Nice bar (the bar is great) great staff, great atmosphere, but the downstairs masquerade party is dealing with a very whack young DJ- playing same beat on loop, with a completely empty dance floor (the whole time), and refused (the only) request (for a birthday song- White Horse) for a group of 12 people, with masquerade masks, who came to dance, drink, celebrate, and have fun. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 People are sitting standing and waiting around, waiting for a better DJ. Hopefully they’ll switch out soon. The upstairs DJ is better. Stay upstairs! Spending zero on drinks.

If you are looking for a underground nightclub Phill this is a place to be. If you are more one who likes pop music is definitely won’t be your type. Be careful outside because there are extreme amount of homeless and drug use right as you walk out the venue.

The downstairs floor is a nice atmosphere but if you're going to have a theme night, please follow the theme. Went for a Charli xcx night and after midnight they changed djs and were only playing generic club songs. Not what I paid for. If you're going for a basic club night yes it does the job but if you want anything more, prepare to be disappointed.

i love the free photo machine here! for the drinks, the thai tea one is really good; and they have a dance floor downstairs!

First night out in SF and this place was lots of fun! We came for some house music downstairs and it started out mellow around 10 and got packed by 11:30, had to go out for some fresh air a couple of times. The bartender that served us was awesome. The photobooth was super fun. We danced the night away and met some eccentric peeps. There is also a really cool speakeasy close by which is now my fav place for food and drinks.

Cool spot to hang out. Music was nice. Good vibes. DJ Nadz had some afro beats! Bring her back!!!

Chill DJ'd music, atmospheric small place (only top floor was open when I visited on Easter Sunday). Really enjoyed the samples from popular music and tv woven into the electronics / EDM. Bartender made a bomb Manhattan.

They have a bar upstairs and a dance floor / club downstairs. There are some good house DJs that play downstairs and it stays open until 4am on weekends, but usually there is a $20 cover.

It's time to wake up from the Dreamforce hangover since Dreamforce ended just like another Summer in San Francisco. I attended an event to celebrate the Nonprofit Community called "The Engagement Party " at Monarch in SOMA. The proceeds of the event were to benefit the organization Amplify. The Monarch Night Club is located on the corner of 6th and Mission in San Francisco which has an interesting outdoor environment. It is Nextdoor to the tapas bar The Pawn Shop. The event had DJ's spinning upstairs and downstairs this venue. There was also a Circus Soleil type of performer spinning around the bar where I was drinking from. This was a 4X the open bar event since they had four different bars with open bars. The drink menu was curated and I had to start a few drinks called " Fundraiser up Old Fashioned" it contained Angel's Envy Bourbon, Simple Syrup, and some different types of bitters and it had a smooth taste and was kept on repeat. Then I had the "Blackthorn Blanco" Cazadores Blanco Tequila, Ghost Pepper Cardamon Syrup, Prickly Pear, Agave, Lime which was a good follow up drink . Then I tried the "Formassembly Fizz" which had Grey Goose Vodka, Thai Chai Tea, Ginger Beer, and Lemon. This drink was very sour like biting into sour lemon. As someone who had the drink earlier described it to me as similar to the Beetle Juice Cocktail " The Sand-worm Slayer" but on the sour side . It was too sour for me. One try was enough for me. The rest of the drinks throughout the night had some type of whiskey in it. The music went from pop to hip hop and to electronic music and mashups. The people in attendance were from all around the USA and Canada ( team Canada represented ). It was a good mix of people in the For-profit and Nonprofit world having fun in this part of the planet San Francisco. The party seems to end up on street corners of 6th and Mission as there was a different party going on already outside in the area at night. I look forward to another Dreamforce next year. At least there is SF Tech week to look forward in early October and an event a few doors down. I deleted my initial review and rewrote this, because my friends and I had a GREAT TIME at Monarch and Green Gorilla Lounge. The staff were really nice and encouraged us to stay- AND THEY WERE RIGHT. Initially, the first DJ (Maria) was so awful and unpersonable- we headed out (she just kept replaying the same loops -the dance floor was empty the entire time she was there). Then we discovered Marissa/Jeff upstairs, and they were fun, with great energy (and really nice and happy- which was infectious). We danced until we got tired. The guys at the door convinced us to stay for Mark Farina and they were right- he was worth the wait. He was really nice too! Sadly- we had to head out an hour into his show, but it was a fun night with great music. Great staff, great drinks, and fun people.

