot dogs, mochinut, and boba! Taste was amazing. Perfect mall food. The service was impeccable- sweetest cashier ever. Ambiance was fun. There's some places to sit and take pics!! NOM NOM NOM!!!!

Yelp
Love Mochinut Seattle! They have really delicious mochi donut flavors, amazing corndogs, and their drinks are refreshing! This little spot is so cute! They have adorable merch like cards, tote bags, and stickers! LOVE it all! I came here with my husband and pup. I appreciate they have a table with outdoor seating so that my pup could come along. We got their sea salt brownie mochinut, two original half cheese and half dog corndog with sugar, mustard and ketchup and their ube fresh milk boba - less sweet. All very tasty and the service was friendly. They were really nice when I asked for some water for my pup.

Yelp
Wow! I forgot how deliciousy these things! It's so fried and it's so sweet. Plus they ve got a bunch of cute stationery from local artists for sale!

Yelp
A cute little shop in a modern building with small cute decors. I feel like entering a little girl's world and I love it. Since we had lots of chowders and seafood rolls in the morning, passion mango hits the spot, refreshing, mildly sweet and tangy at the same time. It is different version of passion fruit green tea with a twist. The mochi donuts surprised me. They are spongily chewy and soft. The glazes are not overly sweet. A must try after Pike Market place. A solid 4 all around. Ambiance: 4 Service: self-served but very nice staff Food quality: 4
google avatar

Anjela L.

Yelp
Delicious donuts, the dough is so soft and the flavors are amazing. It's one of those donuts where you don't need a lot for it to be good, even the simple glaze is amazing. The inside is super cute, there's no seating inside the actual shop but outside of it there is.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Customer service is terrible. The workers don't really look at you nor are they friendly. Food was made to order and since we went early the donuts just got out of the fryer. I didn't care for my ube latte and the fresh strawberry cooler was still pretty bland. The Korean corn dogs were great and I love the location and ambiance of the restaurant. For 2 boba teas, 3 Korean corn dogs, 1 iced ube haze cream latte, a strawberry fizzy drink, and a half dozen donut plus tax and til was $76. Half a dozen donuts is $17 dollars and some change. We love Korean corn dogs with sugar so that was delicious. We got a fruity pebble donut, original glaze, and churro donuts. The only one I enjoyed was the churro. It wasn't extremely sweet. Honestly I could live without mochinut.
google avatar

Chanel T.

Yelp
Yummy and interesting desserts. Nice little treat that was sweet and savory. The pumpkin cheesecake kochi it was my favorite! Service was helpful and appreciated. Cute little donut shop!

Yelp
Great! I had not been to a mochinut before, and I must say that it went great! The donuts were delicious, and the options they had were great. I was only going in for 6, so I couldn't try them all, but I will deff be back at some point to try whatever flavors they have in rotation! I think it's cool that they have rotating flavors based on the location of the mochinut! The service was quick (we went at a random time so there was no line, which was great!) and the vibe was very trendy. The location was in the bottom of an apt complex I think (maybe a condo?) I think I'd be there all the time if I lived above it haha overall I'd recommend, and especially recommend if you like mochi donuts! I didn't get a chance to try their other offerings, but what I did try was great!
google avatar

Stefanie C.

Yelp
Not sure how to rate my Mochinut experience. The quality of food and drink was VASTLY different from the customer service. Let's say 4 stars to give them the benefit of a doubt. I showed up in the middle of a weekday, and the staff seemed miserable. Perhaps they were having a bad day or suffering from a recent tragedy? It felt heavy, which was especially weird because I witnessed all this after ordering from a kiosk. Minimal human interaction. In terms of the actual mochi donuts, I ordered Cookies and Cream, Matcha Pocky, and Pistachio Cheesecake. All of them were sooo pretty and delicious, paired perfectly with the Tiger Milk Boba I got. Décor was adorable, and minus the somber vibes, I would have loved to enjoy the indoor or outdoor seating options and try other flavors. Maybe next time, and I hope everyone (and the working conditions) are okay!
google avatar

Yelp
Been here a few times and this location is my favorite for mochi doughnuts due to its texture -- soft and chewy and not dry at all. It's even better than the ones I got in Taiwan. The flavors rotate and is more basic than dochi but dochi tastes too dry for my taste. Doughnuts: 5/5 The Korean hot dog is a recent addition. Got the half and half mozzarella/hot dog with hot Cheetos, which is 100x better than the traditional corn dog. You get 1 free sauce with $1 charge for additional. The batter is a little plain but the sauce makes up for it. It takes about 5 min for them to prepare. Hot dog: 4/5 Can't say how the bubble tea tastes now but I've ordered it once last year and wasn't a fan due to its diluted flavor. Other: you now self order via kiosk at the counter.
google avatar

Sunnica L.

