A Fan Favorite Brunch Spot Closes After 10 Years | Eater Vegas

"Opened in Henderson in 2015, this compact weekend brunch spot quickly drew long lines—sometimes an hour or more—on Saturday and Sunday mornings and operated for nearly a decade before closing permanently on Monday, May 28. It became known for both sweet and savory brunch dishes, notably Nutella s’mores French toast, Benedicts topped with pork belly, and crispy chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and Oaxacan cheese. Open five days a week from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the menu also featured a skillet pancake with caramelized apple slices, a hangover burger with a fried egg, and a roasted-pork-and-gruyere sandwich on rye. A sign on the door and a Facebook message from chef-owner Javier Chavez thanked customers for their support." - Janna Karel

I had to try the country fried steak because the gravy is always a good tell if I'm going to like it... gravy was yummy! 😋 I think the jams they offered were homemade, blueberry and peach or apricot, they were 👍🏼 Small cozy place. They did give us a plate of beans and salsa with chips as a starter, odd, but I ate it up, lol!

Visiting from out of town, we were lucky enough to stumble upon Mom’s Kitchen, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. This small, family-owned spot has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re dining in someone’s home—not a surprise, given the name! The food was absolutely excellent—clearly made with love and care. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. But the real standout? The fresh-squeezed orange juice and the full juice menu. It’s rare to find juice this vibrant and refreshing—easily the best we’ve had anywhere. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this local gem. We’ll be back every time we’re in town!

✅ Rating: 4.6 / 5 🍽️ Food: The food at this place was delicious. I had the chilaquiles and pancakes. Both were great. The chilaquiles had the right texture and were not soggy. The green sauce is delicious. 👨‍🍳 Service: The service was great! The workers here are very attentive and will check up on you often. The name of the restaurant is called Mom’s Kitchen and it really does feel like they treat you like a welcomed guest. Great staff and service! 🏠 Location: The inside of the place has a minimal boutique vibe. It’s a little on the smaller side but there was no wait time when we came here for lunch on the weekend. ⭐️ Final Verdict: I think this is one of the top breakfast/lunch spots on this side of Henderson. The customer service and check ins throughout were great. Food tasted amazing. The cost of the meals is budget friendly. Definitely recommend this place!

The food was amazing. The service was excellent. We sat at the bar as the rest of the restaurant was full and I must say it was worth it. We were served quickly and had our coffees within the first minute from when we sat down, also menus in hand. I ordered quickly as I already knew what I wanted. Chicken fried steak and M ordered eggs benedict. The place itself is very simple. Just like Mom's house. The service made you feel like you were dealing with family. made it a special as I was just taking M out for a quick breakfast on mother's Day. Our food arrived fairly quickly as if it was only a couple minutes from the time we ordered it. The food was amazing. The country, fried steak and the gravy, different yet familiar and what I mean. With that it, had a lot more sausages than I expected and the flavors were on point, the over easy eggs were correctly done and the potato hash browns completed the meal. M stated that her food was excellent. Also once it was time for the check it was quick, simple and we were out the door. I have to say one of my best experiences in a long time.

The staff were wonderful!! The food was fantastic as well. I recommend Florentine Benedict. Great coffee and bar seating as well. I definitely recommend stopping in here.

Google
Authentic and Flavorful, with Room for Improvement in Cleanliness The food here is truly authentic Mexican cuisine—delicious and satisfying. I had the green chilaquiles along with a lemonade, and both were excellent. Since all the tables were occupied, we sat at the bar, which gave us a clear view of the prep station and the kitchen entrance. As the restaurant got busier, we noticed the prep area becoming increasingly cluttered. It would enhance the dining experience to see more attention given to cleanliness—such as regularly wiping down counters, switching out fruit-cutting boards, and keeping the floor swept. Overall, the food was great, but a bit more focus on maintaining cleanliness during peak hours would make a big difference.

