Food was fine. Service was fine. It is a nice cosy place. I had higher expectations of the food quality and service from what I had heard about the place, but if you are looking for fine at a bit higher cost than what you might be expecting, it would do.

Google
Small place but the food was awesome! I had the meatloaf with chorizo! Amazing. Desert was great.

From the moment we walked in and sat down, to our waitress (Brandy), whom by the way was SUPERB, she knew everything about the menu, details about the ingredients on the menu, she was simply fantastic. When you have someone waiting on you that is knowledgeable and is passionate about the choices you have from the menu, that makes a dining experience much more enjoyable!!! The food was a chefs kiss from our "snack" (Fried green tomatoes), to the Entree-fish and grits with tomato gravy (speechless!), to the dessert- (Nectarine, bourbon, maple ice cream and mockingbird pecan pie!) The drinks (Lemon drop lavender) and the wine were spot on as well. It was our first time here and it most definitely will NOT be the last!!!

Google
Staff was amazing! Food was not quite what we expected. Meatloaf on the menu seemed like it would have had more flavor, and not enough duck on my eggs Benedict. The smoked duck that was on there was amazing. I will say again that the staff was outstanding and made the experience great.

Google
A unique experience with a slightly different twist on food. We went for Sunday Brunch, eggs Benedict was awesome, real cooking. Returned for lunch and the meatloaf was fantastic. Everything fresh.

We had a fantastic dinner on the patio & got to see an amazing sunset! The staff was so sweet & accommodating. The food was definitely wonderful done with a unique twist on some dishes. Meals are around $20+- (not including drink) & have beautiful presentation & great portions. The Shrimp cakes are a must have. Oh and the Mockingbird pie too good for words!!!

Google
Food was great, my mixed drink was perfect and the employees were very polite. I highly recommend. I would say the inside needs some type of ‘special touch’ of something, just not sure what. Perhaps a huge ficus plant or flowers on the table. Which can get expensive. Something. I also like the fact that they had real eating utensils and not that cheap stuff. Temperature was good and the fixtures weren’t all worn out. So yeah, I’d eat here again. :)

We decided to take a drive to Fayetteville and ended up at mockingbird kitchen. At first the service was a little slow (wasn’t very busy) service improved after we got our drinks at least! We had the soup of the day it was okay kind of plain tasting. The small salad was delicious with the dressing (vinaigrette). Margarita was good both the regular and the apple butter margarita (extra shot of tequila not included with the apple butter) the food! Boy was is amazing! The chicken and mashed potatoes was awesome! The turkey melt sandwich was so tasty! I loved it. The fries that came with it ❤️ perfect crisp to them with their homemade ketchup was delicious. And both were good portion sizes! Can’t wait to go back and try some more items!

Yelp
WOW! In town and got Shrimp Cakes, Loaded Yukon Potatoes, and Ropa Vieja to go. My husband and I shared it all with a little left over. SO GOOD! Next time I'm in town, I want to dine in! YUMMY!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went after a workout and really enjoyed it!! Notes on the experience based on what we ordered: Irish Coffee was fire - 9/10 Benedict was solid and great for biscuit lovers, a little thickkk for this girl but fire - might be better to get the sauce on the side to keep it crispier - 7/10 The sweet potato fires were very crisp and flavorful 8.5/10 Chicken and waffles was crispy with a nice balance of sweet and savory Chris notes - gravy made the waffles soggy a little too quickly, maybe better to get on the side next time - 8/10 Home potatoes - like the chip shape and very flavorful but a little hard - 7.5/10 Staff - extremely friendly and welcoming - 9.5/10 Vibe - casual and rustic, felt very much like a country kitchen which was nice for a chill Saturday. More outdoor seating on such a nice day would have been great for the experience - 7/10 Overall 8/10, was a great place with awesome food and very nice post workout BRONCH date!!

Yelp
The service was quick and friendly. The macaroni and cheese was some of the best I've ever had. It's a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. If you have a choice between grilled or fried chicken, get the fried. You won't regret it.

Steven B.

Yelp
Absolutely the best meatloaf around, great service just have to walk up and get your adult drink when sitting outside. Nice outdoor area.

Wendy B.

Yelp
Great foccacia sandwiches for lunch. The veggie burger is excellent. First time came for lunch and will be back!

Matthew W.

