Taiwanese comfort and northern-style plates—beef noodle soup, scallion pancakes, and spicy intestines—served in a humble, always-busy setting. Mentioned by local reporters as a benchmark for authentic Taiwanese flavors in town.

We have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally did it yesterday. We liked it! The unique offering of this place compared to other Chinese restaurants is the Northern Chinese dishes, and they are fairly authentic! Spicy bbq lamb with cumin is terrific - while it's fairly common in China, it's hard to find in SLC. They also offered shredded pork with peking sauce, which is really common in beijing, but its the first time I saw a restaurant in slc offering this dish, and its delicious. Other recommended dishes include beef roll with green onion and cilantro, lotus stir fry, szechuan twice cooked pork belly. Overall, the service, price and taste are all good! We will be back again to try other dishes :)

Google
Very nice chinese food with home cooking style. A tiny bit too salty for my taste but over all a great place to get delicious food.

This place was everything we hoped it would be. Our family dined there for lunch today and the food was incredible. Having lived in Taiwan, this is the food I miss the most. The dishes were truly authentic and really hit the spot. The service was excellent as well. Can’t wait to go back to this spot again. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Taiwanese food. Update: returned last week and the food is still amazing!! Added some more photos. Also, thank you for subbing tofu in my eggplant dish. It was so good and I appreciate you accommodating me being a vegetarian. Love this place so much!

Look, I just came back from a trip to Taiwan, and all I can say is, "Taipei, y'all better step up your game!" The dishes here are homemade and no shortcuts!!! We ordered the shrimp, pork, leek dumpling, minced pork noodles, and seaweed wonton soup. Would have taken more pics of the dishes, but I was too busy eating.

Google
We visited this place in search of authentic Chinese cuisine, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were excellent, especially the San Bei Ji (Three-Cup Chicken) The dish had the perfect balance of sweetness and savory soy sauce, which paired wonderfully with fresh white rice. The portion sizes were generous, and the overall experience was good. We’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes on the menu. I would recommend for anyone looking for a genuine Chinese food experience!

Google
Dine in experience is really bad compared to takeout. No service at all and everything is self serve - the waiter never checks in on us or asks if we need anything. We have to get napkins/water refill ourselves. Ordered a couple of entrees and they are not timed well. Took them over 1 hour to prepare all the dishes and we almost forgot about the lotus when it finally came out. I strongly suggest ordering takeout instead of sitting in the restaurant given the experience. In terms of the food, they did a better job with Taiwanese dishes compared to Szechuan dishes. I recommend popcorn chicken, soybean paste noodles, pan fried buns, ribs with potatoes. Not recommend braised pork, spicy boild fish (only a couple of fillets!) Also very small portion!!

Google
Interesting little hole-in-the-wall place with pretty good food. It looks a little ghetto or run down and the service could use some improvement (two different servers that were not very attentive or proactive), but the food was quite tasty and enjoyable. We loved the dumplings and the decor inside.

Paige Valois

Google
Little mom and pop type of restaurant. Wide variety of dishes. Not your average Americanized Chinese food - this stuff is amazing. They also have Korean, Thai, etc dishes, so you can pick many flavor profiles. I had the garlic green beans and kimchi green onion fried rice. Both were extremely delicious! The service was quick and friendly. I can't wait to come back with several friends to try many dishes together.

Yelp
I've been eating here for many years. I have tried other kimchi fried rice and nothing else compares. The fried dumplings with pork and green onion are amazing. The inside could use a little facelift, but the vibe is super casual and the service staff is also just as casual. I have told myself I will try other things on the menu (we have had the chicken and cilantro dumplings too which are great) but this is our go-to order. They have some very authentic Chinese dishes if that's your thing but the broad menu should be great for any palette

Yelp
I had high expectations but was quite disappointed. The popcorn chicken was not good. There was a lot of flour with not much meat. It was not crispy and what's worse, the chicken was a bit tough. The size was also small considering it costs $10.99. I didn't like the Mom's mala noodles. Was not very mala but very sour. I think they accidentally added too much vinegar. My friend didn't know what dish it was and thought it was sour and spicy noodles. (I like sour and spicy noodles but this was not it) The only dish I was satisfied with was the intestine. It tasted good. Wish a free bowl of rice could come with each entree though. Overall this place was overpriced/portions were very small. Food was alright. My friends said its quality has declined. I probably won't come back.