Google
It was quite good but my bacon was fully and totally burnt. I'm not saying overcooked. I'm saying...burnt!!! I tried to tell the waiter right away but the restaurant was bustling and nobody came to ask how the food was. I ended up putting it on the side and not eating it. It was disgusting! I am not sure how the cook could choose to serve that to a customer. The waitress was visibly sorry for me when she saw the state of the bacon. I would have appreciated a fruit bowl to compensate, but the food other than that was good and the ambiance was good - so I recommend it and hope this was just a bad one time thing.

Yelp
This place is phenomenal. We came because of the reviews and we will return because it is magnificent. The food is great, the vibe is awesome and the restaurant is run by people that are family or feel like it! Pictured below is the food we ordered minus the smoothie I drank. It was all phenomenal!

Yelp
Mom's Kitchen is a nice cozy family-owned restaurant in Henderson. You'll find them on Horizon and College Drive, hidden behind a fast food. There's good parking available. The restaurant is owned by Josh's grandmother. It initially opened in March 2020 but had to close and then reopened in January 2021. Since then, the place has been flourishing nicely with weekends being their most busiest. Inside is spacious and clean with ample seating and good music. Every table has condiments for flavoring and extra straws. Menu offers a nice selection of traditional breakfast plates like New York steak and eggs, Mexican dish, eggs benedict, omelettes, burritos & breakfast sandwich, buttermilk pancake, as well as lunch starter, salad, pasta, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, and kids menu. I ordered Walnut Strawberry Salad ($15.75) with shrimp (+$5), which is pretty good and very filling! It has a generous portion, plenty of vibrant mixed greens with chewy cranberries, crunchy walnuts, sweet strawberries and blueberries tossed in balsamic vinaigrette and has blue cheese crumbles. I tried with blue cheese but somehow it didn't quite match the salad. Personally, I think blue cheese goes perfectly well with Cobb salad because there's a pronounced savoryness from chicken and bacon. If there's fruit, feta cheese would be a more favorable choice to use in the salad because it balances the sweetness and texture. I also had Green juice ($9.75) which is absolutely delightful and super refreshing! It's like a smoothie with a beautiful blend of sweet pineapple, banana, celery, apple, a zest of ginger, spinach and fresh squeeze orange juice, so yummy and fantastic! Service from Josh is very kind, welcoming, attentive and friendly! I noticed my table was a little shaky. Josh is so polite and courteous, he saw the table moving before I mentioned, and came by to secure it so it doesn't shake, which I greatly appreciate! Thank you so much for the warm welcome and outstanding hospitality!

Yelp
Good place. The service is great the family who owns the restaurant are extremely kind people. The food is okay, it's basic American/mexican breakfast. I'm not saying it's not good. But I'm not crazy impressed. I really don't like the drinks. If u sit at the counter "which I usually do" u see the drink of the day and 9 times out of ten it's shity. Pancakes and burritos are good. Along with some other things. It's not a shit place. It's just another breakfast/brunch place The ambience is good, it's a comfortable and safe environment. The family is super nice. I don't feel like I'm in a corporate company environment. I feel like I'm in grandmas kitchen. And you are. I like it but I'm just not impressed.

Yelp
We were so excited for our son's first football game of the season! The game was taking place across town in Henderson near our favorite breakfast place in all of Southern Nevada, Mom's Kitchen! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and immediately seated. The service is impeccable. They brought over complimentary chips and beans that are so yummy. Husband ordered the chilaquiles with red sauce. The serving was big! Even my half order of their delicious biscuits and gravy was large. Coffee was perfect. But the star of this breakfast was the strawberry hibiscus agua fresca!!! You must try! Thank you Mom's Kitchen for consistently making our breakfast visits a memorable experience.

Yelp
What a great little discovery. Had a wonderful breakfast this weekend at this new find. Food was delicious with healthy serving. They also have a great selection of fresh juices. I wish I lived closer .