Yelp
Brought my wife and kids for Sunday lunch. They have a yummy kids brunch menu - fries and waffles were happily consumed. The adult menu has a variety of comfort food favorites, each with its own twist. The meatloaf is fantastic! Be prepared for a pleasant surprise. Very friendly and fast service.

Traci H.

Yelp
Great local brunch location with fantastic service and quality! Support your local businesses.

Maylon R.

Yelp
At a "Sip and Snack" fundraiser party out at Cane Hill on Saturday evening - the snacks - cheese and savory meat entrees as well as some of the best, freshest fruit complimented the "sipping" offerings of wine an some adult punch combinations. As a very special bonus to the catered menu were two types of fried pies - both featuring antique recipes of apples - one combining goat cheese and apples - the other with apples and a sweet maple flavor. The presentation - complete with picnic fare - was simply outstanding and delicious. The crowd of 50 so enjoyed the Mockingbird Kitchen's offerings.

Cynthia G.

Yelp
We were on vacation and had dinner here. It was a delicious meal! The staff and owner were delightful. Owner came out to chat with customers. Very nice!

Dorothy M.

Yelp
The food was delicious! Three friends and I ate at the Mockingbird Kitchen for the first time. We enjoyed the food, and the service was terrific.

John R.

Yelp
Review is just for food. We got the Ropa Vieja, the Chorizo Meatloaf, and a Chicken Sandwich. All three were underwhelmig, to say the least. The Ropa Vieja was a greasy soup with a few chunks of cheap meat, $20. The Chorizo meatloaf was under seasoned, mushy, and tasted of nothing with an oddly sweet cinnamon taste. The mushroom gravy bland and raw floury. The chicken sandwich was dry and meh. Won't be back.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
The food is bland. Specifically the sweet potato smash, crab cakes and vinaigrette. When asked how the food was, I said " ok" with so-so body language and the host didn't seem to care. The wait staff is kind. The service is slow. We will not return.

Allison G.

Yelp
I was in town for a conference at the University and this was one of the few restaurants that could accommodate walk in diners at 6pm on a Saturday. The food was really great - flavors really well balanced and great options for vegetarian as well as meat eaters. The duck was cooked to perfection, and my only complaint was that the portion of sweet potatoes was huge while the kale was tiny. They were happy to bring me another small portion of the kale. My friend got the farro and greens dish and said it was healthy, hearty, and satisfying.

Blaise S.

Yelp
The meatloaf is amazing! My family and I went there for lunch. Service was great. Salads were fresh and tasty.

Kim L.

Yelp
My absolute favorite place to eat at anytime! The ambiance, the FOOD and the service is unmatched! This is a must if you're in the area! I'm not foodie but this is one I can for sure say makes the top of the list

David P.

Yelp
Made reservations for brunch on Sunday. Quite a menu choice to be made as all sounded very appealing! Arrived and seated immediately Ordered the Irish coffee to start and the French toast brioche with one side- I chose bacon. All in all it was a very nice presentation, the food was good and service was punctual. Everything you could ask for when eating out.

Dwayne J.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town because of work. Came here and I believe the owner is who sat me, was an absolute delight. She was very personable and very engaging. I was then approached by my server Emma, who was beyond sweet and helpful. I ordered the Shrimp Cake Benedict but with scrambled eggs... I know, I know, but hey, not a huge poached egg fan. I had the kale Caesar as a side along with the creamy grits. Everything was divine!!! Oh, I fail to mention the three juice mimosa I had. What a wonderful balance between the juices and champagne. They have some outdoor seating as well, which I observed as I was leaving out. It's very cute and quaint inside. This is a must try for anyone visiting their kids in college, here on business, or a local! You will enjoy the food and the service!

Michael P.

Yelp
Amazing French toast and veggie burger! We found this little gem off yelp. Great food, friendly staff and low light so you can enjoy it.

Shelby G.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try this place out and sit on their newly expanded outdoor patio for brunch. It was graduation weekend and they already had a ton of reservations, but we got their at opening and were able to get a table quick. If you're sitting outside and order an alcoholic drink, you'll have to walk inside to get it, as the law doesn't allow the servers to carry it out of the door. I ordered eggs benedict for $18. I'm still shocked by how expensive it was, until I realized this is the new norm everywhere. It came with one side and I ordered veggies with housemade ranch, which was tasty. The eggs were pretty typical. Service was great. Hosts and servers were very attentive and friendly.

Caren L.

Yelp
Food wasn't very good, over priced, service was slow. Checks were wrong. We were the only people there at lunch.

