"Celebrating 77 years as the self-identified oldest family-owned-and-operated Tex-Mex restaurant in Houston, Molina's Cantina will open a third location at 6300 FM 1463 near the soon-to-be-completed West Park Tollway in the Shoppes at Cross Creek, occupying a 5,800-square-foot corner space and seating about 220. I'm intrigued that the new spot — the first tenant to sign onto the Clinard Properties project after Molina’s bowed out of its Washington Avenue location in September 2017 — will feature a patio and breezeway to provide shade for al fresco dining. The menu will bring the same classic Tex-Mex and Mexican favorites (enchiladas, fajitas, tacos) along with their signature Jose’s Dip, margaritas and Mexican lagers, and third-generation owner Ricardo Molina said they’re excited to join the growing Fulshear–Katy community and hope to fill a void for full-service family restaurants; the restaurant anticipates a late 2019 opening." - Alaena Hostetter