Yelp
Came here to try some different chinese dishes. Glad I did. Didn't realize Id find such a good spot in Salt Lake City. The cold beef shank and tendon was very flavorful and the spicy intestines was very good as well. I realize that most people would be like wtf? Intestines? But they were outstanding, nice blend of spice and veggies. The cold beef shank had a really good flavor to it as well. The dumplings were also tasty but didn't stand out as much as the other two dishes. If you are looking for the typical run of the mill fake ass chinese food like "orange chicken" this isnt the place for you. But if you want to get a taste of some real authentic dishes, this place will hit the spot for sure!

Yelp
Mom's Kitchen is an underground classic in SLC. Everytime we go it is always delicious! The staff is always friendly and the food comes out quickly yet perfect every time. It is a cute family restaurant and a must-go in the city!

Yelp
So we are here for our annual Park City ski trip and looking to try new restaurants. We were craving Chinese/Taiwanese food and checked out Mom's. Cucumber salad - this was delicious and elevated compared to other cucumber salads. Beijing meat pie was like a scallion pancake and a fried dumpling had a baby. Delish. Mom's homemade dumplings were excellent. Mom's fried rice with Taiwanese sausage and shrimp was perfect. It's a white fried rice without all that oil and soy sauce. It's totally my style. You will be punished if you play with your chopsticks.
google avatar

Sean A.

Yelp
This was excellent, the dim sum items were all good and to say the portions are generous is an understatement. All the dumplings we had and the cucumber salad were all excellent. If I'm ever driving through Salt Lake City again I'll definitely stop by.

Amy N.

Yelp
Classic & authentic Chinese food. Don't go here if you want a "panda" experience. We got the Mo-Bo tofu, Green Beans & Garlic, and turnip cake for two. Delicious!

Yelp
Mom's Kitchen is one of my new favorite hidden gems! We found out about Mom's Kitchen through word of mouth. People had told us that the food was absolutely incredible so we were excited to give it a go. They did not disappoint--we loved it! Upon walking up to the building, there are several signs in two different languages talking about outside drinks, and a few other topics. I suppose they've had issues in the past, but it's still a little weird to have a bunch of these signs bombarding you, as you walk in. Once we walked inside, we saw the kitchen to the right and the lobby to the left. The lobby was quite outdated but nevertheless, it had a lot of charm to it. There was plenty of tables available to us, which was nice! At the table, they had some sauces and they also had another sign about kids not messing with the chopsticks, as it is seen as disrespectful in their culture. The menus were huge, both in size and quantity. Admittedly, it's a bit difficult to understand the menu as they're just numbered and we couldn't find a pattern. There were certain veggies in the beginning of the book, and then more near the end of the book. Many of their menu items looked delicious, so my friends and I opted for "family style". We were losing track of the numbers so each of us remembered one number from the menu, when it was time to order. We got some of the white rice, spicy pork, spicy cauliflower, buns, fried gyoza, and green beans. Everything was really good and there wasn't really any dish I didn't like. However, one dish definitely stood out from the rest. The green beans were so freaking good. They had garlic with them and just tasted out of this world good. We only had one person working FOH during our visit but she was amazing. She did a great job with refills, everything came out quick and correct. The overall vibes at Mom's Kitchen feel quite a bit outdated, but it also has a home-y feel to it. I think the signs everywhere are a bit passive aggressive. I mean, I am sure they had a few issues behind the signs but a lot of restaurants have issues with customers--that doesn't always make them hang signs everywhere about it. The menu items themselves are awesome and we loved our food. Though, I do think that they could reorganize their menu to make it easier to read and decide the order. The service was great and it was an awesome experience throughout. We would definitely visit Mom's Kitchen again for the authenticity and the delicious menu items!

