"It’s almost required to order a cooling sangria or mojito upon stepping into Mojitos (as the restaurant’s namesake suggests). Those visiting on the right night will be treated to live music along with notable versions of Cuban-style pollo a la plancha, ropa vieja, and vaca frita, the latter grilled flank steak marinated in plenty of garlic and lime. The go-to order here is its Cubano, one of the city’s best: Juicy lechon, sliced ham, Swiss, pickles, yellow mustard, and mayonnaise get pressed into high-quality Cuban bread." - Mona Holmes, Matthew Kang, Nicole Adlman

Visited yesterday for lunch.. My guest and I got the Ropa Vieja (lunch), the Ox tail, 2 mojitos, empanadas, and a side of plantain strips. Service was great and staff was very nice. The empanadas were piping hot. However, the rest of our food was a little cold when it came out. Drinks were delicious though!

The closes I have to my hometown !!! FLORIDA , I was super happy with the food and the waitress was the nicest I don’t have any complains at all.

Google
The food is the closest to having a Cuban home cooked meal I have had in years! It is truly on of the best restaurants around this area. If you haven't been, drop everything, even your first born child, and go! And the drinks are amazing! AND the service is great!!!!

Good friendly staff and great tasting food.

I went to this place as a recommendation from a family member, they had praised the food and the live salsa music. The place is small with patio seating only, the food was ok, small portions, and did not agree with my stomach and others at our party. The drinks were terrible, sweet, and no alcohol. The service started well but our waitress was enjoying the live band more than taking care of us. The music was not salsa music, it sounded more like a low-rider club sound. The kicker was once the bill arrived, for some reason they couldn't reconcile the tab, overcharged us, and kept changing the amounts higher than the initial amount without an explanation. It is too bad, drove a long way to be disappointed after, this is a place I would not be going back to.

Google
Good and cozy location, superfriendly, attentive staff and great food! Their pineapple lemonade is worth a try, it's tasty! What a gem in the Valley!

Google
This place has become one of our favorites, and in the many times we’ve gone over the year it’s never disappointed on any level. The servers are so kind and attentive, the mojitos are refreshing, and the pollo saltado comes out perfect every time. This is one of the few places where I immediately look forward to our next night back after we leave.

Yelp
My family and I we love coming here 1-food is spot on and delicious finger licking good!! Our fave is the Rabo (ox tails) they do juicy and tender 10/10 I ordered the masitas this time wow just to say my family tried it and they all loved the masitas de puerco. The maduros (plantains) are always spot on mm mm mmm..... ordering a side is always a must! The service is always so good Friendly and courteous a lot of check ins what I love when you go to a restaurant they come to you for anything you might need or want instead of you getting up or chase them around Great service is always a plus here. Alex he is a sweetheart we been coming here for quite a bit... and he has always given us espectacular service along with his friendship. He always takes good care of us Thank you Alex and the rest for making a great experience each and every time. Support this amazing place ....your belly and taste buds will thank you later

Yelp
Love this place. We always come here for Cuban food. Always so delicious. Today there was a little mix up with our order but nevertheless it wasn't a huge deal as all their food is very delicious. This is one of San Fernando's greatest secret. Love all the restaurants here. I highly recommend this place anytime.

Maria R.

Yelp
First time here and am satisfied with everything here, the food was delicious, ambience calm and nice music, service on point, drinks are good , I ordered grilled chicken, empanadas, ropa vieja and sangria , DELICIOUS!!! Will back soon!!!

Efua A.

Yelp
I went to this place a while back and I had an amazing experience. The food was very good and tasty. The staff is very good at what they do. The ambiance is nice too.

Maribel G.

Yelp
I've been here in person and had food delivered. Every time the food was cooked to perfection. I always get the empanadas and the pollo a la plancha. The waiters are always friendly and attentive. They make sure that you are satisfied. Great ambiance as well and plenty of parking in the back. Can't wait to be back soon!

G S.

Yelp
Situated in the cutest courtyard next to the cutest library, you will find Mojitos. Sit in the patio, sip a glass of Sangria and order some potato balls stuffed with picadillo to start. Fried mashed potatoes stuffed with seasoned ground beef. Order the Vaca Frita ( chopped skirt stake with vegetables) served with white rice, black beans and a side of fried plantains. The staff is really nice and I was told there is live music on Fridays. Call and reserve a table. Space is limited.

Megan L.

Yelp
3.5 stars Ordered from the lunch menu and he price was not inflated and priced at $13 and $14 dollar meals that came with meat, rice, black beans, and two pieces of plantains. The meal was not so flavorful, but at least it wasn't bland. The plantain pieces had a subtle sweetness, which is how I like my sweets. The Mexican coke comes in a glass Coca-Cola bottle and is made with cane sugar. Not a fan of how little salsa was given. Oddly enough, it was one and 1/4th sauce cups worth. The spicy salsa had a kick but wasn't burn-in-your-mouth spicy, which I liked.

