"Barcelona isn’t the place to be if you like your food punched up with seasonings. Mog is one of the few exceptions. Here, Barcelona-style sharing plates and seasonal ingredients meet homey Goan recipes. The result is less fiery than India but zestier than we’re used to in town, as coconut, ginger, and tamarind bring out sweet and sour South Indian flavors that aren’t dumbed down to please the masses. Milder dishes like the juicy beef croquette and deep-fried Mike’s Chicken are a nod to the local palate, but the smoky fish curry and plump mussels served in a tangy green sauce more than make up for it.
