I came here by myself and the service and staff are so kind and friendly. The food is amazing and the prices are very fair. I got a large bowl and gave the rest to a homeless down the street. Bring the family, it's a relaxing atmosphere here. 20 out of 10!

Google
I go there often. It is consistent, and appealing. Worth the money if you like to eat out. Large portions, if you don't stack your bowl they charge accordingly(price is lowered)

Google
This place was great! It was so fun to pick out what I wanted in my dish and to pick the exact sauce combination I wanted. The customer service is awesome, I always get seated right away, and I love the little cup of sherbet you get at the end! The prices are a tad high for what you get but I guess it makes sense because you could fill up your bowl with just meat which is expensive for the restaurant to purchase.

Google
This restaurant has become my absolute favorite in town. The food is simply amazing. Very clean and the service is very good. The chefs have been very helpful in suggesting and adding sauces whenever I didn't put enough. After trying out several Mongolian restaurants over the past two years, my family and I have decided that this is the only one we go to now. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Google
Best Mongolian Barbecue in Boise. Lots of selection, pleasant employees and you can tell they make an effort to have quality ingredients.

Devin Goodson

Google
Good prices and kind staff, even a large bowl is around 16 dollars with as much meat and noodles as you want, your encuraged to stack the bowl as high as possible and even the staff do so for the to go orders. I didnt realize this and only filled my large bowl to the top they without mention only charged me for a small bowl, also its pretty quiet and spaced out so not having to hear everyone else

Google
Delicious food, super nice people, great atmosphere. You make your own bowl and chef will cook for you, love that idea. Would come back every time when visit this area. Cheers 🥂

I'm not one for trying new places but for months my boyfriend tried to convince me to go to Mongolian so at last I finally decided to go. It was an amazing choice and I enjoyed every moment. From the time we walked in where we were immediately greeted and seated to choosing from the vast variety of options to watching the food being cooked in front of us. I would also like to add about how attentive the staff is. Our waiter's name was Brittany (sorry if I spelled it wrong), and she was kind and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend coming here on a date or even a lunch break. 💞 Keep up the good work y'all.

Yelp
Every time I go home to Boise I head here! I love the options, the delicious food and the cleanliness!

Yelp
I have to tell you I love a good Mongolian BBQ. This one is just your typical Mongolian BBQ. The veggies were fresh and plentiful. Only three options for the meats (beef, chicken and pork) what they had looks and tasted good. The standard choice of sauces. They have three options for the size of bowl. The decor was not much to talk about with a few paintings and other Asian decorations. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. I liked that they scrubbed the cook top between every cook in fact the cook top almost glistened. Try this one, you will like it.

Yelp
Typical set up for these places. Meats, veggies, noodles and sauces. I make about the same combination everywhere I go. To my surprise, it was bland. I mean bland. The cook put so much water in with the cooking process the veggies and meats came out boiled, not grilled. I tried improving the flavor by adding jalapenos and dried Japanese chilis - still could not revive the bowl of bland. Not good. They should change the name from Mongolian Bistro to Mongolian Bland Boil. Mongolian Fire Grill in Nampa is head and shoulders better than this. The Mongolian place in Eagle is better than this. The Mongolian place on State street in Garden City is better than this. Huge disappointment after reading all the rave reviews on Yelp. Must be that Boise residents like bland. Figures. The rainbow crowd. They must get off on the dessert which is Rainbow Sherbet that has been frozen to the hardness of a golf ball. But don't fret, the miniature plastic spoon (see photo) will cut through it in about an hour. No fortune cookie today, but here is your fortune if you eat here...Bland with a side of bland served on sticky tables. The COVID freaks would go nutz in this place.

Yelp
Clean, fresh and incredible service. I like the nut choices because I don't care for meat in my Mongolian.