I haven't been out dancing in a lot of years but my bf and I got a good vibe from this club as we walked past it so after dropping some stuff off at our hotel, we decided to go have a cpl of drinks and dance, as an empath I can get overwhelmed if there's too much negative energy, this club had a mellow vibe from everyone from the bartenders, door person, security, even the club owner, the energy inviting and fun . Definitely will visit again in the future! Love the atmosphere and the music

This is recommended as a must have. Tasty and refreshing drink. The ambiance was private and pleasant. Great customer service. Really enjoy ourselves.

This venue is awesome. We were waiting for our table at The Pawn Shop, we enjoyed a cocktail (which was absolutely delicious) and caught a few lovely memories in the free photobooth! I love the vibe of this place, and the design motif throughout the rooms is truly cool. They even have a hanging hoop for performers, which can be viewed from the bar or the dance floor. The basement level opens up later in the evening, serving an entirely different vibe! What a lovely surprise. Will definitely be back!

I came here to hear one of my favorite artists and really enjoyed the ambiance of the place. Great decorations and the dance floor downstairs was small enough to feel intimate along with enough room for everyone. I loved how they had a hard kombucha with was tasty and sat in my stomach right. There was also another smaller dance floor when you walk in along with some couches. The place had a lot of plants and options if you didn't want to dance. There are chairs, a photo booth and the comfy couches offering people a chance to sit down comfortably and get to have conversations. Really loved the venue and music, I recommend if someone wants to check out a new spot.

Came here on a Saturday night. A really cool spot with a lot of rooms and vibes. The drinks were good and the owner/manager was a nice guy. The area surrounding it isn't terrible, but just keep your head on a swivel. I was hesitant to pay a $20 cover, but I figured that's how much a drink costs, so why not. However, the check in person was really rude. There was no line and I made a mistake counting a few friends for cover and she yelled at me for accidentally saying 3 instead of 4. Whoops? I hadn't paid yet, so she could've just re-adjusted it. That ruined my first impression, so I probably won't come back.

Meant to only go to the bathroom from The Pawn Shop and ended up at a bar next door, Monarch! Such a cool surprise! We ordered the Sakura and the Crystalis! Both very good drinks. Our favorite was the photobooth! They were free to take unlimited pictures. Definitely a must after The Pawn Shop!

This place is one of my favorites clubs in SF. They book a lot of awesome DJs and the sound system downstairs is fantastic. The first time I was in here I had no idea what it had to offer. I was upstairs at the bar but I could feel bass rumbling from somewhere. I started looking for it and found myself downstairs. Love at first sight. Outside of the venue is sketchy so try to stay near the door where they have security.

We came here after getting food and drinks at the pawn shop. I literally never knew there was a club here, I always avoided 6th and geary because of all the scary sh*t outside. It wasn't worth risking my life walking up that street lol. This place has multiple levels and they play techno / edm / BM type of music. They had an aerial hoops artist performing which was super cool. You can wear literally whatever you want here, fluffy fur jackets, no jacket, super clubbey or sweatpants and t shirt . Everyone was really friendly and nice and good vibes. Not my type of music at all, but great if your into burning man kind of vibes. Free water !

A pretty cool bar which also has a yelp deal when you check in. They have a downstairs that opens up into a club later in the night. They do have restrooms (although the downstairs ones aren't as good). They have a free photo booth which is super cool! The drinks are tasty but there is a limited selection. The bartenders and super nice and chatty when free!

Love this place! Been going there for years! Good drinks. Cool staff. Great sound, great ambiance upstairs, unground club downstairs! Who doesn't love that?

This place is trash and the vibes are way off. The bathrooms smell like someone urinated all over every inch. There are only 3 one stall bathrooms in this place. The downstairs area is extremely hot and felt like a sauna. It was also way too crowded. Something from their pipes overhead was dripping onto my face; so gross. The people who work here have also an awful attitude and all seem like they are on something. The bouncer at the front separated me and my boyfriend telling me he didn't say I could move forward when it was very clear I was with a group of people. The way he said this was extremely rude. The owner seems off too. He walked by us, asked how our night was going and then when I even began to answer his question he just walked away. No one told us we couldn't have water bottles in the venue either. That should have been explained to us at the door or even prior given that everyone had just come from a festival. Lastly, Megan needs to fix her attitude. She is passive aggressive to guests and needs to get her head out of her ass. Overall, hard pass on this venue. Major Ghost Ship vibes.

