"If Route 100 is the region's quintessential drive, then the shire of Woodstock is its archetypal town. My mom and I have developed a certain intimacy with the place over the course of our many visits, so we quickly lapse into a routine: maple scones at Mon Vert Cafe, hiking along the trails of Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, browsing our favorite shops on Central Street."

"Owner Samantha DiNatale purchased the cafe from previous owners in 2015 and has since expanded the chalet-style house into a 3,100-square-foot space with two floors of seating plus a patio. Be sure to order the Monte Vert Cristo, a savory challah French toast sandwich with pan-fried ham and melty Cabot cheese that comes with a side of real maple syrup. The menu has an extensive vegan and vegetarian selection that ranges from breakfast burritos to mushroom sandwiches, with fresh bread from Vermont’s Red Hen Baking." - Valerie Li Stack

Mon Vert Café is a small but super cool spot with a laid-back, artsy vibe. It has a cozy, low-cost feel that makes it a great place to relax and enjoy some amazing food and coffee. One of the best parts? They serve alcoholic drinks! We had a mimosa made with prosecco and organic, farm-raised apples—absolutely delicious. Plus, they don’t cheat out on the alcohol, which makes the apple cider mimosa even better. The vibe is fantastic, and they even serve drinks in real glassware, which adds to the experience. Located in a very walkable area, Mon Vert Café is definitely a must-visit when in Woodstock, Vermont. Highly recommend checking it out!

This place was so cute and the food and coffees were amazing. Such a cute old house looking coffee shop, with such a cozy atmosphere. A great place for parents with their little ones, friends, or a cute coffee date place, or just grab your laptop/book and enjoy your time alone as well. Loved it so much. 🥰

Cute little cafe in the heart of Woodstock that offers a good selection of breakfast and lunch items (including all day breakfast!). They have a nice variety of items from hot sandwiches to bakery items and a wide selection of coffees and teas. Everything seems local or locally inspired and the prices are decent considering the tourist-heavy area. Being one of the few places to get lunch in the area means that they get busy and overcrowded pretty easily. You have to hope you are fast enough to snag one of their limited tables or you are out of luck. It also took 25 minutes to get our sandwich and burrito, so don't come here if you're in a rush. The food itself was tasty and hit the spot on a beautiful fall day.

Walk in at 0800, first time here. Ordered 2 lattes and a Monte Cristo. Small eclectic place. Not to much seating noted. Staff is very friendly and makes suggestions. Love that it is small business. No noted chains around the area, a plus!!! MC was bomb. The chocolate croissant is light and airy and the chocolate was smooth. The MC with the contrast of bitter cheese and sweet French toast, a perfect sandwich. A must stop for anyone. Come and help small businesses.

This was a very popular cafe when we came on a Saturday around 1pm. It was a half hour wait to get to the counter to order and then it took another half hour to get the food. You pick up your drinks at the counter after they call your name. I got the Florence-woody wrap along with a bit matcha latte. They didn’t put any sweetener in the latte or ask what kind of milk I wanted, but it does appear that they have alternative milks. There is free wifi I you’d like to study and there’s seating upstairs. We

This place runs like a well oiled machine. It was absolutely slammed due to most restaurants in town being closed for Xmas eve and the entire staff hustled while being sweet as pie. Food and drinks were good for a quick bite + we love all organic!! Worth stopping in even if just for the latte + the cute vibe of the place

Monte Vert Cristo & classic Sando were delicious. We liked how everything was local and fresh. The vibes were great for a chill Saturday morning. Very busy, but the line moved fast and it was easy to find a table for two. Bigger groups had a harder time finding tables.

Popular place for breakfast. Staff is super swift. Food is great. I recommend the Avao Good Morning with veggie sausage. Across the street, Mon Vert Mini, equally as good as a Grab and Go.
