The menu features a variety of ramen styles, including tonkotsu, creamy chicken broth, vegan spicy miso, and spicy tan-tan. The menu also includes kushiyaki, bar snacks, entrees like pan-fried pork gyoza, soft shell bao, hamachi tacos, roasted half Peking duck, and A5 wagyu. Alcoholic beverages such as sake and beer are available. Currently open from 4 to 10 p.m. Thursday through Monday, walk-ins only. Future plans include a takeout sushi counter, lunch service, and reservations." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

"For ramen and more from an Iron Chef Like Apizza (see above), Momosan Ramen Boston will open at the Hub on Causeway’s food hall, Hub Hall, this spring. Unlike Apizza and the rest of the Hub Hall vendors, Momosan will be a full-service, standalone restaurant. The restaurant comes from restaurateur Masaharu Morimoto, who is best known from Iron Chef on television, and it has sister locations in New York, Seattle, and Waikiki. Along with ramen, Momosan will also serve a variety of Japanese bar snacks, grilled dishes, sushi, sake, and more. Early April 2020" - Rachel Leah Blumenthal, Terrence Doyle

After checking their website, I decided to investigate since it said they had great ramen 🍜. Everybody Loves Ramen! They were able to squeeze me in at the bar 🍺. I had the Tokyo 🗼 Chicken 🐔 Ramen and it was delicious! The ramen was tender as was the chicken 🐔 and mushrooms. Service was slow but the restaurant was very busy. My server was very friendly. Food prices are reasonable. $6! for a ginger beer is ridiculous. I am going to recommend this restaurant but plan on spending some time here during a Saturday night 🌃 or a game night.

When I read a few very negative reviews on Google, I should have trusted them. But I was staying at a nearby hotel and it was just right there so I visited for lunch. As a fan of his cookbook and iron chef days, I’m sad to say it was rather disappointing. I ordered spicy wontons, tonkotsu ramen, and dan-dan ramen, and the overall experience was a rather disappointing one. It made me wonder if Morimoto himself knows what’s going on at his restaurant..! I am a picky eater and I care for my food a lot, but I have rarely sent my food back to the kitchen. But the tonkotsu ramen here was one that I just could not eat for more than two bites and had to send back. As one of the reviewers said, it had a thick layer of oil on top of the broth. Tonkotsu ramen can be really rich and slightly oily, but not like this. The fat has to be incorporated in the broth (and in some of the review photos, the broth looks more proper). But in the bowl I had, there was a thick layer of oil that was inedible. And the broth underneath lacked flavor. The charshu was too thin, too fat, and too sweet. (More like shaved samgyoepsal, rather than the thick and juicy slice of pork that you should get on top of any tonkotsu ramen) I didn’t like the thick, wavy noodles, either. The mustard green really didn’t go well with anything else in the bowl, and there was too much of it. When I told my server that I could not eat it because it was too oily for me, she was gracious enough to offer me another dish. I got the dan-dan ramen as it doesn’t have the broth. In another review, someone said how the pork topping on Dan-Dan ramen was cold. Some of the ground pork topping on my bowl was indeed cold. I assume they cook a large batch and keep it in the fridge/ warm it up to serve. But this is really unacceptable even at much lesser, cheaper places. The chili oil in this dish was good, but it was the same chili oil that was poured over on the chili wonton. For $16, it was very underwhelming. The chili oil wontons were $14. And they seemed like frozen wontons warmed up with pre-made chili oil (which is available on every table) poured over. There were some garlic flakes and green onions, but nothing else. Not even an attempt at making the sauce that should be mixed with the chili oil. Everything I had felt like a result of a very lazy way of running a restaurant with a famous chef's name attached to it. Everything tasted and felt like warmed up pre-cooked/ frozen food. I have been to many ramen and Japanese restaurants in this country (and in big cities in Asia and Europe), and this one was definitely on a disappointing side. Not the worst food, but definitely one of the really bad ramens and underwhelming flavors in the other two dishes. The atmosphere is nice, and it has outdoor seating with big tables. It also has a pretty long drink menu, which people might like. It serves as a good hang out spot before and after the basketball games. It might serve a certain kind of clientele very well. If you want to try something here because you like Morimoto as a food celebrity or if you want a good bowl of ramen, I would not recommend this place.

2nd visit to Momosan and really enjoyed our dishes, especially the hot oil fish carpaccio. Only thing I would suggest is to put some of the Mountain yellow hot sauce on it which made it even better. Duck tacos were tasty though a bit small. Soft shell crab bao was also tasty. My friend ordered the duck fat fries which were nice and crunchy. Next time, I will order ramen to try which would be more substantial. Margaritas were good but small and seemed lacking in tequila. Love that I can go here before a game or concert. Not sure why average reviews given here. It's better than average especially for a food hall.

6/15 Saturday. 1:50pm. Female server. Terrible service for our party or 4. Constantly rushing us during the whole meal. I asked “what’s with the rush?” We were clearly still putting the food in our mouth. I had enough of this server towards the end. We just stopped eating, and asked for check and to-go boxes. Server replied: “Sorry I have to pre-bus.” God damn she hates her job so much. Bill came to $94. We still tipped 15%. Hospitality service is not her thing. She needs to go. Side note, food were decent.

