Lovely neighborhood spot. Excellent coq au vin and ratatouille. Don’t come for the steak frites, but this place does the other classics well. Cozy atmosphere, non-fussy, great for a night with friends. A touch understaffed on the bar (Melissa is amazing), but drinks great and food came out fast. Charles was our waiter, he was endlessly patient and friendly.

Great hang! The crepe menu here is really interesting and you can create your own crepes. The eggs benny were standard and coffee was nice. The ambiance is really what makes this place special tho. Super nice and warm vibes.

this place is an instant (& long-time) favorite. delicious authentic french cuisine in a cosy intimate atmosphere. reminiscent of genuine french cafes. recommend the boeuf bourguignon, potato au gratin, and the specials. the waiter is friendly and you’ll likely meet the chef.

Love the backyard in a summer time! Food is amazing! Oysters are must have! And pasta fruit del mare is my favorite!! And mussels were amazing! (Photo of the finished mussel dish 😁) I am glad I live near by so I will be coming back!

Had a fun little date night here. The whole place felt really homey, and I loved the decor. Service was super friendly, and made sure they could accommodate my peanut and cashew allergy. I tried ratatouille for the first time, and I loved it. Perfectly cooked salmon as well. Will be back!

We came here for Valentine’s dinner and everything was incredible. Oysters, beef bourguignon, but the real highlight was the Norwegian salmon with ratatouille. Great wine and cocktails and the service was wonderful. All around great meal—one of the best I’ve had in Bushwick! Can’t wait to come back from brunch sometime.

Used to come here years ago and finally moved back and was so happy to see that it’s as amazing as it ever was. Charlie the bartender was super friendly and sweet to me and my friends. And Emily our waitress was super attentive. Highly recommend.

The location of the restaurant is definitely in a very good place. The atmosphere is really great. I sat in the garden and it was very comfortable. Chill.. You are in a quiet garden in the center of the city. I ordered a hamburger. It was the worst hamburger I have ever eaten in New York. I mean, a hamburger you eat at McDonald's is probably much better. I had a bad experience in this regard as well. But it is definitely a place where you can come with your friends, have a drink and sit. The bar looks very strong but I haven't tried anything. I only had a bad experience with the food. But still Thanx ❤️‍🔥🤘🏻

The burger was nicely seasoned and the fries crispy. The omelet was stuffed and everything tasted well. Carafes of Bellinis were just $25. Nice brunch spot.

I really love this cozy, intimate restaurant. It may be small, but it delivers big on flavor. You have to start with the escargot--it's a must. The standout for me, though, is the duck confit. Lightly fried for perfectly crispy skin, with tender, fall-off-the-bone duck, served alongside chips--absolutely delicious! Finishing the night with the crème brûlée was the perfect touch.

These were some of the best oysters I've ever had, and the burger was truly unbelievable. Extremely high quality meat and I love that they served mayo and ketchup on the side so I could dress the burger to my personal taste. Top it off with an elite cocktail selection and we've got an immediate candidate for my favorite bar/restaurant in Bushwick. The service was also incredible -- I walked in drenched after a sudden downpour and both the bartender and my waiter offered me towels to dry myself off, which went a long way. Ambiance was also fantastic I can't recommend this place enough!!

It held such promise. Great vibe. But the food on a recent Sunday night was really below par. The cheese platter was the only item I could recommend. The burger was cooked wrong - served almost rare when asked for medium. When redelivered went to the wrong table. Obv. the wait therefore was even longer. The mussels were meh. The side dish of spinach again meh. And it's not cheap. Sorry.

Went here last night and the food was not good. My pasta dish looked old and was overly salty and did not taste like anything. I cook a lot and have worked in restaurants, so I know when pasta has been sitting out fully cooked for a long time. The place was empty but still the server forgot to bring my friend's bread. Idk guys what is happening here. Do you not want us to come back?

I just happen to be walking by and I see the $1 oyster happy hour sign I decided to give it a try as well as a cocktail I also purchased French fries which really went to waste I only needed 4 to be full and satisfied This is a cute nice place that I need to return to

We decided to visit this spot on a weekend morning for brunch. We walked in without a reservation and were able to find seating without any issue. I'd arrive coming during the less busy times because they could get packed pretty fast. We opted for the mimosa carafe and I got the house burger. Great service and good dishes made for an enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself is quaint and gives off Parisian Brasserie vibes with wood finishes and a high top bar. I'd definitely come back for brunch and other meals too.

Delicious meal! I don't have French food often and this place hit the spot. I absolutely loved the escargot! I never order escargot because I'm nervous to do so but at this place, it's worth it. They also have happy hour during the week, and it's a good deal. The service was great and the place is quaint and very romantic.