Didn't realize I never reviewed Monarch! This is one of my all time favorite bar/lounge/club in SF. It's probably the most San Franciscan nightclubs. I love how they have multiple areas from bar to dj booth to downstairs to aerial performing spaces to photo booth to lounge area. They often host fun DJs including many from BM. I find the energy here to be very positive and creative. Recently came for NYE event and loved the way they decorated the space.

Cute place!! Went for a quick drink while waiting for our spot at the pawn shop, and I really liked some of their fruity cocktails. On the weekday we came, there was a relatively large amount of seating that made it easy to catch up. Loved the little photo booth too!

Come here if you don't want to be respected or don't want to have fun on your birthday! The check in worker collecting cover went out of his way to be deliberately rude to me :) Not worth the $25 cover, I used to love this place but after the way I was treated by staff- I will not be coming back!!

This place charged my card for my drinks and someone else's drinks (an extra $48 on my card) and never responded to my emails requesting reimbursement. I won't even come to this venue if my favorite artist is playing there.

Wow, I overheard it's connected to Pink Mammoth, but just gossip. Never again to this place. SMH... The customer service, FOH including security was crap. Geez. Sad attitude for industry workers almost arrogant... The cocktails weren't even standard. Also, this is the absolute worst location, Mission and 6th. This is the area televised for homelessness and crime that's rampant in SF. Pass on this location...

If you know you know! They book a lot of DJs weeknights who bring crowds who actually care about music a nice plus!

The location at night can get sketchy, the first thing that happened as we got out of the Uber was a scary dude offering us crack. The drinks i got all ranges average to bad, but the place itself has a great vibe. If you are drinking on the upper level and then down it's like completely changing places. Pretty cool but would only go back for a DJ that is worth it.

Hi, I'm In business travel with a great friend of mine, we're both from LA, and last Sunday we ended up at best cool looking club which I want to refer to you. Monarch at San Francisco is seriously the place to be! The atmosphere is electric, the music is on point, and the vibes are unbeatable. Highly recommend checking in out!

Great DJ last night. She was good. Got there like 11 and she was playing some dope mixes. The dude behind the bar was smashing it out, literally hustling. Working hard and serving drinks with speed and precision. Female "security" was obnoxious, yea I get she was doing her job: but legit telling everyone to put their mask back on after sipping a drink: stupid ass rules. What's the point in wearing a mask when you're dancing in a club and breathing through said mask and all those germs are flowing throughout the room.. joke..

group of friends and I went here on Saturday night for their reopening event after the club was closed for the pandemic. We bought tickets in advanced for about $20 each. We were really excited to check out this club because we heard lots of good things and also all of us had just turned 21. When we got to the club, the security guards outside were really nice but the check in lady who was checking tickets and charging people cover was extremely rude. I had 3 tickets on my phone for 3 people and when I showed her the tickets she was annoyed that I was taking so long to scroll through my phone to find all the tickets. The main thing that pissed me off happened 20 mins after. My other friend arrived late and was outside so I went to meet him at the check in counter. I scrolled through my email for his ticket and clicked on the wrong email with the ticket I had already used to check in. Simple mistake and misunderstanding. The check in lady screamed at me and said "HONEY DONT EVER TRY TO PULL SOMETHING LIKE THAT WITH ME" She calmed down after I told her I wasn't trying to pull anything and my friend ended up just paying $20 cause we couldn't find the email with the other ticket. Her entire attitude and her yelling at me ruined honestly the entire night and a day later I'm still infuriated with the way she talked to me as I've been to lots of clubs and I've never been treated like that. I really wanted to like this club as the sound system was awesome, the drinks were good, and the photo booth they had was cool but the check in lady's attitude ruined it for our whole group, we just got a bad vibe, and we left after 30 mins. I honestly would've probably give this place 4 or 5 stars if it wasn't for the incident with the check in lady. Don't think I'll ever come back unless they fire that lady.

I visited SF in late FEB 2022. Walked into this bar to wait for a table for the bar next door and WOW! The level of service me and my GF received from the bartender Erick and Ramiro was SUPERB. High high quality of hospitality. Erick is the fastest bartender Ive seen without compromising quality dude just conquers the craft. Ramiro was also a very welcoming and attentive individual. When my friends from SD ask me about my SF trip this place is one I want to talk about and recommend. Shot out to the team !! Will be back when in town.