Yelp
Decided to give this place a try - We came here on a Monday around noon. There was no wait and place was not packed so we were seated promptly. Complimentary chips and bean dip was good, however, amount of chips given is not proportional to the number of people in the party (8 or 9 chips and the bean dip on a small plate) . We were unclear if we would be charged if we asked for more chips - no one informed us we could ask for more, and we didn't ask. My mom ordered the avocado toast which was good but nothing extraordinary. She also ordered the salmon omelette with egg whites - initially came not egg whites so they re-did it. Second time it came we noticed a stand of hair, so they re-did it again and my mom ended up just taking it to-go. My sister ordered the chicken pesto sandwich which was also good, but nothing extraordinary. Sweet potato fries were undercooked I ordered the sautéed onion and mushroom burger - It was a bit bland, it was not juicy but not that dry. The onions were a bit under sautéed. Personally, caramelized onions would be have been better for this burger. French fries were undercooked. Maybe it was an off day or maybe we ordered the wrong items (not their specialty) off the menu, but we were disappointed. Portions are adequate - not too big and not too small, just right. It is a bit overpriced. Perhaps the best thing we ordered were the smoothies. Good size (24oz) for $9.75 Service was good - no issue noted. Everyone was nice and friendly. Ambiance - spacious, well-lit and clean. Lots of parking as it is located in a strip mall. There are other breakfast/brunch places out there. Unless I am in the area, maybe I would give this place another chance and order something else.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast! They offer a small chip and beans as an appetizer before your meal which also comes with home made salsa.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way back home to California. This place has good vibes! The staff super friendly the moment we walked in! Got seated right away. The food was delicious! Tried the biscuits and gravy, chorizo burrito and the green chilaquiles! Big portions! We will definitely come back when in the area!

Yelp
Small-town feel, huge portions. Mom's Kitchen is a little Henderson restaurant which I finally made the time to check out today for breakfast. Occupying a decent-sized space on the SW corner of Horizon and College, it's bright and welcoming. So is the lady working the front of the house; she greeted everyone warmly, invited folks to sit where we'd like, and managed to take care of all the tables. I couldn't bring myself to try any of the exorbitantly pricy juices despite evidence that at least the OJ was freshly made in a juice, but I did grab a Coffee ($3.00). It was served hot and wasn't too bitter or acidic; I took it without creamer or sugar, so I didn't mind that it wasn't too aggressive. They brought out free chips and bean dip, plus a couple of salsas that seemed at least medium in spiciness. The chips seemed to be freshly cooked in house, or at least warmed up after being fried elsewhere. Checking in on Yelp, I noticed a check-in offer for free Biscuits and Gravy (normally $6.50 for the half-size order), so I took advantage of it and got a very hearty appetizer. The two biscuits were soft and similar in size to what you'd find at the McDonald's across the corner, but it was absolutely smothered in a rich white sausage gravy. This could serve as a light-medium breakfast if you're not too hungry. For my entree, I ordered the Country Fried Steak ($16.50) with my choices of sourdough toast, home potatoes, and two sunny side up eggs. The steak was crispy-battered and fork-tender, and it was topped with that same sausage gravy. The toast was just one slice, but it was crispy and you can get butter or jam if you'd like. The home potatoes, cooked with peppers and a bit of cheese, were noticeably underseasoned since everything else was balanced or light, meaning that there isn't anything to balance out the blandness. The eggs were cooked just fine, with one egg getting a harder fry on the white than the other. Mom's Kitchen is a good neighborhood restaurant. I don't see much to distinguish them from other breakfast/lunch spots aside from maybe a bit more Mexican influence on parts of the menu, but because they're the closest spot to home for me, I'm happy to have them as an option for when I want a hearty meal that's not from a chain.