In the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn you'll find Mominette. It's a French Bistro with a vintage twist. The ambiance was dimly lit and comfortable with lots of natural light via brunch. I'd recommend the following - iced coffee with almond milk, Bloody Mary and Cucumber Cooler for cocktails, and the Mominette Burger. Do yourself a favor and add on extras for $2 each (it's worth every single penny). We added the goat cheese, egg, Gruyère, and jalapeños for an extra zest! Frances Rose the waitress was very attentive and the service was amazing! I wanted to give my sincere thanks to the gentleman who went out of his way to get me a to-go cup for my coffee. Hipster coffee is the best!!!

Back with another neighborhood joint! If you've read my last reviews, then you know I'm on a mission to explore all the food gems my hood has to offer. This week, I checked out Mominette for brunch with my big bro who was visiting this weekend. We arrived around 1pm on Sunday and we were seated out back within five minutes. We started with a Bellini carafe which was a pretty decent price but too much juice and not enough bubbly. For our meals, he had the Smoked Salmon Benedict and I went with the Steak and Eggs as it's one of the only gluten free options on the menu. Wish they had GF bread for the burger. Anywho, can't wait to stop by for the oyster happy hour and dinner!

What a pleasant surprise in the middle of Bushwick. The food, the drinks and the service weee excellent.

Outstanding French food, especially loved the escargot! Service is always outstanding when we dine here. All in all great food with a great atmosphere!!

First time visiting for brunch & can't believe I waited so long! The food was absolutely great! Everything we ordered was seasoned well & made to perfection. Chicken & waffles were a surprise hit! The steak & eggs is a great brunch stable. The home fries were delicious & a must have. Drinks were tasty as well & the service was great! A wonderfully neighborhood spot.

Came here for dinner before the Seven Sins show at Theather 14. Backyard is cute but the mosquitoes were having a field day on my leg by the fan; there's running water in the vines that's creating them. With that aside staff were nice and attentive. The food was ok. I ordered the Pàtes aux fruits de mer-seafood pasta. It needed some salt and pepper but not too bad. My friend had the Mominette burger and she said, it was good. I also had the Je M'apelle for drink and it was good. Not too far from the train about a good 2 -3 blocks. I also liked the variety or French music being played. I Def want to fo try the Charcuterie plate.

Mominette hosted my 20-person birthday party and they did a wonderful job. I do have to preface that getting ahold of the manager was difficult but not impossible (use email and follow up with a call). They carved out enough space for me in a section of their intimate restaurant. The waitstaff were able to keep things organized and the food/drinks flowing. Our party ordered a la carte, favorites include the escargot, salmon, lamb chops, and the espresso martini. We'll have to return to sit outside and try the oysters next time! Taste: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Dear Yelpers!! I was on an oyster kick for a while and decided to try a few places in Brooklyn and Queens. This place had great reviews but sadly the reviews didn't live up to my expectations. This felt more like a dive bar with added seating for a few choice food options rather than an oyster bar. The oysters were decent and some of the sides were ok. The seating was tight and chairs uncomfortable. Drinks are equivalent to a dive bar experience and the neighborhood felt a little unsafe. If you're chill laid back and looking for a bite to eat with friends then go for it but otherwise I would not come back, especially not for a date night or to impress anyone. 4 out of 10 Don't Recommend

Friday night dinner for 2. This place is so cozy, vintage yet modern and so French. It was our second time here for dinner and we sat in the same corner by the window. It wasn't too busy at 6:45pm but definitely filled up closer to 8pm. This place has a top-notch onion soup - must order. We usually share so we aren't too filled before our entrees. We also shared the rack of lamb and the steak frites. Yum.. we finished every last bite on our plates!! Last time, we also got the rack of lamb and the duck confit, which I remember devouring as well. Get the creme brûlée -- they do it so well!! Think we have found "our spot" in bushwick.

Had an amazing experience here last weekend! We were greeted at our table by the most wonderful server ever, Francis! He really made our night with amazing service, always responding so quickly to whatever we asked of him and providing a warm and bubbly attitude! Food was also excellent too, would definitely be back!!

I came here for brunch. I recommend sitting outside if you can since its lovely. The service was pretty regular but the wait staff is good. We got the coffee- sort of ok- and then the pancake, the ratatouille omlette and the burger. I highly recommend the pancake, it has a cake consistency and comes with a delicious strawberry butter. I also loved my burger, it was one of the better ones Ive had from a preparation standpoint, I got it with the blue cheese. The ratatouille omlette wasnt really a stand out but it was good. The space outdoors is lots of little cafe tables and chairs, it has a roof on top in case it rains and has one big group table for shares and large parties. I think I will be back for dinner

We really wanted to like this place since it's one of the top rated places in Bushwick, but unfortunately we didn't enjoy it as much as we would've liked. We went for an early dinner around 4 on a Sunday and they were quick to seat us. We had the choice to sit inside or in their beautiful backyard patio. We chose to sit inside due to the heat. We ordered their special of the day which was baked Camembert. This was the best dish we had. My boyfriend got the oysters, which he wasn't overly impressed by. Our artichoke, gnocchi and tuna tartare was mediocre. The lobster bisque was decent, but not great. Overall, we spent a lot of money on food that wasn't high quality. The service was great and the reason for an extra star.