Yelp
Very flavorful and a variety of dishes to choose from. I would try pretty much everything on the menu if I could. The mom's special steamed dumplings takes a bit of time to cook, so I would order that first, as soon as you get it. It's a must try!!! They have special sauce too along with the chili sauce that goes so so well with it. I ordered Fish with Chili Bean Sauce for entre which was delicious, I got rice for side. What I also enjoyed was the Taro Turnip Cake with Pork Sausage, crunchy on the inside and soft inside. Service is pretty fast. The staff is very friendly. They have plenty of tables so it's not much of a wait time. It also depends on the time of the day. We went way after the lunchtime rush hour.

Yelp
I really wanted to support Chinese restaurants that don't serve "American Chinese food" if you know what I mean. But this restaurant really disappointed us. The braised pork was terrible - wrong seasoning, very slim and dry meat... we just could not believe a Chinese kitchen could mess up with this super classic Chinese dish. The recipe for braised pork - no matter it's on the sweeter side or on the more savory side - should still be good in general, but this one was just unacceptable to us. The rest of what we ordered were nothing truly worth mentioning, if you frequent Chinese restaurants. I mean the veggie stir-fry was good and fresh; the beef and cilantro rolls recommended by everyone were ok because while the beef tasted good and pretty homey, the dough was pretty hard to chew; and the mom's stuffed pork buns were not like the ones from Shanghai but just meat buns with one side that got pan seared a bit. The meat still felt fresh though. Overall, we would not order again from this place.... Sad...

Yelp
Great Taiwanese food served family style. Reasonable prices. Modest ambiance. Highly recommended

Yelp
Such a gem of a find while stopping in SLC. The run down exterior was a bit intimidating, but the pick up process was smooth. Mom's spicy cold noodles with peanut was one of the best things I ate in my stop in SLC. The sauce was so addicting with its nuttiness and its Szechuan numbing spice. Sauce was so good, I ended up dipping my dumplings in it. The stuffed pork buns was up there in tastiness too. Dense, porky, and filling to the stomach. Definitely a must try for any fan of "authentic" Chinese food.

Yelp
I went in search of some good dumplings. Mom's Kitchen has been on my radar so today is the day. - fried dumplings with pork and green onions: crispy on the bottom; the pork was juicy; overall pretty good - dumplings with pork & cilantro: juicy; the cilantro flavor was pretty strong; just okay - dumplings with pork, leek and shrimp: best flavor of the three; nice blend of flavors Pork wonto soup: the broth was super bland; the wonton has a decent amount of meat and not as bland as the broth Overall, this is an okay place but I would rather spend my money elsewhere for dumplings.

Yelp
This place is definitely authentic and not everyone's style. However, it is delicious! The food is wonderful for take out, and it bursts with flavor. We've tried the buns and some other items. Everything was wonderful! The service is fast and accurate. I've only ordered takeout from her, and every order has been correct.
google avatar

Yelp
We got a variety of things from the menu. Overall, a solid 4-star place. The popcorn chicken, beef roll, leek pie, and green beans were the favorites amongst my siblings. We all agreed the braised beef noodle soup was disappointing...not enough flavor at all. Portions were a little small for an Asian, family-style restaurant. Service was pretty quick, but only one lady was serving all the tables!

Kai T.

Yelp
First of all, my expectations may be too high. I was looking for an authentic Chinese food in the area and this restaurant has decent reviews. I was quite disappointed. The waitress was not very friendly to start with. The menu book was dirty and sticky. I ordered a traditional Sichuan dish (水煮肉片 Boiled Pork). Even though there were only 2 customers at that time, it took almost 25 minutes for the food to come out. Meat was not even marinated, dry and without any flavor. This is probably one of the worst one I've had anywhere. I hope other dishes will better.

Matthew B.

Yelp
We were given a recommendation to visit this great new Chinese restaurant. "Mom's Kitchen." As we pulled in I immediately recognized it and said, We've eaten here before." Sure enough, I found my review from last year. We had a new dish which sounded and looked wonderful, "Beef with Rice Noodle" soup. Noodles were wonderful, and beef was tender and tasty; however, the broth was lacking the deep beef flavor that I was expecting. I believe that the cilantro must have been on sale at the market, because the cilantro was too obvious. We were greeted and waited upon by polite and effluent staff. Our dining partners included families of Chinese descent and conversing in Mandarin. We will gladly return!

