The Best Food Trucks In Seattle

"Parked directly next to El Chapulin is Momo King—making it a great two-for-one experience. This polished black truck makes delicious and plump momos, whether they’re deep-fried until golden brown with an extra crackly shell or steamed and hidden under a thick butter chicken gravy. Hang out on the small shared patio here with people that hopefully had the same genius idea to take advantage of both trucks in one sitting." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

Momo King Review - Capitol Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Parked in the old parking lot of a now-closed dry cleaners on Capitol Hill this polished black Nepalese food truck makes delicious momos. Whether they’re deep-fried until golden brown with an extra crackly shell or steamed and hidden under a thick butter chicken gravy the plump filling inside never looses it's juiciness. And while you're here, hang out on the small colorful patio they share with El Chapulin Oaxaqueno." - Kayla Sager-Riley

The butter momo (think butter chicken) and Coco momo (coconut curry sauce) and even the humble Chili momo: all were absolutely exceptional! The chicken momos are very moist and delicious and good on their own, which I don't usually say about dumplings! I've been eyeballing this place for months, SO glad I finally stopped in! The "butter(chicken)" and coconut curry sauces are a little on the sweet side, and aren't detectably spicy. Insanely good!

We stopped by on a weekend during a bike trip and got the Chicken Steam momo and the Chilli Pork momo. Both were delicious! There’s a small sheltered seating area which wasn’t crowded since most people seemed to be getting delivery or takeout. The dishes were made fresh so it was steaming warm. The portions were quite generous but we somehow finished it all. I really liked the chilli one but it’s a little sweet so having the steamed one to balance it out was great. The filling was also quite generous unlike some other places that just have a thick dough. I’d definitely come back again and try the soup and butter flavours as well!

My favorite momos in Seattle! Pro tip for momos: eat there and don't do takeout.. it's not the same. It's a food truck with limited space, but the amazing food more than makes up for it!

This is the flavor our majestic mountainous Northwest deserves—and what Jackson Hole has been missing (but hopefully not for too long). As someone who deeply respects Nepal’s history and believes in democratic values, I don’t use the word “king” lightly. And when a place chooses to carry that name, you expect them to live up to it. Momo King does exactly that. These momos? Unapologetically Nepali. The texture, the spices, the soul—it’s all there. Every bite brought me back home. The variety of chutneys hit just right, and the jhol (soup) was rich, comforting, and legit. This is not a watered-down imitation—it’s authentic flavor done with love. Seattle is lucky to have Momo King, and I truly hope this kind of quality makes its way to Jackson Hole soon. This is what the Northwest mountains are meant to taste like. Thank you @momoking1 for bringing that heat, heart, and heritage to the table.

I tried the Butter Chicken Momos here. These came in a group of 10, with a ton of the buttery sauce around it On the sauce - I did like the amount of it, but the flavor was slightly lacking. The bowl had a ton of the sauce present - such that each of the individual dumplings was covered in it. It also had a pretty good thickness as well. My issue with it though was the flavor was just really mild. It had a hint of butter and a little bit of tomato, but the overall flavor didn't really come through in the dish as much as I was looking for also the cilantro was straight up missing, which was weird The dumplings itself were decent enough. The outside absorbed the sauces well, and had good texture to it. The chicken on the inside was pretty mushy, but I thought it was relatively average. If I had to guess, the steamed dumplings would be a good amount better. I tried one of the chili chicken dumplings and it tasted a lot better than the butter chicken ones The portion size is pretty good here. Each momo is quite large, meaning that 10 of them is a good amount - for the roughly $15 that this dish costs Overall, I do think this place does pretty good momos, but the butter-based sauce was a miss in my opinion. 7/10

Abso-Freakin'-Lootley-!!! If your thinking about it...DONT! Just go... Absolutely Stellar little food truck food. Very quiet yet kind staff. Food came out temperature hot, fresh, nice heat for both of us (one likes & ones more sensitive). I will be back, for sure!

I recently visited the Momo King food truck, and the food was absolutely delicious! The momos were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and some of the best I've had. The service was great too—quick and friendly. The guy working there was super nice and made the experience even better. Highly recommend checking them out!

Yelp
Delicious momos (dumplings.) Try the Masala one, it's a heavenly chicken tikka masala flavor with perfect dumplings-- best of both worlds. Great service, too.

Yelp
Fantastic new momo spot in Seattle! My family and I used to go all the way to Tacoma because it was so good but we're so happy it's close in the city now. We got steamed chicken momo and it was delicious! The staff were friendly and the food didn't take longer than 10 minutes to be ready. The sauce achar was very good as well.

Yelp
This place is truly amazing! The food was incredible, and unfortunately we WAY over-ordered as portion sizes were bigger than expected. The momos were so incredibly flavorful, this has become one of our new favorite spots. A must try for sure.