Yelp
Came back to try their other flavors-- churro, nutella w/ almonds, strawberry, crème brûlée, cookies n' cream, and red velvet. Nutella w/ almonds, cookies n' cream, and churro were my favs. The crème brûlée was meh and the least appealing to me (topping reminded me of Costco cheese pizza). I love how they rotate flavors frequently, but how I do miss their raspberry + green tea donut T^T Went in on a Wednesday afternoon around 3:30PM and ordered through the self-serve kiosk. Place was fairly slow, only waited ~8mins for my order. Plenty of space to stand and sit outside of the shop.

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the name - donuts aren't the only thing they excel at!! I came by with a friend after seeing that they also offer Korean style corn dogs. Their donuts are already incredible, so i simply had to try these as well. I decided to get the flamin' Cheetos dog with honey mustard. I was blown away by how delicious it actually was! The dog was tender and not greasy, while the Cheetos definitely packed some heat. I was also shocked by how filling it was - despite only having one, I was completely full and couldn't imagine ordering more. At the reasonable price, it might be one of the cheapest dinners I have ever had here in Seattle. I absolutely love this place and can't wait to be back!

Sarah S.

Yelp
The drinks are sickeningly sweet, no real tea flavor and mostly tastes like syrup. Comes in a small cup for over $7. Maybe the donuts are better but the drink was shockingly bad.
google avatar

Yelp
It was our first time going and it was pretty good. There's street parking available, some space inside to sit, and some standing room in the store. We got the 6 pack of donuts and the sweet potato hot dog. We really enjoyed the texture of the donuts and most of the flavors were great. They were pretty good, but I was slightly disappointed in some of the flavors because they were a bit bland and under flavored. I recommend the Vietnamese coffee, the strawberry lemonade, and cookies 'n cream. For a pack of 6, it was about $17, which hurts a bit but once in awhile, it's a good treat. These donuts are chewy, airy, and overall pretty good. The hot dog we got was also pretty good. The batter didn't taste like it was seasoned, cbut you get 1 dip, we got spicy mayo, and an optional dusting of sugar. We chose the sugar because we think it makes a difference and tastes better. The sweet potato casing was a bit overdone, just a bit hard to bite into and very crunchy. Overall, it was pretty good but hard to eat. We enjoyed it all for the most part, but slightly disappointed in some of the flavors. I would recommend if you're craving mochi donuts, Korean hotdogs, or looking for a good snack. A good place for families, kids, a casual date, a quick snack, and a fun experience.

Yelp
Mochinut is a great place to get a donut and boba (they have more, but I did not try). To order, you go up to a touch machine. You enter a number and then you will get text when you are ready (and they will also call off your number. The shop is not large, but there is a nice, wide area outside to sit and eat. The donuts are definitely unique, but delicious. They definitely have that sense of eating mochi, but also a very satisfying donut. They come in six flavors which I assume route. I just had the vanilla--which was great. I also had the matcha boba. This was also definitely different. The top of the drink has a lid on it, like a soda. I thought at first that maybe it was canned, but there was definitely ice in the drink. The drink was really good also, not too sweet with a decent amount of boba. Like some reviews mentioned, it is a little pricy, particularly for the portion sizes, but the quality is very high. I will be back.

Yelp
Addicting. Downright addicting to the point that I question myself for penning this review and encouraging you to develop said addiction. Anyway, had been dying and I mean dying to try mochi doughnuts. Seemed everyone and their mother had tried them but me... well, if Yelp is anything to go by. Haha. Seeing as I knew I would be visiting Seattle and that it's a haven for Asian delights, I bookmarked a few places, waiting for the day I would finally try these morsels of heaven. I was between this place and another chain. Ultimately this one won out because they had longer hours and I was afraid I'd end up with stale doughnuts. Not the case here. Passed by and bought a half dozen. Each flavor was different. Flavors were s'mores, crème brûlée, churro caramel, mango, matcha pocky, and ube pebble. Each and every flavor was smooth, gooey, and oh so yummy. Well, minus the matcha pocky. I hated it. It tasted artificial to me, but eh, my best friend ate it happily, so take that as you will. There really is a flavor here for everyone. My favorite was the s'mores one and looks like luck was on my side as I had two. The store has a Yelp offer, so check in and get a free donut. Mine was obviously the s'mores one. Anyhow, they have a rewards program and I signed up, hoping one day to make use of it when I travel. Because seriously, once again, these donuts are addicting. My best friend ate his half in one day and I ate mine in two days (a miracle for me as I'm accused of eating like a rabbit).