This place was okay to me. Drinks were better than food. A good option for convenience if you’re around the area for a game or concert. Overall, wasn’t terrible, but not excellent enough for me to try again.

Google
It is quite boring normal ramen i probably wouldn't recommend to my friend. I ordered spicy tonkatsu ramen, the pork is done different compare to other Japanese ramen restaurant. it is a large thick pork meat, i didn't enjoy. Looking the same to my friend's order. The environment is good.

Google
This is only a review of their takeout/togo location within hub hall, not the sitdown restaurant. Maybe it was the selection that we chose for our order but the items didn't really meet or surpass the expectations that we had. We had the chicken karage and fries. Overall, it wasn't anything special. Chicken Karage was actually very dry, which was unfortunate. However, I would definitely come back to try to sit down restaurant as that seems to be a lot more popular and seems to be a lot more fresh and complex as well.

Popped in for a quick lunch and had a great experience with my order. Having been in Japan recently, I can say that the Tonkotsu (even though I almost went for the Tsukemen) was on par with my recent experiences! Wish I had had the appetite to try more of the menu but that’s what next time’s for.

Yelp
Initially I had gotten Momosan Morimoto confused with the sushi restaurant "Morimoto", but I learned that Momosan Morimoto offers ramen, nonetheless, this spot inside TD Garden's Hub Hall did not disappoint! We started off with the signature sticky ribs. They had great flavor. One thing I would have liked was if the ribs had arrived hotter, as they were already warm-ish cold when it was served to our table. I got the spicy tan-tan ramen and I loved it. It was delicious! The flavors for it meshed very well. The spicy dandan brothless ramen was also amazing. I would definitely come again !

Yelp
A bit disappointed in this place - I used to love watching Iron Chef back in the day and Morimoto was always my favorite on the iron chef side. Sadly, this restaurant was not anything near my expectations. The price was high and the food was pretty average, but the staff was nice and the actual restaurant itself felt clean and modern. I ended up ordering the Tsukemen, which is one of my favorite types of ramen: Tsukemen ($17) - Normally, I LOVE Tsukemen - if you've never had it before, it's basically a bowl of dry noodles with meat and other toppings accompanied by a bowl of thick and salty broth. The idea is that you dip the noodles in the broth right before eating them, but you don't really let them sit in it for a long time. I normally love this kind of ramen because it keeps the noodles nice and bouncy and I can regulate how strong the taste of the broth is by dipping the noodles a little instead of fully submerging them. However, at Momosan Morimoto, the broth was very thin and not salty at all. It practically tasted like a normal ramen broth that you might pick up and drink, which meant that dipping the noodles didn't really give it enough of that kick in flavor. The actual toppings (meat, veg, egg) were really good, but it was extremely disappointing as a dipping ramen. I've had a few in other restaurants in Japan as well as some instant Tsukemen from a Japanese market and every time the broth is thick and salty, so I was surprised that this one was thin and very much like a normal ramen broth. On top of that, $17 for the bowl seemed a bit steep - I think there are a lot of other great spots that you can find ramen in the $14 or $15 range. All in all, the staff and ambiance was great at this restaurant, but the dish I ordered fell a bit flat. I would have liked the broth to be thicker, saltier, and less like a normal ramen if it is being called Tsukemen. I'm not an expert, but this was the first time I ordered this dish and had it prepared this way - it seemed like it would be better served as a regular bowl of ramen with the noodles in the broth instead of separated. That plus the high price point mean that Momosan Morimoto get a 3/5, and I likely will not return.

Yelp
We stumbled into this place on a whim. Starving and waiting for a train, we wanted to sit somewhere away from the crowd. It is far enough away that I assume it's never as busy as the other places there. The ramen was so hot and comforting after a long day of partying. And the soft shell crab bao appetizer was yummy, but since we shared I didn't get enough of it, wish we ordered two. Def recommend if you like Raman and you happen to be in North Station.

Yelp
Cute little ramen place at the Hub Hall, I did read about the service being lousy and I kinda agree to it a bit. We sat at the table and the server took a good 30 mins to come and ask us if we are ready! We asked for spicy vegan broth ramen with glazed tofu however we requested if shrimp can be added to it. She straight up said no, and they didn't have any other seafood option. We requested she asks the chef and then let us know. It was nice of her that she went ahead and asked and the chef agreed to add shrimp to our ramen. The ramen was good and filling. We also tried the popcorn shrimp which were good too!

Yelp
Overpriced for what you get, Saketini looked and tasted like margarita. Ramen was mediocre. Not worth the hype.

