Clerkenwell’s Best Restaurants | Where to Eat Near Farringdon Station - Eater London

"On a previous version of this map, Moi An was bundled into a separate entry for Leather Lane, even though 1) it’s not even on Leather Lane; and 2) doing so was an absolute travesty. This lunchtime-only Vietnamese spot is absolutely worthy of consideration all by itself, such is the quality and versatility of its offering. Care and attention to detail sing out from the sonorous stocks at the base of excellent noodle soups; among a range of toppings served over rice, beef meatballs wrapped in betel leaf are a notable standout. When the sun’s out, summer rolls are a burst of freshness and zip; in winter, a stout bo kho warms like an extra layer. Pro tip: the house lemongrass chilli oil makes everything taste better; buy an extra pot for experimentation at home." - George Reynolds

4.5 stars Very tasty food - pictured is the Vietnamese chicken rice bowl. Yes it is annoying that they don’t take card payments for transactions under £15, however just use the Ritual app and then you can use card (and it’ll be ready when you arrive!)

One of my go to Vietnamese takeaways. Tender beef in pho, delicious spring rolls, chicken salad box is also fantastic. Only two prawns in the mango salad... Slightly disappointed with that.

I've gone here for lunch quite a few times and it is definitely worth it. The service is incredibly quick and the meal is consistently delicious. I usually go for the turmeric fish noodles. There are also some decent veggie options.

Awesome hidden little gem. Authentic food at low price point. Having lived in Asia for 10 years I find this very comforting. Definitely will come back soon.

Nonstop Eating

Good tasted overall, but meat is bit dry and salty as they are pre-prepared. Good portion, and good delivery service.

I want to give 6/5 stars, but unfortunately I cannot. This is one of the most tasty Asian restaurants I have tried in London. The menu is simple and small with fresh ingredients. The service is outstandingly fast, the portions are quite big and the prices are more than fair leaning towards cheap. I strongly recommend it.

A solid lunchtime eatery: good selection, quality food and reasonable prices. I usually have their beef stew and 95% of the time the beef is very tender. The portions are generous too. The only negative is that you have to pay with cash for small orders.

Super fast delivery and super good food. They have all options including meat, sea food and vegetarian. I eat my lunch over here almost everyday during my office days . The wonton soup noodles and the chicken curry are the best. My favourite is the tofu and mushroom baguette. I can not imagine a better tofu baguette anywhere else . The only drawback is that they don't accept card

Yelp
I love vermicelli so I of course had to check out Moi An. A friend (who frequently goes to City Caphe, their other location) and I came for lunch a couple weeks ago and had a great time. We got there around 1 PM and there were actually a good number of seats available, score! Most people seem to order to go. We both had the Bun Cha BBQ Pork Noodle Salad, which was delicious. The portions are super generous and they put tons of meat on it. I thought it was going to be more of the red (char siu) BBQ pork that you see in a lot of Asian dishes. The one we had didn't feel particularly BBQ-like and it was a tad dry, but it was still tasty. Moi An features solid, fast Vietnamese food and now that I'm thinking about it, I'm probably going to go again today for lunch.