Yelp
Been craving some mochi donuts, so stopped in from a quick bite. The storefront is quite small, but they have plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Went in on a Sunday afternoon, and there was no line. You order on a touchscreen and wait for your order, no human interaction necessary. Got the 3x set to try a few different flavors. Black Sesame: This flavor was probably my favorite of the bunch. It was not too sweet, and the hint of black sesame flavor was subtle enough to make it all work. Pistachio Cheesecake: This one was also quite yummy. Most of the flavor came from the cream cheese in the frosting, didn't really taste any pistachio. But I do like cheesecake-flavored products so this was fine. Blueberry: Sadly, I liked this flavor the meat or of the bunch. The frosting was a bit too sweet, and the flavor was quite basic. For these flavors of mochi donuts I tried, the base was just an original mochi donut, and the main flavor came from the frosting on top. Unfortunately, I missed the fresh batch, so the ones I got were already room temperature, which made it just feel quite ordinary, nothing special. I'll try to come earlier next time and maybe I'll feel different about fresh-out-the-oven, warm mochi donuts.

Yelp
Every time I'm in Seattle I try a new boba place. Mochi donuts + boba... yes, please! I love the vibe of this place. Super modern and IG worthy without being tacky. I went when they opened on Sunday. They had a selection of 6 donuts. I went with the 3 pack: plain icing, churro and funnel. Churro was my favorite! We also got the tiger boba and peach açaí with lychee jellies. The peach drink was amazing. So refreshing and you could taste all of the flavors. I couldn't leave without getting the mozzarella corn dog. OMG was it good. The cheese was ooey gooey. The menu recommended sugar on the outside coating, I think it was a little too much. I also ordered the sweet chili dipping sauce - YUM! I'd definitely come back to Mochinut.

Yelp
I've always been curious how this place stacked up against Dochi and finally got a chance to try it. The flavor combos are unique and sound just a bit more appealing, but some of them are just too overly sweet. Dochi still beats them out on texture/density, taste, presentation, and longevity (how good they still taste later in the day). Mochinut is lighter, but still maintains the chewy texture at least. I like how unique the drinks are in their clear cans. Get the Dirty Coffee, because you can't go wrong with cold brew, creama, mild tea and boba. I'd come back just for that drink alone. Don't forget to check-in on Yelp for a free one after half dozen purchase.

Yelp
Okay! Where has this place been all my life? I usually drive by but today I happened to be walking by and caught a whiff of the goodness and stopped to try it out. I'm hooked. Hotdogs, donuts, and all goodness between.

Yelp
NOM NOM NOM. Stumbled across this little place and a donut seemed too good to pass up.. especially after a workout! I got the pistachio cheesecake! The donut was very l Chewy! I liked the fact that they aren't too sweet. They hit the spot it needs too! I can see how they can be addicting, pretty sure if I got a box it would be gone asap. As for their boba, I was actually really impressed by how good it was. It seemed like they used a type of flavor cream and added milk and it really did taste like Ube. The boba was fresh and had good flavor. Wasn't too sweet or too bland! They ask your level of sweetness. Loved it all!
google avatar

Paris F.

Yelp
I have had mochinut and it is definitely addictive. But this time, I wanted to try the Korean corn dogs and I had the original kind with mozzarella cheese. It was delicious, mochi mochi, and non greasy corn dog. I also ordered the ramen coated corn dog and it was excellent. I just question the customer service. There was one girl who was organizing the donuts in display who was helpful and answered all the questions. I think the service could improve for sure.
google avatar

Lily K.

Yelp
Delivery so not sure about parking or bathrooms. It's downtown so it's most likely street parking. So the doughnuts are delicious! But everywhere I saw that it was gluten free friendly. But you can't chose your doughnuts on Uber eats-they chose the pick of the day. One of them had oreo on it. I didn't eat that one because I wasn't sure if it was GF or not. The other two were delightful though! A little chewy like you'd expect from a mochi donut. And the bubble nature makes it easy to share and eat! You can just pull off each piece! So the four is only because I am unsure of the GF of it all. But it was super tasty! Just wish I could have chosen or asked. If you order online I suppose specify if you have allergies!

Yelp
I needed food while walking back to my apartment, and I'm so glad I live close to this mochinut! This location is very airy and feels spacious despite not being huge. I walked in, and was able to quickly order on the screen. My donut was ready almost immediately, while the corn dogs took slightly longer to get ready, but everything tasted great! The potato dog was easily my favorite, but the flaming Cheeto dog tasted quite good! I also loved that they give a free dipping sauce with each dog, and I got honey mustard and garlic Parmesan. And the churro donut was delicious with a great mochi texture. It's going to be a problem that I love so close, but I can't wait to try other things here!

Yelp
I started a new job in South Lake Union in August and several weeks later, I discovered Mochinut! I now count it as one of the top benefits of working in SLU. Their mochi donuts are light, delicious, and not greasy at all. I've never had anything like them. They have a chewiness that is delightful too with just enough give and bounce--it's hard to describe. My boss and I have treated each other to them when we need a treat or celebratory occasion. We love the classic churro flavor--just cinnamon sugar with a little drizzle of caramel. I don't even need the caramel. If you like donuts and you like mochi, you have to try Mochinut. You won't regret it.