Yelp
Came to Momosan Boston during lunch on the weekend. Momosan Boston is located in Hub Hall, the upscale food court in North Station. Due to its location near TD Garden and the train station, the restaurant is surrounded by the hustle and bustle of sports fans, concert-goers, and commuters. It's a great spot to go to if you're looking for a meal right before a show or before catching a train. It wasn't too busy, so we got seated fairly quickly. The staff were friendly but it did take a minute to grab someone's attention for the check when we were wrapping up our meal. Between the two of us, we shared the Tsukemen (dipping noodles), Soft Shell Crab Roll, and Popcorn Shrimp. The Popcorn Shrimp was battered with tempura and coated in a gochujang aioli. The gochujang aioli was a bit too much for me since it was a little too salty and since there was so much sauce, if we didn't eat it right away, it became soggy. I think having the aioli on the side instead would've been awesome! The Soft Shell Crab was tasty and had tons of crispy crab that was fried. The roll was gigantic, yet I still found myself wanting more! There was asparagus in the roll, which I wasn't a huge fan of. I did enjoy the unagi sauce drizzled on top of it. Last, the Tsukemen was the star of the show. Their tsukemen comes with tonkotsu broth, ajitama, chashu pork, menma, and of course the noodles you dip the broth into. The tonkotsu broth was super flavorful and rich. It was the perfect pairing for the noodles. The chashu pork was also so tender and tasty. I would consider coming here again, but only if I was nearby since the food is expensive. Although the meal overall was tasty, it wasn't a place I would go out of my way to visit (especially because there is no parking).

Yelp
Service is on point! The staff is attentive and friendly to interact with. The rice dish was good, your typical salmon and rice bowl. The ramen was not as tasty as I'm used to. I found the broth kinda bland and the noodles could be firmer, especially for $23.

Yelp
Came here for dinner around 7-8 and the place wasn't too busy on a weeknight - I'd expect it'd be busier closer to game end/start times or weekends in general. The service was all right and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Water wasn't refilled too attentively though despite the space not being that busy which was a bit disappointing. The ramen and apps were all right - nothing amazing, but not too bad nonetheless. I enjoyed the brussels sprouts and the portion there wasn't bad. The soup for the ramen came out lukewarm which was a little disappointing though and the prices were quite high, however the location explains that as this is right by TD Garden. Overall, I don't think I would be rushing to come back, but I wouldn't mind it if another person wanted to come.

Yelp
Very Tasty! We ordered the -pork belly bao: very generous thick piece of meat. Presentation was a bit sloppy.. I had to fix it for the photo. -soft shelled crab bao: crispy crab, bit of sourness from the pickle and spicy mayo. -tonkotsu ramen: The broth was so rich and delicious. My only complaint was that the pork belly slice on top was very fatty, 80% fat 20% meat. I would've preferred the regular thick cut of pork belly on top because I felt a bit sick after eating that much fat from the slice. It looked very beautiful but when eating it, was a bit too much. They also added pickled greens to it which I wasn't a huge fan of. -duck fat fries: nothing special but if you pair it with the garlic pepper on the table, definitely elevates it!

Pepper L.

Yelp
I was really impressed with the food here, the sushi rice was the best I've ever tasted and I've eaten a lot of Japanese food. We had roasted brussel sprouts in soy sauce with parmesan cheese, an odd combination that works, soft shell crab bao buns, salmon poke bowl, spicy yellowtail roll --very spicy, and shrimp tempura roll with cucumber and avocado. Everything was fresh and delicious. They also serve ramen and have cocktails. Would definitely return if in the area.

Yelp
Ona Sunday evening, I decided to try Momosan. Arriving at 530, received seating immediately and elected for a spot at the bar counter rather than a table. My order consisted of chicken karaage ($12) and tsukemen ($17) The tsukemen, as described by the menu, consisted of dipping noodle dish with tonkotsu broth, ajitama (marinated soft boiled egg), chashu pork, and menma. This proved quite disappointing on multiple dimensions. Firstly, the dipping sauce itself has a watery consistency. It was essentially the broth used in tonkotsu ramen, but made slightly saltier. Tsukemen dipping sauce is supposed to be thick enough to coat the noodle. Instead, I had to use a spoon to get some of the "dipping sauce". This defeats the entire raisin d'etre of tsukemen. Secondly, the ingredients arrived with varying temperatures. The bamboo shoots, picked vegetables, and noodles arrived just above refrigerator cold. Why is this a problem? Imagine getting a bowl of ramen where some things are cold. It saps heat from the broth. Imagine a much smaller heat reservoir. Now the tsukemen is not just like a bowl of ramen because of the watery dipping sauce, it's now lukewarm. Even if this dish had some identity crisis with ramen, it should be hot. This is not supposed to resemble cold zaru soba or hiyashi chuka soba. Less egregiously, the ajitamago seemed well-marinated, though whoever cut the egg in half should be fired for mangling cutting an egg. The noodles are chewy at least, looks like they came from sun noodle (a decent supplier). The "chashu" was a sad looking piece of pork belly, unrolled, that looked like leftover supermarket bacon. To summarize, the tsukemen disappointed utterly. However, the karaage fared much better. Described in the menu as Japanese-style fried chicken with spicy garlic soy, it was just that. Piping hot, savory, salty, juicy, and unapologetically garlicky, it proved addictive. The appetizer and entree lie on two extremes - one well executed, the other poorly so. I thought perhaps this place would be the one to carry tsukemen into Boston. Clearly, I thought wrong.