Yelp
We went there for a Friday brunch. I got the BLT and fries and they were very tasty. Service was okay, we still had to wait 40 ish for our meals and sodas. Ambiance fit the name, so it is comfortable. Overall 4/5

Yelp
Oh heck yeah, Yelp! You made my day recommending this place to me. I actually have breakfast a lot in the area, in a place that's kitty corner to this one. Don't get me wrong, I love that place, especially for their specialty coffees and baked French toast, but sometimes you want eggs. Sometimes you want chilaquiles and steak AND eggs. This first time coming in was one of those days and now that I know this place is here, it's getting added to the breakfast rotation for sure. We came in on a Saturday morning, around 1030AM. There were a few groups waiting ahead of us. When the person at the door took our names, he estimated about a 10-15 min wait. Not a problem at all. However, we waited less than 10 min! We sat in the back, next to the windows at a nice big table and very comfortable chair and banquette seat. The place is a bit sparsely decorated but they use the space well and it looks very, very clean. I actually like a bit of white walls and ceiling. Can't hide the dirt/dust from me then. Our server was just a great ball of energy. She was a bit swamped so she missed some stuff, like refills for our coffee, but there are quite a few people who check up on you, so it wasn't really an issue. The food is incredible. I loved the beans on the gratis plate of chips we got. The salsas are really good as well. I got green chilaquiles with an over easy egg and added steak. OMG! That steak was so freaking good. I have never has such good steak as a side like that before. I ate ALL of it. My husbands BYO burrito was really tasty as well.

Yelp
I can't remember if i left a review after my first time here but i'll leave another one BECAUSE they deserve 100 stars I absolutely love this place, the food, the service, everything is a 10/10. Both times i've gotten the country fried steak and I need to try something else but I'll miss it if I don't order it. We live on the other side of town but 100% worth the drive to come here. I did get the NY Steak and eggs today in addition to the country fried steak .. SO THICK SO GOOD ABD COOKED TO PERFECTION. caramel latte = delicious Chips and beans = delicious salsa and jams = delicious Biscuits and gravy = delicious .... it's good ok , leave me be. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu but maybe one day i'll try everything

Yelp
Came on a Saturday close to one and waited for 10 minutes before we got seated. Make sure to check in on the app to receive free biscuits and gravy! Starters the coffee was so good and biscuits and gravy! I got the avocado toast it was good. I've had better avocado toast. Previous reviews did say, a lot of people said, it was alright. But I wanted to give it a try. My friend ordered the French toast with a combo of eggs, hash brown, and ham. Said it also good. My husband did order the burger, although make sure it is cooked. Sadly, we did ask the waiter to take it back to re-cook the fries. I would like to come back there to try their lunch menu and breakfast again. Giving this place four stars the french fries were not cooked throughly.

Yelp
Las Vegas is swarming with restaurants, and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect one. The best breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The best cuisine. The best pizza. This time I wanted the best quality, made with love breakfast. And that's just what I got at Mom's Kitchen. I invited my cousin to breakfast, and we found ourselves trying this cute family diner. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by the staff, and not long after you're in a seat. They give complimentary chips, beans, and salsa as you wait for your meal (cute!). My cousin and I shared the Vampiro which is a fresh juice made of OJ, carrots, beets, and ginger. I ordered the florentine Benedict and a single pancake & she had the veggie burrito. Both dishes came out hot & steamy! If you haven't given them a try, now's the time!!

Yelp
Monday, 9:00 am, 6 adults. Not busy, but it took almost 30 minutes to get our orders taken, and another 45 minutes to get our food. When the food arrived the server stood at one end of the table and handed the hot plates to the person on the end to hand it down. The was plenty of room for the server to have moved around the table. The food was inconsistent. My son ordered a medium rare steak that was well done and half fat and gristle. My wife ordered crispy bacon (floppy), eggs (over down) and hash browns (undercooked and cold inside). My chilaquiles with steak were good, but again the steak was overcooked and gristly. Only my daughter enjoyed her turkey wrap and her dad liked his strawberry French toast. The restaurant is clean but plain. No decorations. I see no reason that we will ever return.

