Every dish I tried here was absolutely amazing and packed with deep, authentic flavor. It is clear that a lot of heart and dedication goes into the cooking, and that care reflects in every bite. The ingredients taste fresh and genuine, giving the whole meal a true Mexican feel that transports you instantly. The setting is intimate and welcoming, which makes the experience even more special.

I didn't dine in, I came here for takeout on my lunch break. I ordered the bistec ranchero with over easy egg. It was saucy, flavorful. Handmade tortillas was a nice touch. Cafe de olla was sweet and tasty didn't need any milk to it. Would come back with more time to try their varieties of mole's. Parking was on the street ,some parking in the back.

Absolutely divine! It’s like stepping into your grandmas house, and she makes you food, with lots of love. The dishes are traditional Mexican but with an elevated taste and quality. The place is small, but that’s its charm. You see the cooks make your food proudly. I recommend you try this place. You will absolutely love it!

Amazing food! Home made flavors! Hand made corn tortillas and delicious cafe de la Hoya! The owner is nice and is one of the cooks. Her 2 daughters help service! Small place with good flavors. Portions ate not to big, but perfect if don't like to over eat! We keep coming back! Lol

Small, clean, hole in the wall with delicious food. The waitress is young and lacks people skills but took care of us. You can park in the back or good luck with street parking. Price is right for what you get.

1st time here. Mole de fresas is finger licking good. Plantains in tequila creamy sauce is a must have!!! Join it with a café de hoya, y por que no.

Honestly hands down one of the most authentic and intentional restaurants in LA!! I come here at least once a week bc the food is delicious, the portions are perfect, and the service is great! The cafe de olla is absolutely one of my favorite things along with the Enfrijoladas Oaxaceñas ! Everything I’ve tried is delicious and soooo unique like the nopal drink or the black bean soup. Love supporting this place!! 10/10🙏🏻

WFH few minutes to spare in between tasks...enter Mole. Opened the map app dialed in and was advised to pull up in 10min. I was late...I have time blindness(it's a thing look it up) I digress. The food however was ready and waiting.Paid, received and transported food home. Your boy had the over hard egg first... and that's why I'm here. I recently started ordering my egg like that but it makes me feel sophisticated ey... pretentious dare I say. However this egg was (enter favorite adjective) *its not enough Amazing experience it's an egg how good can it be ? No salsa nothing but just try it. No picture because I ate that thang s'fast. Chilaquiles w steak and eggs also fire. Bye for now

stopped by Mole Del Rey after seeing it on TikTok and decided to give it a try, even though it's not in my usual area. I ordered the chilaquiles with potatoes, over-easy eggs, and a small portion of beans. We also got the mole with two over-easy eggs, beans, and potatoes. Unfortunately, both the eggs and potatoes are pulled from a warmer, so the beans came out cold and the potatoes were only slightly warm, still leaning toward cold. The chilaquiles were decent, with a sauce that had a nice flavor but could've used more spice for a real kick. The mole was definitely the highlight of the meal, rich, flavorful, and well-balanced. Portion sizes are on the smaller side, though. On the plus side, the restaurant is small, the service is great, and they're quick to get you in and out. Overall, it was a decent experience, but not something I'd go out of my way to drive for again.

My go to breakfast spot! I always get their chilaquiles with their flor de calabaza sauce, so yummy! Their agua frescas and café de olla are amazing. It is a small place with fast service!

Excellent food! Chilaquiles with red sauce super tasty. The must try though is their cafe de olla! Only one drawback is the parking situation but they do they best they can. No street parking so uber there or park in the back

I took my mom at her insisting that we try this place, and she was so right! Ok, not the prettiest on the outside and more OG in interior design, but what matters is the quality of the food by an experienced kitchen staff. By the way, I've tried mole in some of the best places in Mexico, and this comes very close! I decided to try a few different flavors over the familiar to see how that turned out. Outcome: I can't wait to go back and try something new and something familiar.

Amazing service, food is flavorful, authentic Mexican food! The restaurant is small but has a patio on the side. Parking in the back of the restaurant but is very limited. We tried their molletes, enchiladas verdes & chilaquiles verdes! Delicious! Along with Cafe the olla which comes with one refill. And their agua fresca del día limonada de fresa.

First time coming here, was recommended by my friend and he did not disappoint, the place feels cozy and the service and food is amazing. I wish I would have known of this place earlier, I will definitely be coming back here.