I have been coming to and also performing at this unique nightclub and bar for over a decade now and it is still one of my hands down favorites in San Francisco. What makes Monarch great is the community, the wacky, fun events that the owners are always brewing up, a TOP NOTCH, WORLD CLASS Void Sound system (in the downstairs room with practically perfect acoustics), delicious drinks and a really artistic "Neo Art Deco" vibe... This club deserves WAY more than 3.5 stars... DESPITE the fact that is is located in the hood... I am forever more a fan!!!

Went to see a DJ friend of mine and brought the back-of-house donuts, the door guy proceeded to allow someone who punched me in the back of the head on the dance floor back into the club and refused to let me even say goodbye to my friends. I can't think of a place in San Francisco I would like to spend less time...

Locals & electronic music aficionados know that Monarch has been home to many amazing events & acts over the years. Sure, the neighborhood can be a bit dicey, and there may be a lame security guard at the door every once in awhile, but overall this place is a legendary SF gem with amazing (Void) sound [downstairs], craft cocktails, quality beers & world-class DJs.

I love this bar!!! It has everything from taco Tuesday, great cocktails in the reading room, to dirty beats in the basement!! Its a one stop shop!! What else can one ask for in a bar. Make sure you make a pit stop in the photobooth you can thank me later.

What an amazing venue ! Two bars ! Amazing drinks , Tamu is just simply the best bartender. Attentive and what a professional poursmith. Love it here. Visiting from LA and will be back !

I moved to San Francisco a year and a half ago, Monarch is the one place I come to consistently, probably on a weekly basis....multiple times (don't judge). Music is great every weekend -- techno, hip hop, house music, they got it. Production is A+. Their staff is friendly, not over friendly which gets a little annoying, but the perfect amount of friendly where engagement is mostly dependent on me. Oh...and they make killer cocktails. Security used to be a little a solid C , but I've noticed in managements approach to dialing in their security team these last few months, and it is appreciated. Looks like they got some actual professionals in there. ALSO, they serve food now from their restaurant next door (the Pawn Shop). Foods amazing, happy hours are great. I can rave about this place on and on but I won't. Just go, see for yourself, and prepare to become a regular.

Monarch holds a real special place in my heart. The people who run this place are absolute gems. They gave me the opportunity to put on my first club event here and helped me with the million and a half questions I had. The event was a major success (many thanks to their guidance along the way). This place feels like home!

I've been coming to Monarch for 5+ years and love not just the beautiful Art Deco Decor, but the sense of passion and love that goes into this place. Upstairs at the bar at Monarch the staff is always so informative and happy to help in every way they can. Their bar has everything from the normal Bud Light, to the most extravagant cocktail you've ever tried. They also have an amazing Japanese Whisky collection in their EDR. Additionally they have Taco Tuesday with mouth watering tacos and happy hour (with food!!!) every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On certain nights they also have the club open downstairs from 9:30-late which is an intimate setting. They have all kinds of music and amazing acts, mostly under the EDM umbrella. If you're traveling here or just want a fun night out on the town it's a must see!

honestly they cleaned this place up like crazy and its SUPER nice..it was never gross before but the bathrooms downstairs are NICE now lol. music is loud and thumping, primo! one of my favorite nightclubs in SF, they really bring the funk and legendary artists like Greg Wilson, Daniele Baldelli, Sleazy McQueen...best intimate DJ atmosphere! ALSO kudos to the security taking actions on kicking psychos out. people just need to realize that its not the clubs fault if people are over protective over their spot in front of the DJ (there's always at least 1!!), so just roll with it and move to another spot and let the idiots be alone, find your good vibe in another spot! xox

I LOVE THE MONARCH!!! I came here for the first time on a Friday night because my friend got us tickets, and I had so much fun!!! We came around 10 pm (post-Covid in July 2021) and tbh I don't remember who the dj was that night (we were mainly dancing in the downstairs area) but she was so good!! There's 2 floors (main floor with the bar and a smaller area with a dj and a dance floor) and a much larger downstairs dance floor (with a bar as well) where a different dj is playing his or her music. I used the bathroom downstairs and it was clean! They also have free water on both floors, so I was grateful for that! I don't even know how to describe the genre of music played at the Monarch, but it was like super chill, electronic, but not even mainstream EDM music or anything, bass music, underground SF party vibes. This previous statement probably didn't even make any sense lol but I had such an amazing time and can't wait to go back!! :)

There's a special place in San Francisco's heart for Monarch. The staff are warm, friendly, and invested in providing a great experience for all of their patrons. They care about the safety of their patrons and community. The food from the Pawn Shop during happy hour is fantastic, and the music and atmosphere is always on point. My love for monarch is endless!