I came for brunch on a Sunday around 11. We just walked in and were able to be seated immediately. There's outdoor garden seating but I went on a rainy day so we sat inside. I really enjoyed their Croque Madame. It was a little heavy but it was great hangover food! I definitely want to come back and try their lunch/dinner as well.

This place is perfect for oysters & happy hour! It starts at 6 pm or so. Me and a friend went through 3-4 dozen oysters and could've ordered more. It was very fresh and we had west coast as well as east coast. We ordered French onion soup, escargot and salmon tartare. The escargot was exceptional, very flavorful. Salmon tartare was good. I was a bit disappointed with the French onion soup. I think it's the bread that was used. It was on the bitter side. The hit for the night was the cocktails. I ordered the " Le Cucumber D' Amour. This drink is 10/10 all around. I'm a sucker for a well crafted cocktail so would definitely come back for this.

Great place in heart of Bushwick. Food was ok. Wait for food is long. Price point are high for the quality of fare. Food: Madame Croquet was not good. Ham was dry. Mimosa was watered down. Ambiance: nice backyard space to eat in. It is dog friendly and the the waiters are nice.

This was my second time at Mominette and I'll be back! A cozy neighborhood gem with a cute back patio eating area as well. Most tables were full when so arrived for a solo brunch and was immediately seated by kind staff. I tired the specialty cocktail (Leo Lavender Sprtiz) which smelled lovely from the sprinkle of dried lavender on top. The omelette was filling and quickly prepared. I also saw signs for a weekday happy hour with $1 oysters so that will definitely be worth a try!

Appetizers: French onion soup. Blue point oysters. Very fresh oysters. Sweet. French fries. Crispy. Lovely and enjoyable. Entrees: Duck special with asparagus. Mixed seafood with cheese sauce and toast. Desserts: Chocolate mousse. Yummy and light (in a good way). Not overly sweet. Creme brulee. Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Atmosphere: Nice. Clean. Cozy. Service: Friendly. Knowledgeable. Attentive. Thank you, Mominette, for a lovely meal. Thank you, Miguel, for very friendly hospitality. We'll be back. =)

Located in Bushwick, it doesn't look like much from the front door but once you make your way in, you're transported to a French cafe and all is right with the world. The staff and servers are friendly and hip and they help you find a seat and menu quickly! The place is buzzing with friends, lovers, loners and everyone in between. It almost feels like someone famous may walk in. I sat at the bar and ordered a lemony vodka drink that the girls next to me were raving about. They were right. It was refreshing and perfect for brunch. I also took their advice and had the French toast over my usual salmon Benedict. I was not disappointed. Moist, fluffy, eggy and made with a buttery brioche. Yummo! I just had to have eggs and bacon to round out the goodness. A Sunday we'll spent.

My go to spot for brunch! The steak and eggs are always delicious, and cooked perfectly. Never had a bad meal here, and the menu for brunch is extensive. Will definitely try to check them out for dinner!

French bistro and oyster bar, in the best area of Bushwick. Mominette offers an extensive weekend brunch, but also has a daily lunch menu with plenty of egg options to satisfy your weekday brunch cravings. The interior is charming shabby chic, with a beautiful well stocked bar. They do not have an espresso machine, but their Cold Brew was really good. The Bloody Mary was strong, but lacking in flavor. There were also whole peppercorns in it, which made for a few very unpleasant sips. I would try another drink next time-their cocktail list looks awesome. The Eggs Florentine was fantastic aside from the overcooked egg, which was closer to hard boiled than poached. The English muffin was fresh and fluffy, topped with flavorful sautéed spinach and a delicious hollandaise. If the egg was cooked properly, this dish would be a 10/10. Overall, a great neighborhood spot.

Absolutely loved this place. They have outside seating in front of the establishment and in the back. I prefer the back such a nice garden feel in the back. Here is what I ordered and loved it. Avocado toast : comes with a garden vegan salad -yum! And Avocado spread I added a egg on top. Check this place out

Atmosphere was pleasant and inviting Staff seemed like they actually liked being there (that's a rarity today) they were very polite and respectful and genuinely wanted to make your experience great. Music was calming and perfect for a Sunday brunch. Highly Recommend

I was visiting from california and just stumbled by this super cute restaurant and got AMAZING AND PERSONAL service by a very kind girl named francis! definitely coming back! Great crème Brulé!