Yelp
I finally got to Iron Chef Morimoto's restaurant and try out his ramen! It was a rainy Sunday night but I scored free street parking and avoided paying a $20+ parking fee. More money for food! The decor of the restaurant was modern Japanese, with its simple lines and the tables were provided with an assortment of sauces to tickle your senses. The window seat was bright and airy. Note, upon entering, you agree to have any pictures of yourself to be used by the restaurant. The popcorn shrimp was fun to eat. The batter was light and crunchy to reveal a delicate shrimp inside. It was doused in a fun mildly spicy, gochujang aioli. The wontons were decent but the sesame chili oil sauce was good. I was expecting the wontons to be laid out flat and more delicate. But I came for the ramen and ordered the Tonkatsu and presentation was amazing! Their long strips of pork were coated with a a sauce that was then brushed giving it a striated look. The broth was rich and mild. The ramen itself was a curly yellow ramen that had good bite. I was still hungry even after all of this so I ordered one pork belly bao and it looked beautiful! There was no skimping on the pork belly in the soft warm bao. Needless to say, it was delicious and it was eaten in three bites. The manager, a woman with a friendly attitude came by and we talked about the Boston Ramen Crawl from this past December. I had told her that I finished eating at all 8 ramen shops and she said she'd do it next year. I'll be looking forward to that. If you want to enjoy a quiet dinner, don't go when there is a game/event going on at TD Garden.

Janelly T.

Yelp
Ok I was visiting Boston for two days with my husband. I came by for a beer and a snack and loved every bite. The vibe is awesome. The restaurant is in a courtyard opened are to other businesses so it's pretty opened and loud. Service was great. Waitress kept up with our table while the restaurant was packed. The manager also came by often cleaning up areas. We had the very crispy chicken and shrimp tempura sushi. It all was so great I came back the next day.

Yelp
Momosan's Boston location at North Station was a convenient spot for my partner and I to recently grab some food. We needed vegan options and there weren't a ton in the immediate area. Fortunately, Momosan's vegan ramen is tasty, well-sized, and perfect for a cold day. We also enjoyed the vegetable sushi roll. Going on an afternoon, there was plenty of space (though they do take reservations.) Service was prompt all the way through ordering, to serving, and ending with the check. Recommend for meals with friends (perhaps before a game) or a work lunch.

Ian D.

Yelp
Food service was swift and portions were plentiful. Ramen was flavorful but the additions to the broth almost overshadowed the essence of the meal. All in all a solid outing and one I would suggest for anyone who enjoys Morimoto and his brand.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
This was probably one of the worst ramen spots I ever went too. Definitely in the top 5 worst ramen places I ate at. The service was fine/ehh. My boyfriend ramen came out 10 mins before mine. I would hope that ramen would come out at the same time since it was both of us at a table. The ramen lacked overall flavor. I disliked my ramen so much that I only ate 1/5 of my bowl and did not take it home as left overs. The Peking Duck was a specialty that claims to start at 5pm. I got there at 5:15pm and they didn't have the pico de galio that goes on top of the peking duck. The Duck Fat Fries were probably the best thing there. The popcorn chicken tasted like there was to much mayo and was over powering. In terms of ambience, the place was loud since it's located in a food district. If you want ramen, this is not the place to go too. If you want to eat around and go to bars. this is the spot. And if you're drunk after big night live or after a game at TD, stop by then. it's still not that special.

Jessica T.

Yelp
We stated up stairs at the CitizenM and stopped on for apps and drinks. The sushi was great and drinks were tasty. Thr menu looked great and would be back again for a full meal

Tulan K.

Yelp
WE have been to this place twice now. Located in the Hub hall right inside the TD garden it has a good vibe to it. The food is good. Chicken Wontons in that chili garlic oil is amazing and so is the Spicy vegan ramen with some extra toppings of mushrooms , bamboo shoots etc. WE also tried the friend chicken and it could be better if they gave smaller piece than large greasy mess. Not a big fan. Duck fries are really nice and so are the crispy Brussel sprouts. The drinks are good and pricey and really very small quantity iced up. That is the issue is the pricing is already up there and then the quantity of drinks are so small and also for ramen they only put couple toppings on it so you have to pay for extra which should already be on it. Taste wise it is good and if you can afford about $50 a person little extra give or take with tips then knock yourself off

Melba M.

Yelp
Casual ambiance. Lots of seating area. Food was good but service not so much. We came about an hour before closing time. I felt like we were not welcomed. I understand that this is not a fancy place but I just really felt the service could use some work. A smile from anyone would be a nice addition.

Mona N.

Yelp
Lots of potential, beautiful plating, mediocre food. My family and I had reservations on a Sunday afternoon and were hoping for a wonderful experience. The service was not great - the server seemed uninterested and inattentive - we had to flag her down every time. The space was mostly empty and we asked to be moved away from the drafty doors to a warmer section of the restaurant. We were moved but it was as if we were making an unreasonable request. We ordered a few appetizers and two entrees and my entree- Dan Dan noodles had a scoop of cold pork on top. It had no trace of being spicy or the promised Schzechuan tingle. Most of the food came to the table at a room temperature except the fries (which were outstanding). The Yuzu margarita was pretty good though I would likely choose something different next time. Might try again after 5 to see if the Peking Duck changes my feeling about what was overall not an impressive experience. Gorgeous plating, I wish the flavor was there to match. .

