I visited the crepe stand at the RVA Big Market recently hoping to try a savory crepe. The menu wasn’t very clear about options and pricing, which led me to ask several questions. I didn’t initially want the salad that comes with the savory crepe, but I thought the salad still came with the sweet crepe base I ordered. I chose savory toppings and was okay with leaving the salad on (savory base or not) because I didn’t want to complicate my order. Earlier, the owner offered to remove the salad and give me a discount if I chose the savory crepe base, but I preferred the original sweet crepe base, which is how I’ve usually had crepes- savory toppings or not, even when visiting France, and realized I didn’t care about the salad or not. I told the man at the register that if the salad came with the crepe I had just ordered, I would take it, as I would have done with the other savory base option. He then explained that the salad didn’t come with that crepe base I ordered, and I said that was fine and that my order was complete, but that’s when the woman preparing the crepes visibly rolled her eyes. I understand everyone can have a tough day, and I was having a difficult morning myself. I was also very indecisive because things weren’t made clear. I just wanted some clarity about the menu. Because of this experience, I chose not to order and left disappointed. I likely would have been a repeat customer because I like supporting local businesses. Two stars, because the man at the register was kind and very helpful, willing to answer my questions.

I'm the leasing agent for The Berkshire Apartments and we recently had Monique's Crepes participate as the food truck for the VCU Housing fair/Open house event that we hold. It was awesome! All of our residents said nothing but wonderful things and our staff wouldn't stop talking about how good of a choice it was to have them cater the event! We had some parking issues and Monique and her team used excellent problem solving skills and figured it out in a way that worked for the residents and all of the visitors in attendance! The whole team (and the crepes) were nothing but excellent and we would love to have them back for another event!

I live in Europe and one of my favorite spots is St. Malo, Brittany, arguably the spiritual home of the famous "Breton Galettes'' those delicious French buckwheat pancakes, quite distinct from traditional crepes. So, I can say with some ''authority'' :-) that Monique Pecors has beautifully recreated this delightful Breton specialty! I recently sampled her expertise at Richmond's outdoor market, and I HIGHLY recommend you all go out and do the same! You won't be disappointed!

Ordered crepes at Monique’s food truck at last nights First Friday—so disappointing. The fillings were very interesting but…..the crepe was like cardboard?!?! tough and dry. Can’t compare with their past—haven’t had them but these were not inexpensive and were barely edible.😟

I have to update my initial review in March 2020. I initially felt that this was a great food truck but unfortunately, over the past year, I no longer feel the same. I have coordinated food trucks for my neighborhood since the start of the pandemic (March 2020). This truck has increasingly been more difficult to deal with and schedule. Most recently, I reached out on January 8th to schedule them for brunch service in my neighborhood on Feb 28th (tomorrow); a date we both agreed on. I sent an email today to confirm everything (get an updated menu, confirm the time, provide my contact info, get the online link, etc.) and I shortly received a phone call telling me that she double booked us and she couldn't make our scheduled service. This was very disappointing to my neighbors, who were looking forward to them coming, and to me, volunteering my time and efforts to coordinate regular trucks on top of my full time career for my community. So unprofessional, disorganized and disappointing.

I sometimes go very far out of my way to attain these tasty crepes. They have a satisfying selection of various fresh toppings. A food truck has since nor before been run so expertly and cleanly. Delightful and polite staff that warm my heart ♥️🍓🥖🍨☕️⭐️🌹

I dined in the park at Monique's Crêpes on Monday, June 12, 2017, shortly after my arrival on my first trip to Ashland, Virginia. It is not often that one is able to enjoy crêpes in Virginia, and with Monique preparing them, one should jump at the opportunity. I have not written many reviews for Google Maps, and I will not write many--there are already too many food experts now prowling the marketplace, and writing with great zeal about . . . anything they have eaten. What I wrote the day after to Monique herself about my experience should suffice: "Thank you so much for preparing your beautiful crêpe 'Alexander the Crêpe' for me today—it is the best food I have had for lunch since I began taking photographs on the road ten years ago. Fortunately you delivered it so hot that I had time to photograph it from several angles before I found the aroma wholly irresistible, and gobbled it up! When I got home I told my son about my lunch, and he said, 'Her name was Monique, wasn’t it?' I was properly astonished, but he and my wife Sheila had previously been customers of yours on your trip to Newport News—and they will never forget you!" If you have never had a crêpe--or if you love them as I do--I recommend you visit Monique!

Have had their Crepes multiple times and always delicious. They also use environmentally friendly packaging and utensils. Other food trucks should take note!
