Where To Eat In Barcelona When You’re Sick Of Tapas - Barcelona - The Infatuation

"At Mog, Barcelona-style sharing plates and seasonal ingredients meet homey Goan recipes. The result is less fiery than India but zestier than we’re used to in town, as coconut, ginger, and tamarind bring out sweet and sour South Indian flavors that aren’t dumbed down to please the masses. Milder dishes like the juicy beef croquette and deep-fried Mike’s Chicken are a nod to the local palate, but the smoky fish curry and plump mussels served in a tangy green sauce more than make up for it. This place doubles as a natural wine bar, pouring lighter, fruitier varieties from Catalonia that pair perfectly with this small-plate feast." - isabelle kliger

Mog - Review - Eixample - Barcelona - The Infatuation

Wonderful restaurant on a quieter street in the center of Barcelona. All our dishes were uniquely prepared and delicious. The blend of Indian, Asian, and Spanish cuisine is truly unique. The chef and waitstaff were delightful. A wide selection of natural wines complemented the experience.

Incredible meal in Barcelona and highly recommend eating there. The food was a delicious mixture of fusion dishes taking inspiration from places like Goa, Thailand as well as Spain. Highly recommend the spicy Gambas and the mussels. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the service was amazing. Truly a wonderful experience and can’t recommend enough.

Ended up making a booking at MOG based on proximity to our Hotel and some very persuasive Google reviews. Service was EXCELLENT! We were taken through the menu by the owner, who explained each dish and provided us with guidance on how much to order (three dishes for two people - shared) and which sides complemented each dish. He also mixed a great cocktail for me, which was similar to what I have back home, but with a flavouring of ginger added which added a really nice zing. My husband want a white wine, and once again we were guided by our amazing host, who let him sample a couple based on what he liked. Needless to say, the wine was a great match. As to the food, we ordered the chilli prawns - fat, juicy, cooked to perfection, with just enough chilli added to enhance the flavours without overpowering, the very tasty pan fried vegetables, nicely accompanied by a slightly sweet sauce and the Goan fish curry - fish was cooked to perfection with the red curry once again perfectly balanced to enhance flavour. The restaurant itself was attractive, very clean, with some good music playing, while still being able to hold a conversation. Overall - a five star experience, and well worth the effort of trying.

This is a lovely space with a hidden gem of a restaurant at the back. We enjoyed a candlelit dinner with an excellent selection of wines, and the cocktails were both delicious and fairly priced. The food truly stands out! Their take on the classic pan con tomate is fantastic. We kicked off with the beef croquettes, which were top-notch in quality. The fish curry was absolutely incredible, and the peanut noodles were fresh and flavorful. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The service was outstanding as well. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

If I could give it 10 stars I would!! We went this week for an after work dinner. The food was outstanding! The whole team took such amazing care of us. If you love great food with pristine seasoning and flavors treat your taste buds. Every dish was fantastic. Fish curry, coconut tiramisu, the mussels! And the shrimp, veggies! All amazing! The recommendation for wine and dishes were spot on. We only ate and drank until we could not fit anymore and didn’t leave one bite! Try the amazing local Orange Wine! Thank you for a fantastic memorial night for us! We so enjoyed it, I will get back there for sure next trip!

I was recommended by a friend to give Mog a try since he visited Mog twice during his previous trip to Barcelona. My fiancé and I had a very cozy date and a wonderful experience at Mog. The plates were delicious, the drinks were great, and the service was beyond. Raul walked us through the menu along with recommendations and was happy to share with us on how the restaurant came about as well as the behind the scenes of the nostalgic plates that we devoured. Definitely give this place a try if you want to experience flavor bombs!! PS: The coconut pandan creme brulée is a MUST to end the meal.

Have seen this beautiful place for quite a while and I just regret not having been in earlier! OMG!!!! Raul & Rachel along with all their team are such a special team, making you feel at home and explaining every bit of the menu. The food was amazing, we had the mussels, spicy gambas, shrimp salad and Kra pao, can’t decide which was best! And please don’t miss the Coco brulee nor cocktails. We will definitely see you VERY SOON!! PS: My little dog was also welcomed with a bowl of water, so pet friendly too!

We had the most amazing experience at Mog! Raul greeted us with the most warm welcome we’ve ever received at restaurant. He walked us through the menu and offered us glasses of amazing wine. The food was outstanding! We ordered the Gambas Chilly, Pescado Fritto Goan, and the Mog Kaprao. All three were soo good and we would repeat this meal over and over again. We ended the evening with the coco Brulé which rounded out a perfect evening.