Grace T.

Yelp
I was craving for Cuban food and Found this place on Yelp. I ordered Ropa vieja which is a shredded beef braised in salsa Creola, peppers, onions and tomatoes for $18.50 And famous garlic chicken half roasted chicken marinated in their signature house sauce topped with onions for $17.50. The food came with black beans and yummy plantain banana. Both dishes were delicious and service was great! Definitely recommend!

Olive S.

Yelp
The food is delicious! To me, this is the best cuban flavor in town. The prices and the services are amazing. Chris helped us and he was very thoughtful and friendly. Mojitos offers generous lunch specials, happy hour, Monday to Friday, and a beautiful dining patio. I Totally recommend you to check them out

Allen C.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. The food came out pretty quickly. The service was mediocre at best. Our waitress was too busy dancing salsa when she could have been checking on us. Took forever to get water. She was a terrible waitress. I won't be going back ever again.

Normita N.

Yelp
This is the cutest little gem in San Fernando. The food was amazing & delicious. I had the Rabo Encendido ( beef oxtail) in a rich creole sauce the flavor was just simply amazing! heaven to my pallet, the meat fell apart~ perfectly cooked. Paired with rice and plantains. Try happy hour! Drinks 1/2 off Chris & Alex are great host. Friendly and Welcoming. 100% recommend. Patio seating in the beautiful courtyard ~ listening to salsa music .. Life is beautiful!!! Cheers to you looking for place in SF to eat with great food.. give this gem a try !!

Bridget K.

Yelp
One of my favorite local go-tos! The lomo here is delicious along with the papa rellenas and empanadas. The sangria is a MUST. Seating is outdoors which is perfect with the weather getting warmer. I'm excited to dine in on a Friday when they have a live band playing.

Louise O.

Yelp
Delicious food, amazing customer service, fast turnaround on takeout, and large portions. So glad we found this place!

Carolina C.

Yelp
I loved everything about this place! Food was very yummy, with good portion sizes (not too big, to me that a good thing). A few of us had the Ropa Vieja, my husband had the lechon and my MIL had the picadito. Everyone liked what they ordered. It is located in a lovely courtyard area near the San Fernando Library and the patio seating is very nice. It's a covered patio and the day we were there the weather was beautiful, warm with a slight breeze (just perfect). This feels like a hidden gem because I had never been to this area but it was nicer than expected and not crowded. We found street parking easily but there is also a back parking area we noticed after. The service was great, food was served promptly and everything was fresh and flavorful. The desserts were very good too, I loved the flan! I will definitely return to this place!

Frida C.

Yelp
Ame la comida las bebidas y el ambiente del lugar El flan es delicioso, los mojitos hay de varios sabores y tienen happy hour.

Sally L.

Yelp
Outdoor seating only. Food was good but wasn't as flavorful in taste as it was in smell. The black beans were yummy but nothing about the rice made it memorable.

NiCole R.

Yelp
The food was delicious, drinks had a great flavor, I had the classic mojito. Service was good. The outdoor seating is nice but the only have outdoor seating. I'll definitely be back

Carmen G.

Yelp
I am Cuban and was raised in South Florida so I know Cuban food really well and I am reviewing this with that lens. Ultimately, the food was good and I would rate 3.5 if I could, rating is because of authenticity and discrepancies between what was listed on the menu and what I was given. Empanadas were great and authentic. Pan con bistec did taste good but was not authentic or what was described. Not served on Cuban bread, as desecribed, instead on torta bread. Also missing the papitas/ potato sticks, as described on the menu also. And also had a lot of mayo and mustard I think which was not on the menu, I didn't take points away for this since some people do consider this authentic. I will come back to try the ropa vieja which was recommended and the bistec empanizado because this was pretty close. But was good if you aren't picky about authentic pan con bistec.

Yelp
I enjoyed my time here at mojitos would Recommend to go on a Friday because they have live music and great service , the food was delicious would try this spot again

Michael K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, excellent staff and the food is fantastic. I would encourage everyone to try the Cuban experience at Mojitos.

Joseph G.

Yelp
Great food, cute atmosphere, friendly staff. Will be coming back again to try more dishes. Garlic Chicken and Filete a la Plancha were delicious, and the empanadas were a great start. Can't include a picture since the plates were empty way too quickly.

Tammy S.

Yelp
Nice servers & great plantains!!! Good place to eat vegan believe it or not- meat is good too!! Don't eat there in the heat of the summer. No inside seat

Briana T.

