"Planned to open this spring inside the Detroit Shipping Company food hall, Momo Cha will serve Nepalese dumplings (momos) and snacks led by Chef Anjani Lama, who has 25 years of experience cooking Nepalese and Indian food. The draft menu offers choice of protein (Chicken / Pork / Veg), preparation (Steamed / Pan-fried / Deep-Fried), and chutney (Tomato Cilantro / Roasted Soybean and Sesame / Mint Cilantro), with snack size (4 momos: $5 meat / $4.50 veg) and meal size (8 momos: $9 meat / $8 veg). Snacks listed include Chicken Choila served with crunchy rice and fresh veggies ($8), French Fry Chaat ($6), and Seasonal Mixed Veg ($5); larger plates include Dal Bhat (Veg Curry $10 / Meat Curry $12) and Sekuwa (2 skewers served with veggies and crunchy rice, $11). First time trying nepalese foods and we LOVE it so much! We ordered Momo with chilli sauce, fried Momo with breadcrumbs, chowmien and thukpa. All were delicious but our favourites are thukpa and momo with chilli sauce.

Amazing food and amazing service! The dishes were delicious, full of flavors and fresh ingredients. Thanks to the owners for making me feel so welcomed. Went there twice and will come back for sure! :))

I have mixed feelings. The soup with dumplings was really balanced in taste and the staff will ask you in a friendly way what level of spiciness you want = approach and food excellent....but the environment and toilets 😔.... I feel more like an office here than a restaurant, sometimes it would be nice to check the toilet to see if it is clean. (dirty mirror, toilet after the previous customer).. such small details can ruin a lot of the overall impression. So next time just pick up your food and leave. + it would be nice to serve a teaspoon with tea. But really nice idea, food and service.

Never tried Nepalese food before and this was one of the most tasty dishes I have eaten. The service and atmosphere was welcoming and very pleasant. My boyfriend and I also received the local tea on the house. I highly recommend this restaurant!