Yelp
waiiiitt.....why is this place not hyped up more? This cute little ramen spot has great service, great vibes, and delicious rich broth! Thick, juicy, and fall apart in your mouth pork belly! Flavorful marinated chasu! My personal favorite is the tan tan ramen. The broth is a creamy, rich, and wonderfully flavorful! The broth tastes kind of like spicy miso with a hint of coconut milk? Some kind of milk or creaminess is in the broth and it is so addicting to me. I can drink the broth on its own! The noodles are also perfectly cooked, the noodle itself has a fresh bouncy texture and taste! The waviness of the noodle also picks up the broth very well! The porkbelly bao is a 10/10 for me but FYI there is wasabi in it! I definitely didn't realize that but personally I can handle spice so it was fine for me. But just a warning if you can't handle the surprise heat! The porkbelly was huge and thick and so tender! I absolutely needed like 10 more of these. The karage is a great starter! Freshly fried and perfectly crispy! I believe they use chicken thigh so its very juicy and tender! I also enjoy the sweet and tangy glaze that they drizzle it in, I wish they coated the chicken in the sauce more evenly or gave us more sauce. Overall, I inhaled the ramen in 5 minutes and I even drank all the broth. Everything was delicious! I definitely will be back again!

Emiliana O.

Yelp
It was alright. Wish the pork bao had some sauce on it bc the bun and meat were pretty good. Spicy ramen was okay, kinda greasy for our taste and the noodles were clumpy. Fried chicken & edemame were great! Cocktails were yummy too!

Yelp
I recently checked out Momosan Boston Morimo and it was a real gem, even though it's in a food court. Surprisingly, the ambiance was pretty cozy, adding to the whole dining vibe. The waitstaff was super on point, making sure every detail of my meal was spot-on. I went for the Tonkatsu ramen, duck tacos, and an iced tea - all were bursting with flavors that hit the spot. What's cool is that a colleague who's a regular at the Hawaii location recommended Momosan to me, and they were spot-on about how awesome it is. Since I discovered Momosan during a marketing conference last year, it's become a top pick for me. The combo of attentive service, tasty eats, and a chill ambiance in a food court setting is a winner. Can't wait to swing by again and soak up the good vibes along with the fantastic food.

Yelp
Momosan Morimoto, a ramen joint in downtown Boston, offers convenience and friendly service, right next to the bustling TD Garden. While the food may not always hit the mark, the experience is still enjoyable overall. The service at Momosan Morimoto is a real highlight. The staff is attentive, welcoming, and ensures you have a pleasant dining experience. Its location next to TD Garden also makes it a perfect pre- or post-event spot to grab a bowl of ramen. When it comes to the food, the results are a bit mixed. The ramen, while satisfying, lacks the rich and complex flavors one might hope for. The broth could benefit from a more layered taste, and the noodles, though cooked well, don't quite elevate the dish to its full potential. 1. Tonkotsu Ramen - 3/5 2. Duck Fat Fries - 3/5

Marni M.

Yelp
I remember growing watching Masaharu Morimoto on Iron Chef America since the age of 5 and feeling inspired by his creativity and culture. When I found out there was a restaurant with his name, I was already looking forward to checking them out. My sister came on a Saturday night around 7:30 pm and had no problem having a few tables to pick our seats with the friendly hostess. For appetizers we tried their soft shell bao and carpaccio. The bao was ideally soft and fluffy holding a perfectly tempera fried crab with a few pickle slices. It tasted good but was made even better when dipped in the sesame and soy sauce with the carpaccio. Having a hankering for salmon, this definitely satisfied my craving since it was clean and fatty tasting. For entrees my sister got their chicken ramen while I got their tonkatsu ramen. It was almost alarming how fast the ramens as they were dropped off before either appetizer. Although I didn't try the chicken ramen, my sister said it was light and exactly what she wanted. We both agreed the ramen noodles themselves are on the more al dente side which is better than the alternative of being over cooked. I enjoyed the tonkatsu broth as it was seasoned well but lacked some body as if it was the instant version. I was additionally disappointed to find the "char su" was actually traditional slices of bacon cooked to be incredibly tender, to not entirely discredit. Overall, we had a good experience but I did have slightly higher hopes for the ramen given the restaurant name. But this was also expected given where they're located and the volume they must be able to accommodate for. Price wasn't too bad considering so I would like to come again to try more from their menu. Service was great as she was attentive and checked on us regularly.

Russ A.

Yelp
Momosan is inside a food court, within The Garden, with their own dedicated space and tables. We had eel, yellow fin, and tempura shrimp rolls, sweet and sour chicken, pork dumplings, and fries. While the rolls were priced nicely, they were the size of a nickel, and the shrimp was more like shrimp jerky. It was fried past well-done. The dumplings were a little burned on the bottom but they were tasty. The fries and chicken were good and service was great. If we go back, we wouldn't order sushi.