ZERO STARS. NEVER returning. Terrible service from entire staff but especially the waitress Jessica. My mother has bad vision so she couldn't see the menu well. So we tried to ask the waitress questions, but she had a terrible attitude and was not helpful. The food was mediocre, cannot believe they served us that.

Great eating place, love the chilaquiles and service. I love their cafe de ills. They have a wonderful desert of planten cooked in cream with tequila that is out of this world.

Food is bland for the price & service is just horrible. Jessica (waitress), with an Unjustified attitude towards her clients, Ignorant, argumentative & rushed. Definitely not somewhere you'd want to come with family and have a home cooked meal after Sunday mass. I pray for the business and that they turn their services around for the better. Let's get this information clear, At no point did I ever ask for my food to be removed but I asked for my mother's plate to be removed as she did not eat her food when we asked for options for the mole she just said "yeah we have 9 options they're on the menu". (With a dismissive tone) at that point I no longer wanted to complain about anything else and I did proceed eating my food. Paid the full $83 I am pretty sure my mom's plate was still charged even after they said it wasn't. -Pancake plate $6.95 -Enfrijoladas $ 13.95 -2 Enchiladas $13.95 -1 carne asada plate $13.95 -1horchata $6.95 -sprite $3.50 -cafe de olla $3.95 -apple juice $3.95 Very upsetting to have other people involved that were clearly not physically there. But just friends of theirs! No worries we will steer clear from this location.

So many vegan options!! The rise the Aztec soup, which is the beans no cheese no cream you can make a lot of dishes. Vegan just say no cheese no cream.Or meats fish... point is I love this place !! 7 years I been coming here , I love eating here . And the prices are chill

Super delicious everything we have always had there. It's really good no complaints. Whatsoever service is the best super attentive super nice food tastes like homemade food made from my mom's kitchen . Love it there . Omg and let's not forget Café. De holla to die for

I recommend getting here early. A local hot spot for authentic Mexican dishes. My favorite is the green chilaquiles, extra spicy which means sliced habaneros! So good! Quick service once you're seated and amazing food! Don't forget to order their delicious cafe de la olla.

First time here, I was referred by a coworker. Food and service are amazing. I had the opportunity to try the enmoladas wich are two enchiladas with your choice of mole, they have from mild to extra spicy. I had the hot mole and it was delicious. Atmosphere here is relaxing and calm playing soft music in the background. I definitely will come back again.

Not really a negative reviewer but this right here, I was very disappointed with the taste of the food here, specially the Mole sampler, to my taste it had lack of flavor. Ordered the queso fundido with chorizo it came with about 3 tortillas those were hand made I think but they were soft and fresh. My husband ordered the wet burrito de asada with green sauce, it had more veggies than meat and it was just ok and the sauce wasn't all that. My order was the Enfrijoladas Oaxaqueñas which basically was two tortillas filled with cheese covered in bean sauce and a piece of meat, bean sauce was bland it was like watered down canned beans, nothing special honestly, the best thing about this experience was the Agua de Mango con Piña. Service was good, the place is tiny and our server was nice but the food was not good at all.

This place is so small but so good! We waited about 20 minutes and were packed in there like sardines! It was worth it! Service was okay. Hopefully it's better next time. The tamalé was one of the best I've ever had! It was packed with so much flavor! So fresh and so good! I wanted more, but had to control myself. Can't wait to come back. Molé was so good, and was super authentic! Everything was delicious, and simple. Really was great!

The mole poblano was excellent! However, I believe the chicken was grilled. It was dry. Mole poblano usually is accompanied with boiled chicken. The white rice and beans were good. I loved the horchata. It's was served in a glass with the rim coated with cocoa and pumpkins seeds inside the drink. It was yummy! The server was attentive. The restaurant is clean. I returned on a different day. I tried the mixiote de borrego, it was so good! And of course I had another horchata, yum! I'll be returning to try other things.

The place looks tiny from outside but can fit a good amount of people inside. The food was sooo good! I had the mixed fajitas no rice because I'm trying to stick to low carb diet. But I could not say no to the cafe de olla. And it was lovely! My wife had this bean soup that was soooo delicious. We had never had anything quite like it. It was called Reina azteca, highly recommend it!

