"Popular 77-year-old Tex-Mex stalwart Molina’s Cantina will open a third location in Fulshear late next year. The self-identified oldest family-owned-and-operated Tex-Mex restaurant in Houston will open a new location at 6300 FM 1463, near the soon-to-be completed West Park Tollway. Molina’s bowed out of its Washington Avenue location in September 2017, but its new spot at the forthcoming Shoppes at Cross Creek sounds like an exciting replacement. Molina’s was the first tenant to sign onto the Clinard Properties project and will be housed within a 5800-square foot corner space. The new locale will feature a patio and breezeway that will offer shade for al fresco dining, and the restaurant will seat about 220 total. As for the menu, Molina’s same classic Tex-Mex and Mexican favorites will make the trek including enchiladas, fajitas, tacos, and their signature Jose’s Dip, along with margaritas, Mexican lagers and more. “We’re excited to join this growing community between Fulshear and Katy,” says Ricardo Molina, a third-generation owner. “With great schools and more families moving to this area, the growth has been phenomenal. We hope to fill a void for full service family restaurants.” Molina’s anticipates a late 2019 opening. Stay tuned for more information as the project develops." - Alaena Hostetter

This place just hits every time. This is our absolute go to place for Mexican cuisine in Fulshear. I have had nothing bad on this menu. Customer service has always been 10/10 from the moment you walk in to the food, service and check the experience is always a delight. Highly recommended are the Chicken Fajita for 2, with charro beans and corn or flour tortillas. The green sauce with the chips and dip are amazing. Top it off with a margarita and you will have yourself an amazing experience. This will continue to be one of our top date night spots.

The chicken fajita is my favorite choice! Its tender and full of flavor. The mango margarita was a little on the rough end. Recommend to upgrade from the house tequila in the mango margaritas. Dinner service was not busy and plenty seating. Fresh flour tortillas were perfect!

Molinas Mexican Restaurant offers a visually stunning atmosphere that immediately impresses upon arrival. The decor is warm, inviting, and authentically styled, creating a truly immersive dining experience. Whether you’re seated inside or on the charming patio, the ambiance is one of the restaurant’s strongest highlights. Unfortunately, the service does not match the beauty of the setting. Staff seemed inattentive, and it took longer than expected to receive our food and drinks. Even when our orders arrived, there was little engagement from the servers, making the experience feel impersonal. As for the food, while the presentation was appealing, the flavors were disappointingly bland. Dishes lacked the bold, vibrant spices typically associated with great Mexican cuisine, leaving much to be desired. With such a stunning atmosphere, it’s a shame the food doesn’t live up to expectations. Overall, Molinas is a great spot for ambiance, but if you’re looking for flavorful dishes and attentive service, you may leave feeling underwhelmed.

We dropped by here on a Friday after a multi-year hiatus. Staff was welcoming and professional. We got seated quickly and the chips, salsas, and water were brought out just as fast. I liked that our waiter knew the drink menu and what was available at the bar. The margarita hit the spot and, whew, I could only drink one cause...wow. Mexican food sometimes isn't photogenic, but it was very tasty. The seating area is huge but also cozy and there's a big parking lot. I thought the food was reasonably priced. I'd rate as one of the better Mexican restaurants in town.

Molinas is usually a great place for lunch, with reasonable pricing. At this particular location, the waitress didn't seem like she wanted to help us and the food was sub-par . Ill give it another try in the future as I'm sure this was a rare issue as compared to previous visits.

Molina's is a Houston institution. Located in Fulshear Molina's does it heritage right. The food is typical Mexican dishes. The margaritas are OK. The atmosphere is good. Lots of TVs if you want to sit at the bar, drink and snack. The service is always great. 👌

We had high expectations but unfortunately they fell short. The margaritas were missing tequila and the chicken enchiladas had no sauce in the middle. Service was amazing. It must have been an off day for them. I’ll try them again if I have a moment.