Yelp
Everything from the Brussel sprout appetizer, salmon avocado sushi to the ramen was great and our service was amazing too! It's pretty loud with lots of stimulation happening everywhere, it was a perfect spot for my teens and I to meet a friend and enjoy a delicious meal.

Yelp
Momosan is a great ramen place! It is not mind-blowing, but it is still delicious, the service is blazing fast, and the prices aren't too bad considering the location and celebrity connection. I tried a Kakuni Bao, the Spicy Tan-Tan Ramen, and a Spiced Car to drink. The pork bun/Bao was great. The bun itself was pillowy soft, the pork was very tender and flavorful, and I enjoyed the sauce (Dijon mayo). My only note: the lettuce, which added a pleasant freshness and crispness, was only in the very middle. As such, only half-ish of the bites got the benefits of this component. Then came the Spicy Tan-Tan Ramen. The components that were present were phenomenal! The broth was rich, gently sweet, a little spicy, and a lot savory. I wouldn't have minded a little more heat (as an option), but that's just me, not a criticism. The noodles were fantastic! They way exceeded my expectation! They were cooked to perfection and absorbed some of that incredible broth flavor. Ajitama (marinated soft-boiled egg) is always a nice touch! This same flavor also worked its way into the Chashu, making it heavenly. The Chashu itself could not have been more tender and melted in my mouth. The only 'bummer' is that they include only one thin slice. Once I happily devoured it, after a bit of searching in the bowl, I had to order more. Paying an extra four bucks for two slices of heaven isn't an issue; I wish they included them outright. I have no complaints about the miso-ground pork, but this allows me to segue into my main criticism. Other than the spectacular flavor of the broth, I found the ramen lacked layers. Everything was broth-sub-something. There were two small squares of lettuce which offered some nice contrast; however, compared to the bowl size, these weren't much. Then there was the Spiced Car drink: this one was great. It had good strength, having a nice but not overpowering bite. It also tasted bright, citrusy, and refreshing! I also liked the rim! I'm not sure what it was, but it wasn't Tajin. It had a pleasant heat, adding some pep, and it didn't flake off right away, giving you a mouth full of whatever it was. Finally, the service was fabulous! It was unbelievably fast (especially considering how fresh everything was) and very attentive. So, even though I can't admit Momosan to Mark's Hall of Fame in terms of ramen, the meal was still overall delicious. With fast service and great value, not at all bad to squash a ramen craving.

Yelp
I like providing positive reviews online and I typically send negative feedback directly to the restaurant. However, in this case there was no way to do that from their website. So... My go to ramen place is not Momosan Morimoto, even though it's across the street from my office. But colleagues rave about it, so today in the rain I opted for the convenience. Getting to the points: - Server seemed that she would rather be anywhere else but helping me - Green Tea - really good - Ramen broth - yup, that is some gooooood stuff. Much better than my usual - Ramen noodles - they could not have been more soggy. Just a big bowl of mush. I didn't bother finishing them which was such a bummer because the rest of the bowl was great. But lame noodles... I'm sure it was a one-off but at $30 incl tip for a bowl of soup and cup o' tea - please give me fresh, great noodles.

Yelp
Food today was awesome as usual, edamame is so tasty and the vegan spicy ramen is some of the best ramen we have ever had. The fresh halved cherry tomatoes added to the dish this time tasted like they were just plucked from the garden. The highlight is always the tofu, delicious! And in many past visits, plentiful. But alas, today there were only 4 pieces per bowl and we had to order sides of tofu. The sides weren't wildly expensive but 4 pieces in the dish served was disappointing. Great but only good when you have to interrupt an amazing eating experience by ordering more protein mid chew. Joyfully, #layveganfoodcritic

Yelp
Maybe the other ramen dishes are better but what I got was not great. Pork baos: the meat to fat ratio was good but there was no caramelization on the meat so it lacked flavor Duck fat fries: these were ok, nothing crazy or memorable. Tsukemen dipping ramen: probably the most disappointing if the three. The egg had no flavor, the soup was really loose and lacked flavor. Tsukemen soups I've had in other restaurants and Japan, were much thicker and flavorful to cling onto the noodle. Expected a lot more from a celebrity chef restaurant but maybe that was my mistake. Won't come back since it's hard to park around this area but if you do, get something else!

Yelp
I wanted badly to love an iron chef restaurant, but the totally undeveloped flavor profiles and decidedly average versions of dishes I've had better elsewhere made my Momosan experience a disappointment overall. I started with the edamame, which came out almost simultaneously with our mains. Generously and yet unevenly salted, and crying out for seasoning like soy or tamari sauce, or something more inventive. For ramen, I selected the chicken ramen, which was one of the only ones not featuring pork broth. The broth was soy-heavy and not rich, the protein was just cooked (literally), and the noodles plain and unglutenous. My companions had the spicy tonkatsu ramen, which they denoted as "not the best they've ever had". Even your standard ramen joint in the suburbs would give this place a run for its money, and a named ramen joint would easily top what I had here. With curt service at the check-in and a loud ambiance, I'm not sure I'd ever come back.