Been dining here for 3 years! Food never disappoints - definitely sit in the back garden if weather permits!

A little late on my review but... my husband and I went to Mominette to celebrate Bastille day. Weather was nice so we opted for an outside option. Once our food started arriving , our appetizer was placed/taken to the wrong table 3x. Given all the infectious diseases going around, I definitely did not like my food being placed on someone else's table. The guy on the table next to us made a comment to the server about needing to get their tables correct as he had also gotten the wrong food. Our main dish was sent only o the incorrect table once, then he took it back in side and then came to us. As we were eating, a rat started roaming the tables around the empty area. I understand there is a pretty bad rat situation everywhere so we were like "okay, as long as it stays on the other side, away from us we are cool." The server (different than previous ones) saw me seeing the rat and tried to get it to go away discretely. Did not say anything to anyone still eating. A few minutes later the rat came back out and got close to several tables with people. At that point, we asked for our check and went inside to pay as the rat was way too close to comfort. Once inside, we waited for our check, the bartender asked what we needed and we expressed waiting for the check inside as there was a rat outside. Her response was to continue to talk about rats with us explaining that they had taken down the shed in the front as it had a rat infestation and that they were going to start work in the backyard. She then continued to talk about how she was walking on the street and multiple rats went over her feet. It was a terrible dining experience and at no point did anyone in the staff apologize for the rat situation in their backyard. Not even an acknowledgement from the server that he had seen the rat too. Then to be told that they knew about the rat problem and didn't close the backyard!? And cherry on top, let's talk about rats for 10 mins? It was all way too much. In regards to the food, the drinks were truly amazing, app was decent, mussels' sauce was very sweet not particularly my taste, the duck was very good. Did not get to dessert per above. For how expensive it was it truly frustrated me the lack of acknowledgement, idk give us a free drink for our troubles? Take off something of the bill? Apologize? Idk? Something? It's annoying because we used to love this place. We even celebrated our anniversary there 2 years ago! Ugh. Do better please.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for brunch, service was great with being seated right away and orders taken. Food selection for brunch was cute. Ordered eggs Benny, eggs parm, and Mac and cheese. Food presentation was nice, however the food lacked seasoning. The eggs Benny my eggs were over poached almost hard boiled egg like and the sauce needed a bit more seasoning to hold it together. The eggs parm was very fresh however it was bland in the seasoning. The Mac and cheese was very cheesy but again very bland, they needed to place seasoning in the sauce it just tasted like pasta and cheese thrown together. Overall nice atmosphere for a quick brunch.

Very nice place! I've been here a few times for lunch and for drinks but both times I've had a unpleasant experience, today I was trying to get lunch with two more friends and The server was a little bit rude. I really understand that he was alone but it wasn't busy at all, I'm a server myself and being the only server in the floor doesn't excuse the fact that he was rude when we put the order for take out. I'm not coming back again!!!

Lovely French bistro in Bushwick Brooklyn Small, chic & cozy Delicious & tasty food and drinks Prices are normal for NY nothing new. There are some expensive dishes and of course cheaper ones as well depends on what you're in the mood for. Easy to get to Parking in the area can be tricky depending on the day and time of course. Service was smooth and accommodating our server was knowledgeable and sweet. His recommendations were great. Definitely make a reservation because it fills up quickly especially because they have $1 oysters. The garden in the rear of the restaurant is beautiful it adds more flare to the bistro. Our favorite dishes were the skate, the baked salmon and the chocolate cake dessert. These are a must try. Two suggestions we can make are to please add foie gras and truffle fries to the menu. Other than that we will be coming back for more soon.

Thoroughly enjoyed my evening here! Cute date spot not too far from Maria Hernandez Park so you can have some drinks, some delicious food, and a little stroll in the park! Drinks wise, I had Andre's French Kiss and my partner got the Thyme's D'ete. Both were excellently crafted and absolutely delicious. The server was attentive and very nice which really added the experience. My partner got the Duck Confit and I have the Coque Au Vaut (?) casserole. Both were truly excellent and just simply deliciously executed French food. The small menu really gave me confidence that whatever we ordered was going to be absolute fire. I would absolutely come back for brunch and would definitely come back for a nice romantic dinner!

This is my go to seafood restaurant in the area. They have $1 oysters all day and it's pretty fresh too. Aside from the $1 oysters, they offer different kinds of oysters as well if you want a selection Ordered a veggie burger for lunch and boy was it delicious! It was perfectly prepared and very savory! Also ordered a watercress soup which sounded awkward at first but I'm glad I ordered it. It was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving $1 oysters or for a good bite.

Ate brunch here with some friends. Great atmosphere and classic brunch food. I enjoyed the french toast a lot, and the croissant was delicious too. I would definitely come again!