Yelp
If you're in the neighborhood looking for Mongolian stir-fried noodles, this is your place! Here you've got your classic build your own stir-fry bowl with 3 sizes that you can pile high with veggies, meats, noodles, and all the sauce you could ever want. Plus, if you go before 4:30 pm, you can tap into the lunch price for your bowl, starting at $6.99 for a 'Little Khan.' My strategy is to pile the veggies and meat to the brim of the bowl, followed by a heaping pile of noodles that is at least 2 times the height of the bowl. But beware - the noodles cook down pretty well so you shouldn't skimp on them! The restaurant has a lot of space inside with booth seating and table seating all around the self-serve area and central grill. Ingredients are well stocked, seemingly fresh, and staff members were friendly! I would recommend trying it out if you're in the mood for saucy noodles with toppings you hand pick (literally) or if you want to eat a bunch for a good deal! Thank you Mongolian Bistro! :)

Yelp
Inside out: this place has extremely ample parking and easy access. They are incredibly clean and enforce their social distancing and sanitizing and provide gloves. The decor is interesting and the fish tanks are fun to watch. Food: it's really exciting to be able to make your own choices but also if it's bad it's your fault. I've had friends that don't get noodles and still really enjoy what they get. All the ingredients seem fresh, the sauce selection is vast. Service: The people there are friendly I've never had a problem with service Overall: this is a great place because no matter what you get it seems to get more than one meal out of it and the prices are very reasonable. I enjoy it and don't know why I don't go more often.

Yelp
My wife have been to couple of these Mongolian grills in the treasure valley. My wife is a big fan since the days during her first pregnancy in Carlsbad, California. Unfortunately each and every location since then simply hasn't been able to capture the magic and overall experience until maybe now I won't get into the why's as what happened at the others locations in Boise and Eagle but I am thankful that Greg left an informative review for this location which helped me a lot. I'll be honest, we've probably drive this strip mall more times than I can remember and never once noticed that there was a Mongolian Grill here. On the drive over, my wife was convinced that we were going to the Thai location by the Overland cinemas. It was an Ah ha moment when we passed it LOL The grill was busy which is always good sign. There's nothing over the top remarkable about the service or the help as it's pretty typical. In all of these scenarios, you the customer do all of the work besides slaving around the hot grill For me the key to any Mongolian grill is the crispness and freshness of the ingredients. This is especially true if like me you don't eat meat. I like that there two different tofu options and really liked that the noodles were freshly cooked. Matter of fact they were want to the touch as I attempted to scoop them up as they spilled out of my bowl. The next trick in my opinion is to get the sauce and ladles correct. Most customers mess this up they don't take into consideration that they chefs use a lot of water to move your bowl ingredients along the grill essentially diluting your sauce and flavors. Here's what I do 1. Get my veggies and tofu 2. Skip the noodles and add half of the recommended ladles of sauces per bowl size 3. Get your noodles 4. NOTE : This location has additional topping like dry chili peppers and chili sauces Yeah !! 5. Pour the other half of ladles sauces. 6. For sauces. I also do the garlic and the spicy ones first then the bbq and Mongolian sauces last. I do this because I want the spicy and the bbq ones typically get washed away in the cooking process My bowl was awesome. The only change is that I would have put a little more tofu but hey that's me. My wife didn't follow the steps and her bowl was meh. It's a lot of food and not inexpensive. For two is was close to $30. There's plates as well. But it's not explained as to why the plates are hidden and how you can use them. I think the plate is what I would next time but a $14 one

Yelp
This is my favorite Mongolian BBQ place in the Treasure Valley. The staff is friendly and the food is always fresh and bright. Seems like a family business although I don't know for sure. Also, affordable and they have a punch card you can get for the tenth free.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend were visiting boise and came to this restaurant the first day we were there. We were super excited to eat here based off of reviews and our love for the food but ended up having a weird uncomfortable experience. We got the biggest bowl which was all you can eat and was told we absolutely had to put more stuff in our bowls even though they were filled to the rim. After getting our food we ate while being stared and watched the whole time by another staff member, when finished we did not feel comfortable enough to go back and get seconds even though we paid for all you can eat. We paid and left but was chased out into the parking lot by another staff who was not our server concerned and asking us if we had paid our bill... Just overall not good vibes and not good enough food for them to be treating their customers like that. Hope they can do better for the next people and for their business