Yelp
This is a Japanese restaurant that caters to mostly westerners so the offerings are probably very Americanized. But, I love the setup. Convenient, clean, and the menu is very straightforward. They do a lot of business at this location so they are fast and efficient. Service was outstanding on our visit. We started with Seaweed Salad and a Spicy Tuna Roll as appetizer. Both were very good, but I especially liked the roll. It was beautiful, and the ingredients were fresh. For my entree I ordered the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen. The broth had a nice flavor. Initially it didn't seem spicy, but the spiciness snuck up on me. This bowl and would be perfect on a cold Boston day when you need a warm-me-up. I can report the hot sake was good and strong.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch-just happened to be passing by. Our server was top notch-super friendly and attentive. The blueberry non alcoholic bevs were refreshing and the salmon avocado roll was a great start. I enjoyed a solid bowl of seaweed salad followed by salmon sashimi topped with ikura over rice. Salmon was excellent as was the ikura. The rice was not quite finished...I think they rushed to get this particular batch out (it was still very warm and didn't taste like sushi rice). Doesn't matter...the fish and service were great.

Yelp
The food is good but very pricey for the serving you get. The service was ok, they weren't very attentive and had to flag waiter down to get drinks refilled. It was loud since it was in the open area of the food court. Side note: It is in the TD Garden train/event center and when we went there we didn't know a game was going on so the parking was $60 regardless if we were going to the game or not. So check if there's a game before going there to eat.

Yelp
Pretty good place. If you are visiting and short on time, I would not put this on your bucketlist. But if you are staying near the area or work here, it is one of the better options. Drinks are not as expensive as the Seaport. The staff is great and the bar is super comfortable as it has bag hooks and a foot stool. It is probably the most comfortable places to eat in the food hall. The food is okay. Not terrible, it why I was like its not Bucklist worthy but not a bad option if you are in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Lemme start off by saying if I stopped going out to eat AND drink, I'd have so much more money saved. Unfortunately, the world didn't prepare for what I would do and order when I turned 21 and fortunately today I will be rating something from Momosan's drink menu. For a ramen place I was a bit perplexed on why they served sushi but despite craving sushi at the time, I leaned in and ordered a house classic - their ramen (obviously). WHAT I ORDERED: Spicy tan tan ramen (broth), Yuzu margarita Yuzu Marg: This first came out and costed $13, I'll be honest I would go again JUST for this drink. That's it. The way I inhaled this after only a 5 hour shift surprised me. First the salty rim hits you, then the rest is history. Blended with a nice sweet and sour flavor of yuzu, lime, and TEQUILAAAA this drink surely won me over as both refreshing and delicious. Bonus points for it being strong. (RATING: 8/10) Spicy tan tan: Next that came out was the main event babeyyyyy. But I was first surprised by one thing, despite the menu not mentioning cha shu pork - they served me one. single. slice. So I asked if I could have more and they thought I meant I wanted an extra portion. Thank goodness the pork was pretty good because I was charged $4 for that portion. But it's not worth it for a SLICE of meat. Alright enough of that, now onto everything else about the ramen. The broth was a nice sesame-y/nutty taste that wasn't too overpowering with spice but it sure was salty. Personally I'm a Pho girlie through and through due to my taste buds not being able to handle how salty ramen broth can get. (Don't worry ramen, I will still love you no matter what). The noodles were soft and not too chewy and their ajitama was a soft, umami flavor I appreciated. But I mean after that whole experience, walking out of it I didn't have the experience I would except. As people we eat with our eyes and despite the presentation being a great one, it was a little lacking. Nothing too memorable. In total I paid $20 for this due to the miscommunication of an extra portion of cha shu so really (16+4). Which in my opinion can be pretty overpriced for a bowl of ramen. (RATING: 4/10) FINAL VERDICT: I chose to go to Momosan for the second time again after almost a year because it was close to me at the time and I saw the convenience. I really loved the immersive atmosphere of Japanese decor and drinks mixed with the loudness of football games blaring from the food court television. Would I come again for a third time? It's leaning towards unlikely, unless I went with a group of friends. :) With that being said, thank you for the meal Momosan.

Yelp
Momosan in NYC is one of my favorite go to ramen places and I was so excited when I heard there was one in Boston. This was extremely disappointing. The ramen we got was extremely salty and the broth was too watery. There was no spice or flavor either

Yelp
Such an aesthetic restaurant right next to TD Garden. The ramen was good, but not life changing. Service was very nice. The best thing we ordered was the Soft Shell Crab Bao. The marinated fried crab wrapped in a fluffy bun was so yummy. Only issue was, it was $12 for one bao which is hard to justify. Decent food but pricey for what you get.