Yelp
We came by here on our way to Hoover Dam and everybody was super glad we did. I checked in and got a FREE biscuits and gravy. If I had received that before we ordered our meal they would have only sold three more biscuits and gravy. It was SO GOOD! Very unusual in that it has more like a hamburger meat, although I'm sure it has some sausage or pork in there. Again, it was so good. My daughter ordered the BLT and was so happy. She had actually ordered a salad but they were out of Romaine so she just threw something safe out there and it turned out to be such a good call. All she kept saying was how thick the bacon was. I ordered the birria plate and it was OK. Not bad but not really good either. It was a lot more like chili colorado. Don't get me wrong, I love birria and grew up eating it often so I expected a little more of the consume flavor but again not bad. I would not order it again, I would try something else. LIKE the biscuits and gravy. I will tell you what is good, their beans. And rice too. I would love to return to Mom's Kitchen. The place is very clean and big clean restrooms too for weary tourists. The service was excellent and friendly. We got there around 2:15 and at 3 PM when they were closing, they were working around us without making us feel pressured to leave.

Yelp
We came here for brunch for the first time over the weekend and were greeted with very friendly service by everyone there. The complimentary chips and beans (not pictured) were to do for. We ordered a B.A.T.S. Omelette and a Chorizo Burrito, both of which were filling and delicious. The toast that came with the omelette included a homemade blueberry jam and a whipped butter. We'll definitely be coming back soon!

Yelp
Cute restaurant ran by Nana herself! The food was all cooked well and the beans and chips were complimentary. Everything had great flavor and service wasn't quick but it wasn't overly long waiting for food either. Great spot in Henderson.

Yelp
Ok people this place caught me off guard and I was pleasantly surprised with everything from the food to the service to the cleanliness This spot is a must stop by with complimentary salsa and chips are amazing The Huevos rancheros was Amazing The eggs skillet was delicious The bacon burger was good but need to reinforce how you want your burger cooked Best breakfast potatoes I've had so far in the west Family owned is a plus , a lot of tradition and pride comes with cooking and it shows Thanks Moms Kitchen for your outstanding service and food
google avatar

Kristina I.

Yelp
This place was an INCREDIBLE brunch! Not only was the food delicious but I felt so taken care of by the staff there. It's small, but enough space to walk in and home-y. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito which was huge and super delicious. My mom got their French toast and loved it. The star for me was the pineapple mint (?) agua fresca - I'm still obsessed with it and I want to fly back to Vegas soon just to get this drink I also loved that they started breakfast with chips and bean dip, it was super flavorful and delicious.
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
I enjoyed Moms kitchen both times I've visited, the service is friendly and quick and "Mom" makes her way around the restaurant to say hello. The menu has a decent selection, the prices are comparable to other breakfast spots around. If you come on a holiday or weekend I would try to beat any crowds as the restaurant itself is fairly small so accommodations will be limited.
google avatar

Simon A.

Yelp
This might be one of my all time breakfast places! Everything on the menu is made fresh and so flavorful. I can't get enough of the country fried steak and eggs smothered in sausage gravy. All their smoothies are a must try and made fresh!

Yelp
Best hole in the wall breaker joint in Vegas! (Family owned and ran) Service is a little slow, but it is worth the wait! Food is on point! Staff is friendly and always checks to make certain you're happy

Yelp
Really good... To my my family I am called a biscuits and gravy snob, I was shocked when I tried the biscuits and gravy promo for checking in on yelp and it was Stellar. Lots of sausage chunks and homemade biscuits, Definitely not from a #10 can. We forgot to take a photo of the biscuits and gravy but here is everything else. Mine was a little boring but hubbys was really good. (To be fair I was looking at other more interesting dishes and when the waiter came to the table I ordered the exact opposite of what I was looking at ;) )

Jason W.