Yelp
I was waiting to try this place and everything was amazing. The food was really good and fresh to order. The mojitos were delicious. And the service was great!

Jordan M.

Yelp
Third day in a row to try and place an order pick up but yet they never answer ! Funny thing is that there's no busy tone . It'll just ring till you get the voice Mail . Called over nine times in the past three days , guess I'll never try this place out !

Harold K.

Yelp
Arrived for lunch with a frequent visitor to Mojitos. Tastes vary from person to person, and sometimes recommendations are not up to snuff, or the sniff test, but I have to say, what a pleasant surprise. The Lechon - traditional Cuban pork in garlic was excellent and I highly recommend it. Service is great, it's all outdoor though so consider that when you plan your visit, but it is worth the drive, you should enjoy like I did. Thank you Raquel for the invitation.

Miles S.

Yelp
This is a true hidden gem that you'll become a regular at if you stop by. Tucked inside a peaceful plaza that is reminiscent of something out of a movie, great food awaits. Mojito's has all the classics from Cuban bread sandwiches filled with ham and tangy mustard to perfectly cooked oxtails soaked in cajun-esque seasoning. They have live music on friday's and their patio overflows with joyous songs while you are dining outside. Family owned and operated this spot is for sure to win over your heart after stopping by. Their drinks are great and the beef smothered in seasoning is amazing as well. Try all their classics and order for pick up as well as catering! Stay Eatin'!

Steven M.

Yelp
The food was incredible and the atmosphere was so welcoming, from the start I was greeted with a smile full of good energy. I also met the owner Eli, he was very kind and polite, I would definitely recommend this place whether you're going to eat with friends or with family.

Melinda B.

Yelp
The place was in a cute plazita. I really loved the latin music playing in the background of the dining area. The music was colorful, vibrant and relaxing. The servers were very nice and good humored. I started with a cafe americano. It was served in a wide brimmed coffee, which for me always adds a cozy touch, especially in the chilly and sprinkly weather that was today. I ordered the lomo saltado. There were so many tempting options but I have been craving a lomo saltado for months, so I followed my dream, lol. It was the PERFECT choice. Oh my god it satisfied every taste bud. I even really liked the rice (and I am a super picky rice person). First timer here and I would love to return.

Yelp
Fabulous little Cuban restaurant. Our server was so welcoming and a true pro at keeping everything running smoothly. The sampler plate was ok I loved their empanadas, the potato balls were kind of cold in the center, I think they needed to be deep fried a bit longer as they were quite thick. The pork on the sampler seemed a bit tough and over cooked. The mango lemonade was delicious I appreciate the fact that refills are included with your drink. Outdoor seating was cute and I love that they're dog friendly. Overall great experience, could just use a little finessing here and there with the cooking aspect. The plantains were a hit. Their Lechon pork plate was excellent. Rice was exceptional and the herbal black beans were delicious. Presentation and cleanliness 100% excellent.

Erve A.

Yelp
Visited mojitos for the second time . First time the food was pretty good. Had the sampler which included some popular menu items. The empanadas and the pork was a favorite from the sampler. My main concern was the lack of flavor from the two main dish; the Ropa Vieja and the Beef Picadillo . Definitely needed a little more seasoning or added flavor. Cuban food is all about flavor!! Other than that, service was friendly and fast. Outdoor seating was nice and quite.

Lori T.

Yelp
We had a delicious lunch at Mojitos. We both had a Cubano sandwich (they are big enough to split) with a side of plantain chips I'm looking forward to trying the other dishes on the menu. It is patio dining only in a charming plaza area. Our server was very nice and helpful.

Yadira G.

Yelp
Mojitos has the best Cuban catering by far. They catered my birthday event and everyone was impressed .it was a hit. The ambiance is so energetic! The food is full of flavor and so fresh. The service is amazing, . My server brought my food in a timely manner. I've been here several times and they never disappoint. Come Friday nights with your dancing shoes because they have live music!

Monica S.

Yelp
I don't even know how I stumbled upon this place but I'm so glad I did. This is authentic Cuban food. The atmosphere the service the food, everything is excellent here. It's a cute little outdoor dining area. We tried the strawberry mojitos which were good and strong. Then had the Cuban sampler, the lechon, and a special with a ribeye and shrimp. The flavor in each dish was excellent. I'm super picky about beans and rice but, they have some of the best beans and rice I've ever had. Then there was some beautiful, live music which added to the already fabulous atmosphere. So glad we found this place, we will be back.

Robert D.

Yelp
Really good Cuban food which is very hard to find in Los Angeles. Lechon, Ropa Vieja and the picadillo are the best. Enjoy.

Julie E.