Pros: -Good sound quality -Nice tech house music on the night that we visited -Reasonable cover (but cash only) -2 floors with different music (upstairs was hip hop)... as other reviews stated, you can visit upstairs only which has no cover -Drink prices are not terrible Cons: -Crowd is a little cliquey

There is absolutely no need to pay a $21 cover to attend this downstairs club (upstairs lounge is free). It's not bad but it's also not superior to plenty of others that offer guest lists all over the city. The ground level has interesting light installations and an overall trendy decor. However the downstairs dance floor is rather plain and VERY VERY HOT and stuffy. You don't even need to be dancing to start sweating bullets. Tonight's DJs were deep house. It was nice but not terribly exciting to dance to. Overall, this was one of those rare times that I didn't enjoy dancing the night away. I might pop in for a drink in the lounge if I am in the area but as long as there continues to be a cover and no guest list, my friends and I will not return for the club. FUN FACT: There is a photo booth in the lounge but it was broken when I was there. Broken photobooth for young women is the equivalent of offering candy to a child and then withholding it. Ignorance is bliss my friends. NOTE: If you aren't familiar with SF, this street has high crime levels (it's safe for you, just not your stuff). So if you happen to drive and park by the venue, don't be an idiot and leave nothing visible in your car or it WILL be broken into. I wouldn't lalagag on my smartphone either, it will get snatched.

I was very eager to try out the new hottest spot in town, The Pawn Shop, which happens to be next door to Monarch. We were quoted a 30-45 minute wait for a table and instructed to wait it out at Monarch. Although Monarch was our unplanned waiting spot, I ended up liking it more than The Pawn Shop. There's usually a cover to get into Monarch at night and that's waived if you come in wearing the gold Pawn Shop chain. It was about 10pm on Saturday night and not very full. The 3 of us sat at a comfortable couch in the back room by the bar. The music was playing but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't have a conversation. The guys were very happy with their Hibiki 17 and I had a good enough Moscow Mule. We only had enough time for one drink before our table next door was ready. Although it was a short visit to Monarch, it was a good one.

This is the only club that I can go to where I don't feel preyed upon by a bunch of douche bags. There are still plenty of GOOD LOOKING people- but the staff takes good care to make sure the vibe is safe and inclusive. Also I just fucking love monarch. Best music, best themed parties, best drinks, best vibes, most beautiful fun people who are out to have a good time. The only club I go to*** ***except also Great Northern, run by the same people, hence why it's also legit

What a traumatizing nightmare experience on October 27th, 2018 at Monarch!!! I don't write a review, but when I do it has to be either exceptionally good service or the extremely bad. Unfortunately, Monarch was the extremely bad one. The bouncer who was claiming he was the manager attacked me both verbally and physically. He literally held me up in the air and was squeezing my arms and shaking my body while yelling on my face. My arms were sore the next day, where he was touching and squeezing me - it was that harsh. The whole scene looked like the King Kong movie scene - because I'm a tiny girl about 100 pounds and he's 5 times bigger than me. I heard someone took a video of the scene and I hope that person posts it somewhere on social media and go viral. Because he was literally harassing a girl who's the quarter size of him. I'm extremely upset and disgusted about the way that this bouncer INSULTED and HARASSED me. Totally inappropriate and unacceptable!!! Long story short, it was 10 of us in the line with prepaid tix for Halloween night. He did not let us in, because he claimed that one of the girls was too drunk. She was fine and did not cause any trouble nor drama to anyone. However, we were professional and patient enough to take his advice and came back in 45 min. Then, of course, he still did not let us in. I was trying to explain the situation as nice way as possible and accidentally tapped on his chest (really it was like a friendly tap or like petting a kitten type). I was shocked and froze, the fact that he attacked me like an animal in such a harassing and insulting way. No one ever treated me like that ever before!!! I feel extremely disgusted and disappointed. It still hurts to recall back that memory :'( I don't know whatever he was going through that night but he needs to learn to manage his anger issue, treat a customer with professionalism, and most importantly respect WOMAN!!! Don't you have women in your life? Aren't you born from your mother? And where are your professionalism, chivalry and human morale? To the Monarch management, please hire the right people or at least train them and teach them the basic manner, customer service skills, and professionalism! All I wanted was just simply celebrate my Master's Degree graduation/Halloween night with my friends turned into hell - all because of the rude disrespectful bouncer. We've always liked coming to Monarch. But from now on, we will never visit there again - and will spread the word to everyone I know. Thanks for your patience to read it through. I wrote everything that happened, because people needs to know how shitty this bouncer is or it might be even management issue since the bouncer was claiming that he's the manager. Whatever it is, the Monarch needs total makeover for their staff! Otherwise pretty soon they'll be closed down.