Yelp
Terrible service. Had a party of 6. Gratuity was already included. Did not inform us. I dont mind if the service was even subpar. It was non existent . Not once did they check on us. Only to drop the food off. Food order were not dropped off to the right person. Had same order but done differently. So i started to eat not knowing the other person had the same order. Son ordered med rare and came med well. Waited like 10 minutes to get bill and we were clearly done and had to flag someone down because like i said nobody checked on us after another 10 minutes not out waiter to pay the bill. . Plates were stacked and never asked us if everything was alright. Had the guaranteed tip so i take it they did not think they had to even try??? Food was solid ,but the service made it a poor experience. I never like putting out negative reviews.
google avatar

Marisa A.

Yelp
Service and staff are amazing, very home like vibes. The wait isnt that long even when it's busy we still got seated within 5 minutes and served very quickly. Food is delicious and the servings are a decent size as we never finish our plates. You must try the refreshers as they are to die for. We loved it so much that we went back the next day!!
google avatar

Yelp
I arrived with high expectations. They were exceeded. First, I had, gratis, a delicious tasting of chips and homemade bean salsa. Excellent. Then the freshly squeezed juice. there are many to select. I ordered the Vampiro -- orange juice, carrot juice, beets and ginger. A massive portion -- maybe a pint. Also excellent. I asked the owner to suggest a dish. She recommended the huevos rancheros. Sublime. Crisp tortillas, perfectly poached eggs, delectable slightly spicy sauce. I asked for and was given a couple of extra corn tortillas to shamelessly mop up the extra sauce. Dessert, an unusually rough-textured flan -- made patriotic with strawberries, whipped cream and blueberries. Splendid! Outstanding! Perfect service. I am sated and happy. The place is worth a two hour drive to visit.
google avatar

Christine R.

Yelp
Packed on a Sunday morning & we opted to eat at the bar which turned out to be better for a party of 3, it gave us room for our plates & drinks, no over crowding. Staff is attentive. Food is great. Country fried steak was not soggy. I was surprised by the size of the steak, other places had small size for breakfast option but here it was big which really impressed me. Their chips & bean dip was so good, I wish they gave us a bigger portion . Place is simple, but vey well lit.
google avatar

Yelp
Super friendly welcome. I had the pineapple lemon mint tea which was awesome. I also had the chicken fried steak and my son had a mushroom burger. The food was good. There were a few negatives: first, we never had refills on the drinks. Not huge. We could have reached out I'm sure. But then I used the restroom. It was locked so I stood outside. When the door opened it was someone who worked in the kitchen. The doors to the kitchen and bathroom are next to each other. He walked in the kitchen and I walked into the bathroom. There isn't a urinal and the commode seat was down and covered in pee. If he didn't pee on it, he felt it was fine for a customer to clean it. Sad, because he front of house obviously cares and works hard to make a good impression.

Yelp
The food was delicious and I definitely will be back to try a new dish from the menu. The service was excellent and the ambiance was clean and pleasant. I really enjoyed my breakfast!!!

Yelp
Such a great staff and so much food to choose from. Burger are amazing and chillquillas are delish!. Love that we have a place like this in deep Henderson. Not very many good restaurants in this area so I'm so happy to have moms kitchen

Yelp
The breakfast was amazing. Friendly service. Highly recommend and I will return. PS Salsa has a nice kick to it

Yelp
The food is blah and overpriced. Two scrambled eggs, one sausage patty, rubbery hash browns for $17? Burger with rubbery patty and cold fries? $18? In-n-out would be a better choice. Not sure why this place gets good reviews we were disappointed to say the least.

Yelp
Mom's kitchen is a gem in Henderson. We celebrated a belated Mother's Day with my family and everything was great. The servers accommodated us very quickly, on a busy Sunday morning. I had the Chilaquiles with chorizo. I recommend the Red and Green sauce. The service was good and the restaurant is clean. It was a great touch with the complimentary beans and chips. Parking is easy . This is a good pick for your morning breakfast.
google avatar

Yelp
Mom's Kitchen is a fabulous breakfast spot if you want fresh, healthy, tasty food served in very generous portions. Our server, "Mom's" grandson, did an excellent job accommodating our rather large party. He was kind, helpful, patient, knowledgeable about the menu items, and extremely helpful in getting us exactly what we were craving. I had the veggie omelette made with egg whites and it was so tasty and filling. The restaurant was very busy, but if you have to wait it'll be well worth it.