Yelp
What a great gem! A group of about 17 of us fit comfortably in their outdoor patio area behind the restaurant. Apps were delish, the cocktails were on point and the staff were amazing! Will definitely be coming back!

Kaycee B.

Yelp
I love the vibes of this place. It's just perfect for meals with loved ones! Their staff is also very courteous and polite.

Ser L.

Yelp
Location was good place park of the back Food was good They have seating outdoor with heating stand. Cozy place. Service was good too

Yesenia V.

Yelp
This location is next to our barbers so we walked right next door for dinner. I was excited to find a Cuban restaurant - My husband is Cuban and the expectation was high. The back patio has Cuban salsa playing - luckily for us there was no wait. I ordered a mango mojito and the first sip took me back to Cuba. The mint is fresh and mojito seems authentic. I am excited to taste the food and hope it takes me back tl the beautiful Sandy beaches of Cuba

Kat M.

Yelp
Service is good. They have lunch specials that end at 3pm we got there around 2:30 and ordered beforethree but since the order was served to us after 3, they did not honor the special (doesn't make sense). Also the food portions are so small. The ropa vieja had a lot of onion and bell pepper and a little bit of beef. Over priced.

Em G.

Yelp
We have come a few times & tried different items on the menu. Service is ALWAYS so nice & welcoming. Alex is great, he has recommended dishes for us. The empanadas are delicious. We have also enjoyed the ropa vieja, cubano sandwich & more. Their happy hour is great! We will be returning for live music on Fridays soon

Yessica O.

Yelp
This food is delicious but you have to try their Cuban empanadas. The owner is friendly and passionate about serving San Fernando. I could not say more about the empanadas except you'd regret it if you don't try one. I bought them for a holiday party and they were a hit.

Jerry B.

Yelp
Food is always tasty here, staff is great, and love sitting in the patio ads to the ambiance.

Ralph M.

Yelp
My wife was searching for a Caribbean food restaurant and so off we went to Mojitos. It's only about 20 minutes from our home so it was a mini adventure for dinner. I did my own Yelp research and liked what I read. The restaurant only has outside dining but its part of a multi-business shared courtyard, very nice and away from street noise. We were greeted by a young man who I later learned was Alex. He was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. He gave us ample time to peruse the various selections and answered our questions. I ordered the Tour of Cuba and my wife selected the Vaca Frita. Both meals were nicely presented and they did not skimp on the quantity. We are not Cuban nor are we experts on Cuban cuisine but we do know flavors and food that is distinct in flavor profiles. Both of our meals were very good and we enjoyed every bit of them. Alex continued to check on us regularly and he brought me some homemade spicy salsa that complimented my lechon. We followed our meal with flan and tres leches cake that Alex recommended and noted that are both made in house. Parking behind the restaurant was plentiful and the courtyard atmosphere was casual with people visiting other establishments and the public library there. We relaxed, had a very good meal and plan to return.

Susie L.

Yelp
First time here, food was delicious. I got the empanadas as an appetizer and the mofongo with oxtail for my entree. Omg it was mouthwatering, come check this place out u won't be disappointed. Also our server was very courteous, checked on us frequently.

Cyndi L.

Yelp
Love this place! The food is delicious. Truly. I've known that since they opened. What I didn't know is that they make delicious tamales during the Christmas season and ordering is so easy. The customer service is outstanding. Definitely recommend them.

Lady S.

Yelp
Outside seating only - Food was good, I feel like the portions were decent, limonadas were also okay but not worth $5, not sure if they offer refills but no one came to offer.

Jack L.

Yelp
I have been here coming here for maybe 1 1/2 years every couple months since I don't live in the area. Food is very good and the staff is friendly but whoever my server was trying to be sneaky. Server asked if we wanted yucca fries after we order. We both say no but yucca fries come out to us. We just waited for our food to come out and not touching the yucca fries... But as we get our bill the server tries to hide the fact it was on the bill, not allowing me to see the itemize receipt. I ended up paying for it but I deduct from the servers tip. It's sucks because I haven't experience this before from mojitos. I am giving it a 4 stars because I know the resturant doesn't normal do this stuff. I'm not sure what the deal with this server but if happens the next time will be adjusting this review.

Tracey G.

Yelp
Bomb.com! They recently added more food and drink choices! This place is great and relaxing for a nice lunch date. The service is friendly and the staff likes to pay attention to details.

Janna S.

Yelp
Garlic chicken and oxtail are a must try here. Can't wait to come back to try some different dishes

Alexandra P.

Yelp
The food is authentic and soooooo delicious! I had ropa vieja mofongo ! It was sooooo good ! I definitely look forward to going back again! The place is very cute! And the service was great as well!