Yelp
As the restaurant's title suggests, the food has the comforting, familiar flavors you'd look for in a home-cooked meal. Staff were really nice. Decorations were festive.

Yelp
Amazing food, service and friendly staff. Plus they have your food ready in no time. Love this place!!!

Yelp
Legit Chinese/Taiwanese restaurant! It does not specialize in particular regional cuisines but serves a mix dishes from north to south of China, it did a good job. We visited mom's kitchen on a Tuesday around 1pm, tried the stir fry a-choy, stir fry flat noodles with pork, cold appetizer of beef tendon and beef shank, all are decently flavored. To our surprise, they also served some Korean and Thai dishes. We tried the thai style spicy chicken. Again a delight to eat. Will definitely come back for other dishes if I am in town.

Yelp
There weren't many choices for Chinese food in Salt Lake City area, so we were excited to find and try Mom's Kitchen, which a friend suggested to have authentic Taiwanese food. A mom and pop shop that offers a variety of dishes, Mom's Kitchen is more of Chinese restaurant that serves some Taiwanese dishes. The flavor profile is more mainland Chinese than authentic Taiwanese. We tried the following: Popcorn Chicken: not true Taiwanese flavor. The small diced chicken bits were too hard, dry and oily, unlike the authentic juicy, crispy, flavorful popcorn chicken you'd get elsewhere. Will not order this again. Beef Roll: this is the first time that I had the beef roll where the beef was cold inside the wrap, which made this roll unpleasant to eat; the sauce was on the minimal side too. Below average Thai Style Spicy and Hot Chicken: average and on the dry side Shrimp Fried Rice: one of the better dishes we had for the meal Shredded Pork with Peking Sauce: tofu skin's texture was too hard and dry which made it unpleasant to eat; I prefer to wrap the shredded pork with soft flour skin  that other restaurants often serve with this dish Green Beans with Intestine: this is the best dish of all the items we ordered. The intestine was cleaned well and cooked nicely, and there was no foul smell. Overall, we were a bit disappointed by the food, but as long as you're not expecting authentic Taiwanese food, you can try a variety of Chinese dishes here. Flavor was on the salty side for all dishes, and the serving size was a bit small too.

Yelp
We ordered delivery, which arrived one minute before my selected time. The eggplant is very hot and delicious, which is lovely. The pork and cilantro dumplings are top notch! Everything is very good! I'm so impressed and comforted to have real fried rice, not brown stuff. Everything is delicious and fulfills my cravings. Thank you all at Mom's Kitchen!! What an asset for Salt Lake!! I'll be trying more soon!!

Yelp
Taste good, just take a little long to get the food usually well about 10 to 20 minutes, but it deserve

Yelp
Happy to over charge. Good food with a very deep cost. If your food of $100!kis delivered not there problem. FYI order at your own convenience

Yelp
Basically 5 stars for surprisingly legit Jing Jian rou si. It was my favorite dish while living in China back in 2006-2007, and very few places in North America get it right. Pork and sauce were good, the green onions were sliced lengthwise, and it even came with the little tofu wrappers! Beef soup was very enjoyable, sort of a Taiwanese beef noodle soup without the mustard / tang to it. All in all a great meal on the road, and it's always fun to visit a restaurant that can do very different things well. :)

Yelp
This is definitely authentic Chinese please. You know where do you have sticky tables and lots of crumbs and dust on the floor. but the food is really good. At first we were hesitant looking at the menu. But then we decided on shrimp, fried rice, Kung, pow, chicken, and shrimp, and fried Chinese bread with condensed milk. Everything was delicious the Kung pao was crispy with lots of roasted peanuts, spicy and large onion shallots. My son love the fried rice, it hatch, top yellow onions, green onions, scrambled yellow eggs and lightly sautéed shrimp. The Chinese fried bread is a real treat. Everything was serve, hot, and just made nothing had been sitting under lamps. We will definitely get takeout.
google avatar

Jack W.