Yelp
Um, what's up Idaho? I gave this a shot thinking it was fun to try something that doesn't exist back home but yikes I wish I didn't. There is no darn way in heck this is a 4.5 Star spot. I have to balance the scales here so I'm being a bit harsh. Food tasted fine enough; most things were frozen between meats and veggies. One type of noodle so I skipped it since I'm gluten free and they were ramen noodles. Sauces looked and tasted watered down; the peanut sauce was almost clear liquid. The restaurant was dirty, almost all the tables along the wall we were seated needed to be bussed. We got our food cooked and at the table faster than the drink order we placed before putting our bowls together. If I was local and for some reason craving this I'd take it to go; but I'm guessing pretty much anywhere is better than here. Sorry folks. This Cali girl was not impressed.

Yelp
Great calming ambiance, perfect to unwind. Their veggies are fresh with a wide selection of meats and tofu. The service is top notch, family owned and big bonus they serve alkaline water with your food for free. What a pleasant surprise, looking forward to another delicious meal.

Yelp
I love this place. Super fresh, attentive and kind staff, clean, and yummy. It's always delicious every time I come.

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite Mongolian places to go to to feast on a large bowl of noodles, fully customized by me. The inside of this place is very spacious, which means a ton of seats waiting for people to sit at. I like this because I am able to grab a bowl of noodles and find myself an empty table, where I can be away from the other customers (that's just who I am as a person). The restaurant is clean every time I come in for a visit and the staff are very kind and diligent. They have a great selection of meats, vegetables, and any other food ingredients that are fresh to pile. They have three sizes of bowls to choose from: Little Khan, Mighty Khan, or Barbarian Bowl (small, medium, or large). They also provide a good amount of sauce choices to season up the noodles. The noodle bowl take around five minutes to cook and the aroma of the noodles really stand out. I usually put sriracha sauce on my noodles and they taste absolutely amazing. I love this location because they give a small cup of sherbet ice cream at the end of each meal. They also have a stamp card that is eligible to receive a free, any sized bowl of noodles. Overall, this location is exceptional and high of satisfactory.

Yelp
I am a fan of this place! I've eaten only at a few mongolian places and this is my favorite one. Why I like this place over the other two: 1. The location. Quick, easy, in and out! 2. The seating-- they have tons here! They can be super packed and still lots of room to sit. 3. Good selection, at least I think. They don't pressure me to add more sauce like the other two I went to... they'll just use water. 4. They say thank you and SMILE... really did you just smile at me and say thank you more than once... and I feel that you really meant it! 5. You don't have to ask for rice. They will offer it and will get your preference (white or brown). 6. When you're done eating you get a little sherbet with your check and your fortune cookie. 7. They have a club card to stamp. Pretty cool. 8. Prices aren't bad. Overall, I personally like this place-- I think the people that work there basically live there as the same people are always there and I've been there 10 or more times!

Yelp
Great food and friendly team. Large selection of fresh ingredients and several spicy options. I really enjoy the pre fried tofu.
google avatar

Dennis K.

Yelp
A real disappointment...a wok is supposed to quickly stir fry food, but my bowl of veggies and meats and secondary bowl of oil and seasonings got drowned in spray after spray of water to help everything not stick to the surface...what good is measuring out things like sesame oil, garlic and ginger if everything gets drowned by water??! Also, the service was basic and taciturn...no customer service, no follow up except to drop the check. A little scoop of white rice the size of 1/2 baseball...for real??!? A dollop of ice cream the size of a malted milk ball...portion control to the nth degree! A real disappointment. I won't be coming back here, that's for sure.