I love this place. I've seen amazing artists and had some of the best lowkey music discovery nights of my SF life here! Bartender upstairs in the back is especially great. Overall, the bartenders here are great about being fairly speedy on the drink front, and there is always a wonderful couch to sit on upstairs (that looks like my mother's couches, with a twister gothic, cool vibe). Bringing newbies here is a favorite thing to do. The decor and multiple atmospheres (club and upstairs bar/living room) in single location is a great way to introduce someone to the city nightlife and see how they vibe with it. Keep being you Monarch!

Small, intimate club-drinks are expensive; bouncer had difficulty controlling crowd due to lack of space moving from room to room; two co-ed bathrooms-always a line waiting to go to the bathroom . . . Club is fine but security is garbage. Came back to read some other reviews to see if I was the only one who experienced this. Seems like others have written about racial biases and power tripping bouncer(s). This is my experience as well. Came her before COVID lockdowns with some of my friends from out of town and one of them left their ID at his house. We were just discussing who would go back with him to get it. We got stamped and everything but then when the bouncer came around to our group, he denied us entry because apparently we were "plotting to get in with fake IDs". He claimed to have heard our conversation about getting IDs. But that was just because one person from our group left his at home. None of our IDs are fake, we are well above legal age. He spoke to us in a threatening tone as we tried to talk some sense into him because his accusations were stupid and untrue. Unreasonably aggressive and rude. Left a bitter taste in my mouth as i'm coming back to write this review months after the fact. Don't know if it was just because we were Asian that we got treated so shitty. Do better.

Gotta be honest...the FREE PHOTO BOOTH lured me in. Friend had a birthday dinner on a Friday night downtown, and we wanted to find a bar to go afterwards. DRINKS - Rasputin: pleasantly refreshing! I just remember raspberry, mint, and some whiskey was involved. The big plus was the mint. It was decently strong. - Rickshaw: my friend got this drink! This seriously tasted like grapefruit juice, but it packed a kick so don't be fooled. PRICES I think the special house drinks were $10, which is a bit steep but that's SF for you. ATMOSPHERE Top floor was more loungey--there's huge couches all around with big tables. There seemed to be a dance floor on the bottom, but since we didn't want to pay to get in (or to check our coats + bags), we opted to chill upstairs. Apparently there's some kind of trapeze acts on wknd nights too, but we didn't stay long enough to see. Gotta come back! LOCATION Since it's SOMA, the walk there is a bit sketch so come with a large grp of friends! It's easy to miss cos it sits between 2 adult book/video stores, haha. Close proximity to downtown and BART. EXTRAS Photo boot ftw! It wasn't crowded at all and it comes with pretty backgrounds. Remember the last pic will be the biggest one, so pose accordingly for that

Your security guard is TRASH!!! The big dude outside, who doesn't know his security features of a real ID. You're bad for business buddy. Get somebody else who know real from fake ID's. Also, Your website said $12 and you were charging $20 at the door. What? B

It's a laid back bar. Cool decorations with a photo booth. Good place to stop for a bit before moving on to the next. Sometimes they have entertainment (girls dancing through hoops). Drinks are good at average price.

We went to monarch, had a guy wearing a blue button down tell us to wait outside for 10 min when we got to the business at 8:50pm. Got to the front desk when they allowed up inside at 9pm to then charge us at $25 cover. Two boys two girls $25 each over even though we got to the business before cover would be charged. Would never go here again. Nobody outside making a line, empty inside. Would never recommend this business again.