Yelp
Every dish is authentic and delicious. You can order whatever and it'll come out tasting good.
google avatar

Sabrina S.

Yelp
This is a authentic Taiwanese restaurant. No frills of ambience but the food is good. I felt like I was in that game called Diner Dash where one waitress has to serve all of the patrons by herself with a few cooks in the kitchen. That's how this place is. Do not expect attentive serve or clean bathrooms. This is a hole in the wall restaurant that's very short staffed but if you're patient for the food it's sort of worth it. I had their beef shank soup with flat rice noodles. We also had the bean thread noodles with ground pork and their crispy chicken in some sweet soy sauce. Good meal overall but when you get to the end of your meal, go up to the counter to pay your bill and ask for a Togo container then. Do not waste your time waiting for them to check you out. You will be waiting a long time for that service.

Yelp
Been going to Mom's since I moved to Utah ( so probably 7 years by now). Chinese restaurants here come and go like crazy, but mom's always has been my to-go comfort food probably because it tastes very "Beijing-ish". My husband visited Beijing last month and can finally agree on how legit the food is. We went in to order some meat pie and and onion cakes. Tho they were abt to close (we messed up due to incorrect time on yelp), they let us order and added one last order in. People are always nice there and it always feels and tastes like home. I've also see many ppl on here giving low reviews since certain things are not like how they thought it should be. Funny enough, the dish with the exact name can be prepared differently based on region in China, and people jokingly said it's a culture war on social media how it's supposed to be. A lot of the dishes here are legit Beijing style. It might not be what you expected but doesn't mean it's not legit.

Yelp
So I've always wanted to try Mom's Kitchen, and today was finally the day. We opted for some different options. Griddle cooked pork intestines with red and green peppers and onion, spicy pepper intestines, green beans, pan fried stuffed buns, cold noodle with spicy peanut sauce, & three sauce chicken. I can say this definitely was a great place to try your not so average Chinese Taiwanese food. I love a good authentic restaurant and this really did feel like your grandma cooked ya up a meal made with love in the back. Here's my official rating on the food we tried. Griddle cooked pork intestines with red and green bell pepper and onion 8 out of 10 Green beans 7.5 out of 10 Pan fried stuffed pork buns 9 out of 10 (soft yet nice little pan fry crunch on the bottom (pro tip) mix the soy sauce, a little vinegar and the chili oil that's on the table and dip your pork buns in that! Cold noodle with spicy peanut sauce 7.5 out of 10 (noodles were nice and bouncy and had a little kick and crunch with the cucumber in every bite so good and refreshing Spicy pepper intestines 8 out of 10 (I love intestines!). The main reason I wanted to come try this place Three sauce chicken 5 out of 10 (sweet and a little too savory for my liking) Overall 7.5 out of 10 and definitely recommend! The service was quick and food came out promptly. Another pro tip is to make sure you add a bowl of rice with the dishes. Sucks it doesn't just come with rice, you have to order a side. Nice little mom n pop type of place (cozy) I will definitely be back to try other things!

Yelp
We were in town from Seattle looking for a Chinese restaurant to celebrate lunar new year at. When we walked in they were upfront that it was going to be an hour long wait to get food. Appreciated that they were upfront and the food was delicious and worth the wait. Our favorites were the green beans and eggplant with pork and basil. Definitely seems like a family owned restaurant and would recommend to anyone looking for a good bite of food in SLC.

Yelp
TLDR: Really good 3 Cups Chicken So... we wanted to try Chinese food in Salt Lake City. How would it be, in a city with only 1% of the population is Chinese? Verdict is... mmmm okay? I'm born here, and I know what Chinese food was like in the 80s. It wasn't good... catered heavily to Americans. I feel like the Chinese scene here in SLC is similar... catering Chinese food to Americans. But I could see there's some dishes that were for the Chinese palate. Like 3Cups Chicken. It was surprisingly good! The sauce was rich, and very flavorful. However, the chicken itself was a bit uneven. Some were perfectly moist and those pieces tasted excellent! Especially with the sauce. But other pieces were dry. If they could cook them all consistently, I think they would definitely have a winner! We also got the SJB (sheng jian bao), but it's the old-school type... with the white floury bun. However my wife noticed that the skin wasn't as dense as the normal old-style SJB. So we think perhaps these were handmade. However, another knock against it was it wasn't juicy at all. The inside was a bit dry. They aren't my favorite, despite the airy outside (think Steamed BBQ Pork bun). Finally, my wife ordered soup, because she was really hankering for some. It was the sour cabbage soup. I liked the noodles, but she thought the whole thing was too oily. As a side note, in someone else's review, they thought it's not authentic Taiwanese food. We agree. My wife said when she could hear their mandarin had a north eastern accent. Overall, the food was ok. A couple hits, some misses.
google avatar