Yelp
Good. Different kind of setup. Staff and family was very nice.......worth giving a goooo

Yelp
This is one of the many Mongolian places in town. Is it particularly unique? No. Will it change your life? Nope. Is the service amazing? Not necessarily. Do they provide a serviceable pile of noodles with an array of fresh ingredients and sauces? Yup. Is it affordable and quick? Yes. Is it clean? Affirmative. Bonus points for the little cup of rainbow sherbet at the end!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was great, but I was charged $14.25 for a second trip. The all you can eat shows $11.45. WTH!
google avatar

Danielle B.

Yelp
I had an amazing time here. The food was really good and everyone was so nice. It was clean and decorated very nicely. The owners and employees are always smiling and checking up on you making you feel welcomed. My meal was also very affordable. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Lived right behind this place for years growing up so this place always reminds me of home. Every time I visit from California this is the FIRST stop before I even get to my hotel. Unfortunately this one has ruined every place here in California for me as none of the others even come close to comparing in ingredient quality and quantity. Service has always been quick, but it's also a serve yourself restaurant so it's pretty difficult to mess that aspect up. All in all this place is a gem.

Kar M.

Yelp
First time and it was very good. Lots of selection and I for one like the frozen meats. Sliced thin so it cooks quickly but nice and cold to avoid getting warm. Fill your bowl as high as you can as it does cook down. Only turn-off and it wasn't the restaurant but a woman customer who had her bowl so darn full she had to shove it down with her hands. Also when she scooped up the noodles she had such a huge amount she used her hand to stuff some back on the serving tray. Gross person . Everything was fresh and clean
google avatar

Jenny J.

Yelp
This is an excellent Mongolian BBQ place. They do a great job of cooking the ingredients evenly so that the meat isn't too overcooked and the veggies are not too undercooked. The suggested sauce amounts result in overly salty dishes but I just put in half as much as suggested and ask them to add water as needed when cooking and it comes out great. The complimentary sorbet at the end is a nice touch as well. We've gone several times now and I'm learning how to adjust what I get so that my food keeps getting better. Fun!
google avatar

Andrea L.

Yelp
This is one of my MUST go to places when I visit home! I've had good Mongolian food, but none compares to this place! You will pay based on your bowl size, so load it up! Here's the expert advice....put your meats and veggies first, then top it off with your noodles! You can use an extra bowl for your sauces, and don't worry about mixing and matching, it always comes out good! If you're uncertain, ask for recommendations from the staff! (The cooks have a tip jar!!!) bring some cash and thank them kindly!
google avatar

Brett W.

Yelp
Always fresh and yummy. Love the egg rolls. We are always greeted. She makes us the fish sauce for our egg rolls. We always get it to go. It is very convenient to our home. Always very friendly.

Duane H.

Yelp
Always good. A lot of options for food and sauces. Just need to ask the Mongolian cook to not use to much water and the flavor remains!
google avatar

Chanthy N.

Yelp
One day my husband and I decided to drive around town and got hungry and stopped by here, it's kind of hidden due to the location. I like that though because it's fun to get away where no one you know will go there. My husband and I love this place! Seriously, they have everything so fresh! We love the guys who work there! I recommend this place to everyone who loves mongolian! They are great and free rice!
google avatar

Linda H.

Yelp
We love eating here. You definitely get your monies worth. I love that I can put all the stuff I love in my noodle bowl, make it as spicy as I want. Make a large bowl, and have leftovers. Great value for your money. Servers are great, food is wonderful and fresh, have been several times, and always go back when we get a chance.
google avatar

Shamous K.