Yelp
Set your expectations: if you've been to other, more intimate, Morimoto restaurants, this is not that. It's essentially in TD Garden which is both a huge sports arena and a busy train station, so it's loud and fast moving. That being said, the staff matches that vibe and can get you in and out of there as quick as needed, which can be handy if you're trying to catch a game or a train. But it is in no way a quiet date spot. The beer pours 20oz but pretty expensive: $12 for a Kirin, $17 for a cider or IPA, so I went with a yuzu margarita ($14) which was decent, not too sour. The sushi rolls that are offered are all pretty basic, spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, etc. and they were fine, just basic, but not bad, not amazing. The star was easily and surprisingly, the pork gyoza. While not advertised as such, it came in a hot cast iron that's still searing the gyoza. They give you this delightful pure umami scallion/ginger (and miso?) sauce that you can dip in, or pour it over for the sizzle. I'm still dreaming about that dish. It makes me wonder if there are other things on the menu that are more interesting than they sound. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here again with so many good options in Boston, but if in the area, I'd sure as hell like those gyoza again.

Yelp
Really loved eating here before a concert in TD! Even with the chaos before a concert, we were seated very quickly (we did come two hours early but I was still surprised how quick it was considering how busy the area was) our server was very sweet and took our orders promptly, but it took a little long for the food to arrive. My favorite dish of the night was definitely the soft shell crab bao!! The crab was crunchy and the bun was soooo soft. Paired with whatever sauce they added, it was all-in-all an amazing dish. The brussel sprouts were also very crispy and crunchy, and the perfect pairing to our rice and ribs. The ribs were cooked to perfection, the meat fell off the bones so easily, while also being very crispy. Popcorn chicken was pretty good too, but nothing spectacular. For three people, this was the perfect amount of food. For the price, I think it was worth it even though it is a pricy place to go. Definitely a good restaurant to check out, I highly recommend!

Yelp
I stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. I was really craving ramen, so I was, of course, stoked to try Momosan! You have the option to do both outdoor and indoor seating, weather permitting. I started off with the Seaweed Salad ($7) and Spicy Wontons ($14). The Seaweed Salad portion was super tiny so I inhaled that pretty quickly. The Spicy Wontons dish was the highlight of the meal. Five pieces of chicken wontons in a pool of Szechuan sesame-chili sauce?! Say no more, 10/10. The chili sauce was really spicy but so, so delicious and just brimming with flavor. The wontons held up well throughout duration of the meal as well. I had their Spicy Tan Tan ramen ($16) and it left a lot to be desired. The broth didn't really have dimension-- it just tasted fatty, thick, and a little plain. I liked the noodles because they were perfectly chewy, and the miso ground pork addition was very flavorful. Other than that, the ramen wasn't super memorable.

Janice L.

Yelp
Tan tan ramen was too thick and oily. Gave my boyfriend a stomachache and the soup itself tasted very fatty. Was almost like eating thick cement. Not good at all, the salmon and avocado roll was ok, but nothing special. Not coming back.

Quynh P.

Yelp
Ramen was extremely salty, and the broth was overly thick. It's expensive and not worth the price. The duck tacos did save my experience here, and I was sad that they didn't have duck the second time I came. The drinks were cute. Hub Hall can be kind of crowded but it has good seatings.

Leah L.

Yelp
I definitely had high expectations walking into Momosan given Iron Chef Morimoto's reputation. Unfortunately, my experience didn't quite hit the mark. There were some really fantastic items on the menu (i.e. duck tacos were phenomenal highly recommend), but what I really came for, the ramen, was a miss. The broth for the spicy tonkatsu ramen was a little too salty for my taste and the flavor was average. The spicy option did come with some type of chili paste on the side that I then added to the ramen which may have been the culprit for the saltier broth. In general though, I was not impressed with the ramen. The other items we ordered were decent, but I was not blown away by them (duck fat fries and spicy tuna roll). Drinks, on the other hand, were delicious and made strong. I was a fan of the yuzu margarita! Overall, definitely worth it to check out Momosan, but I am inclined to check out other restaurants to fulfill my ramen cravings.

Yelp
This place has good service. I was able to be in and out in 30-45mins and got our waters immediately. Got the tan tan and it was pretty good. Its broth is thicker than miso and had bits of pork. Good music too. The shrimp was delicious and pork bao buns looked good.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place. Leaving work and in a hurry with my craving for ramen I stopped in. Besides, I had lived nearby for the last decade and never stopped in when I came to north station. But today I feel validated in that. Vibes were similar to a cafeteria bc it is in the hub. They didn't build out any wall to separate it and make it feel like a restaurant next to all the food hall stands. The chopsticks are also very low quality and short. The shortness is the real issue. My hand was nearly in my broth (if there was much broth for it to dip into). Invest in regular length chop sticks, I'm not on the go from the gas station. The food tho. Was one of the worst meals I've paid money for in a long time period, let alone the worst ramen. I got the tan tan ramen with added chasu. The noodles were so over cooked they had turned to globs of mush by the time the bowl got in front of me. I could only eat them en masse as they were like barely together baby food. The broth was so flavorless. There was nothing to it. It was also insanely hot. I spent 40 min eating and it never cooled to an even reasonable temp. Maybe they were overcompensating or reheating old ramen on the surface of the sun to re-serve to me from someone else, I don't know. Some food is cooked with love. This food was cooked with divorce papers and depression. Oh, I got a saketini which tasted fine but was a miniature martini so small a martini for ants and expensive at that.

Yelp
Sadly a lot of staff turnover and sushi prices are way up. Food quality a little less than once was...