Connie S.

Yelp
I love good Taiwanese food and this place did not disappoint! My friend said she liked it so she took me yesterday since I'm visiting. We ordered the Beijing meat pie, moms pan fried stuffed buns and the Taiwanese noodles with ground pork. They were all sooo good and it was all only $30. Would definitely come back again! Edit - we already came back a day later lol. This time we ordered the Chinese omelet, beef noodle stew and kimchi fried rice with pork. Everything was delicious again! Total was $34. Can't say enough good things about the quality of their food!

Yelp
Ok for traditional food. Taste was ok. Pricing too much. I would try again if in the area.

Yelp
Love this place. Such variety and the whole menu b is good from top to bottom. Been several times and usually try to order something needed, last time my friend made me order kubg pao chicken and was surprised with how good it was.

Yelp
Mom's Kitchen specializes in Northern Chinese, home style Chinese, and Taiwanese cooking, according to what is written in Chinese on the sign. Since we based what to order on Yelp reviews, we ended up with mostly Taiwanese dishes. Stir-Fried Taiwanese Cabbage This is a solid, light veggie dish. Beef Roll Flavor-wise, this dish was tasty. However, the dish as a whole would've been better if the beef had been thinly sliced. Oyster Pancake I do not recommend this dish. The ratio of egg to tapioca starch was off; it should be more like an omelette than a pancake. Seaweed Wonton Soup This was solid and packaged well for takeout. TLDR: While Mom's Kitchen is known for Taiwanese cuisine, the non-Taiwanese dishes may be worth a try. IMHO the Taiwanese Beef Roll and Oyster Pancake weren't worth a special visit. I'm bumping my review up a star because restaurants need love right now and nothing was bad.

Yelp
You want authentic, yummy Chinese food in Salt Lake City? This is the place. I'm visiting and as a Chinese person, I'm picky hehe. I found Mom's Kitchen through a friend and have been here three times in the past two weeks. I absolutely love their Seaweed and Egg Soup Bowl. Oooooh, that soup is delicious and I could drink it every day. I also got the Green Onion Cake. So good. I'm typing this at 1 am on a Tuesday. Yes, I tried ordering this tonight (Monday night) and I was so sad it was closed Mondays. So, here I am writing this review instead. I will probably order for my next dinner (Tuesday hehe)

Yelp
Two must haves from mom's- the green beans and the Pan Fried Buns. Everything else we had was also incredible but those two dishes really stood out
google avatar

Rose H.

Yelp
Mom's Kitchen is the best authentic home-cooked-meal Chinese restaurant in the SLC area. It's not going to be "Americanized" Chinese food, so maybe go to Panda Express if you are seeking the likes of Orange Chicken. The main warning I would give is to dine in rather than get take-out; the food just tastes much better as dine-in. Here are some of the dishes I've tried and loved- - Beef noodle soup - Chive, pork, shrimp dumplings - Mom's chow mein - Braised pork rib and potato stew with glass noodles - Pan fried pork buns - Taiwanese popcorn fried chicken