G S.

Yelp
my waitress was very sweet and super attentive. was seated quickly. food was tasty. enjoyed the chips as an appetizer

Kylie V.

Yelp
We had such a great experience at Mom's Kitchen! As soon as we walked in with our two little ones, the staff was incredibly welcoming and got us seated right away. The place was nearly full, but that didn't affect the amazing service at all. What really stood out was how attentive and kind everyone was -- especially when my youngest was having a tough time. One of the staff noticed and brought over a fruit bowl without us even asking. That thoughtful gesture meant a lot. You can really feel the small business love here -- from the warm atmosphere to the delicious, home-style food. Everything we ordered was fresh and made with care. We'll definitely be back!

Joey V.

Yelp
Amazing place! The food was very delicious I got the traditional breakfast. The baked potato's were perfectly seasoned and soft. The ham was full of flavor with a nice sweet honey Taste. In addition, the staff are really friendly with a very home like atmosphere.

Yelp
Absolutely the best breakfast spot in town! I have not had authentic Chilaquiles or homemade salsa in Vegas like this before! A must try! great customer service as well fast and efficient.

Yelp
Went yesterday 10/27 12pm, service was all over the place from being seated and waiting for utensils and napkins to the servers not paying attention. I ordered the chorizo burrito like I did in my first review since i remember it being very good. Unfortunately this time it was lacking flavor, as you can see in the photos there's a big difference then from the first time I had it. I asked the server for green salsa and she bring out red salsa that was dripping all over the place. They also kept bringing drinks to our table which we advised them twice it was not for our table. Also we ordered the free biscuits and gravy from the Yelp check in and they charged us at the end having to remind them again to take it off the bill. There seems to be a lack staff communication and a lack of flavor in the food now. Don't think we'll be returning anytime soon.

Yelp
After a staycation at Green Valley Ranch, I decided to go out of my way home and give Mom's Kitchen a try. It turned out to be a mistake. I arrived shortly after opening at 7 AM and I was immediately brought a mug of coffee and the menus (one was for juice and smoothies). After looking over the main menu, I ordered the Florentine eggs Benedict. While waiting, I was brought a small plate of bean dip and chips with salsa. I thought it was curious for breakfast, but I enjoyed snacking on the chips and bean dip. My coffee was refilled and then the breakfast arrived. The eggs were sprinked with paprika and the potatoes had melted cheese on them. When I went to break the yolk, I found that the eggs had been poached too long. They were almost hard boiled eggs. I enjoyed the potatoes, but the eggs did not make it as a Benedict. Payment here is with a portable unit left at the table. MY phone was right by me, so I tried Apple Pay. It doesn't accept Apple Pay so I dug my wallet out, hit the try again button, and held my card above the sensor. That went through, I left feeling disappointed with my decision but not every new place is going to meet excpectations. I won't be returning to Mom's Kitchen. My mom would have been ashamed to serve that breakfast.

Yelp
My family and I decided to try Mom's Kitchen for the first time. We waited 25 minutes for a table in a small waiting area with no seating. We needed seats for two little ones and that was a struggle to get situated. Our table and seats were awkwardly placed. The table, chairs and high chairs were dirty. After TWO 15-20 minute wait time estimates we were ready to finally sit down and get some water. No water was served, no check in from our server. We just ended up going home. It was worth a try, but now we know.

Yelp
11:40 A.M. check in on 12 May Review #24 of 2023 We were attended by Paty. Pork Chille Verde special, kids chocolate chip pancakes with bacon, Chorizo burrito with pepper Jack cheese and home style potatoes, bacon cheese fries, and biscuits with gravy. Nice pot of fresh coffee, and freshly made pineapple juice with lemon, mint, and cucumber. Service is a bit slowed and delayed, but understandable as the food here is delicious!