Yelp
I love mochi and donut....therefore Mochinut!!! I came here once a while but each time I'd pack a dozen mochinut and finish them in a day. They come up with new flavors on regular basis which is very exciting. I never needed to wait in line and can get my mochinut very quickly. They are light and chewy, very different from the traditional "caky" donut, a bit similar to Mister Donut.

Yelp
I've tried Mochinut three or maybe four times now and I stand with my previous review. The doughnuts are okay, and the bubble tea is way below average. I tried the matcha tea this time and it was also just super milky with very very little matcha flavor. I'd probably be downgrading my rating to, two stars but their packaging is adorable and they have something new on the menu that did catch my attention--the Korean rice hotdogs! I've been wanting to try these since I first saw them pop up in the international district but haven't made my way over there. I got the most basic one 1/2 dog 1/2 cheese sprinkled with sugar cuz that's what they recommend and I like to try things that sound super different to what my westernized tastebuds are used to. I was not disappointed. The crunch factor was ON POINT! dipping in honey mustard was delicious! The sugar was oddly good. I def recommend.

Yelp
I love me some Mochinut! I was lucky to receive a dozen for my birthday, and I made a stop by during a random night in SLU. I wish they had locations on the Eastside, although I am hearing some buzz about an Eastside location in the works! What I love about Mochinut is their variety of flavors! I've had flavors including, mango, melona, pistachio, tiramisu, and Vietnamese coffee just to name a few. Their flavors rotate every week, so I highly suggest checking their IG for their most up-to-date offerings. In my experience, my mochi donuts were still good after a couple of days, (in case you're trying to practice self-control and not eat a dozen mochi donuts in one sitting). During my last visit, I drove around and found street parking. One thing to note is that the Mochinut storefront is not the most obvious to spot from the street. You'll have to look around to find their logo, which is up some stairs, right next to Kai Market. If you're craving some mochi donuts, or have never tried them, go pay Mochinut a visit! Your sweet tooth will thank you.

Yelp
Stopped by after dinner and enjoyed a churro donut. Made with rice flour so it's not as dense or overly sweet lurks typical donut. $3.50 for a donut which is pretty average pricing for the area however most donuts are more filling than this. Donuts were made fresh and the service was great. Located within a building so parking will be for the deck.

Yelp
Super cute shop! They have mochi donuts and Korean corn dogs (which I didn't try the corn dogs unfortunately!). They also have a variety of drinks! I got the matcha w/ strawberries and it was sooo good. The donuts were definitely tasty and soft. They appeared fresh! I was a little bummed they didn't have a chocolate one at this time that I came but the flavors we did try were good. (Rotating flavors) My favorites were the orange, raspberry and the Vietnamese coffee. We also got churro, original glazed and sugar coated, they were good but just not as fun in flavor! Definitely recommend checking this place out if you are a fan of mochi

Yelp
Always SO good! Great for binging as dessert to potlucks! The rotating flavors keep it fun. Best when fresh, they can get stale quickly!

Yelp
My coworker and I came here for dessert as it was close to work. I heard that they had bubble tea now so we were excited to try. Each of us got a drink: ube, matcha and Thai iced tea. They were out of boba so we opted for crystal boba instead. You can adjust your sweetness as well as your ice level. I got mine with 25% sweetness and no ice. I was surprised at how much I like the drink. It was creamy and have some ube flavor. My coworkers also like their drink as well. The container is super cute and portable. We also got a donut to try. I got the creme brulee and unfortunately it didn't taste good. The texture is fine but the creme brulee was a miss. There was no burned sugar and the flavor was so off putting. Overall I will come back for bubble tea, I might try a different flavor donut to see how it is but we will see. Price is reasonable as well. It does take a little bit of time for the drinks though

Yelp
Fun spot to grab something sweet! The donuts always have unique flavors and the mochi texture is always great. They also save well for the next day! To drink, I absolutely recommend the strawberry milk with oat milk! Pricing is on the high end but the drinks and donuts feel worth the splurge. For the overall vibe, they definitely have that figured out with cute branding and a photo-worthy wall. Those were all my "pros". My "cons" at Mochinut are the hours which start late in the day, so it's not usually open for morning donuts when I'd like to stop by. I tried the flaming hot cheeto cheese dog and while I liked the flavor, I found the exterior to be too soft to hold the construction of the shell long enough for more than a bite. The overall eating experience was so messy, it felt like a puddle of melted cheese within 2 bites. The plain iced donut is also very strange, where the icing has a salty base rather than sweet? Not my cup of tea. Overall it's a 3.3 or 3.4 for me.