Dru M.

Yelp
Consistently good food, friendly and attentive staff. A regular go to for our family on the weekend.

Pb S.

Yelp
Great meal in a neat restaurant. Southern charm, and reasonable prices. Food was really good

Santiago O.

Yelp
Phenomenal place. The executive chef/owner runs a fantastic food establishment. From the front to the back. Service and hospital are superb, with an inviting warm ambiance. The menu has a wonderful spectrum of offerings all excited to perfection. Ingredient sourcing from local vendors of high quality and consistency truly compliment and shine through in the amazing dishes they craft from them. Worth every penny and it is one of our favorite places to eat in all of NWA. This is a place that whether your a local or just visiting, you cannot afford to miss and will truly enjoy. Keep up the great work @Mockingbirdkitchen. We love having you here.

Cole M.

Yelp
Food was a little pricy for the quality. It was a small restaurant and felt more personal. It's in a nice plaza with some shops around while you wait for a table. Good place to grab brunch.

Valerie M.

Yelp
Probably the best waffle I've ever eaten. Also the grits are amazing!!! Our server was adorable! Quick and very kind!! We were seated within 20 minutes... crowded but plenty of space to enjoy our meal!!!

Michael T.

Yelp
Food selection was pretty good and the staff was attentive. Meal was very good, and we were both pleased. It was also a good value. The only feedback I would offer is the inside is very pedestrian. It doesn't have to be fancy, but it felt uninspired, almost dreary. Wont stop us from returning, but it would make a difference in the atmosphere.

David S.

Yelp
Just good above average food. Tasted fresh and everyone had something different. We all liked it. My friend said the meatloaf was incredible

Angie N.

Yelp
Known for having a great brunch, but enjoy the patio deck when you get a chance. One of Fayetteville's gems.

Sara M.

Yelp
Simple design, clean, neat, in strip mall- but don't let the basic look deceive- the food was immaculately prepared, fresh, beautiful, tasty, quick; vegan and gluten free delicious options. I had the eggs Benedict with Salmon and capers, a side of steamed green vegetables (kale). My daughter ordered a vegan dish that she enjoyed- kind of like a stir fry. Definitely will return for brunch as I noticed mimosa buckets and other fun Eggs Benedictbeverages. Great service- prompt, professional!

KeKe C.

Yelp
I eat here often. It isn't unheard of for me to frequent this restaurant at least twice a month. The food is very good and consistent as well. Last time I was there I had the Beef Brisket Hash. This dish was listed under the specials brunch menu. I WISH I had taken a picture because it was a beautiful dish. The brisket was smoked, cut into chunks and very tender. Along with the brisket there were chunks of sweet potato, kale, and other vegetables. An over easy egg graced the top. I added some of the house made hot sauce and got to work! The portion size was just right. There was just enough brisket to have a bit with each forkful of veggies. I also got coffee and a cranberry mimosa as well. The waitstaff was, as per usual, exceptional. They are courteous and do a good job of checking in just enough without being too much.

Dave C.

Yelp
The food is incredible. Love that this is a farm to table restaurant. I had the meatloaf absolutely the most tender I've ever had. My wife had the cod and it was so light and tender. Finally the Mockingbird pie is a must! The staff really hustle and are very pleasant. Well done Emma. If you ever visit Fayetteville put this restaurant on your agenda

Bryan B.

Yelp
They have one of the best brunches in town. Love the fact that they take reservations. It's one of the few local restaurants that do. The food is always great when we go and the specials can knock your socks off. I had a duck benedict one time here that has to be one of the best eggs benedict's I've ever had.

Nicole D.

Yelp
Amazing food, great service, and a clean restaurant. Defiantly a place to check out if in the FAY area.

Jason S.

Yelp
Love this place. I am vegan and they always have tasty taco choices for me. And the guacamole is delicious. I highly recommend this local taco place!

Jim L C.

Yelp
Everything we've tried at Mockingbird has been amazing! One of our favorite restaurants. Definitely try the meatloaf and ice cream.

Bradley D.

Yelp
The food was overly priced and nasty. I would not recommend this to anyone. I'd choose a bologna sandwich over this place, and that's saying a lot because Bologna sandwiches are nasty. And the owners are two-faced liars.

Chris W.

Yelp
I'd like to keep this a secret to myself but that's unfair to their business model. Am always surprised and delighted here and feel like it's the best deal in town for constantly changing upscale but casual dishes. Service is always informed and personal as well.