Yelp
2 1/2 STARS: So tonight for dinner I was debating on going to Chipotle or this Mongolian place. I want to be under $10 and good food. They are the same price if you get a small at Mongolian. I've been here before and the food is good so I decided to go try it again and when I got up to the counter to pay the guy charge me for a medium which was over $10. He said that I over packed my small bowl so he must charge for a large. I must likely won't be returning because of this. Very frustrating
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
This place is the best. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners on a few occasions and even after a very long time without seeing them they always remember me and they are always very kind. The place is always clean and the food is always fresh. And they have the best Rangoon and pot stickers.
google avatar

Chase W.

Yelp
This location has decent food with really watered-down sauces making the food way more bland than it has to be. Service takes about five minutes to refill drinks. After the meal, there were additional charges added to our ticket without our knowledge or consent, when asked about it they refused to remove the questionable charges. I recommend choosing any other Mongolian restaurant in the area over this shady business.
google avatar

Alisha L.

Yelp
If you're craving delicious food you get to take part in creating that will quickly satisfy your appetite and still leave you with tasty leftovers this is the place to go! No wait, no lack of fresh options, super affordable, and friendly servers. What more could you ask for from a Mongolian restaurant? Love this place!

Meagan F.

Yelp
Love love loooooooove this place. Im vegan gluten-free, the rest of my family is a mix of omni and veg. They accommodate everyone. So fresh and cooked right in front of you, millions of combinations with sauces and staff incredibly friendly. Will eat there forever and ever

AnneMarie W.

Yelp
The food was delicious, the kids had a blast watching our dinners be cooked on the grill and checking out the fish tanks. The service was quick and very helpful, we took the cook's advice on sauces and all agreed that they made wonderful choices. We look forward to visiting!

Yelp
Best in Boise, Quaint, Friendly, Great Food Items, Fresh. I always go Large, that way I have some for Later ( it seems when you let it Marinate after cooking & overnight it tastes even Better) I don't know where the argument came from Too Many Noodles, but I always Pile mine up, and I NEVER see a Add-On Price. Guess it depends on the Customer's Attitude. I think the Service is Great, what do you Expect?? Sherbet afterwards is a Great Perk too!!
google avatar

Kristen A.

Yelp
Best Mongolian restaurant in boise! Always great service! This time the even served small scoops of sherbet with the check!

Tom H.

Yelp
My favorite Mongolia BBQ restaurant. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. Sauces are not watered down. Love the little sherbet and fortune cookie at the end.
google avatar

Sun-hae K.

Yelp
One of the best Mongolian restaurants in Boise. Friendly service and nice meat and vegetable selection. Clean interior.

Jojm S.

Yelp
This place is clean, tasty and friendly. The trifecta for this style of restaurant. Really tasty food, you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
While they mostly have the ubiquitous swirl peppermints, there are a few gems thrown into the candy dish at the register. Though conflicted on the topic of authenticity when it comes to fortune cookies, they do offer those with the check.

Sam H.

Yelp
The best Mongolian in the valley and the customer service is amazing! Never been to a friendlier Mongolian BBQ.

Michael O.

Yelp
I mean, I literally made a Yelp account to give this place a review. I'm a little too lazy to actually write out a well-thought review, but the 5 stars should say enough.
google avatar

Ryan W.

Yelp
Friendly service. Always clean. Fortune cookie and ice cream with check. can't beat this place in Boise.
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
Very good Mongolian bbq; they had some ingredients I had not seen in similar restaurants. As a bonus, they give you a tiny scoop of ice cream after your meal. Will be by again in the future!

Dana L.

Yelp
Delicious food! The food was very fresh and they even had tofu. Fantastic service!

Scott C.

Yelp
They charged me 4 bucks for an overload fee. I ordered the biggest bowl they have so I could load as much as I want. Not the first time I've caught them sneaking in random charges. I told them this would be my last time doing business if they charged me that overload fee. They said that would be fine with them. These guys are sneaky watch out for the rip off

Stephen P.

Yelp
I attempted to use the paper printout of a buy one get one free that I purchased with points from my Allstate rewards account. They denied it. I will never go back.