Only reason I'm giving two stars is because of the presentation of the food and because it has parking. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our meal. The rice was hard ,not sure if it was raw or stale. The chicken on both meals were bland ,no flavor. The pipián didn't taste like pipián. The vegetables had no flavor but boiled carrots passed in oil for 3 minutes. Service was good.

was in the area for my wifes doctors appointment passed by this restraunt automatically had to bust a u turn something told me that this was the spot ! mole and eggs for me nd for my wife chilaquiles rojos ! oh and cant forget the tamal de piña super moist iust how much like them no diddy ! 10/10 nice ambiance good service cant forget that cafe de olla

Food is good, family has been coming here for years . Service is great. Today wasn't a good experience, person washing the dishes seemed like he was angry at life. I believe waitress tried to make him aware of the loud banging. A arrogant remark was heard. Personally I don't I don't like Loud banging when am eating.

If I could rate the Enchiladas Poblanos only they'd get a 4....easy 5 if they were bigger.. Buuuuuut.....they were so small and hardly much chicken in them. 1 was a lot bigger than the other. The smaller one was as small as a frozen taquito. The Mole was slammin though. Super delicious. The beans were cold (which is the worst when it comes to Mexican Food) and the serving portion was soooo small. It honestly looked like they were spread on the plate with a butter knife. I wish I took a pic but I was hungry. And the rice had absolutely no flavor. I love supporting Mom and Pop places over any chain restaurants. But for a $14 plate...it didn't put a dent in my gut. I had to stop on the way back to work and picked up a Whopper from Burger King to fill me up. I'd sure hate to see the size of their Child Plate here. If you come here.....be prepared to order more than you usually do if you're hungry.

First time stopping in here as I was down in Bell on business... what a nice menu with everything affordable and sounding delicious. They have a great breakfast menu I just missed but, for $2 more, it was still available. It was just becoming lunch time so I opted to go with the Enchilada Verde w Chicken, Rice & Beans ($11.99). Everything is made to order here so it takes a few minutes to arrive but that's ok as I have some of their freshly made chips and salsa to hold me over: great chips and so-so salsa (a little loose for my taste). Chips 8/10. Salsa 5/10. The plate arrives and is visually appealing enough. I scarf it down and am not sure if I was so hungry or that the servings are a little small here or both, lol. It's a good lunch though, with the verde sauce being standout and the grilled chicken inside the two small enchiladas being well cooked and seasoned lightly. 7.5 / 10 I asked for a side of the poblano mole sauce to try as it is their specialty and it is EXCELLENT. Like the best I can remember trying. It's a rich, dark brown color, velvety textured molé, less viscous than many I've had, and on the sweeter side with only a hint of smokiness... terrific. 9/10 I'd come here again when in the neighborhood... and eat that molé out of an old shoe if it was all that was available.

This review is for service experienced a few months ago, but the memory still stings. That's how I know it was a really bad experience. My mom asked if a certain dish could be made without chicken - we both don't eat meat. The young female server said "yes", and my mom said "oh, then I'll have that but no chicken". When her plate came she took one bite and realized there was chicken. We called the young lady over to let her know there had been an error. She insisted my mom ordered the chicken. After reminding her of the conversation when we ordered she goes on to say that she's "well she's already eaten it" - when my mom only took one bite and spit it right out. It was the ugliest way to deal with her mistake. The food is good but not worth this type of service.

Hole in the wall, no frills, all thrills. Service is as good as it's gonna get when there's a limited staff and a restaurant full of hungry patrons. Authentic flavorful and very delicious platters. One bite and your taste buds will guide you into a world of flavors and will make you feel like you're at abuela's kitchen indulging in her homemade moles. Can't forget about the fresh Aguas frescas and their bubbling hot Cafe de la Olla that takes me back to a Mexican morning out in the rancho herding cattle and milking cows for pajaretes. This place does tend to get crowded because this restaurant is very small. You might even get to sit separately (big parties beware)

I dined here once and haven't stopped dining here since. The food is delicious and the waitresses are always friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is as if you are in your grandmas kitchen and who doesn't love that?! So far I've only eaten from their breakfast menu. You can't go wrong with anything. My favorites so far are the molletes, huevos rancheros, and their pancakes!! Their cafe de olla is also very good.

First time coming here, I wanted good Cafecito and good authentic Mexican food. Happy to report I got it! Had some empanadas, cafe de olla, huitlacoche cream soup and 3 mole enchiladas.

I had a fantastic experience at Mole de Los Reyes. The service was solid. The tres mole plate (off-menu) w/ chicken enchiladas plate was perfect. I loved the mole verde. Can't really ask more from a restaurant. I will come by to try to cafe de olla next time.