Kent K.

Yelp
Great food and service. It has really improved over the years. Three of us for Mother's Day and none of us had a bad dish.

Benjamin M.

Yelp
Dull joint in a strip mall. Food is OK, atmosphere is horrible.

Michael M.

Yelp
The definition of southern food. I came here homecoming weekend, a few weeks ago, with a group of friends and it was the best meal I had all weekend. My entree was the pan fried cat fish. The cat fish was flaky and had a nice kick to it. The grits underneath it was creamy and without lumps, just the way I like it. The puree underneath it was super flavorful and the perfect addition to the dish, a 10 out of 10 easily. For desert, my date and I split the Mockingbird Pie. Words can not describe how delicious it was. It was creamy and the perfect way to end the day. See photos below. Next time I am in town, I will be back.

Rob C.

Yelp
Great food in a very unassuming location. After eating here I would have expected this to be in a more farm to table setting. Great execution and friendly staff. It certainly fits the Fayetteville culture.

Geniave H.

Yelp
I wanted to try another Farm to Table restaurant in the Fayetteville area, so we found Mockingbird Kitchen through our search. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I had the Ropa Vieja! It is brisket on a bed of creamy grits. It was so good, I ate the whole bowl before I thought to take a picture. I also ordered the roasted potatoes. Yummmm! You can't go wrong eating here and we will definitely go again when we're in the area.

Juan A.

Yelp
Great Eggs Benedict. Excellent service. Nice location with plenty parking and outside cute seating

Rilo M.

Yelp
The food is good! My disappointment lies with getting glutened by GF marked menu item (brisket) Celiacs please beware the brisket and get the duck tacos instead

Casey R.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem in NWA! The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere so relaxed. My mom and I went for lunch. We split the fish and grits and ordered a side of fries. Fries are always a great judge of character for any restaurant! The "ketchup" was house made and tasted so good! The fish and grits were the Louisiana girls dream! The grits were smooth and creamy and the fish seasoned well. The tomato gravy was perfect pairing. We will be back next time with the family. Our server said they are popular for Sunday brunch. You might want to make a reservation though ;-). Oh and your welcome in advance!! Ohh and by the way.... allergy friendly menu so celiacs can eat with ease!

Sarah-Catherine J.

Yelp
Excellent service, wonderful food! We definitely be back. Potato hash was perfectly seasoned. Turkey melt was a delicious sweet and savory option. Chicken in waffles was quite possibly the best we've ever had!

Christine M.

Yelp
Great food, always consistent ... nice folks too. Brunch is especially good. Not much else to add ...

John M.

Yelp
A wonderful restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere and excellent food. We have tried to visit a couple of times, but never cold get the timing right - we live 30 miles away. Finally made it last weekend and we will definitely be back! My wife had the special, Salmon and Risotto dish, and I had the Ropa Vieja. They were both amazing! Do yourself a favor and make time to visit!

Tom A.

Yelp
We have e been here twice for breakfast while visiting NWA. This is a very nicely done, clean spot to eat. The service is as good as the food. Great menu choices and side items are as good as well. The breakfast is great.

Anissa A.

Yelp
Decided to give a new place to try - found the menu to be quite interesting, execution to be mostly good and service, if intentionally casual, just a bit lackluster. Saturday lunch menu was a fun group of starters, salads and sandwiches, and a few blue plates. We decided to have the buffalo cauliflower and read the preparation to be poached cauliflower then fried, and I presumed then dressed in the buffalo sauce, as you would do chicken. Instead, the fried florettes just had buffalo sauce on the side. Pretty disappointed - tossing them in the sauce in a hot skillet makes it stick; dipping just doesn't have the same effect. My BFF had a veggie burger on focaccia, and I will say the focaccia was probably some of the best I've ever had. It was light and soft and warm, not that thick gut bombs of bread that I run across in airports. I had the duck confit salad, which had soft sweet cheese, pears, pecans, etc. Pretty yummy stuff. Our waitress was sweet, and attentive enough, but just not very knowledgeable. We had to prompt to know what soup they were serving today, prompt another time to find out about specials, etc. I would have expected by 11:30 on Saturday, they'd be ready for the day. Small concern. Had some fascinating sounding desserts and several selections of homemade ice cream, but couldn't find it in my diet today. Will make a point to go back and give that and some other items another try.