Yelp
Hole-in-the-wall. Family run. Authentic. Flavorful. Quality. All these came to mind when we left Mom's Kitchen after a long day on the slopes, craving some good Taiwanese food. We were looking for a place to eat before heading to the airport on our way out of Park City and I found this place on Yelp. The menu and some photos looked good, and since our group grew up eating our real Moms' food (at least half the group with Taiwanese moms), we had to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised at the bold flavors, the authentic Taiwanese tastes, and the reasonable prices. We ended up ordering 9 dishes (see photos, not included were cucumber salad, basil eggplant, and the small dumplings, along with rice and hot tea), and the total for 6 hungry guys was $93. Is that not amazing or what? The night before, we went to a place where that was the price for two people. Bear in mind half our group regularly frequents Din Tai Fung in LA or SD and Taiwanese places in Arcadia, Alhambra, and San Gabriel, and we all agreed this was a solid place to come back to next time. My only gripe was the popcorn chicken was overcooked, and one of our friends was disappointed there was no Boba, but otherwise we were all ready to come back for our second visit. --------TL;DR-------- PROS: reasonable prices, fantastic authentic Taiwanese flavors, small business/hole-in-the-wall feel to it, food was made fresh, piping hot, and came out as they made it. They took a reservation for 6 about 2 hours in advance and had the table ready when we went in (it's kind of a small place). The name really fits the cuisine. It does taste like "real" mom's kitchen. CONS: popcorn chicken was over fried (possibly just this time, as I saw some photos of it done right), no Boba, maybe low on staff (only one waitress was there for a Sunday lunch, with the kitchen going full steam). BOTTOM LINE: Definitely check this place out! Next time I come to SLC, I'll visit again for another authentic Taiwanese meal.

Yelp
Authentic Taiwanese food. It's very good, the food always comes out fast and we can always find a table. The menu has photos now which makes ordering new dishes even easier. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
The food was decent. Might be better as take out, since it took forever for each dish to come out. The service was not great.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. The smashed cucumbers are unreal. The green beans were also amazing. We also got the shrimp fried rice and kung pao chicken too! I think about this place all the time! Wish it was closer so I could go more often!

Yelp
LOVED IT. Great service, family run. The food was amazing and they have all the good authentic stuff. Super underrated, i loved everything about it. 10/10 would come again and bring people with me. Great for groups or just couples, or even by yourself. Will not be disappointed

Yelp
We were so excited to get this delivered to us. But boy were we disappointed. Here are the things we tried: -Kimchi fried rice 3/5: they did not use fermented kimchi and therefore, it did not taste like kimchi. It lacked sourness and flavor. -Beef chow me in 2/5: lacked flavor...was such a basic noodle dish. Could have used more of everything, salt, sweet, and spicy -Beef roll 3/5: meat was tough and dry; they put a ton of green onion which can be off putting for some -Mapo tofu: 4/5 Knocking off a star because these dishes are overpriced! All of this plus a side of rice totaling to $62.

Yelp
Ordered pick-up. Great food and value for money. Good serving size for the price they charge and very flavorful dishes. They also pack the ones with sauce carefully so they don't leak in the bag- this made a great first impression! I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
When my family walked into the restaurant on a Saturday around 4:30 PM, there were only two other diners. I asked if we could sit at a round table since there were five of us and was abruptly told, "no". Maybe that should have been my first clue to leave but decided to stick around. We ordered the following: Green onion pancakes: small serving and not worth the price A barbecue beef roll: came out cold and less than inspirational Fried dumplings: pretty good Chicken with flat rice noodles: tasty Steamed buns: tasty Green onions with garlic: delicious Spicy shredded pork: tasty but a bit spicier than what I like but I still enjoyed it. So splitting the difference between how we were treated and the food, I probably wouldn't return.

Yelp
This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside or on the inside, but it was the best Chinese food we could find in Salt Lake City, without preparing it ourselves. The Chinese broccoli (Kai Lan), was nicely sautéed and flavorful. The pork eggplant was decent. The Ma Po Tofu was just okay. The restroom was cramped and dark but at least it didn't seem dirty. The main server was very brusque and never cracked a smile. Perhaps she's not treated well. There was a younger, shorter server who was actually much nicer, and she even smiled at my daughter. I don't do well when I don't get enough Chinese vegetables in my diet, so at least the goal of getting some veggies in me was accomplished, but it's important not to expect much of the atmosphere while dining here.

Yelp
Excellent, authentic food at a good price. Try the egg + tomato and cat ear noodle soup!
